Pleasant atmosphere and great selection of books. Only knock is the mark ups and that there will be lower prices listed on their site that theyll match only if you ask them. Its kind of bizarre if you ask me. They wont match other retailersprices either which is a bummer. You can pick up and read any book in store so thats nice.

I love how this Barnes and Noble has 2 stories. My girlfriend and I visited this Barnes and Noble because she loves Barnes and Noble. I honestly thought it was just a book store, but it is so much more! I love Barnes and Noble now and Ive visited 3 others in the valley since then. :)

Excellent store. Service is top notch. There are discounts and deals every so often. The location is perfect and parking is ample. The store is generally organized. They are doing a complete overhaul of part of the bottom floor. I am sure it will be appealing. The options are plentiful. There is a Starbucks. I highly recommend.

Located in SugarHouse wonderful place to read, do some work or just relax while sipping coffee ☕️ or tea🍵. There are shops around and you can just watch the people coming and going from the big windows towards the busy street.

This place hath brought nothing but disappointment. The actual bookstore has some merit, as it provides a good place to buy board games, however the coffee shop has left me feeling empty. The void that I experience every time I take a sip of this cinnamon latte is only comparable to the feeling of being betrayed by thou most beloved. I would imagine thou art found this drink on the 9th level of hell, being concocted by Satin himself and being taste tested by Hitler. The absolute hopelessness that flooded my body when I took my first sip was pure anguish incarnate, deprived of all flavor feelings and joy. Does anyone come to this establishment should they avoid this drink at all costs, lest they fall into the horrid feeling comparable to those felt by Frankensteins Im creature after it realizes its own cursed nature.

I love my Barnes and noble. I went in for a CD and ended up with lots more. I feel like Im helping keep Bu0026N in business in my own way.

Its nice, I havent been here in a while a real bookstore like this. I had a cup of coffee and read a bit. I would have given 5 stars but they didnt have any easyhairs, just the upright chairs at the tables around Starbucks.

I come here for the bargain books mostly, I do like getting childrens books from here too. On a regular day its nice to shop here and ordering online to have it for pick up is great! Large store, but selection is limited. No vehicle mechanic books. Surrounding streets is what I call a pothole moat.

Excellent selection. Helpful, friendly staff. Could use a SERIOUS cleaning. The restrooms are awful and theyre big clumps of dust on every light I could see. With all of the extendable handle dusters available for sale, there definitely isnt any reason for lack of cleaning. Would love to give 5 stars as I love Barnes and Noble.

Frustrated. Store hours posted say it closes at 9. Needed a last minute gift; knew exactly what I wanted and where it was; would have taken 5 minutes; walked up to the door at 8:41 and it was already locked; could see employees inside. Grr.

Clean and large selection. The employee I talked to wasn’t super friendly or nice. But other than that great. They had the planner I needed which was nice. The language section is a bit small, the manga section very large. A nice Barnes and Noble. The planner I bought was the same price as Amazon so that made me happy

Went to pick up an order for curbside pickup. The email sent to me said that not all stores offer this and to call to confirm. Once I arrived at the store, I called and Trudy answered saying they do and I replied saying great Im here at the store now, I have an order ready. She then told me to call when Ive placed my order and then hung up on me. I called back about 5 minutes later and Trudy answered again. I said I was there for a pickup order. She asked if I placed an order yet and I said I had and I received an email saying it was ready. She asked my name and got the order and told me it would be in a basket outside their door. When she came outside the store she put the basket down and I had to get out of my car and walk and get it even though I was parked right next to it. Ive had a lot of curbside pickup orders during the pandemic, but this has been the strangest and not so friendly one yet.

If you love books, comics, manga, magazines, and so much more this is the place for you! Great selection of items to choose from and always great deals around picked up a ASL book on my last visit for $6 and the vibe is always pleasant

I went for manga that I couldnt get at locally-owned book shops. The manga section is organized a little strangely but there is a ton of variety and lots of volumes of most titles.

Nice! The inside is clean, its in a convenient location, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The starbucks inside is great and has a lot more options than drive-through starbucks, which are most of them in Utah. The book selection is great and the novelties are always fun. I reccomend this Bu0026N above all others in Salt Lake.

Cashiers always seem put out and not very nice when I want to buy something. Study guides are too expensive. But they do have some new releases that are good.

Worked at Barnes and Noble for over 6 years. The selection here is really good and café staff are excellent. Booksellers are a different story. I always go out of my way to try and find books myself but every time Ive had to ask questions or need to have something checked, the staff is passive aggressive to the point of just being needlessly rude. Ive been at the Murray Barnes and Noble and--unprompted--customers will comment about it to employees there.

