10/19: Ladies and gentleman please take a look at the expert diagnosis Taylor automotive provides you after charging $80 for a checkup... My quote back from Taylor automotive started at $3500, before Gary their service manager noticed he added “too many brake pads” on the quote, bringing it down to $2800. wow, much better.I picked up my car, later looked for my parts that costed me $378 (2002 Lexus es300, basically a 2005 Toyota Camry). Spark plugs, coils, engine wash, rotors/brake pads all online, and $400 for labor with a independent mechanic, about $800.Their excuse is a “5 year, 60k warranty” that no other shop will offer, so if you’re willing to pay more than triple the price on parts (that aren’t even negotiated, there’s options for your rotors/brake pads that were never given to me) and quadruple the price on labor for said warranty, then this is the shop for you.

They are honest and polite! As a female I could easily get taken advantage of, but they told me my brakes didnt need to be replaced yet and were in good working condition still. I trust them and their sincerity! They are the only place we take our vehicles to for repairs! Thank you Taylor Automotive team for being the best!!

I was referred to Taylor Automotive by a close friend who had work done and raved about their work and services. That was about 2 years ago. I’ve had several services/maintenance work done on my vehicle in that time. Tyler has NEVER steered me wrong or tried to sell me services or parts I didn’t need! He is one of the most honest mechanics I’ve ever dealt with. They look out for your best interest and are one of the more affordable mechanics in town! Tyler and his technicians are always helpful and professional. Although I’m relocating out of Texas soon I will continue to refer local folks where I can. I was very much in dire straits and scrambling to get our car checked because it was making a ticking noise. We called around 10AM and while there were no promises made, Gary got our car in at a timely fashion, had the mechanics diagnose the issue along with a quick oil change while we were at it, and ready for pick up around 1PM. Had to get my son’s vehicle towed here due to a dead battery and a corroded cable. Gave this place 3 stars due to non-communication, I had to call everyday to check on the status and as well as the pricing for parts and labor, they are on the HIGH side.

So i see many reviews for this place and after my first experience thought i would give mine. First of all i heard about this place from my mom who told me my late grandmother knew the owner paul taylor and that he is a honest and fair man so based off that i gave them a try. I called on friday and got a quote for a repair for my 2008 chevy impala that had the rear window not rolling up. The man who answered was named tyler and he told me that to fix that the estimate cost is about 300 dollars. Seemed a bit much but after calling around to other places they turned out to have the lowest quote. Other places were nearly double what taylor gave me. So i took my car there at 8am monday and was told to come back at 10am since that is the soonest they could do anything. Now keep in mind i also was told if i brought my car there monday morning the repair would be done by 230pm. So i went back at 10am and was told they would call me in an hour and a half. So 1130 am rolls around and i heard from noone. So i waited another hour and decided to call myself. I was told by tyler that the part was more for the rear than for the front and that the total cost to fix my car would be 682 dollars. I was stunned since i only had 440 dollars with me. Well he did take 100 off of labor to bring it down to 582. Still i had to borrow money just to get the job done. So i gave them the okay at 1245pm this time they said should be done by the end of the day. So i called back at 230pm and spoke to a mechanic who said they were waiting on the part. Well eventually i called them an hour before closing to be told the part just arrived and i could pick my car up at 550pm. So i wasted a whole day and was given the wrong quote prior to taking the car in and also realized that mr taylor who i was told was fair and honest sold the company to someone else. If i had known that instead of all the positive reviews about this place i would have went somewhere else. Reason being is i could have got the same part for under 100 dollars whereas they charged 351.50 for the part and i could have had another place put it in for under 200 labor and the job wouldve been done in under 2 hours. Lesson learned. Next time i need a repair and someone gives me a quote i want it in writing. Only reason i gave 3 stars as opposed to 1 is they did fix the vehicle and were friendly. Not giving 5 stars since i felt robbed and they could not call me like they said and i had to keep calling them. Now as for me saying other places charge more that is true if i did not have the part myself. I learned later that i couldve saved about 200 dollars so that is how i found out how much the part runs for. Just wanted to clear up any confusion.

