Best coffee place in West Salem, possibly all of Salem! The coffee is delicious, staff is friendly, the café is pleasant and quiet, and *they bake their own pastries*. And the pastries are divine! The scones are a must-have with flavors changing seasonally. Look at these beauties! Most of the flavors are standard (marionberry, chocolate chip), but today I got pumpkin ginger curry! (I took 2 big bites before I remembered to photo it lol). Its so wrong but so right! Yum! And my cappuccino is perfection, unlike Dutch Bros who seem confused by the term. Cannot recommend enough! Fabulous!!

Have been meaning to try this place for awhile now. I got the jalapeno bagel with the smoky pepper smear and a marionberry scone. Both were so delicious, will definitely be coming back !

It is obvious that the people of suburbian West Salem know their favorite coffee spot. Its here, because this place was packed from the moment I walked in to when I walked out on a WEDNESDAY MORNING! I cant imagine what a saturday afternoon would look like here. I got a salt and herb bagel with cream cheese and a medium white chocolate mocha. The coffee was a bit sweet, but I love it that way, and it was a good quality cup of joe for the price. The bagel (which you toast yourself in a toaster to the left of the counter) was yummy, although quite salty for my taste. I spent under 10$ for 2 hours of studying in a wonderful atmosphere with great service and a cleanly environment. I will definitely come here again. Overall, great spot for studying, interviews, dates, family get togethers and midday pick me ups.

Weve been without power for 2 days. Heard the coffee was good there and decided to try it. GREAT coffee and only 1 person ahead of me. You could actually taste the coffee in our white chocolate mochas too. Really nice employees. Will definitely be going back!

Decided to finally try this place out on my birthday. Friendly staff, yummy drinks and pastries (in the higher price range). A very relaxing environment.(And if you’re curious, no, they don’t offer a birthday freebie drink)

Really cute place, always clean and the staff is always really great. Not too expensive for a coffee shop, and their pastries and bagels are fantastic. Theres tons of tables and places to sit, so its a great place to set up and work for a while. Their coffee isnt incredible, but pretty much everything else makes up for it. Definitely the best place in West Salem to sit down and focus for a couple hours.

Coffee is really good here, better than Dutch Bros and Java Express, IMO, and its slightly more affordable. Ive only tried the marionberry scone and snickerdoodle cookie, both really good! Atmosphere is okay. Its warm and inviting, despite the urban theme. Staff is really friendly, too (it doesnt hurt that the young red head girl that works here is cute). This is my go-to spot on my days off.

Urban Grange Coffee was great! Ive been there three times now, and its a great place to hang out. It was quiet, so students would come in to do homework. I had a zucchini chocolate muffin and SOMEHOW, they managed to make chocolate healthy AND delicious. However, there coffee was NOT coffee. It was weak, and a little too sweet. The same can be said for the Italian sodas. One thing I liked was the Molasses cookie! It was thick, sweet, and topped with sugar crystals. Overall, Urban Grange Coffee is a cute place to eat, and a quiet place to work.

This coffee shop is one of Salem’s best stops. The staff are great people who build relationships with their customers, serve great coffee, and hand make their pastries. Highly recommend!

I have always enjoyed this place, friendly staff, great pastries and bagels and delicious coffee. However, I am giving them a 3 star review because they dont wear masks. It is out of respect and safety for their customers to do so, to protect them. (We can carry Covid-19 and have no symptoms.) I am sorry I wont be coming there because of their reckless attitude.

This place is operating full seating, and the employees here wear only face shields, which they tend to lift up in the kitchen area while preparing food. Not following OHA recommendations for preventing covid and I walked out before trying the coffee.

Atmosphere was good, coffee was pretty bad. Scone tasted stale at 11am. Either came from a mix or frozen.

STRONG coffee and not enough available half and half. Otherwise great place, employees polite and friendly, tables and chairs clean. Able to carry on conversations at reasonable tone of voice which is Always good! Do wish they carried soft drinks though.

Fresh coffee. Fresh bagels (tip: try the salt and herbs) and pastries. Theres ALWAYS an easy and comfortable vibe. The staff are courteous, quick and fun. Lots of tables and chairs. Perfect for those wanting to work off-site. Highly recommended.

I love the atmosphere and they make a great latte. The bagels are also better than any others Ive had anywhere else. As for the brewed coffee, I would say its a little weak. I think Starbucks brewed coffee is very strong. I hope the owner finds something in between. Overall, I still enjoy coming here better than any other place.Recently had a bump in price. Prices have been the same for 5 years. Still better priced than most other coffee shops.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the area. The owners and employees are so friendly and welcoming and they offer such a relaxing environment. Neighborhood coffee shop with a lot of heart and amazing bagels! Order one with chive cream cheese if you go after 8 a.m. (If you go before 8 a.m., Im probably competing for that delicious cream cheese on my everything bagel; they do sell out.) Theyll also memorize your order if you want them to. Its a coffee house I will willing spend time in.

It is wonderful to hear an independent coffee shop in West Salem! The coffee is good, the service is friendly, and it feels good to support a local community organization.

They have Battle Ship. The coffee (I drink Americanos and house brew) is amazing. Bagel selection is off the hook. They are all delicious. The people who run the shop are nice. The owner isnt a tool.They have a few nick-knacks for sale including honey and clothe coasters. There is plenty of seating, but it is not cramped. They have board games for people to play, including Battle Ship. The general vibe is that of a North Western coffee shop while not being overtly crunchy. I love coming here with friends and hanging after getting my coffee. Also, they have Battle Ship.

This is a place where friends of all ages gather. I learn so much here from weekly conversations. The noise raises at some times to a din after 10 AM, but by that time I am ready to return to work at my home office. The morning light is gentle and traffic coming down off the hill is interesting.

A relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with great coffee and good people. One of my favorite places to get together with people.

This is a great relaxed coffee shop. They have shelves of board games in the back, and delicious baked goods (made in house! ) We love going on the weekend to play board games and often spend hours there!

I visited this morning for the 1st time even though I reside here in West Salem. Upon walking to the front of the building they have some outside seating with tables opening the door immediately to the inside right was greeted by 3 friendly smiling faced police officers. A nice calming atmosphere the word Grange really does fit. The Americano coffee is my litmus test and they passed.

This joint has the most authentic chai in town, very flavorful and not too sweet. Blended is the best. That is, when theyve got it in stock. Due to popular demand, they are occasionally found to be without. Otherwise, I love this place! Great drinks, good pastry, and lovely people.