I enjoy barnes and noble not knocking service or product just wanted to remark in an establishment that serves coffee it would be super helpful to keep your restrooms open.Had to cut our run short was ready to buy a couple hundred worth of books but had my normal coffee and espresso, and in this particular area all the dine in establishments need to buy something to get a code so its not worth trying 5 stores.For bookstore or large retail its okay to keep your restrooms open. Jeez especially when serving coffee on site reasonable expectation is access to a toilet.

Cute and quiet place. Lots of modern and some older books are sold here. They also have a Starbucks inside of you want to grab a quick drink and bite before settling down with a book.

All the café tables are gross with crumbs and smudges and stains. Theyre sanitation bottles are all empty, there are no napkins to be found anywhere. Crummy place to come and enjoy a book unless you come with your own wipes, and for that, you might as well stay home and avoid getting sick.

Nice size, great selection of books! This is my go to place in SLC4 stars because we were sold the membership but werent informed it was $25 and didnt realize we paid for it until we got home and checked the receipt.

Best Barnes and Noble you can visit. I always choose this location over others because their books are in better condition, they have a better selection, and they are better staffed. It’s easy to get help and the atmosphere is great.

Unbelievable about the employees that work here. Racial discrimination from these young ladies that work here. Please avoid this place at all cost. I really like Barnes and Noble and they help me out in a pinch when I need a book for an English class. I was a little irritated because when I went tonight, I checked the hours on Google before and they said they closed at 8:00 PM When I went, they were closed and the hours were posted as closing at 6:00 PM. I also saw like 3-5 other people do the same thing and showed up after the store closed. Please update your Google hours so people do not get confused about your hours.For other people reading this review, Barnes and Noble closes at 6:00 PM ON SUNDAYS (at least during the COVID-19 pandemic).

I’ve been a loyal Barnes and Noble customer for years. My two kids and I wanted to visit the store and cafe, so I called ahead to find out the details due to the pandemic. When we got there everything was great the tables were far apart we had our masks, and there really wasn’t many people in the store or cafe area for that matter. One of the employees informed me and I needed to move one of our chairs because they only want two people sitting at a table at a time. I let her know I was there with my two children, she was insistent I move the chair if came across poorly to say the least. I understand we all need to be careful, yet, if I can’t sit at a table with my own children I won’t be back. I also won’t forget anytime soon how I was treated by your staff.

This location is honestly my favorite Barnes u0026 Noble. It has the feeling of a library rather than a bookstore (I would attribute it to the two floors), and its small enough to where its still intimate - at least not overcrowded.

I was looking for A Spell for Chameleon which is a fairly old book and didnt see it on the shelf. When I asked about it, I was told they had one copy left. Armed with this information, I returned to the shelf for another look, and Behold, there it was.

Definitely the best Barnes and Noble I have ever been to! They have the biggest collection, there are so many options and everything is easy to find. I can spend hours here and I usually do. The staff is very knowledgeable and so willing to help! My only complaint is when I have to check out- the line is always super long and theres only one cashier. Good thing you have a book to read while you wait!

This is a great Barnes u0026 Noble. The location is great. Walkable if you live in the area and lots of parking if you have to drive. They have a large selection of books and enough seating that you can sit and get a feel for a book. The kids area is great. There is the train for the kids to play with or the stage for the kids to go read on.

Love this location. The double escalators make it such a fun layout. It is a bit of a hunt to find the section you want, so its perfect for browsing, and plenty of staff can help if youre in a hurry.

Called to find out if they had the item I was interested then asked where it was and the gentleman let me know how to find it. Was very courteous. I was in and out in record time. Usually I find other things but wasnt looking for anything else

We attempted to shop at Barnes and Noble last Friday at 7:45 PM. From the moment we entered the store we were blasted over the loud speaker that they would close in 15 minutes and we should make our final selection and head to the checkout. This continued every 3-5 minutes with the overhead messaging becoming more and more insistent that you leave and they will be locking the doors. We made a quick decision to buy and headed for checkout. There was one person working checkout so now all of the herded sheep had to wait in line as a single checkout created a backlog and a line. The other employees covered the door and yelled at anyone who tried to come in. There was not a minute of customer service and you truly must not want people shopping in your store. We abandoned our item got out of line and went and bought local.

Great store. Had fun looking through everything. Lots of great gifts.

Just the smell when I walk through the front door makes me so happy, book pages and coffee. The perfect place for a browse of literally all the books (they have pretty much every book you are looking for, and ones you didn’t know you needed too 😉). And the cafe is a great spot to grab a coffee and yummy treat. I love to bring my 3 yr old son to story time every Saturday morning too. Very helpful and friendly staff every time.

