I had made an appointment the night before for a tire repair, but decided to take it in right when they opened. Service Manager Patrick was very welcoming, and was able to get my car seen by the tech immediately. I was in and out, back home, and on my way to work before my appointment was even scheduled to take place. I appreciated the commitment to great customer service. Thank you!
I called at 9am and they fit me in their schedule on a holiday! Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and communicative! They continuously updated me on the status of my vehicle during the process. Very polite staff, helpful in a pinch. My sister got a flat today and they closed in less than two hours but they got it done and got us back in the road in no time. Funny team, will crack jokes and be relatable. Much better than other tire maintenance centers in the area, and prices are fair. Thank you to the team who helped my sister out today.

Labor Day savedI had planned to go to the beach with my family to celebrate Labor Day. We got into our car and wouldn’t you know it my car wouldn’t start. It’s not an old vehicle so I wasn’t sure what the problem was. I called Pepboys and spoke to the service manager named Josh and he was excellent. He figured out I needed a new battery, he got the battery I needed and installed it and made sure my questions were answered and I was on my way in no time. Ive been pretty busy and should’ve wrote this sooner but I wanted to let someone know that josh is an asset to this company. He was friendly well mannered and knowledgeable. Thank you Josh for saving my Labor Day holiday.

Awful customer service. Ordered tires online last wednesday from your website that said tires were in stock at this location. Get confirmation email and notice that my order is ready to pick up in store. Get to store, tires arent there. No one has an answer for me as to why i got email saying to pick them up. Ok fine...was told would be ordered and would arrive next day and to leave my phone number, and to expect phone call next morning.Next day, Thursday, no phone call. Friday i finally call the store back and again...no tires. no one has an answer for me and i leave my phone number AGAIN with a promise to be called back.Well here we are late MONDAY and still no tires. No phone call. Nothing.I could have ordered these same tires from ANYWHERE else and had them delivered by now....but i chose Pep Boys of salisbury and here i still have no tires.
İ called this place to get state inspection for my van and they told me to come next day 3 pm so i went there next day 3 pm and they told me inspector called out for the day,really?So i rescheduled for next day and ask them how long inspection it takes they said an hour, i went there again next day and they told me it’s going to be couple hours i had to call someone to pick me up from there because I didn’t want to wait that long.They called me afternoon and told me my van failed inspection so i went there to pick up my van and they gave me an estimated cost of $950 for what needs to be done on the van .I called different place to get my inspection and my van passed inspection at the 2nd places and next day state investigators call me and told me there is a big different between 2 places so he want me to meet him at the place that where my van passed inspection he go over everything and said that van is in good shape to pass inspection.I believe inspection is a good business to make money for pep boys

Customers be aware. Horrible customer service. Had my appointment scheduled on the website 3 days prior to my service. They called 15min before the appointment to cancel, without leaving a voicemail or message of any sort. This also happened last time I went for an oil change at this place four months ago. When I confronted the manager about this, he lied about the time he had called me (I had to get my phone out to prove this). After that, he simply said if you had picked up the phone you would know your appointment was cancelled. Right after leaving the store I was sent an email saying sorry you couldnt make your appointment and asking for a reschedule.
They installed Falken Wildpeak tires on my truck last month. The price they gave was better than their online price and better than online at tirerack and tirebuyer.com and they had tires in stock at their warehouse. I was there at end of day and they knocked out the install in less than an hour. I would recommend them for sure.
Made an appointment 9 days ago for new tires and a wheel alignment only for them to call me and lmk that they forgot to order my tires. Unbelievable.

My husband and I have had our three cars serviced with Josh and his crew in Salisbury for years. They are professional, fair in pricing, and take care of our auto needs in a timely manner. We had previously been to our dealership for servicing on all vehicles until we were told we needed thousands of dollars in work and decided to get a second opinion with Josh at Pep Boys in Salisbury. He was very honest and said in fact our brakes and rotors were in fine shape. We will only deal with Josh and his crew from here out.

