Delicious! It reminds me of a crepe...only an ice cream crepe. Also, it does not melt super fast. The chocolate peanut butter was great and so was the memba berries. We made the detour (1 1/2 miles) from the interstate, and it didnt disappoint. And just for fun, the spoons change color with the cold.

Great ice cream. Lots of variety. The guy who was working the day we went was so nice and knew the menu so well that when I ordered he suggested another similar flavor he thought I would like better and he was totally right. He doted on our son who is less than 2yrs old and made great conversation while we waited for our ice cream to be made. I definitely recommend.

When we arrived one employee was outside having a discussion on his phone wearing his gloves, we saw him touch his hair and put his hands in his pockets. He comes in and keeps the same gloves on to prepare our drink, he brings the drink out and i tell him that we saw him outside on the phone and touching his body/hair while wearing the gloves and it is illegal to do so and he gets in an argument and says it is not required to wash your hands or wear clean gloves and that he only touched his phone. i told him it is actually required for all places to serve food to abide by health codes and he said nobody cares about health regulations... there was a girl working there as well and she had on gloves and was lifting up her leggings and touching her hair whole also making ice cream. These people literally believe health codes do not exist and clean hands are not required. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you dont want skin cells and hair on your food.

Had the best rolled ice cream I’ve ever had here! Z made us some awesome ice cream and was super nice and friendly! Seriously I’ve had a loooot of rolled ice cream and the one he made was the absolute best Pink Panther ever! Will definitely be back for more!

I got coconut smoothie with tapioca Pearls 10/10. Long line with only 2 workers which made things move very very slow. Otherwise good service

Theyre great at what they do. I get something different Everytime and am never disappointed. Only complaint is I wish there was more standing/sitting room.Update: They do have an additional location in Roanoke we visit now that has plenty of seating and all the same yummy treats! No reason to not visit now :-D

Only ok. 2 out of 3 of us didn’t like ours. I’ve had Boba tea across the us and in several countries, so maybe I’m expecting too much from our small area. I have allergies and like smoothie style better than on the rocks, but it was just liquidy and not frozen at all. Rolled ice cream had no flavor per my husband. My daughters LMT was good to her, like creamy lavender

Best boba you can get in the valley, hands down. same quality as tanglewood location, but more walkable. the line can sometimes be long and the boba is a tiny bit pricey, but its good!

Small and cute store with friendly staff. The ice cream is delicious, and there are so many flavors and toppings to choose from. You can watch the staff roll the ice cream from your table. One of the staff messed up rolling the ice cream making our order, and they made it again for free without even asking us!

Dessert AND a show! The rolled ice cream is tasty and its absolutely entertaining to watch these guys make everything from scratch! (And its also pretty awesome that the spoons change color when they get cold!)

1st of all there is only one lady working in there I went 2 times..and every time the lady I think she is the manager she is so rude and I think she is rasist so I don’t recommend going to this place plus the drinks tastes awful and they don’t have much variety in boba

Champloo Desserts is a fantastic little hole-in-the-wall shop that sells a delicious assortment of handmade ice creams. They have a large menu of ranging options, from simple vanilla or chocolate to exquisite flavors like Mango with Tango or Mint Everest - both which I highly recommend. There are even coffee and tea flavored ice cream dishes. Anything that you buy is sure to satiate that sweet tooth.The staff are friendly from the moment you walk in the door. It is great to be able to see your purchase being made right infront of you on the slabs of ice with only spatulas. I was extremely absorbed in what the workers were doing that I didnt even mind the slight wait.The ice cream is delicious, rich in flavor, and smooth in texture, and the toppings vary from classics like walnuts and sprinkles to the more daring like green tea pocky and York Mint. The amount that you get for your buck is definitely worth it.If ice cream isnt your thing, Champloo Desserts also has delicious drinks like Boba tea in many flavors or frozen lemonade - they also have French Pressed Coffee.The best part of Champloo Desserts? Nothing is over $6.00! I highly recommend that anyone in the Salem area visit this place at least once.

Love that there are vegan and dairy free options that are delicious. The staff is young and fun. Lots of energy and humor. A fun place to take kids where they can watch their dessert rolled into a yummy creation. Prices are pretty good for the portion sizes.

Now I know what rolled ice cream is. And it is delicious!!!! You can choose a flavor or create your own flavor combo from the menu and watch them make right before your eyes. Also they can make almost any flavor vegan! They dont have different size options, so no matter what flavor you choose or create, its all the same price. Also excellent service. They asked us a couple of times while we sat there if we were enjoying it and how we liked it, as if they were really looking for feedback. Highly recommend this place for a treat.

