I really loved the Caliber office in Salem. Ive been to other shops of the same name around the region and none have left me feeling so satisfied as this shop. I had gone in for some body work from a hit and run. Upon arrival they were quick to evaluate my car and get me into a rental. I received regular updates about the progress of the repair and had my car back in about a week. Most impressively, I have an older car with faded paint. Their painters are very talented and were able to tint the paint so well that you cannot even tell the paint job was done. It looks wonderful! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Work well with Allstate.

I walked in to ask for an estimate for a simple paint touch up and without even asking what I needed automatically turned me away (at least that was the impression that was given off). They expressed multiple times how backlogged they were and that they weren’t willing to even schedule to provide an estimate for two weeks. Never asked for my name or what I was wanting an estimate for.The amount of time it took to turn me away they could have likely provided my simple estimate.

Customer service and quality of work were both below any expectation that a customer should have in working with a shop. Caliber initiated zero communication with me, my vehicle took 6 times longer than quoted, and then the paint was done so poorly I had to return to have it fixed. Icing on the cake was how I was treated differently upon my husbands arrival. The sexism was obvious and is unacceptable.

Earlier, I was pleased with the work that had been done. I appreciated that the shop technicians remove the pitch it was on the passenger side above the big dent. However, after I made these comments, I noticed that there was a small scrape that had not been fixed and was part of the accident that caused the damage. I am not going to pursue it, however, because I would have to get a rental car again and probably have to pay for it myself. However, the work that was done was good. Thank you. And merry Christmas!

This was a collision repair. They had superb customer service. A rental car was waiting for us. Customer service was in contact with us on a regular basis. Their price was less than expected. They worked directly with our insurance. The car was ready on time and returned in excellent condition. We highly recommend the shop on 13th street in Salem.

Their job can be rated less than one-star. They spend over one month to repair small dent on rear fender. The one-month repair was horrible. They called me to pick up my car just a week after drop in. however the pair was worst. There were long paint sag line along fender edge. So I refused to pick it up and asked to fix. After FOUR WEEKS, they called again and asked to pick up my car. I could find out a paint sag on the bumper cover at once even though that was one-month spend, second request. And they proudly billed me $500 deductible and billed $1492 to my insurance company for that horrible job.

Mark Schroeder, the General Manager, personally attended to the details of my cars repair and did a terrific job. This is my 3rd experience dealing with the staff and work at this location: once when it was Kadels; once when it was Abra; and most recently when it was (still is) Caliber Collision. They have been extremely consistent, are good at communicating where my vehicle is in the repair process, and were very courteous and professional. I have no reason to shop for anyone else to do any body work because they have done such a good job. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and would use them again myself in a heartbeat.To show you how courteous and considerate they are, Mark the General Manager put $10 of gas in my cars tank because the gas light was on when it was dropped off. What a class act!

I loved my experience with Caliber was wonderful! Very friendly, communicative staff and I felt in the know all along the way of my repairs. I feel like the turnaround time on the repairs was also rather quick! My car looks GREAT!My repair costs were covered by the insurance of the person who hit me so I cant say much on value (and I have also never needed body work like that). They arrange rental pickup/drop-off for you there at the shop, so that was also really nice.Highly recommend!

I used this company back in March of 2020, my understanding is they are formally Kadels which always did good work for me which is why I went with them.I will preference that I have not discussed these issues with them so I dont know if they would correct it, but I have neither the time nor desire to followup and deal with returning the vehicle and the hassle of being without my work truck again.I found three issues with my repair.Mainly, was a dent repair on the passenger side fender of the rear bumper, the impact was rear driver side bumper, it looked like a very obvious last minute repair was done, the bondo was not fully sanded to the extent that a globe is hanging off the fender and the paint looks like it had been brushed on similar to what you might do with a touch up kit quality.Second, they had to remove the tail lights, and failed to install the screws back into one of them, so I found it just flopping around back there one night, two screws gone, the entire way it is held in place, one screw maybe could argue backed out but not two.Third, Im not sure if they reused the trim to the bumper or what, they told me they would be using a none OEM replacement, I really didnt care, but the cap didnt fit properly as the old OEM unit and subsequently came off and was lost probably on the freeway.Overall just sloppy workmanship in my opinion, Ill replace the screws, the bondo issue is basically out of sight and the cap is whatever, but its the little finish things that pull a project together or ruin it.They were nice, the service was decent, but when I leave all I care about is, is my truck better than before the accident, and it was worse than before the person hit me so whats even the point.