Bought a couple of great books for my nephew here. The bathrooms were clean. The employees I talked to were especially helpful, making sure I found what I needed with ease. Also a great place to walk through when you need to kill 20 minutes.

Its a very comfy book store

The front cashier people were super sweet and helpful! My friend and I went into study at the Cafe and the baristas were not very nice. They told us to leave after 30 minutes due to COVid restriction (completely understandable) but her tone was rude and dismissive. Also the coffee was not good at all. We ordered Pumpkin cold brews and there was no cold foam.... anyway. Avoid the coffee if you go in.

I love Barnes and Noble. This one is absolutely one of my favorite stores and I just visited for the first time! The corner building makes it feel massive in downtown sugarhouse and the inside is nothing but glorious. Filled to the brim with all genres of books you can imagine, I spent about an hour just in one section!Excited to come back, check out their vast selection and spend some time inside reading.

Great staff that is helpful in assisting choosing books. So far everyone Ive had at their cafe also has made great coffees and are pretty fast at it. Id say with how many events they host and great service this Barnes and Noble is above the others in the area.

I went to Barnes u0026 Noble to buy some books for my friend that is taking a classes is I.T and so I had no idea where to start looking. I went to every area of the store looking and I started to get followed by employees (not to offer any help to me) just to make sure I was not stealing from the store. I finally had an employee ask me if I was looking for a book by author or by Title. So that employees was a huge help and the others stopped following me around. They have all kinds of figurines from Star Wars to Harry Potter for sale as well with plenty of places to sit down and read any book you have an interest in. Very awesome store to visit and to spend hours there.

Barnes and Nobles has been an institution in my life for decades now, always a good place to go if you just want some quiet time to browse some books and depressurize yourself from the hectic world. Its only missing a star because the staff makes some weird decisions sometimes, little human mistakes but still not terribly professional. Also, they dont have access to restrooms because of COVID, which I get but it seems kind of odd. Youre in a store full of touchable items with dozens of strangers, surely a place to wash your hands would help.

Definitely the best Barnes u0026 Noble in Utah and Salt Lake Counties. They have a decent selection of vinyls as well which is a plus. Love going to this store.

Fair but it is simply overpriced. From the coffee, to the sweets, to the books..., Everything is just overpriced. The atmosphere is comfortable, however if they want to stay in business, theyre going to have to start competing in a real way, with Amazon. I did buy a book as a gift and I needed it right away, it was $18. The exact same book I bought for $12 on Amazon the very next day..., granted I did have to wait one whole day for it to be delivered to my door.

In the store not 5 minutes before I was told I cant sit and flip through books, that its for a more expedited experience (Mask was on and following 6ft social distancing as much as possible). If I cant flip through books for 15 minutes theres no compelling reason for me to go into a brick and mortar store. I havent seen any CDC guidelines that sitting is a problem. Glad to see barnes and nobles employees applying their well informed opinions. Maybe we should get them in contact with Fauci - would probably end covid within the week.

This location is huge (the only one Ive been to with two floors)! Its also very pretty. I had a lot of fun exploring the aisles and looking at books the old fashioned way. The employees were also nice.Unfortunately Barnes u0026 Noble is overpriced when you compare most in store prices to ones on Amazon. Theyre pushing this subscription service to save a lot more money when shopping with them but overall I still think youd lose money. Barnes u0026 Noble is one of my favorite hang out places. Their closed restrooms means you do not show up needing to go. Because you have to scoot over to Noodles. And Noodles has clean restrooms and delish food.

This Barnes u0026 Noble has great staff and great selections. They always go above and beyond to help customers find what they need. In addition their Cafe has been hosting our local accessible Reading club for the past several months when are library became flooded. :-)

I enjoy the atmosphere at this location even though it is a chain bookstore. The location and design simply adds a certain charm. The selection is voluminous. Two floors of books and other offerings. Prices are fine. Employees are friendly and ready to help. The organization is easy enough to get a handle of. There is ample parking in the lot. 21st South in this area is not always easy to exit onto and so egress should be a consideration as you leave.

Favorite favorite favorite bookstore of all times you can find anything you need Barnes u0026 Noble. They have all the best selling books all the magazines calendars toys games pretty much anything you desire. They have an awesome kids section were you can go and sit with your children and read the books that they have their for cell. I know they do have a story time I believe that I really want take my daughter to sometime I just need to find out when a low L Christmas time easy gift giving either I bought a book or I got a gift card the both people who bought the gifts for absolutely love them the gift card was for a teenager and Im never seen a child so happy in my life

We went Christmas shopping the weekend before christmas. Even though the store was very busy we were able to get in touch with someone at the customer service desk that was able to walk us to what we were looking for. Most of the registers were filled with employees working making the lines go by quickly. They had everything marked very well for the sales. I also loved the charity they had going wrapping gifts for free and any donations went to the charity for community outreach. I have always enjoyed going to this location but the service was amazing and surprised me with how kind and patient everyone was even with the business of the store.