Took my car to Pep Boys for the first time on a recommendation from a coworker. My brakes were making noise and I was worried the pads were done. I set up an appointment online (which I loved). When I arrived the young lady whose name I did not catch checked me in. She was very friendly and efficient as she ran all over to multitask while helping me and some others. They took my car back immediately. Half an hour later she called me to the front and told me they couldnt take my money. I was confused at first but she explained that there was nothing wrong with my brakes, that I had more than enough padding and the noise was likely due to dust and rain and gave me a timeline on when to have them checked again. I am so very impressed. The honesty, the customer service and the care Pep boys provided today has earned them a longtime, loyal customer.
I’ve given this location a lot of my business down through the years and they have let me down each time in various ways but I forgave them each time they screwed up something and went back to them for service up until this last time when I had them replace an alternator and belts on my 2005 Town and Country Mini van. To make a long story short the technician replaced the alternator correctly but in his lack of attention to detail putting things back together after the install the technician forgot to plug back in my auxiliary fan. As a result of this my vehicle was acting like it wanted to run hot when it shouldn’t as I’ve had everything serviced on this vehicle. I investigated the issue myself and sure enough i discovered the auxiliary fan to my radiator was disconnected.The auxiliary fan plug is right in front of the alternator that was replaced in my van and I understand why he disconnected it to access the area but the technician’s carelessness to be through in his work almost caused me to cause further damage to my vehicle. The sad part of this is I don’t know if this was shady auto repair business to intentionally cause more damage to my vehicle or just sloppy work ethics.... Either case I will never do business with Pep boys again after this! And they had a nerve to charge me over $600 for sloppy shady work ethics that almost cost me an engine. smh! #justsad

Went in to get brake pads changed after another place had quoted us twice the price for the same service. They take my car back and let me know that I only needed to change the front 2 and the back 2 could wait another 10000 miles or so. Walked in expecting to spend $500, only spent $260. I was very happy about that. They also explained everything well enough for me to actually understand what was going on (I know NOTHING about cars) so i left actually knowing what was done to my car for once. Also when we told them how much the other place had quoted us, they shared our shock and made me feel better about walking away from that situation. I know where Ill be going whenever I need something done to my car now 😍
I’ve never brought my car here and I’m normally very hesitant about who does work on my car. But I had an issue that happened and pep boys was the only place open. Not only were they cheaper then anywhere else but they only took a day and everything was good to go. I’ve never been happier and the service was honestly really great. I will be returning here in the future instead of where I use to go.

Called on a Tuesday to ask about availability for an oil change. Was told any time between open to 7:00 would be good except for that day .Fast forward to the next day. Call in at 4pm to schedule for 6pm. Was told everything is good to go. I drive 1 hour to the location to be told they are busy doing tires and that I can come back tommrow. No call saying that are busy. Nothing.

Ive been here several times for various things on different vehicles. Honestly, I dont know why though. I spent over $1,000 on tires for my pickup and didnt even get a thank you for my business or the smudges on my rims wiped off. When I sold the truck I put another $600 into it and they were less than polite again. However, they did a good job on it that time. Now Ive bought a used car and took it in to get a full tune up ($275). I went back to them because they do have a lot better hours than other people and they usually can get you in right away. The guy at the counter, I think his name was Dave, was very polite and explained everything and the prices. Over the 2 hour period that I was there the mechanic never came in to show me the old parts that he had removed or tell me anything about what was going on. When he did come in he did not even speak to me. He held my keys up and jingled them at me, turned around and tossed them on the counter with the paperwork, gave me an evil glare, and walked back outside. The labor cost me $150 out of the $275 so I think at least a smile would make me feel better about throwing my money away. Not happy!

