Poor customer service. Front employees do not answer your questions and act like you are a bother. When we asked questions about our repairs and if they were able to fix the issues we were having with our tractor (that is still being financed) they just brushed us off. We left with a tractor that still isnt fixed. The only response he could give us is its not under warranty. When we purchased the tractor they made the sale emphasizing the warranty. Do not recommend....find a dealer with better product support and customer service.

I recently bought a tractor package from Salisbury Power Equipment and couldn’t have had a better experience. Haley is a very attentive and organized Internet Sales Manager who quickly answered all my questions and got me the price I needed to close the deal. They beat the price of other Mahindra dealers by more than $1000. Chris the owner personally helped me get my trailer strapped and secured and was very knowledgeable about all the items he was selling.
Great people, service department stinks. Bought a tractor but every time I called last year to talk about getting it service they tell me 2 1/2 to 3 weeks before they will look at it. And by the way it has to sit outback for this time in the weather before they will even start. I ask if I could drop it off a week before ready and was told no. So I cant even get my warranty issues addressed without losing my tractor for 3 weeks plus repair time.
First let me start off my saying Mrs. Haley knows what she is doing. She answered all my questions that I needed to know. She is a great salesperson and knows what she is doing. I will be going back her soon to get what I was looking for. I will be sending everyone to this place and to Mrs Haley.
I went to Salisbury power last June 2020 an purchased a new husqvarna Z46 zero turn mower paid $2700 . First time i mowed with it it was making a noise coming from blade area, I call them up an told them there was a noise an they told me it was because it was new an had to break in. Second time I used it noise seemed to be louder. So this year 2021 i got it out to mow an the noise was loud as the first day i used it, started to mow my small yard which might take 20 mins to mow an the blade belt came off.I called them they said to me that a rock or something might have got in a pulley an thats why the belt came off, put it back on started blades up an mowed for 1 min an belt came off again.I called them up an they told me that was not under warranty only engine an transmission was an if they repaired it they were going to charge me to fix it, this is after only less then 2 hrs of use. I called synchrony bank the issuer of the Husqvarna credit card i used to purchase the mower an told them the story an run around i got from Salisbury power on this new mower, they told me that it was a defective item when sold an they Salisbury power could do one of two things give me my money back an take the mower or give me a brand new mower an it would take up to 60 days to resolve. I called several times an talked to mgr Andrew there about this problem an he told me basically to take it somewhere else.So i took it to Lentz power equipment in gold hill an they looked at it an said the left blade spindle was bad an there is now way it should be bad after that little use. today they called me from Lentzs an told me the problem was that the lower bearing in the left side blade shaft was never installed at factory, told this to Salisbury power equipment an they said basically oh well an i asked Andrew mgr there if they run these mowers an check them before selling to someone an his reply its brand new from the factory.Being a disabled veteran an all i needed to have it fixed to mow my small yard an i would not ever deal with Salisbury power equipment again in Salisbury NC. I took it to Lentz power equipment while waiting for synchrony bank to get my money back or a brand new mower. They checked out the problem why the mower belt was coming off from day one an found when it was assembled at factory they did not but a lower bearing in the spindle shaft housing at all hence the noise from day one an the vibrating pulley was throwing the belt off. Was told if they had run the blades at Salisbury power equipment they would have heard the noise an took the spindle housing apart an found there was a problem. They just wanted to sell me a mower that was not checked out an was defective . Then try to charge me to work on it due to the problem that was there the day they sold it to me. I would not recommend this company to anyone as there business practices are very poor to say the least.you can see a bearing was never put in the housing an the shaft has nothing on it from where a bearing should have been. The mgr there said to me we dont build them but what he forgets if it was checked out this problem would have been found before they sold it to me.
Love this place will be going back and I will send everyone to this place. Haley was very helpful and answered all my questions that I asked and need to know. She was wonderful and I will be send everyone to her.

I wish I could give a zero. Bought a lawn tractor that was highly recommend for the size and type of yard we have. So, have had it 3 yrs. The 1st year it wasnt working right took it back and there was an issue with the carburetor. Got it back told it was fixed. The very next day the problem was still there. Again took it back to have it fixed. Rinse and repeat a 3rd time. Finding out that they ended up making the problem worse and FINALLY it was fixed. Took them almost a month to get it right. The next year it worked fine. (I do my own service Much cheaper and very easy to do). Now to today. And yes I know that Covid-19 impacted some of the timing, But I took it in before all the shut downs and was told it would take 2 weeks just to look at it. Ok whatever. Mind you the night before I took it in I changed the oil, spark plugs and air filter like I do before every mowing season. They finally got back to me with the problem and call with the estimate. The lady who called me told me what the main issue was then proceeded to tell me the air filter was dirty. I was livid. I changed it the night before and I didnt even run it. Told her they were lying to me and wanted to charge me an additional $150.00 for service. I told her no. Just fix the main issue. 2 more weeks past I finally got the mower back. They said it was fixed and when the guy started it, it was making the same noise. I was told it was because it was cold. Could kinda understand that. Then the Mechanic said that my fuel filter was black and needed to be changed. I asked him why I wasnt told this when the estimate came in and he said The lady told me. UM NO she didnt. She said AIR FILTER that I knew didnt need changed. He basically told me I was lying, that he was listening on the call. Well he must be deaf then cause my husband was also on the phone and very upset cause the lady kept saying the AIR FILTER not the FUEL FILTER. UGH. I looked at the fuel filter and it is as clear as water. And the mechanic (Andrew) told me it was black....... There is no black color anywhere. They never had their facts right. It took a month to get it back. They were extremely rude and argumentative and to call me a liar put me over the edge. I will NEVER go back there, EVER. I have NEVER been treated so badly in my life.

