This was the best haircut I’ve had in a while! I was nervous due to it being during the pandemic but everyone was masked, they check temperature at the door, the stylist wore gloves, and they kept capacity low. The stylist was super nice to talk too and she did a great job on my cut and style, especially for the price! The only problem was at no fault of the business, a crazy Karen came in demanding to have her appointment without a mask and she had also brought her dog, despite the no animal policy listed on the website. When they told her she would have to come back masked and without the dog, she cussed up a storm and I felt so bad for all the workers who, despite the fact that she didn’t deserve it, treated her with respect.

The whole shop has a great vibe about it! Kirby worked with me and she was amazing. I came in not knowing anything that I wanted other than I wanted to go from long to short hair. She talked me through some ideas and I ended up with a short hair cut for the first time ever and Im in love with it! 10/10 plan on going back.

All around, a fabulous experience. Skilled hair stylist who was willing to give me input. (I never know what I want to do and figure they’re the experts.) On time, funky colorful space, great price, and a free beer to boot. Definitely going back!

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They offer cold drinks on a hot day. My haircut came out great. I will definitely return.

My boyfriend planned out a scavenger hunt for me, as a birthday gift.One of my surprises was to come here to Bishops to get my hair cut, and colored. The staff was in on the surprise, and were great about going along with it. At the end of the appointment, one of the staff members gave me my next clue.. they were all so attentive, and sweet about the whole thing.The whole atmosphere in this place is great! Laid back, and fun.They make sure you feel happy and comfortable... Also, ask you if you need a refreshment.. water, soda or beer.My hairstylist Erin did an amazing job with my hair.. I’m a trans non-binary person & have had trouble in the past getting my hair cut the way I want at less LGBTQ+ friendly/inclusive salons. Sometimes hairstylists won’t quite listen to what I *want* done & will assume I want my hair a certain way based off of what they assume my gender to be. I came to Bishop’s for the first time last month, and was SO pleased with Jason’s work! They did an amazing job and listened to exactly how I wanted my hair cut. I haven’t been this happy with a haircut in a while and I have gotten so many compliments on how cute it is! Thank you Jason & Powell’s for an amazing experience. I will most definitely be back ❤️❤️❤️

Havent been here since it reopened with new owners. Looks like prices went up a bit but left with a good hair cut. I like that I can walk in with and get a cut without waiting. And a free beverage is nice too. I also like their choice in music. Every song was good.

Erin was so nice and understanding after I went back disliking my hair originally done by someone else. She made me feel comfortable and did an AMAZING JOB! If you are wanting to color your hair I highly recommend her.

I definitely would recommend Ann Alyce she cut my hair just the way I wanted it and bleached my dark hair almost to a white blonde and stayed 40 mins after close to make sure my hair turned out just right, friendly cool atmosphere! Schedule a appointment with Ann Alyce you won’t regret it

If I could this place would have 0 stars do not go here the staff are not skilled at touch ups. Your hair will fall out later. There used to be skilled stylists but now there all gone I decided to try them again with out the stylist that used to be there 2 weeks later my hair fell out now theres bald spot go else where if you love your hair.

I love how easy this place is to get a haircut. Checking in on line is a great way to go. Karrah has cut my hair on all my visits and she does an excellent job. After just a few visits, she remembers me and what I want my preferences are. The entire staff is very friendly and the Ice Blocks is a great new spot in Sacramento

Im someone who has always hated getting a haircut. Stopped in to try this new place out and it was great! Awesome atmosphere, and really inviting people. Kile made my experience pretty great and Im very happy with my cut. Not the cheapest place you can go but not overly expensive either. You definitely get the full treatment here for a good price. Kile gave my red hair the most exquisite highlights and very thorough haircut ever! The walkin flexibility matched with price was keeping me loyal to Bishops! (3 appointments and $150 each time) Mysteriously they are closed, no phone call backs, no response from Phoenix corporate, and no Kile. I don’t suppose I’ll ever know where he landed. If Bishops ever reopens, please bring Kile back!!

This whole complex is very handicap unfriendly! If you use a wheelchair or a Walker youre going to have problems getting around to any of the business located here! I dont know how this place passed its building inspections. Unless it was due to the builder keeping some of the old walls so it would fall under the old building remodel code.

So yall,I decided to try out a new salon...which is like, always super stressful. The same Hairstylist has been cutting my hair for YEARS, but I needed a cut so I figured Id go hit up Bishops.Its in the Ice Blocks and I remember when I lived down there the area was super rundown so I was intrigued to see whats up now.I went online to their website, booked myself a slot and had a great time. Isha did a wonderful job, gave me a style Ive never thought to have and I absolutely love it. So does my Mom, which means the cut is on point. Isha is my go to stylist from now on.The salon is clean, they have a great selection of product and most of all it was quick and reasonably priced. Oh, and theyre super LGBT friendly which is amazing.Theres parking right next to Philz Coffee that has plenty of spaces and you can pay with the app Parkmobile which makes it super easy.Give Bishops a try, and let them work their magic.

Will not respond to calls and online reservation system is disabled, cancelled my appointment twice with no notice. Their voicemail message refers to them being closed over a week ago, with no update since then.