Do not go here!!!!They told me I needed all four brakes done. They quoted me 1800 bucks!!! I said no I’ll do the breaks myself. So I pulled off the brakes!! And the brakes were fine!!!! I took my pickup on a Thursday morning for a diagnostic test, was told it would be ready that afternoon. It wasnt ready till the following Tuesday, and they had (supposedly) replaced a sensor without first asking me if it was ok. I had taken it in only for the diagnosis, but figured if it was fixed, what the heck, I dont mind paying the 320.00. Well, a couple weeks later I started having the same problems with it. I paid the 320.00, didnt get the diagnosis, and the trucks still not fixed. I dont think those guys are very good mechanics. They may know how to do an oil change and tune up, but I wouldnt recommend them. They need to get rid of the fish (the Christian symbol), cause thats what lured me in.

I highly recommend Taylor Automotive. I took my 2010 Ford Explorer in last week for a wrench symbol showing to get codes pulled. The code pulled suggested the torque converter clutch was going out. Tyler asked me several questions about if I noticed shaking or noises when driving, to which I answered no. He said to bring it back in when I could so he can do a diagnostic and look over the vehicle to see if it is just a loose wire or something. I brought it in this morning and he looked it over. When he called me he was very honest and said yes it was the torque converter clutch and suggested that I trade the vehicle in because the cost of pulling it apart to fix the issue is more than the vehicle is worth.Their customer service is excellent, they are honest, and very easy to communicate with.

Great crew here, they had to do a transfer case and a set of gears on the 2012 Wranger. It happens when you enjoy the Jeep to its fullest. The staff here are professional and courteous. They let me know what was happening throughout the entire process. We only originally came to have the transfer case swapped, however they found the rear differential gears were bad. We would definitely come back here in the future.

They replaced my engine in only a week. That was 4 ir months ago and my car is still running great. The price was more than fair and they have great customer service. I highly recommend them.

We have used Taylor automotive before and Mr Taylor always guaranteed his work even if we brought in our own parts. This new mechanic wont only if you purchase your parts from them. Had the oil pump replaced (which we supplied) two days later the oil pan started leaking but with no guarantee we had to take it else where to be fixed. Bad business sense on the mechanics part.

Absolutely satisfied with Taylor Automotive. I wish I had found them sooner! Everyone there is a class act, professional, and knowledgeable. I wont ever go back to the dealership for repairs. Additionally, price is exponentially better than the mandatory mark-up a dealer service center will quote you; and the work in my unprofessional opinion is much better quality! Finally, they dont play any upselling games...they inspect, provide proof of inspection, and photo evidence that what they are saying needs attention really needs repair/maintenance. No worrying if theyre just trying to squeeze every penny out of you. Ill be going back again!

There are many car places that will try to get over on you. After spending the last 30 minutes talking with Paul Taylor, the owner, I sincerely believe he is a good, honest man and this was an oversight and mistake. The repair took place awhile back, but Mr Taylor called me up, and asked me how we could resolve this. I still had the gas tank in question, so Mr Taylor came by, brought some Bill Millers tea (love this tea!), we talked for a bit then I showed him the gas tank. Mr Taylor apologized and made it right.I do tech work. Im usually right, occasionally I miss something. In many ways I relate tech troubleshooting to a less physical form of auto troubleshooting. Were not robots, but whats important is that we can own and fix a mistake, and thats what was done here. His ethic reminds me a lot of my grandfather, who had his own mechanic shop out in West Texas. Im rather impressed that I would be willing to give Taylor Automotive further work of mine down the road.

Over priced a part it was the evap system unit for a 2016 durango that was $30 they charged 150 I called every auto part store and all had the same price did not show me the receipt were he bought it from who knows what else they overcharged me forCustomer service was also bad never answered my calls I had to show up at the auto shop to get a quote hope u guys needed that money more than I did

