I was very disappointed in the service. I had my eyes dilated for the first time. I was never told that I would need someone to drive me home. I have also been told by several people that they should have given me glasses to protect my eyes from the sun. I was not given any. The technician Brianna that got me ready for the dr. was very professional and explained everything to me. I was not impressed by the doctor at all
RUDE staff, so unprofessional! This was the worst dr office experience EVER! I got there 5 min. late for the 15 min early check-in for paperwork. No parking available in small lot... drove around 4 times in pouring rain before finally parking in muddy unmarked spot along curb. 2 people standing outside entrance waiting to also check-in. Finally make it into lobby to see more people waiting in line and 2 being checked-in. All lobby seating already taken with patients also waiting so patients newly checked in were going back their cars to wait. Im handicapped, cannot stand for long, but still I waited my turn to check-in. I FINALLY make it t check-in window at 2:02pm for a 2pm appointment and Im told they probably wont see me because Im late”???!!! When I explained issue, she said youre still supposed to be here 15 min early to fill out paperwork. I WAS HERE only 5 min late for paperwork - you’re to busy to check in people on time! The OFFICE either overbooks, or is running so late they cant even handle check-ins!? No, wont bother waiting to see if theyll consider seeing me or not today, and I wont reschedule either. There is a plethora of eye doctor offices that work more efficiently and much more kindly than this place.
Very professional and friendly staff! Highly recommend. Special shootout to Deneen. She was awesome. Very patient with me and calmed my nerves. Only IV that I have ever been given and I didnt even bruise. Thank you all so much for giving me good eyesight again!
This is not a good place. The staff there wasnt very friendly. My problem with my eyes was not corrected. I could see better before I had surgery. I am very upset 😡.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went into the Salisbury office today (3/22/21) to buy a new pair of glasses with my new prescription. I asked them if they still accepted 3rd party payments (through a specific medical waiver program), and things went downhill from there. The older, overweight white lady said she didn’t know anything about the third-party payment option. She turned her back to me and didn’t say another word to me. She did, however, whisper back and forth with the second lady who was trying to decide which frames to pull off the shelf to show me. They didn’t even bother trying to be discrete about it either. Both ladies assumed that because I would be using a 3rd party funding source that they needed only to show me low-quality cheap frames. Their assumptions were wrong. I expected there to be a price difference, and I was prepared to pay it. Had they talked to me about what I wanted and needed instead of talking to each other and deciding for me, I could have cleared that up. I thought I made it clear from the beginning.I explained to the second lady that I needed to pick a pair of frames and get a quote in writing. She asked what type of frames I was looking for, and I showed her. I wasn’t able to get to the displays in my wheelchair because of the clutter around the two desks, so she brought me two pairs of frames to try on.The first frames were way too big for me, but the lady said they were the correct size. The second frames were smaller, and they fit perfectly, just like the pair I am replacing. The lady said those frames were too small. I told her that I had worn the same size frames for years with no issues, and that is the frame size I wanted. At that point, she flat out told me that I’m going to have to get used to larger frames if I want to buy glasses there. She had the audacity to tell me that she could not sell me frames that are too small, by her standards, of course. She said her boss would not allow it. That’s just crazy! Even if a customer comes in and wants to buy a gigantic or tiny pair of glasses, that is their choice to make.Paternalistic health care services were phased out almost 50 years ago. Nowadays, we have this thing called self-determination.
I was very pleased with my experience at Chesapeake Eye. Dr. Yonker provided me with exceptional care as a cataract and glaucoma patient. Also, pleased with the staff and most fortunate to have Chesapeake Eye in the area.
They are never on time, and the front desk is rude.
Dr Murphy and her staff are professional and kind.
I love Dr. Smoot-Hazelnus! Shes amazing. No problems with the staff nor the facility.
The staff at this office are incredibly rude and unprofessional. While waiting to see the doctor, I could hear them talking badly about patients and making fun of them after they left. Ive also found them very difficult to work with and not friendly at all. Ive been there twice and have decided to change providers.
1. the doctor was rude and the wait time was ridiculous (AN HOUR past my appt)2. they gave me a 1 year prescription, obviously so i would be required to return a year later, instead of the standard 2 year RX ive recd at every other eye doctor3. scheduled and paid for a eye exam to get new eye glasses. when I went to order new glasses online realized my RX did not include my pupil distance which I needed. Called the eye center who said I had to PAY to have that done separate if I wasnt ordering eyeglasses through their office. What a SCAM. I paid for a completely useless prescription, because it doesnt have all the info I need to order glasses.
I had Lasik here and it was great!
Takes time with their customer. good sevce
Bad eye exam had to go back
Very bad!
