I had the pleasure of working with Taylor who without question provided the best and most seamless car buying process Ive ever experienced. This review pertains to my experience with the service department. Im relatively new to the area and had to have my Honda vehicle serviced due to a regular maintenance reminder from the car. It was a major maintenance item involving transmission oil change. The assistant service manager who helped me was Alexis. Perhaps due to the lack of sleep the previous night, I stumbled into the service department 10 minutes late to my appointment and fumbled through communicating my somewhat complex request, which was to do regular maintenance and install an accessory to the vehicle. Alexis was extremely understanding and very nice in listening to me and checking me in for my appointment. I was a bit surprised when I received a higher-than-expected estimate for regular maintenance since this maintenance cost less when I lived in a different. I mentioned my concern to her about the cost discrepancy. However, Alexis very kindly walked me through the maintenance items, communicated to me what were the core maintenance items that are required, and explained to me what items on the estimate caused the difference between the amount that I paid to do same maintenance in the previous state and the amount that was quoted at Pohanka. Alexis understood my reservations as a customer and went out of her way to make sure I understood what I was paying. Throughout this whole interaction, which may have been stressful since she had to explain unexpected costs with an anxious customer, Alexis was polite, patient, and professional. It definitely made my day.I also had a positive experience with the bearded gentleman who was working in the parts department (wish I can remember his name) on the same day. To my chagrin, one of the accessories that I was trying to order was not available. He looked up the inventory and realized it was back-ordered, with no timeline provided as to when it would be available to order. As this particular accessory was essential for my travel next week since it was the crossbar for the roofrails, I was concerned as I wouldnt be able to install a cargo box without this part. Although he couldnt really do anything about it - he explained the general supply chain crunch that has been plaguing the industry - he looked up Honda locations that may have the part after doing inventory check via the system and kindly wrote me two locations that may have them. Note that going above and beyond to do this for me would neither benefit him nor Pohanka in any way as it wouldnt lead to parts sales. I wouldve completely understood and walked away with the explanation that due to supply chain issues, he couldnt help me. Nonetheless, he helped me identify these two locations. I called one dealership that he provided soon thereafter and was able to put a hold on the crossbars. I successfully purchased the part a few days after from that dealership and can now prepare for the upcoming trip. It may have been a small gesture for him, but the gentleman at the parts department was tremendously helpful.Overall, Im really happy with the service experience.

Pohanka resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Thank you Pohanka! I am a first time Salisbury Maryland Pohanka Service customer. They were recommended as a good service provider. I took my car there today and was scammed big time. I took my auto for a B123 service. I was told that it would be approximately $300. I authorized the service. When my car was ready, the bill was over $600 dollars. They put on 2 new tires and were charging me for those. I did not authorize the tires. They said they came out and spoke to me BUT THEY DID NOT. Come to find out, there was another customer with the same name. They talked to him and he authorized 2 new tires. Did he have a nail in his tires or did I? Did I get 2 new tires for no reason because his tire was the one with the nail in it? Could not get any GOOD answers. Had to pay for the tires because they had put them on. PLEASE be careful if you go to this dealership for service!

Todd was awesome when I brought my 2018 Civic in for AC troubles. He was extremely helpful in getting my car into the service shop to be fixed and always called me to give me updates. I had previously tried to call a Honda dealership closer to me and never got a response after multiple attempts.. but Pohanka took my car right away and communicated every step of the way. Their customer service is fantastic. Pohanka will forever keep my business! So happy to have cold air blowing for the upcoming hot weather! You guys rock :)

Absolute terrible service. About 2 months ago I was looking at purchasing a 2018 civic EX-T that was on the lot and I even called the night before to let them know I was coming to take a look the next day. The next morning before I left, I saw the listing had been removed and I called to make sure that they still had it. The person on the phone said they hadn’t sold any of their vehicles on the lot that day/ the day before so I should be good to go. I had to drive 3 hours to get there and about 1.5 hours into my trip, I called once more just to make sure…only to find out that the car was in fact sold early that morning. Reminder, they knew I was coming to look at the exact car since I had an appointment booked but yet they didn’t even call to tell me that the car had been sold as I had to find out for myself. Despite the bad experience I had with this dealership, I ended up finding a different civic that was listed at a dealership located in D.C in which I drove completely out of the way in the opposite direction to later that day. I ended up buying the 2019 civic sport with only 2k miles on it which I’m very happy with.

