I had an alignment done and had a clunking sound about a week Iater. I decided to remove my tire and inspect and found that the lower control arm bolts were so loose they would have fallen out had I driven any more on it. Luckily I caught it in time.I decided to go ahead and rate D&S a 3 star because of their willingness to correct the problem and redo my alignment for free.Unfortunatly, my confidence in them is shot. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Very friendly and helpful staff though...just double check their work is my recommendation.

I came to San Antonio for family Business. The serpentine belt shredded on my 2013 Dodge Ram 3500. I talking to Steve on the phone for a few minutes, and by the time we got done talking, I knew I came to the right place. Giving 1 star on this repair. Don’t go here - I had my alternator repaired at a very high cost. Drove it 5 miles home. Started the car up in the am and it snapped my serpentine belt, also know as the “alternator” belt. Again I had my car towed back to D&S only to be told it was a “coincidence” that the very belt they had taken on and off was merely bad timing. They still charged me after pleading my case. Don’t trust anything they say - Johnny is a salesman, don’t be mistaken, just go somewhere else.

I am not a natibe to the area. I found this place through my extended warranty on my vehicle. Right away I knew it was certified to handle my VW TDI.The first time my called stalled a few months ago, it was unexpected and I was distraught. I called all around sitting in a grocery store parking lot-- no one could help until I reached out to this shop. They used a 3rd party to come and get my vehicle later that day and added to my bill. The only problem found was an incorrectly installed oil filter and I was a little low on gas, but my car started the next day- no diagnosis codes.So, three months later I go out to the driveway to start my car-- doesnt start. I immediately call D&S. I got it towed to the shop. Was diagnosed in a day and a half. They took my warranty information and I had a new fuel pump and filter installed as soon as the part arrived. Just paid my deductible. No problems. When I couldnt get there before closing, a friend picked up my key and they parked my vehicle out front. So easy and so convenient.

Took my truck in thinking it was one of my water pumps. They discovered the true nature of the leak and let me know and fixed it. I knew that I needed a new turbo and they did an excellent job fixing it. I will use D & S Garage and Diesel Service in the future with all my diesel problems.

Edited review: I brought my truck in for a leveling kit install and alignment. I scheduled my Monday 8am appointment on a Friday after noon due to being quoted about $200 less than another company. I arrive on Monday to drop off my truck for a 3 hour job and am told itll be ready by 4pm (8hours) and itll be $230 more than what I was quoted. After minimal back and forth with the desk attendant, the price went down $150. I call around 330 monday and I am told my truck is almost done and come to get it. I arrive and my truck is no where near done, and whats worse is one of the employees tell me the aligmment machine had been down since Friday, when he serviced his buddies truck. So why schedule someone for a job and start a job you cannot complete? OK, no worries, they install leveling kit by working late (to which I am grateful for them going the extra mile). I call the next day and they are able to squeeze me in (same day) to come back to align the wheels. After a lot of wait, even working past closing time, my truck was done and beautiful. While I sat waiting for my truck to finish, I observed 4 customers thanking D&S Garage and they all seemed to be loyal customers, which shows D&S Garage cares about their customers which has been demonstrated amazingly by Steves feedback and concern for my experience. I have discussed all concerns with Steve, to which i believe he will ensure more smooth processes going forward.

These guys are great at what they do, always shoot straight, stand behind their work, and are reasonably priced. They take care of our Dodge Ram 3500 and BMW M5, and have saved us from dumping thousands of dollars on unnecessary repairs that the dealership service centers were trying to push on us. Such a relief to find a shop we can trust.

So originally I needed roadside assistance and had contacted At Anytime Tire Services located at 809 N Mesquite St....they were supposed to change a flat tire and send me on my way. What they did was break three out of five studs and not tell me. They let me drive off in unsafe conditions. So of course within days my tire blew out due to being put on wrong and also because the studs were broken...I went to discount tire to get the tire changed and that’s when they informed me that my car had been messed up by whoever worked on It beforehand. They didn’t even attempt to take my tire off because the studs were broken and they didn’t want to send me off unsafely. They recommended I go to D & S Garage for an estimate.I came to D & S and was greeted by Leo who is awesome! He gave an estimate before they worked on my car and during the work he let me know of other things needed. He kept me informed during the entire process on how much longer It would be.The experience at D & S was way better than I expected. They have a super nice staff and they worked very hard to get me going safely, in my car.