Employees at the Salisbury location were extremely friendly and helpful. I had called and was told they had the tires I wanted in stock, got there, no tires. But they ordered for me and honored the sale price. When the tires came in, the guys expedited service and got my car in and out quickly. Id return for my next set of tires.
I made an appointment online for a state inspection, but when I showed up this morning for my scheduled appointment, I was told that it would be over an hour before they could start on my car, and that it probably wouldn’t be until late afternoon before it would be done. I appreciate the staff being upfront about the issue, but a business shouldn’t offer appointment times if they aren’t going to honor them.
Extremely disappointed, I went There to get my tire fixed and they told me they had sealed it up and I was Good and said no charge because “it only took five minutes”, however I felt Bad they weren’t charging me if they had did such a service and tipped the technician anyways. To my disappointment, my tire went flat within the next few hours. I had To end up taking it somewhere else to see if it was something else and they informed me that my tire wasn’t sealed at all and whoever did the job wasn’t honest with me. With that being said, I wouldve Rather paid the price for a full, completed and honest service but instead I wasted My time with pep boys and got nothing out it. Totally don’t recommend at all !!!!
I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and wanted a high mileage instead of conventional. The front desk guy said it didnt matter what I got basically, Theyre the same and then admitted he didnt know the difference. It was taking too long to check in, so I just agreed to conventional and dropped off my car. I was a bit concerned with entrusting my car at that point. I returned after 3.5 hours assuming my car was done with the oil change... it wasnt, and it wouldnt even be started until 30 minutes later. Jordan, the same front desk from before informed me they were down a technician. I can understand that, but is the customer service so terrible or do they not care? They cant call after an hour and update me? It would have been fine if I was updated, plans could have been arranged for a later drop off time at the store. Ive been a long time customer with my local Pep Boys, however, I dont think Id be returning after this experience. Its definitely not the service that use to come from this store. Not at all okay.
No one greeted me, or ask me if I needed any help. I had to wait about five minutes before somebody said they would be with me shortly. After that they did do the work that was needed in a timely manner, and the price was fair.
The staff member who helped me was wonderful! He made the stress of purchasing a roof top luggage thing because we had to squeeze 2 adults a baby and two dogs into and outback very easy. Putting the object together once home was and whole other project. But the experience of purchasing and loading it in my vehicle and do getting everything needed for it was very pleasant.
They were off the charts helpful and got me taken care of.
I purchased a used car in Salisbury MD that needed new tires to be driven safely back to Pennsylvania. I called the the store and ordered tires that were to be installed on the car when I picked the car up on Saturday, since the tires are an odd size and were not in stock. Everything was arranged with the service advisor and I was assured the tires would be in the store Saturday. When I arrived only two of the tires were in. I was told the other two would be in Monday, which did me no good. Had to drive 200 miles on dry rotted tires back to Pennsylvania in the pouring rain. Pep Boys never called to tell me the tires would not be there, so I couldnt make any other arrangements elsewhere.Follow up: Pep Boys contacted me after this review and offered a 10% discount off tires if I wanted to drive back to Maryland and have them installed. Explain to me how I go in for an oil change and get charged for one and everything and my car breakdowns two weeks later and it’s because the oil has not been changed in at least 10,000 miles according the mechanic. When asked about it they just told me there’s no way I can prove they didn’t do it. Stay away from these scums.
