Yeah friendly help. Though a big negative THEIR REDUCED DAYS / HOURS. THEY ARE CLOSED at least WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. Maybe more . But they sell to general public while many others dont, only to licensed techs. They give friendly advice. Capacitors for instance are very easy to install and they sell them to anyone.

The gentlemen who helped walk me through the whole process of installing a fan was a savior. Thank you sir for the education in AC install and repair as well as finding the right parts I needed for the job.

Friendly staff, quick checkout.This store is different from most HVAC supply houses in that they will sell to the general public. They may not be the only one in San Antonio but it is the first I found after calling at least six places. These will only sell only to contractors, even for items that most DIYers can easily and safely replace themselves. If it werent for A-1, I would have to order from Amazon or another online store.

Ive been to this place twice. Once for a washing machine part and the other for a dishwasher part. They had the washing machine part in stock and I was on my merry way. The dishwasher part had to be ordered and they got it the same day!! Again, on my merry way. If you have an issue with an appliance and know what part you need (if not, YouTube it), these folks should be your go-to. Shop local, folks.

Truly reliable! I have purchased parts from A1 on a couple of occasions and every time the service has been second to none. Anyone can sell you parts, whats special about this place is the knowledge and expertise they offer. Most recently I dealt with Danny and he explained everything I needed to know to repair my condenser unit all on my own. Saved me a fortune! Definitely recommend this place.

No one else seems to sell to the public only contractors. Went in looking for a new motor and they were very helpful even told me how to connect it all. The pin and fan were so rusted shut I had to damage the fan to take it off the motor. I called them to get another blade but could not wait another day to receive it so I drove around and called a few working guys knowing they would have old parts in the back of the truck. Met one down the road and 20 bucks later was in business.I highly recommend this place.

I went in after an AC company quoted me almost $1,200 for a fan motor and fan replacement. Went in and Danny had the motor in stock and was able to get the fan within two hours. Spending $300 and doing the work myself for a beginner with the advice and knowledge they helped me with at the store. Definitely will be going to them when I need AC items again.

After diagnosing the issue on my broken dryer I started my search for a new timer which I thought would be hard to find. Not for the kind folks at A-1 Reliable Parts! I stopped in to order the part on Saturday and have the new part in my hand on Monday. The owner was kind and courteous when I visited the store and was able to help me find exactly what I needed. If you’re looking for appliance parts I highly recommend the people at A-1!!!

The parts department are real professionals they will give you instructions on how what you are buying will fit your Appliance,AC..etc.

My dryer stopped heating and laundry started piling up fast. After plenty of Youtube, I spoke with Daniel here. He was incredibly helpful. He went out of his way to check their parts inventory. He remembered me when I came in the door and was ready to help. He even offered to test my heating element. Within three hours of calling them, my dryer was fixed. For $30. I’m so grateful this place was here. Although I hope my appliances don’t break anytime soon, I will certainly be back if needed.

These guys have saved my bacon twice. The first time was a start capacitor for my compressor unit, the 2nd was a blower motor replacement. Both times all it took was a call and they took their time to make sure I had exactly what I needed. It was an emergency both times as well (e.e. in San Antonio that means any time between May and October). Awesome prices and the staff goes over how to do the installs with you before you leave. I dont ever plan on going anywhere else. If you are capable of doing the repairs yourself, you cant go wrong with these guys!

I had never shopped here. Our microwaves thermal fuse went out 2 days before thanksgiving. Found them online. Ordered part over phone, they charged me 30 dollars. I had to pick up part day before the holiday. Never once did they tell me that you can’t return part of it is bad. I get home and my spouse gets ready to put in and part is bad. Called day after holiday and they won’t take it back. I called GE and bought part for 7 dollars with 30 day warranty. Will never use this place again. They need to learn to let customers know over phone or even when they come in. They don’t even deserve 1 Star.Cari

At the parts I needed good information

I needed an ac part. Online they can be bought for as little as $5. Walked in asked for the part, they did have it...$42...seriously???I had bought a similar part at Johnston supply before. So I drove there and bought 3 for less then that ($36 to be exact!)I understand mark up. They have to buy the parts and sit on it until someone comes in to buy it. I will also give them the fact that their part might be better quality. Johnston had a heavy Duty version for $22. Thats still $20 cheaper. I opted for the $11 part and bought a back up for each unit.I know having a brick and mortar building has more expense, but charging that much is just a rip-off. Sorry but true.

Danny was super nice when we walked in to make a purchase ... perfect setup for the shotty parts he sold me I told him the belt for the dryer he sold me was either old or defective cause it basically flaked and shredded apart he tells me then it was the pulley well surprise dude i bought the pulley from him also .... sooo beware the nice smile and friendly sales guy is definitely not about standing behind his so called good customer service... do your research i told my uncle and he also had a bad experience here as well with a fan that was sold to him defective .... please people beware !!

I was looking for a part that no one in town seemed to carry and was referred to A-1. I called A-1 Reliable and spoke to Danny. Danny was very helpful and as I was to discover very knowledgeable as well. Now this isnt one of those stories that ends with an exclaimation of This was the only place in town that had the part I needed! Thanks A-1! but Danny did help me understand that they did stock a part that was analogous in spec and provided me the part number so I could check for myself. After researching the original part specifications and the substitute I headed out to A-1 Reliable. Once I arrived the gnetleman at the counter retreived the part and took the time to explain to me how it would integrate in the existing furnace, which sections were superfluous and why. I left with a much clearer understanding of the parts function, how it connects to the system and more to the point how it would connect to the malfunctioning system.You may not find the manufacturers part number (at least for an old mobile home furnace) or even their official replacement but you will find a very knowledgeable and customer service oriented staff. Who knows, you may even find a part that will do what you need and leave with a better understanding of your system as well. Thanks A-1 Reliable!

If I could rate lower than one star I would. Needed a part for a stove. I went in with the freaking owners manual. They couldnt figure out what a piece of glass was. Finally they found what should have been the right part. But it wasnt. Not Im stuck with 70 dollars worth of glass and no help to get a new one. Maybe someone knows what theyre doing there, but dont deal with the guy who says hes the owner. One word MORON.

He Wouldnt Even Look At The heating element i was bringing in NOT asking what at fit. Horrible service !! Id never come back nor recommend this place... After searching around the NE side for three hours I finally went to the best rated one on here, and problem solved. Showed the guy the part, thermal fuse for a dryer, and told him the brand and I was on my way. More expensive than online, but once you tack on shipping Im sure it would be about the same.
