Among the three Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters (the other two are in downtown Rochester and downtown Detroit), this one is by far the nicest and newest one.I saw that they had crepes on the menu, and I had to try it. I ordered The Classic Crepe which came stuffed with strawberries, bananas, and vanilla ice cream. It was a good but messy combination. I did not like the choice of placement on a much smaller plate than what it should have been. The crepe was huge, and I liked the size of it. But the fact that it is on a plate that is smaller is where I was confused; it should not be hanging over the plate. The coffee shop should consider utilizing a more appropriately sized plate for their crepes.I enjoyed the Honey Cinnamon Latte; however, the honey flavoring was subtle. The cinnamon flavoring was by far the predominant one of the two flavors.

A really great craft coffee shop. Impeccable design, great customer service from the staff, and super good product. Clean, with a good selection. The downfall: again, will not serve coffee in anything reusable, which creates more waste in the environment. Kindness level makes you feel at home here and Id be happy to come back again. I had a pour over Uganda and its a great coffee.

They have the best pour over coffees in all the land. Since moving to Michigan they have become my go to place when I’m too lazy to make my own coffee and I’ve never had a bad one yet.

Decent overall spot open late for your dessert fix or coffee addiction. Cheesecake was really moist and delicious, try the banana Nutella. I also recommend the Michigan Cherry herbal tea phenomenal taste. I will say five bucks for a piece of cheesecake I dont know good if your mood to celebrate but.....

Live music, amazing coffee, and desserts. It was a great way to end Friday night with friends after dinner. I had a Panama pour over and a slice of baklava cheesecake both were wonderful! The staff was helpful and attentive. We will be visiting this location again!

Marley, Kyle, Megan were super friendly at the counter. Coffee was amazing! Overall this place has a wonderful vibe. Not as busy as some so it’s nice you don’t have to wait for seating when you get inside. 😊

Or, thats was what it was for us.Dessert Oasis has the perfect ambience for whatever youd like - a meeting spot, casual date, or maybe a study session. Delicious coffees, teas, handcrafted lattes, and tantalizing desserts are accompanied by live music and excellent service.

This was the first place that I decided to try doing work indoors since the onset of COVID, and they are doing an excellent job. Everything was very well spaced out, cleaned and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My Earl gray latte was delicious as was my little coffee cake. It’s great to know I have a place to safely switch up my remote working routine while enjoying some good treats and drinks!

I love this coffee shop. The drink are good and the service is even better. Staff always has a smile on there face and are down for friendly chit chat when its not too busy. Me and my girlfriend love to spend our afternoons here studying. They also have GREAT cheese cake and Gluten Free Cookies.

Great coffee. Great location. The only drawback is the limited outlets available around any of the more comfortable seating. Otherwise, very solid.

I love their Lates, they have a great selection of flavors to choose from.. crepes are always fresh.. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is that the ice cream had a very slight freezer burn taste.. I will be back...

After CDC eased guidelines for fully vaccinated people this coffee shop still makes you wear a mask, is still contact tracing, you get kicked out after one hour and you can’t use laptop after 6:00pm. My husband and I have been going to this place for years. We were supporting it during pandemic, but decided that we’d rather support a business where you won’t be dictated to do something that’s no longer necessary. It’s time to get back to normal! Clearly the owners choose to continue the agenda of fear and control. We are done and we will no longer support this business.

Stopped in for the first time yesterday, and was a bit confused. For a place called the “Dessert Oasis,” there was a decided lack of desserts. I saw just two cheesecakes in a tiny pastry case near the register. I saw another customer with a cookie but couldn’t find any additional pastry displays so I had no clue where he got it. All of the signage appeared related to coffee. I saw no signage related to desserts.Did I miss something, or is “Dessert Oasis” a bit misleading?

I used to love this place but lately, the employees have been slacking. I think they hired of a lot of young people who just don’t care.1) the music is always so loud. You’d think it’s a club.2) the bathrooms and tables are rarely cleaned .3) I ordered a croissants and asked them to be heated. They literally served it cold.Please go back to how it was.

Spacious, modern coffee shop. It has your standard amenities: WiFi, decent seating, big windows, and kind staff. They say they’re working on getting a loyalty punch card - gotta keep up with the Jones’s (Atomic & Bean and Leaf).My cappuccino was good (even made with almond milk which isn’t always the case). Bathrooms were clean but maybe needed a bit more attention to the decor. The music was soft and mostly instrumental which I greatly appreciate for studying so you don’t have to wear headphones if you don’t want to.The only awkward thing is if you’re seated on the bench on the north side of the restaurant, the way it’s raised makes the tables too short to comfortably work at your laptop or read with your book on the table. But easily fixed by switching to the chair.

Coffee was pretty good and the environment is a chill place to sip some coffee and relax. Their muffins are absolutely fantastic!! One odd thing is that one staff member with a mullet texted the whole time while the other staff member made everything for us. Not sure if she was in training but it was a bit odd. All in all a good shop to visit while in town.

We had both the In-house batch coffee and a specialty coffee plus their cheesecake which was amazing. Has a great vibe, decent prices plus you can buy some merch. Oh and they roast and source their own coffee which makes it even better!

Really cool set up/ambiance! Has a bit more posch feel to it than your average cafe. I really like that you can see into the whole barista area and watch them make your drinks/foods. Theyre home-made cheese cake selection is extensive/

They make their own syrups. I had French vanilla in an iced coffee and it was great. They also have soy, coconut, and almond milk. The vegan desserts are delicious. I tried the chocolate one and carrot cake.