Used to get oil changes from Walmart but got ignored for almost an hour there and I’ve used pep boys ever since, they’re great!
While on vacation at the beach the tires on my car were vandalized. Not wanting to blow an already tight vacation budget on new tires I opted to have a set of used ones installed. The used tire shop did not balance the tires or use a torque wrench to put my wheels back on. I was hundreds of miles from home and this concerned me. I am a regular customer of the Pep Boys in Annapolis, so decided to stop into the store in Salisbury to see if they could help. I pulled up outside the service bays with my two kids asleep in the car. A mechanic named Dustin came over to see if he could help me. After I explained my situation Dustin got a torque wrench and checked all of my lug nuts for me. Then he wouldnt accept a tip. This may seem minor, but it made my drive home much less stressful knowing that my wheels were properly installed. Service like this is why I will continue to trust Pep Boys with my automotive needs in the future, starting with balancing my used tires. Thanks Dustin!
Very happy with pep boys. Made my appointment online to have brake work done on a Sunday. Brake pads and rotors had to be replaced on all 4 wheels, work was done and I was out in just over 2 hours (oil change too). All of the staff were very polite and respectful, even though I am sure they would have rather been at home on Fathers Day. Highly recommend.
Update on 4/22/2020 from over a year ago from my last buying experience listed below! I thought I would give PEPBOYS a chance for an oil change and tire rotation. I specifically asked them 3 separate times for a tire rotation and they promised that they had completed the task. Because I’m from the old-school, I marked my tires in advance. Upon paying and leaving the store, I noticed that the tires were not in fact rotated. Before leaving their lot I went back in to address the situation with a service guy behind the counter. He provided me with a lame excuse after the fact. After leaving PEPBOYS, I went down the road to one of their competitors to Inquire about 4 new tires.. BUYER BEWARE!==========================================I’m a very visual customer and if I’m buying tires I like to see what it is that I’m buying. The service department didn’t have the tire available for me to see; as the service advisor said its stocked way high on the shelf. For the most part other front employees were friendly & eager to help!
Had my check engine light checked out and Brandon dropped what he was doing, ran a diagnostic, and gave me friendly advice about what to do. Ill come back because of him. What a great employee!
They got the job done from what I can tell, but the interaction and aftermath was not worth it. Meaning the subpar customer service, and the state of my belongings in the backseat. I was definitely not treated with any respect, and no matter what I did to keep my composure, they continued to belittle me. My guitar that I saved up for months for was sitting in the backseat (they did nothing that involved the inside of the car, other than driving it 20 feet), appeared to literally be thrown to the other side of the car. I also had expensive music equipment in bags that were moved around, and a mic stand that was knocked over and left a scratch on the door panel. Oh, and my passenger seat doesnt go forward anymore! The lever does nothing. How/why could they have done so much damage inside of the car when it was a quick 20m tire change? Your guess is as good as mine! Needless to say, I would not recommend them unless its an emergency.
Worst shop Ive ever been to. Do not go here! They estimated my brakes at 279 to 340 max. Then called after I dropped it off and said out would be over 800. I could have gotten them fixed cheaper anywhere else. Then, my car was supposed to be ready by 11. Its after 12 and Im still waiting. I drove up there and asked them when they would be finished.they have no idea. Theyll call me. Worst shop ever. Do not go there