ABRA was professional and customer service was great! Brought my Kia Soul in for some body work. They did a great job just like new. Niki and the rest of the staff was awesome. Rented a car Enterprise agreed to pay for a week of rental costs. The work ended up taking a week longer. ABRA picked up the rental costs for the second week. Great company. Highly recommend

Needed to repair some scratched paint and a cracked plastic piece from a small accident. They got it done in two days, looks as good as new afterwards. They were friendly and helpful. No complaints to speak of.This is the second time Ive dealt with them, and my experience was good both times. Id recommend them.

Worst body shop experience ever! I will take my future business elsewhere, and you should too! Heres why; 5 days after we took our vehicle in to have a $1,500 bumper repair, we were called and told it was ready to be picked up. When we arrived the bumper looked terrible, even Kadels estimator noticed the poor repair (I guess they dont have a quality control department, or even look at the vehicle before they call the customer to come down and pick it up). While we waited in the office for the manager to go out and look at the poor repair, we overheard one of their estimators making call after call to customers telling them that they had found additional hidden damage that needed repair. After the manager looked at our vehicle, they agreed it needed to be done correctly and said to bring it back the following Monday at 7:30am and they would arrange a rental car for us while they tried to get it right. So we arrived Monday at 7:30am to drop off the car and guess what, no rental car available for us. So I told them to call me when a car was available (obviously the customers time is not important to them). I received a call at 11am saying they had a car available (it was supposed to be a full sized car billed to Kadels). When I arrived it was a Toyota Corolla (not full sized) and the paper work was filled out to be billed to my insurance company (not Kadels). This whole experience was a fiasco. Finally, 16 days late, they had our $1,500 properly prepared. When I asked for help with my $1,000 deductible for all the hassle, inconvenience, and wasted time, I was told my deductible wasnt high enough for them to help.

Oregon law allows you to choose your body shop for insurance-paid repairs. Id recommend choosing somewhere else.Took our car here for an estimate after an accident and our insurance company sent us here. The so-called estimate took 30 seconds. The car had been rear-ended, but the estimator never even looked under the car. He missed a crack in the taillight, and claimed that our bumper could be buffed and repaired to pre-loss value.To borrow the words of the shop we let repair it: This estimate is a joke. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Took my car in for a rear collision. Two weeks passed, the called said it was done 👍 Went to get the car and the new bumper was a different color 👎they repainted and it matched 👍 worst of all they didnt repair the structural frame damage.

Didnt get a chance to observe their work. Rather than sending the breakdown estimate, they just told the insurance company that they were guessing it was totalled based on what the insurance company had initially value my truck at and didnt look at it again when the valuation went up.

I should preface the review by saying, that I am glad that the repairs were payed by the other persons insurance. I had a choice who to take it to, but agreed to take it here because I thought they would be reputable.I originally wanted to drop my vehicle off to get repaired on July 29th. They said that they couldnt do it until Aug. 17th. My first thought was, thats good that they are busy, it must be that they do good work.I dropped my vehicle off on Mon. Aug. 17th. Justin an employee at Kadells said that they though it might be Friday or maybe the following Monday. But that he would for sure call me on Wed. 19th to give me an update and let me know how long the repairs will be. He never called, and I waited until Mon. the 24th, and with no call, I called them for an update. He then apologized for not calling, because some personal issues. He then said it would probably only be a couple more days. But that he would for sure call me on Wed. the 26th to let me know either way. I never got a call (again) even to say that they were running behind. I called them on Thursday 27th because I wanted to know if we were going to be able to take our SUV on a family vacation to the beach that we had planned, since the rental car was needless to say incredibly smaller than our Honda Pilot. He then said that he was sorry, and had been, out sick. My thought was, Im sorry, but Im still not sure why no one has ever let me know for two weeks whats going on, so I can plan my life. When we finally picked up the car on Mon. Aug. 31st, but before I signed for picking up the car, I asked to look at the car first, just to look it over. I looked over the vehicle, and am glad that I did. I noticed that the wheel damage had been buffed, but still noticeably still damaged, and not completely buffed out. I also noticed that the hood didnt look like they had blended the paint. He then admitted that the wheel looked not finished, oh yea it doesnt look like its all the way buffed out. Ill have them finish that real quick. But the hood doesnt usually get blended because as the light reflects off, it usually will look slightly different with the color silver. While I was in the lobby waiting for them to actually finish the job that they had told me was done, I was thinking to myself, gosh you would at least think that in the LAST 2 WEEKS after they only buffed the wheel part way, they could have at least finished the job so I wouldnt be wasting more of my time because of terrible quality control.All said and done, I thought this was going to be a good body shop so I was alright with it when Nationwide asked me to take it here because it was a body shop they had a contract with. Needless to say, I was not impressed, and I really would never feel good recommending them to anyone who has a choice.