The new location for this industrial atmosphere is actually a warm and inviting place to do work and have a cup of coffee. The staff is very knowledgeable about the coffee itself and very friendly! The coffee itself is pretty phenomenal and has good flavor tones and can actually and accuratey point them out.

Aside from head banging music choice(every time I recommend someone to Dessert Oasis they always talk about the music choice being terrible), the coffee shop is pretty great. Drinks and snacks are good quality.

Great place to have some fine brewed coffee, deserts and study for college students. The place also has live music which for the most part is nice to listen while enjoying some treats but can also be distracting for students and those that are looking for an intimate setting for a date. That being said however, I have never had a bad experience here the staff is always quick to serve and pleasant. The parking of course in Royal Oak has gotten better and its just a quick walk from any of the parking garages near the venue. Definitely try the cappucino if you are a first time visitor.

I wanted to give a quick shout out for the employees handling a disgruntled customer who refused to order unless she could wear a mask yesterday. They have a sign on their door that customers wont be served without a mask and they offer curbside as an alternative. The woman obviously wanted to try to complain to get her way and make a statement and the employees stayed polite and calm, yet firm. Keep being kind yet strong in these trying times!

Good atmosphere, nice people, delicious pastries with a good vegan selection. The coffee is okay, not the biggest fan of their espresso but I keep coming back for all the other reasons listed and get some black coffee or a holiday drink in the fall.

The coffee is seriously very good. I just got a house coffee black when I was there for Coffee House Coders in Exile. A great group of people that get together Wednesday evenings from 7-9 pm. If you like good coffee and coding this is a great regular spot.

Great place. Vibe is good. I went to this place on Saturday night and its good that they are open till Midnight . They had a small area for live music performances . There has a performance around 10pm which was a surprising part for a cafe . Coffee was good and they had multiple dessert options too. Much recommended if you are in a search of a go to coffee place with friends or alone.

The cheesecakes are amazing (&they are extremely decent portions, not those so-skinny-it-can-barely-stand slices most restaurants dole out)the other pastries &goodies looked delicious as wellthey have an extensive hot &cold drink menu, but not overwhelmingly so. My latte was incredible &my daughters hot chocolate had a distinct mellowness thats become a new holiday favorite for her.The relaxed atmosphere and courteous employees make the experience there that much more enjoyable

I enjoy this cafe— good coffee, great kombucha— but am disappointed that on a 75 degree sunny morning in the midst of Covid they don’t have their front window facade open. Despite politely asking that it be opened for health purposes (the entire reason I chose this as the first cafe to visit after the state’s reopening) the front windows remained closed. I would have happily been a regular here while working remotely, but I won’t be returning after this morning.

Always friendly and the coffee is delicious. And it is decorated so well. Great place to sit and chat with friends or get a quick coffee to go. I recommend the vanilla latte! Mmmm

I first walked in to this place on a Wednesday night witch is open mic night. It was probably one of the best Open Mic nights Ive ever experienced. Im in love with this Cafe! The cappuccino is spot-on, the way they design it, beautiful. The cheesecake here is made in-house, and hands down best cheesecake Ive ever had. This is way better than Cheesecake Factory cheesecake, Ive also homemade my own, and Ive had many homemade cheesecakes. This by far takes the lead. I highly recommend you come study or relax in here.

Love this place. The employees are so kind and the atmosphere is very chill and relaxing. I am obsessed with the Kerouac drink here. If I could buy this by the gallon I would. They also have open mic nights on certain days which is a win win. They have locations in Rochester Hills and Detroit too!

Good place for coffee

Yumm-o! The experience was heavenly as I was served a crepe fit for God himself. I found the ambiance to be very charming. Try out the huge selection of incredible deserts. I was happy to see how clean everything was. Overall experience: 5 stars.

I feel like this place still hasnt figured out exactly what it is. The live music is cool, but not ideal for those doing work. Delicious cookies and fair prices, but the seats could be more comfortable. Ill still come back and give it a try in a few months when its more settled in!

I really love the atmosphere of the place and the coffee is really good. My main compliant is that there are very outlets available, which makes it very difficult to come in a get work done. It wouldnt even be that hard to fix, just add outlets to the black benches in the front. I just want to be able to come in and plug my computer in. Other than that, this place is worth checking out.

Enjoyed the vibe here. Very relaxing place to enjoy a cup a tea and cheesecake. If you got some work to do I recommend this shop.

More of a meeting space than just a coffee shop. A place to relax. I was there for open mic. It was fun.

Muffins are dry and dense and not to my liking. The spinach quiche had no spinach and was microwaved, so had soggy pastry. Coffee was way too bitter. Looked like they had some decent cakes, and had some crepes available to order. Great space, and location. They’ll struggle to match quality of coffee available at Atomic a few doors away. I don’t see how they’ll last beyond 6-12 months with the competition so close. If you want great coffee and great snacks, Red Hook of Ferndale is better suited.

I ordered a latte with soy milk and it was so good, I almost forgot I ordered soy milk. Sometimes milk alternatives can taste burnt if not done well but this place did it so well! Its a fairly large space, right off main St and is very modern.

I love the atmosphere, the staff is really awesome, and of course the coffee, tea, and cheesecake are all amazing. Ive been a patron of this company since they were a small cozy coffee shop in downtown Rochester run by a husband and wife and their two young children, and its been amazing to see what its grown into with three locations now, and the quality and service have both remained amazing.

A bit pricey but coffee is great and so are the baked goods. Love that they have vegan options! Nice, modern atmosphere too.
