For years, while I lived in the Detroit area, Harry provided me with excellent opportunities to listen and enjoy music. He was always welcoming and provided a superb environment to learn about audio. He never balked at the opportunity to educate me, a very “young” audiophile. When I entered the shop the first time my system was composed of some equipment I now know to be falsely high end. When I left, I had heard what true quality audio can be. The intimate experience at Audio Dimensions is an essential part of the experience. You get to know the equipment, and the people. I have since moved away from the Detroit area, and have yet to find a shop like Audio Dimensions, where passion for music and the love of technology truly combine to make such an enriching experience. Harry did not hesitate to serve me, even though I had a meager budget. I most certainly walked away with a wonderful first true hi-if setup, and a life-long hobby. I will never forget my years of visiting Audio Dimensions. I am truly grateful for the opportunity. This review gushes. I rarely gush. No BS here. It is a great experience. Go there with an open mind and questions, and prepare to walk out enriched and ready for the next stage in your audiophile journey.

Great store operated by people who know their stuff. This store is for the serious audio addicts. Harry (the owner) honestly wants to share what he has learned over decades dealing with the best equipment you could ever hope to own. Very interesting person to talk to. Sure, he has his opinions but that is impossible to avoid because of personal preferences /bias. Rest assured, you will not find a better place to learn and listen. Great brands and great advise found here. My favorite audio store.

Audio Dimensions carries some of the highest end audio equipment available on the market. However, the owner, Harry Francis, is the most pretentious and condescending business person I have ever interacted with. I have never left a bad review of a business in my life, regardless of my opinion. I have always given them the benefit of the doubt that it was a bad day, or something of that nature. However, Mr. Francis talked down to me throughout the entire time that I was there. I asked him specific questions about the equipment that his colleague had showed me the previous weekend. In response, he told me that people like you always come in here thinking that they know everything about this stuff just from reading a spec sheet, people like you this, people like you that. He at times feigned politeness, saying, not that youre this way, but throughout the conversation is became abundantly clear that he couldnt stand me as a person and didnt want to sell to me.Furthermore, I was initially excited to give Mr. Francis my business. I was in the market for a pair of bookshelf speakers. My budget wasnt huge, but to the average person $200-600 for a pair of speakers is outrageous. To Mr. Francis this is peanuts, as he sells speakers that are in excess of $3500 per speaker. He told me that he only keeps cheap speakers like that around because he doesnt want people to think hes pretentious. Just saying that illustrates that he IS pretentious. And besides that, the pair of speakers is made by a British company that almost nobody in the US has even heard of (Mordaunt-Short).I told him that the pair was available online for $300 (his asking price was $500). I understand that the small audio/video stores are almost all but out of business, and since I wouldnt have been able to hear these speakers if it werent for his store, I was interested in negotiating with him. I was willing to pay $400 for the pair if hed throw in some speaker cable, but he wasnt even willing to take that. He offered to call the company and see if they were having any specials, and then call me back with more information. I said OK, but when he asked for my name, this is what he said:So what is it, Bob, Jim, Bill, James, Mike, John, Mark? While the equipment that is sold at Audio Dimensions is probably better than anything you will find elsewhere, and the know-how of the owner is broad, I would recommend letting this one go under.

Harry took the time to discuss your expectations, short and long term budget committent to high end audio. I have purchased from Harry of years. Not all components interact as well with some components as others. You missed a big opportunity to learn about what really can deliver/surpass your expectations, by wanting a deal....and forgetting what your ultimate needs would be. I takes years to accumulate what Harry can and will do for you. Before, you head to Best Buy for a Black Friday rip off .....go back to Audio Dimensions and say...Harry we got off on the wrong foot, Im both sorry and ready to listenDennis VanStee

I have been in audio dimensions many times. Harry Francis has been very good to me. He takes care of all of his customers at time of sale and after. He has a wealth of knowledge and explains it in understandable terms. His audio salon has very excellent equipment, which says that he stocks equipment of very high pedigree.I encourage all to poke their nose into his salon. When you go into his store give him the due respect to not just touch the equipment as many components of this caliber is very delicate.Ask him to show you the equipment and tell what you have in mind and how much you have to spend on audio gear. He will be only too happy to show what you want to see and allow you to listen to music. Without doubt, Harry will set you up with the proper equipment to give you a most musical experience once you purchase and set up in your house. If I had spare cash, I would think nothing of buying Audio Research electronics and VPI turntable from him. Would do so in a heartbeat.By all means ask him all the questions you need to help you make the best stereo buy decisions. He will help you select the best components in your price range. You can always ask him questions after the sale. I have always been pleased with everything that I have bought from him.Stephen H. Talk to him about Price; you will discover that it is a good value......if you value having your favorite musicians visit your home each time you spin a record. Also be sure to ask about the fantastic selection of Grado Phono Cartridges. Lot of value for your money.