Easy to get help finding a book.

This Barnes u0026 Noble was nice. This was my first time at this one. It was a good overall experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only mark against it, would be that the sections could be marked a little better, maybe up above it like some other Bu0026Bs have. It is big, with a great variety of subjects and selections. It has a cafe in it, although I didnt visit it.

I used to love Barnes but recently Everytime I go I feel like I cant even enjoy my getaway shopping experience because the manager there or who ever he is seems to think its awesome and fun to bother and treat customers as if they are theirs and out to get the company. Ummm sorry I didnt know that I need to dress or look a certain way for ur employees to leave me be and quit treating me as if I am a theif

I love this place! Although one comment could be that there should be a better classification of books. One classification named as fiction contains almost all authors and I think classification can be improved considering classic authors, Hispanic authors, English authors, etc. For example... in the fiction classification you can find Stephen King and Harper Lee... ok, both wrote fiction stories, but those are completely different types of literature.

Who doesnt love a good book store? Bu0026N knows how to do it right! They keep up with the changes our digital world has brought to physical books, and for that Im amazed at their survival. Always friendly and helpful staff.

Store is in a good location and has a great selection. Two floors to choose from and the childrens section is on the second floor tucked away from the other patrons. Staffed well and the checkout lines dont tend to get backed up. I will say that the restrooms a big but not very tidy very run down and most often very, very dirty.

I love this bookstore as its the center of the best part of Sugarhouse, but Ive never not had the restrooms smell terrible and be dirty. If they cleaned up their restrooms it would definitely help my experience. Also, I would really love to have employees at the help desks more, because if one goes off it could take awhile for them to come back.

Ive been to many bookstores of this chain, and it always does well with clearly labeled sections and a variety of content to explore. This is one of my favorite locations of this chain because its so pretty on the outside and inside with 2 stories and a great Starbucks :)

We went in looking for a single book. Kelly was so kind, knowledgeable and helpful!! We walked out with 4 more books. Could have spent hours talking with Kelly and her vast knowledge of the authors and novels.

They are so rude here. No one would help me and they all looked too busy to stop and see if I needed help. Also, they were all drinking coffee and there was literally a line with 12 people in it waiting to check out. They were weird about staying 6 feet apart and would not get close to you, to get a book. It was just uncomfortable. Why are they so weird about the 6 feet apart, while all drinking coffee at the same table and having a crazy long line? It does not make sense. I think theyre just playing on COVID and dont want to help.

Great many books to choose from especially in the history section. Although not as vast compared to stores in the UK, I believe there is something for everyone! Atmosphere is good too where you can browse books to be certain before a purchase.

This is a beautiful bookstore in an awesome area. The best Barnes and Nobles in the slc region. They dont have everything but they have a lot. Some seating scattered around the store. Nice coffee shop downstairs.

I have always enjoyed this bookstore, its s a bookstore so if course it gets a high rating. Exceptionally clean store, helpful employees and lots of books. Can only get coffee from Starbucks, delicious but expensive. It would be nice to be able to have a cup of coffee for a dollar.

I will never shop here again. I was walking around looking at books for awhile, then I sat down because I had a conference call. I choose the 1 seater in the corner way away from everyone so I took off my mask so I could do the zoom call with a client.About 15 minutes in, the manger comes over furious that my mask was off. So in the middle of my meeting I put it back on no big deal. Then 10 minutes later this hipster Employee comes into the frame of my call and says I have been here for 30 minutes and I need to pack up my stuff and leave.My jaw dropped (inside of my mask) and I ended the meeting. Then I put all my books back and left never to return. Do not support this place. It is not the same anymore.

Love books. Great selection. But, their books are a bit pricey so be wary of you like to buy books for the cheapest cost. Though their books usually are of better quality somehow even though I can get the same exact one elsewhere, the prices are a bit high. Overall though going to Barnes u0026 Noble here is a really fun trip. Even if I dont buy anything.

With this being a 2 floored book store, I was expecting a bigger selection in all of the different Genres. Several Genres in this location but a very limited selection.Typically in a single level store, I have tons and tons of options to pick from and leave with a few books. Here, there was one book shelf selection per Genre and I walked out with one book compared to several. This was a major disappointment to me.