I normally dont write reviews but, I felt compelled to thank D&S diesel service for an outstanding job repairing my 2012 F350 6.7L. I was originally quoted $10,000.00 and 3-4 weeks to repair my truck from another shop. I did not disclose that to the folks at D&S. They put it through their diagnostics and 3 days and $1000.00 my truck was fixed and back on the road. I appreciate the honesty and quality of D&S that you all work so hard for. It shows!Regards

We broke down just outside of San Antonio. We arrived at the shop just before 2pm. The technicians were so helpful & were even able to find us a spot to park our travel trailer while they worked on our vehicle. They diagnosed the problem, a bad fuel tube, & had it fixed by 6pm!

Steve and the team at D&S Garage were outstanding throughout my truck repair. I own a 2011 F-250 6.7L (125,000 miles) that had check engine light come on. Initially the issue with a code to support it was thought to be a bad fuel injector. I decided to replace the fuel injector but this did not fix the issue. After more diagnosis and a pressure test on the cylinders it was found that #3 cylinder was failing the test. Steve came up with a quote in a timely manner and sent it over. The cylinder heads needed to be replaced along with a few odds and ends to complete the job.Steve was quick to answer all of my questions throughout the job and was very communicative throughout the entire process. Since the original diagnosis was thought to be a fuel injector and was wrong, they didn’t charge me for that part or labor.Overall great experience at D&S and I will be a returning customer in the future. If you have any doubts, don’t, this garage will take care of you.

I was referred to D & S Garage and Diesel after a simple visit to Discount tire became a $200 surprise! My car was pulling side ways and my front tires needed replacement. I was told to check my cars Alignment. I called and they offer a Free Alignment check, I was able to drive from Discount tire to D&S.I was a about to turn back and ask my boyfriend to take care of this, but I decided to go and get it done since it was more of a safety issue.I have to admit I was extremely happy when I opened the door, I walked into a cozy clean waiting area, TV coffee and magazines. I was so comfortable I even added an oil change.The staff was professional and fast, got me out of their before 4pm. I will be visiting D&S on a regular to get my cars oil change. Thank you guys.

First visit in Sept. was for front end work.Steve and the tech assigned to my vehicle actually SHOWED me how the ball joints were worn and talked with me at length about the overall scope of work and why it was necessary.Also,the offer of 20%off the first visit was a generous gesture.Professional and friendly,informed staff,clean shop,and follow-up by text to ask if I was satisfied with the work performed. A recent repair yielded a similar outcome.Very pleased with Steve and crew,they run a quality business.

We’re from out of state, working in San Antonio. Our truck died while driving last week. After a quick Google search I found D & S garage and diesel service. I told them what happened and the location of my vehicle. They put a rush on it and I was back in the truck the next day. These guys are honest and no nonsense when it comes to service. When I return to San Antonio next month, I’ll set an appointment for an oil change.

I took in my Hummer H1 after calling 30 different shops who told me they could not work on it. At first I was skeptical but after seeing the professionalism, courtesy and positive attitude from all of the staff I could not be any more pleased. They were able to diagnose and perform all of my issues including routine maintenance which NO other shop could do. They will be my go-to shop for my hummer and any of my Diesel needs.

Great service. I brought my 2012 F-250 Powerstoke to D&S after my check engine light came on. I had just finished changing the oil and fuel filters myself and my check engine light came on and generated a couple trouble codes. Brought the truck into D&S, and they were able to get it in same day. They ran the diagnostic and fixed the problem in about three hours. Price was fair and their customer service was great! I Definitely recommend them if you need diesel work done.

One of my trucks broke down in route to California so I found their phone number via google and I gave them a call. Very polite from the first conversation to the last when I paid the bill. They jumped on it as soon as they received it then called with an accurate estimate and had us back on the road in about 5 hrs. Eli was great. I deal with lots of breakdowns having a good sized fleet of trucks and these guys are by far top notch.

Friendly, knowledgeable team. I brought my 14 Ram 2500 here for an electrical issue and during our conversation they understood that I was about to tow 2k + miles to Moab. Not only did they fix the electrical issue, they ran a full diagnostic, and installed a transmission cooler for my trip. I picked up my truck on a Friday and that following week made several long distance trips and my truck ran better than it had before with no sign of the previous electrical problems. To top it off, a week after the work was completed the owner contacted me to just make sure I was satisfied. D&S Garage has now earned all my business.

They have saved me several times. Id give 5 stars but I had a fuel-system issue that I feel was misdiagnosed the first time, but seems to be more correctly fixed the second time. It was an after-market situation, and they were willing to take the problem on, which is recommendable. I wish I could give 4.5 stars. Seriously though, I feel good taking it in, and good driving away, the get the work done as quickly as possible (sometimes sooner tham estimated) and I dont feel took ever, so a good shop in my book.