Apparently the parts lady thinks the office lady is really stupid and basically told me to leave unless she could look up the part when she already had the correct part number because we had went through it on the phone before I went up there. I even asked her why she was getting so upset. She even knew I had called ahead. I don’t get it, she told me have a good day, like she was the queen of that store. I cant believe she was willing to grow a sale away for... well... I don’t really know why. Not much (just a belt), but dang just because she thinks the office lady... in her words... “doesn’t know what’s shes doing”. Maybe if the phone hadn’t rang for so long I wouldn’t have spoken to her in the first place. But unlike parts lady, she listened, and we figured the problem out. I’d take the office lady a thousand times over versus that arrogant young girl in parts. This was my first time there... come to find out I wasn’t missing out. Also, all sales final is a cop out to get out of responsibility towards what you sell your customers. Every other place exchanges unused parts. This place seems uppity to me. But what do I know. It was later in the afternoon and I needed to back to fixing the mower, but I do plan to go up there tomorrow and speak to someone about it.

Did my homework didnt know if i wanted the 1626 or the Max26xlt called ask a buttload of questions over a 3 day time frame talked to Andrew he told me everything i needed and ask for went there spent probably a hr walking back amd forth went inside had them put together a package for me took about 5 trys cause i keep adding to it than about 10mins to do the financial part and i was done love the place
Bought a mower there and this will be the 3rd season with it. I have chewed up 2 blade drive belts each season so far and the 2nd mow this year it did it again. When I bought the belt yesterday ($51) I asked about it getting chewed up so often. I was showed on a new mower where the idler arm should be to prevent this. I was told when delivered it’s in the wrong location and that is the first thing they do is to relocate it. I checked mine and it was in the delivered position not where I was shown it needed to be. I went back and showed the guy who I spoke with that it was in the wrong position and would like to be compensated for the belt since they delivered it to me this way. He stated absolutely not. Belts are not warranties. I stated the arm (which he had stated would cause the problem if I’m wrong position) was delivered to me in the wrong position. He just shook his head and then stated they come loose. Which is it, wrong position or comes loose? Either way he was in no way willing to talk about it to come to any resolution.Last fall I needed a gas cap for a backpack blower. I went in with the model number and given a cap for $29. I stated it looked the wrong size and I was told this was it. Asked about a $29 cost and he said that’s it. Took it home and of course it was wrong one. Went back and they said nope that’s it. I insisted it wasn’t and someone else overheard and shook his head at the $29 cost and said that’s not right. He found the correct cap and it only cost $6.Long story short from my perspective is they just want the cash and don’t really want to listen to you or solve a problem.
Not please with how long it takes to get service performed. 4 days to get an estimate and then 7 days to get parts and I dont even know how long after they get the parts before they will perform the repairs.UPDATE: Not long after posting this review, the parts arrived and the service department had my lawn tractor repaired and ready to go within a couple of hours (replaced the head) and I was able to get my jungle of a yard mowed. My lawn tractor purrs like a kitten and munches grass like the king of the jungle now. My recommendation for 5 star service is to find out where the parts are and let the customer know, dont just say it might take 7 business days for the parts to get in. Will I continue to do business with Salisbury Power Equipment? Yes, because Andrew, the service manager, wanted to understand why I was displeased and how he can improve the service in the future.

The policy of this company as stated by both an employee and the manager is that they will purposely not help with problems, even with a piece of equipment bought from them, because then they couldnt charge a service fee (which is $40/hr). In our case they acted like they were trying to help but purposely withheld the solution, a $5 part that is easily replaced. When it was pointed out that they could have told us the solution, sell us the part and spare us a lot of time and trouble bringing in the tractor we were told face to face but if we told you how to repair it we couldnt charge you a service fee. Steve the manager after dodging our calls admitted this was the company policy when my husband went in to the store. Obviously a company with this idea of getting all possible dollars from a customer is to be avoided and we will not only never return but tell everyone to stay away and not get burned.

Took my lawn mower tire there and they replaced a tubeless tire with a tube I took it because it was leaking from the valve stem long story short went to mow my yard a month later for the first time because I was out of state for a month and the tire was flat. Took it back to them to fix and was promised to get it back that day. Now here it is 2 days later still not ready and was informed that they were going to charge me another$32 to put another tube because it had a hole in it. I asked for my money back and my tire Andrew refused. I should not recommend this place to anyone not because of the store but because of the service and mechanic very rude...Im a disable women on a very fixed income and I just feel like they really did me wrong I am needing to know the owners name and number for I am not done with ths matter Better Businss Beau.

Don’t do business at this place!! I bought a brand new coil at this place to repair my weed eater. Installed the new coil and the weed eater still didn’t run so I took it to James River Equipment to figure out what was wrong with it. Guess what..... the “New” coil was bad out of the Box! I contacted Salisbury Power Equipment and was rudely told by their Parts department that they would not do anything to make this right.....no refund.....no nothing! So $130.52 later ( in addition to the cost of the junk new coil) I now have a functional weed eater! Their parts are JUNK and they don’t stand behind them! UNETHICAL BUSINESS!