Been a customer of Pohanka in Salisbury for years, I recently returned to Jeff Dale, my salesman, to talk about new car options. Jeff is knowledgeable of the Honda product and a fan of the Accord Sport. He took plenty of time to review the cars many features and answer any questions. I was convinced and after some negotiations I left driving a new car.

Usually a good place to go. Did not have a pleasant experience this time. Had a fresh paint job and ask them not to wash my car and they did anyway. Representative did not listen when I told him I was there for an oil change and tires. He said hed talk to the shop and see if theyll recommend me for tires after I told him what issues I was having. They said a new censor for my tires was recommended along with tires. He gave me a quote and even after I told him which ones I want, he still tried to down sell me. Halfway home my TPMS light comes on. Been a while since Ive worked on vehicles but Im pretty sure your supposed to inspect the vehicle before the customer pays. Bottom line, they should listen to their customers and double check their work for quality. Now I have to figure out how Im going to find time to make it back there. 😒

You find out what kind of people you do business with.Well yesterday ( 03-15-2021) We had a problem with the 2013 Ford Explorer and so we took it to Pohanka. I was met by a very courteous younglady. Told her the problem, and she led me to a Sales/Service Manager. Now I am Old School, I figured 10-15 mins to hook-up a code reader and tell me what the problem was. But No! I was told we can diagnose the problem, but it will costs $134.00 and if we cant fix it, we may have to send it to a Ford Dealer. Now we payed $17K when its all said and done. So I figured since the truck was inside of 90 Days since we bought it from Pohanka of Salisbury. That just to tell me what was wrong with our 2013 Ford Explorer, but their Service Dept. SUCKS! STAY AWAY From Pohanka of Salisbury!!!! Its all about MONEY!!! There is NO CUSTOMER LOAYALTY !!! I wont Buy anything from this dealership again!!

We Bought a used GMC Yukon Denali, in Oct. When we test drove it all the Floor mats were in the vehicle, including the rear cargo mat and cargo shade cover, when we picked it up ALL of them were missing and so were the headphones and remotes for the rear DVD player. The salesman even pointed out the remote/ phones to us during the test drive. Once we noticed items missing the next day contacted the salesman, he tells me Oh you know the guys in the back how they do things. Funny 2 days later the remotes /phones show up, but not other items. Then when we went to purchase the vehicle we noticed a lower price by $1000.00 on a web site called Car Gurus when shown the online price our salesman he said dont know anything about it. Then Management decided in order for us to get the lower price we had to take the vehicle AS IS. So it went from being a Honda Certified Used truck to as is. we had already sold our old truck. And we liked the New one so we did it. But not impressed with the tactics used. Also took 60 days to get tags done. Front desk staff was great. Oil change has taken two hours so far. Service forgot to put on front license plate. Desk clerk had to drive the car back into the garage. It has been in there about 20 minutes. Just attach the front license plate already. Should have just done it myself. I was here early this morning. Second person in line. Why do simple things take so long?

Service advisor was Lori Nelson, was greeted with a smile. Very personable. When I left the dealer I left a coupon on the counter. To my surprise I received a phone call from Lori, informing me I left the coupon. She told me she would mail it to my home. Very thoughtful. Great Job.

The staff in the express service section is awesome! I thought that they were opened to 6 but they are open to 5, so I felt so bad and told them they didn’t have to service my car for the normal service if they could just look at my tire. They said it wasn’t a problem and could definitely be fit in! I was so grateful because I live 30 min away

I find it very hard to figure out where to start with this review. This dealership is AMAZING. Lets start there. Everyone was so incredible to me. This is the worse dealer i have ever dealt with the salesman Joel English was full of misinformation from the start. They added the car to Autotrader at 12500 then proceed to increase the price to 15373. I was working with them for a week i had pre-approval from Capital One and that wasnt good enough i can only assume because it wasnt a finance institute they couldnt make more money off of me. They kept tell me they need a cashiers check because i was an out of town buyer and they were worried about the car. They also tried to sell the car out under me but that deal fell through. And the the wonderful sales crook telling me the whole time there are so many people wanting this car you better act quick. I told him i did and you have everything you need to complete the deal. At the end i walked away from the car because i felt like i was dealing with a shady dealer and salesman. So now they have increased the price up once again more than a thousand dollars. I wouldnt recommend this dealer or salesmen to my worse enemy.