Stopped in for the first time and asked for a suggestion on what I should try and I wanted something light and refreshing. The young man suggested Summertime which is a Salted Watermelon flavor. I was fascinated watching it being made and it tasted just like the way I eat my watermelon!! AWESOME!!I Will be back! You guys Rock ♡

This place is super fun to go to and has great desserts. The employees are very nice. Basically any ice cream on their menu should be great. The wait times are typically very long and the cost is around $6 for an ice cream here, but its definitely worth it. They also have very good matcha tea.

My friend Joseph took me while I was visiting from WV. The experience was one of the best Ive ever had. Not only were tho desserts and treats offered too notch, but the service was friendly and welcoming and so unforgettable. I look forward to going again and encourage anyone who likes good vibes and great ice cream to check it out 😊

Like I said, I like the staff and I hear their ice cream is awesome, but I just had a rotten experience.This is definitely a review I did not want to write because this is a new business and the staff I encountered (including the owner) are genuinely nice people. However, after visiting for a chance to try something sweet, I left with a very sour experience...twice...To keep myself from ranting about good business practice, Ill keep this short. The demand was too high for the store to keep up and caused me and my family to wait for over an hour for a couple ice cream orders. They basically said sorry, we messed up, heres free ice cream for your next visit and sent us on our way. Yea, Im upset that they kept us around for so long for no reason, but okay I understand...they werent prepared to be as busy as they were on opening day (they sold out of ingredients, the freezers overheated, the store was at physical capacity...etc).Sure, fine, whatever...but what really put me over edge is that we decided to come back to give them business the next day. They remembered us, but still told us it would be a 45 min wait because there are 11 orders on deck. We pleaded our case and were still turned away. Seems pretty standard to me to just push our orders through considering our wasted time the previous night, but alas, Im back in DC and cant come back in.

Love the ice cream. Cant beat it made on a cold slab in front of you. The rosettes that happen when they scrape it off the slab really help get the various ice cream syrups down in there. In our group we got smores, the breakfast cereal (its got fruity pebbles in it), strawberry shortcake, and peanut butter cup and everyone was very pleased.

We were lucky that the wait was very reasonable. Employees were welcoming. Amazing to watch the liquid turn in to ice cream. Im personally not a fan of the ice cream. I think I like regular ice cream better. No fault of Champloo.

Coming from the west coast I totally didnt expect to see a shop like this! The staff is super friendly and very helpful! While there is a small wait for your treat, it is also an art, a well done one no less! Well worth the wait! My whole family loved everything we got, and plan to go again very soon!

I took my daughter to Champloo for her 18th birthday and it was absolutely amazing! The guys were so nice and friendly and made us feel very welcome! The dessert was phenomenal!!! I have never had anything like it! I look for this to go global. So proud to have them in our area! My daughter had mango...it was awesome!! I had Rocky Road.....diabetic coma....here I come....but it was totally worth it! I have told everybody I know about them. I would like to see a sugar-free or low sugar option....I know that is hard for ice cream.....I would also like to see some coupons as I am a single mom on a very fixed income....and I would suggest a cold glass of water with your order. These guys have got it going on! Thanks for bringing this amazing treat to us! You made my daughters birthday very memorable! WE WILL RETURN!

These guys were very skilled at making ice cream. It is really cool because they make it right in front of you and they have a lot of custom flavors to choose from. If you arent sure what flavor, they are also very helpful in giving their perspective on the flavors to help you decide. I definitely recommend Champloo Dessert.

I have had rolled ice-cream before many times and this wasnt the best example of it. It was not rich and decadent, it was more fudge pop style too heavily iced. Though the person who made mine was clearly new and by the time the ice-cream was ready it was over frozen and not ruling, it was making squares. They should have started again but didnt. We had 3 flavors to try and I didnt like any of them. But its cute and in a cute place.

Certainly a good and different dairy treat. This is not a good place to take your main squeeze and gaze into her eyes as it is very small and very loud. Staff is friendly and they seem to enjoy themselves. Their location is just tight on space. There is a TV screen which plays music, it displays scantily clad women and would be better suited to hooters or a strip club.

The staff at Champloo are very friendly. I stopped in to order a Vietnamese hot coffee and it was delicious. I have also tried the rolled ice cream and was surprised at how creamy and rich it was. They are conveniently located in downtown Salem just a block off of Main Street.

Delicious rolled ice cream in downtown Salem. The ice cream was delicious and large enough to split with someone else. It does take a little time to make the ice cream and there is usually a line though, so expect a 15-20 minute wait.

Its a novelty thing. My ice cream was pretty good, but my wifes had an odd flavor to it. Honestly, rolled ice cream is kind of a hassle to eat the way its put in the cup. Neat idea, just not my thing.

Theres another place called Bare Ice that sells it for less than $5, so Ive been going there since Im on a student budget. The shop is lovely, but a little small and quite often gets too overcrowded. Overall, yummy ice cream.