Absolutely horrible. Replaced my FR wheel bearing. Realized they put it on BACKWARDS after I left and did not once attempt to call or notify me. Mind you, wheel bearings are essential for break function and I drove over 80 miles per day for work until I took my car in to get the FL bearing replaced four days later. It was at that point that they told me of the mistake they made. I paid $420.00 for absolutely nothing. Essentially I paid for them to make my car worse because they messed it up a second time and now my car is not driveable. Mileage is the same in and out on both of my receipts which clearly means they did not even test drive it either time. The squealing coming from the front end is so bad now that my neighbors come out to make sure Im okay. (The squealing is the new problem which I never had until after getting my car back). Level of trust for this company = 0 . Ive been trying to contact corporate for over 4 days now to get a full refund because I now must pay someone else to fix the damages THEY caused and I simply DO NOT TRUST PEP BOYS. You can not LIE and continue to FAIL at the job someone pays you for, especially when it comes to someones SAFETY. 0 out of 5 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Im always a little skeptical about chain mechanics. They have great hours though, and if you need something done soon (and its simple) you cant go wrong. Its tough if you have to leave your car for awhile. Updates arent their strong suit and I get the impression that if you check in regularly (and are nice about it) you are less likely to be forgotten.

Prices are too high, and dont fall for the tricks of getting something cheap via advertisements. For an example they had buy 3 tires get one free so I asked for an estimate of what it would cost to get tires for my truck and it was over $1,200 when I went back to the gentleman and explain to him that on the advertisement the tires were $168 a piece and that price multiplied by 3 would be $504 and I could understand adding a little bit for mounting balancing and taxes, that is when he replied to me that all the other tires of that brand are on sale just not your size tire... What a gimmick. This is why I have stayed away from Pep Boys. Not only has the customer service dwindled, but also the customers as well and this is why read the signs or read the fine print because a lot of that is because of mail-in rebates or other gimmicks that should just be illegal. As I have just had to return treatment for oil and transmission because I got it at Walmart 30% cheaper if I would have purchased it at Pep Boys I would have to had to send in a mail in rebate and been lucky if I would have got that back and I would have still paid more.
Made an appointment online 9/26 for 9/28 for 4 tires. Dropped my car off at 10am, got a call about 2 hours later telling me they only have 3 in their inventory. Was told it would be ordered and be there 10/3. I called and was told it wasn’t there, so was then told to come in 10/6, as the tire would definitely be there. Went in to drop my car off and no one knew anything. Had to be showed the actual screen as proof that they actually ordered my tire. Now have to go back 10/10. Since I had made an appointment ahead of time, I expected the tires to be there, not told 2 hours later that they don’t actually have them and then have to come back 2 weeks later to get ONE tire done. Employees were unapologetic, and didn’t care to hear my concerns or frustrations. Need to work on customer service and preparation. Employees should not be just saying but actually doing.
I had to help a family member who is older get 4 new tires on their car so I started shopping tires online. Pepboys has come a long way in their service. I paid for 4 new tires online and the install, was able to schedule the appointment to install them right at check out. We dropped the car off, the install was done before the scheduled appointment and I went and picked it up. It was SO CONVENIENT!!! I loved them Working on my vehicles til a $90 part came up missing & I had to call the police & file a police report to take responsibility & stop trying to act like I would steal my own part back while their trying to fix it... I will never trust them again n no longer carry my vehicles to them

I walked in at 6pm with a tire with a nail in it, and the tech who was on the way to the break room to get a drink on this hot day, insisted on grabbing the tire from me and beginning work right away even though I told him he could take his break first. The service writer friendly as well, and 25 minutes later I was driving away. Great service and pricing, very pleased!
Had issue with tire that constantly was losing air. only stopped here because every other shop had a 2-3 hour wait. the service manager had the personality of a brick. 40 minutes later i was done. i asked them what the tech found, manager replied they didnt tell me what they did to it. he was ringing me up, and moved over to another register, i took 2 steps towards the other register and he barked, STAY OVER THERE! i paid the 12.00 bill and left. 2 days later the tire started leaking again. bad service, bad staff, not a good place to go.

Great parts store, does repairs too, however it seams only routine things. Did receive a strange answer on a service request there for a Ford V8 motor repair. They said they would not work on these motors .... Which is strange given the amount of these motors on the road.

Went in to get my car checked out because of the car making weird noises and was forced to wait 30 minutes since they were busy. And to make it worse after 15 minutes another customer came in and they were checked in before me by another employee, and when the other employee asked if I needed help the employee who told me to wait said he was already helping me and forced me to wait another 15 minutes before telling the other employee to check me in. I knew I should have left after this, but I didn’t, and guess what they didn’t even look at the car until almost 3 hours later since they were busy with 2 cars in the garage which weren’t touched for nearly 2 hours since there electric guy was on his lunch break. When finally picking up my car they said they “tried” for an hour and couldn’t find the issue. Anyone want to guess why this place has like 5 garages and an empty parking lot.
Terrible place, don’t waste your time or money. Dropped a vehicle off to get a new tire and oil change. They called and said they couldn’t work in it because the vehicle was misfiring and the check engine light was on. I went to the store, got my keys and when I turned the car on, it ran perfectly! No warning lights not misfiring. Drove it home then noticed my glove box had been emptied and everything was left on the floor. The dish I kept change in was empty. They ransacked my car and stole like $4 in change, pathetic
Couldn’t fix the problem with the car and then didn’t even give me a call to let me know that I needed to have it towed elsewhere but I did find a good deal on a cellphone portable battery

Really horrible service
Some of the best customer service I have ever recieved. The sales employee knew exactly what I needed, where it was in the store and provided expert advice in bow to solve the problem my car was experiencing. Ill be buying all my car accessories and car parts from Pep-boys!