I heard some weird noises when I would accelerate and my husband thought I could have a exhaust leak so we happened to pass by Taylor Automotive and stopped by. Tyler said no problem leave it here and we will take a look and call you tomorrow. We left the car and Tyler called 20 min later and said your car is done. We said what??? He said yep your oxygen cap was unplugged so I plugged it back in and the noise is gone, Merry Christmas! WOW!! This not only made our night, we were so happy to hear it wasnt anything worse but better he was honest!!! Thank you so much for being honest and not poking our eyes out. Tried taking my Subie here again for a brake upgrade, had all the parts, just needed the hands, and was turned down because “we only install our parts” for the guarantee BS..Don’t need a guarantee if you know what you’re doing..should have a waiver form for scenarios like this to not hold you accountable FYI.. Plus he mentioned the last time that they do bolt-on upgrades all the time.. Umm replacing rotors and brake pads are not?? Took my vehicle there for a diagnostic. Once the diagnostic came back his quote was a bit high. Upon telling him I wanted to take my vehicle somewhere else, he began to get rude. Saying things as it’s not fair for him to have to run a diagnostic and me take it to another shop. (But we paid his diagnostic fee.) And that I must want the cheapest mechanic out there. Just all around bad customer service.

Paul and his crew are top notch. I went in to get my A/C checked out in my 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. The air wasnt cold and was making gasping sounds. I expected to get told that the repairs were going to be a couple thousand dollars.Paul and his mechanic got my car in quickly one morning and got my estimate to me in a few hours. They had to order a part from Mitsubishi and that was the only reason they couldnt fix it that day. They gave me a hefty discount on the estimate/system check and the cost of the check counted toward the repair if I decided to get it fixed. Luckily the most expensive parts werent the cause and the repair cost was very reasonable. To top it all off they give military discount that saved me about $100. On the day the parts arrived they ahd my car fixed by lunch and I was cruising with cold A/C again! A huge thank you to Paul and his professional, honest, and military friendly staff.

Worst place DO NOT go there. They over charged us for a battery when that wasnt even close to what was wrong. How do you get that mixed up with a Transmission CVT. It was there a week! We had to tow it to a dealership the next day after they said nothing was wrong with it. Out $200 FOR NOTHING

I had my Honda Oddessy worked on several times by Taylor Automotive by managers Paul and Missy and had a wonderful experience. Recently they sold the business and it is under new manager, Tyler Buchanan. I had my car towed there recently because it was making a terrible sound. During this time I had a couple negative interactions with Tyler. He, unlike the previous owners, was curt, rude, unresponsive. He told me I needed a new engine in my van and emailed me two quotes for thousands of dollars. He did not explain anything to me and put me off to his tech to explain the situation. I felt uneasy about this whole thing so I had my van towed to another mechanic who, when I explained the situation, said he doubted I needed a new engine but couldnt be sure until he saw it. He took a look and sure enough, said it was the timing belt and no engine was needed. He did the whole job for a fraction of the cost that Tyler was recommending. I wrote a negative review of Taylor Automotive and within hours, the owner of the company, Tray Carlisle called me. Tray was a great listener and very apologetic. He was extremely personable and easy to talk to and went above and beyond to make things right. I truly appreciate the time he took to reach out to me and call to find out the details and rectify the situation. Its business owners like Tray who make a business successful. I highly recommend Tray but unfortunately I would not recommend visiting the particular location unless Tray happens to be the one overseeing the work done on my car, or if I had discovered that he replaced Tyler and his tech with different manager and mechanic. I narrowly escaped replacing my vans entire engine!

Ive been going to Taylor Automotive for over 10 years. I heard about them from my dad, as he takes his cars there. I have nothing but great things to say about the level of service I receive. Everytime I have a problem I cant fix I take my car in, get an honest estimate and know that the work is done right. Even though they moved clear across town I still wont go anywhere else.

I had a problem with a check engine code. P0401 EGR valve. After I replaced the EGR valve the problem still remained. According to all internet posts this is a hard problem to pin down and fix on these 2001 Toyota Camrys. I took it here, the gentleman that owns the place had it figured out in an hour. Two parts needed placed, the vacuum switching valve behind the engine by the firewall and Vacuum Modulator. It took an day to fix. I thought because of where the part was it was going to be $600+ He only charged me $313. I cant believe money I wasted at other places before I discovered this place. Great owner. Clean shop, Very honest. On top of that I now have a two year warranty nationwide on the work and parts. I have looked everywhere for someone I can trust now I found one.