Pohanka Honda is where I have made my past two vehicle purchases. I have worked with Taylor Bounds both times. He is great to work with. He has wonderful customer service skills and is always willing to help the customer get exactly what they want. Highly recommend Taylor!

We were over 400 miles from home when we started experiencing car troubles. We called Pohanka Honda; which was within miles from where we were on the highway (thankfully!), and the individual who answered the phone told us to bring the car right in. Let me just preface this...it was Friday of a Holiday weekend (July 4th) at roughly 9:45 am. Upon arrival Faith greeted us immediately and I told her what was happening with the car. She made it a point to let me know that it could take an hour or so before they could look at the car due to it being such a busy day (which I appreciated). She guided us to the waiting area, where there were free beverages, free wi-fi and plenty of space - let me not fail to mention that it was a comfortable temperature inside being that outside it was already 85 degrees at 9:45am. Faith continued to keep us up-to-breath on what was happening. I was concerned that the problem was going to be something severe; yet ended up being much better than I expected - and the price was reasonable based on the work completed. We ended up being at the dealership for a total of 4 hours yet the time seemed to go by quick. They offered us a loaner vehicle so we could go get lunch, but made us aware that they also offered free shuttle service within a 10 mile radius. Upon our departure I made it a point to let Faith know how great their customer service is; and how truly seamless the experience was considering that we broke down so far from home. We were back on the road and on our way home. Thank you Faith for everything, and thank you Pohanka Honda for recognizing what customer service should be!

Pohanka Honda in Salisbury is incredible! This Saturday was a tough day for my babies and me, to say the least.We were so excited to travel to my husband who is working five hours away! So, when my warning lights started flashing in my Odyssey, I prayed it would not be a roadblock for us!Unfortunately, my amazing van died half way through our trip just .9 miles away from Pohanka Honda! I called the dealership and Tiffany helped me by sending her teammate Caleb, to pick us up at a gas station! Caleb turned into an angel for me and our four babies! He brought us safely to the dealership and made sure the kids had snacks. He EVEN went back to my van and jumped it, then brought it in for service to check it out all minutes before service was closing.The team was amazing!! Thank you Caleb! Just bought a car a couple months from David Carpenter. The process was smooth and worked out before I even came in. They waited at the end of the day on a Saturday for me to sign the papers with the car already cleaned up and ready to go. I couldn’t have asked for a better salesperson! My daughters fiancé was there Christmas Eve. His car was towed in. They had a technician do a “diagnostic” in the parking lot. Told him he needed a new engine. Never took it into the shop. I work at a dealership near Baltimore. We have cars towed in all day. Never, had a tech come out to the parking lot to diagnose the issue. I can only imagine our customers response if we tried that. They charged him $80.00 for this. When I called, the woman was very sharp, said this is how they do things. How do you write up a vehicle that’s never entered the shop? And don’t argue with the customer. You try to make it right. All the bad reviews for this dealership are absolutely true. Sad they took advantage of a kid who didn’t know better.

Super shady!We agreed on an amount for a car, agreed on a shipping cost, I signed a contract, and paid for the car, and the dealership would not deliver the car.After asking many days in a row when my car would be sent they stated I couldnt use a credit card for payment - even though they had charged my card for the full price.

My husband and I went to Honda today with the intention of just looking and getting ideas for what we wanted in a car. As soon as we walked in Caleb Moore greeted us with a smile and wonderful attitude. He showed us multiple models of the Pilot which is what we went to look at and let us test drive the ones we wanted. As I drove with him he asked questions about what I would like in a car and knew the I did not want a mini van..... as the day progressed and he got to know our family he kindly suggested we take a look at the Odyssey but did it with no pressure. He took the time to show us every feature the van had from front to end, test drove it and priced it without complaint. In the end.... we bought a mini van and I couldnt be happier.
