I recently purchased a new Ford Explore, at RoyalOakFord dealership. The sales person Tommy White was fantastic. I enjoyed my experience from custom ordering my Explore to taking ownership. My salesperson Tommy kept me updated regarding where my SUV was in the ordering process. Once the vehicle arrived at Royal Oak Ford, he was thorough and patient with explaining all the features, in a high tech SUV, to someone who had not purchased a new car in over 15 years. I needed to call Tommy afterwards for more assistance and he and Royal Oak Ford were very accommodating.Thirty years ago,, when I started my professional career, I purchased my first car from Royal Oak Ford. Since then, I have purchased several vehicles from ROF and I am so happy I returned to purchase my retirement vehicle. 😀

I had an appointment scheduled for June 15,2021 for which I dropped my vehicle off at 7 AM for the following services, an oil change and to try to diagnose an issue i was having that could have been a loose belt or a clutch issue. I received a call at 6PM that the oil change was done, but they were unable to diagnose the other issue, can they keep it overnight. They kept over night, i get a call at 6 PM June 16 saying belt is fine, cant find an issue. I ask if they drove the car to see what it is doing and receive a no response. I say you need to drive it to diagnose the problem and I have to come in to take service manager and tech for a ride for them to diagnose in 15 minutes that it is the clutch. I ask for a quote and do not receive a call with the quote, in fact, I have to call 5 days later to get the quote. Quote was high, so i took the car to another service provider and their quote for the same work and part is $1,500 less. It felt like RO Ford did not want to work on the car and I have been taking this car to them for service since I bought it from them. It is unfortunate that this is how customers are treated as I felt the service rep was not interested in communicating in a timely fashion.I will provide a similar review regarding communication on my other vehicle I brought in in July for service.

Another great experience. My lease was up and Tommy White did a great job again! I knew what vehicle I wanted but I hemmed and hawed on the color. The one I thought I wanted could not be found locally. Tommy kept looking and was going to get it from an Ohio dealer then overnight as I looked at videos online of the colors I changed my mind. I felt so bad after all of his efforts but Tommy was so nice and understanding. He found the new color that morning and I was in my new car (which I love BTW) that afternoon. Pleasant, easy experience with all staff. I highly recommend Royal Oak Ford!

I thought the dealership looked very professional and was very nice, until after a week of my purchase I had to take it in for repair because there was smoke coming through the vents. Now dont get me wrong, as is is as is, but that was dirty. I wish my experience was better because I was going to buy the jeep no matter what.

Most unprofessional dealership I have dealt with in 40 years of buying vehicles. My company paid for the lease on a Ford Escape. The staff was pushy and obviously self serving. When I returned the vehicle at the end of the lease, we conducted a walk around and I was told that there may be a charge for the chip in the windshield. I told them that my insurance would cover it but they said a final determination would be mailed to me. I didnt hear anything for 90 days when I got a credit alert stating that they had sent me to collections for almost 500.00. Every time I try to reach them I get the runaround. Avoid at all costs.

Purchased my 2018 Mustang GT from Royal Oak Ford in March, 2018. The sales experience was smooth. However, their service department is what Im most impressed with. I had my first oil change a few weeks ago and they were very quick. I also took the car in due to an issue with my active exhaust selection. I dropped the car off at 7am and they were able to fix the issue while I was at work allowing me to pick the car up at 4pm. Great experience.

What a disaster. The air conditioner needed repair and probably replacement. I already had one quote from elsewhere and decided to take to dealership where I assumed they service and qualify was going to be excellent.Made an appointment (first thing in the AM) when they opened, dropped the car off and ubered backhome.Did not hear back from dealership all day so I called towards the end of the day and they said the car had not been looked at yet - they were very busy and were not sure on when the car could be addressed or returned.I ubered back up there and hand to take the car back and go to another repair show who could afford to give me the time of day.The arrogance and tone of these guys make me feel like Im doing them a favor by using their so-called service.What a joke! Will never return there ever again.Mark

They wanted $800 to drop the headliner so they could TEST the tire monitor module. It turned out that all that was required was to clear an error code. I dont know whether these guys are incompetent, dishonest or both. Stay away.

A used car is a used car and its always risky when buying one, so you should always get the extended warranty. The sales people generally have no real idea whats going to breakdown or not. But I want to express my appreciation to my salesperson Joe Cicala for representing himself in a professional manor. Thats all you can really ask for from the salespeople, after all usually their not mechanics. My experience at Royal Oak Ford was as pleasant as buying a used can be expected to be. Usually at a used car lot the salesperson has you pinned up against the wall going through your pockets, but not Joe Cicala. He let me decide on the car I chose after all it was my decision, right ot wrong only time will tell. The experience at Royal Oak Ford I had was good, so happy used car shopping.
I can highly recommend Royal Oak Ford. I have never worked with a more straight forward car dealership before. My son had his heart set on a Mustang Royal Oak Ford had advertised and even though we are from New York, we decided to take the trip to purchase the car. After speaking with Gina, the online salesperson for a very long time I felt pretty comfortable to go to buy the car unseen. She referred me to Jacob, the in house salesperson to continue the process. Jacob was very helpful with all the questions and worries I had. We did all the paperwork thru e-mail, sent a deposit and on day of pick-up we pretty much where in and out within an hour. If anybody dreads purchasing a car, Royal Oak Ford is definitely the place to go to for stress free purchasing.

Was looking into ordering a vehicle so I emailed a few Ford dealers. Dean Sellers and Avis (nearby competitors) both emailed back with answers to my questions within a few hours.Nick and Mike from their sales team refused to answer my questions unless I stopped to call them. Not a crazy request, but foreshadows the fact that to do business with them, I need to work the way they want me to work with them rather than them serving clients in the manner the client wants to be served.It was a gentle reminder of why car dealerships often have terrible reputations and a firm warning to avoid Royal Oak Ford if you think their job is to help you as the client. They seem to think it’s your job to do what they want you to do in order to give them your money.
As always, my experience at Royal Oak Ford has always been PERFECT since I have been going there since 2008. Im treated as if I were their favorite customer and Im sure they treat all their customers the same. My appointments are always on time. I love it when my car is washed. The service department answers all my questions and take the time to come look at things I dont understand inside the vehicle. They are just a nice group of people. I have a Ford dealer two blocks from me but when I need something pretaining to my vehicle, I drive the 15 miles to check with Royal Oak Ford. Thanks!

My husband took his car in about three weeks ago for an inspection and oil change. The woman at the front desk (Lisa I think) wrote his information down on a piece of paper instead of putting it in the computer and proceeded to ask him if he knows that they don’t take cash here —implying that he wouldn’t have a credit card. She also proceeded to question whether he really owned his car. This morning he went back again for a different issue and was greeted by this same woman. She claimed that he didn’t have a warranty on his car saying that she couldn’t find the VIN number. Overall, it was a really negative experience and we will not be returning after the car is fixed. We strongly believe that her actions were racially motivated.

I thought it was nice when they told me that they’d give me a free car wash after repairs. I went to pick the car up the next day. After waiting 15 min the lady says “oh do you want the car wash?”. Yeah, I wanted the car wash while you’ve had my car, not when I’m sitting here to pick it up. Silly thing to offer if you don’t follow through
Kept brushing me off when I kept telling them my gas was running out fast and they said I didnt need a new tank which was a recall..engin e light came on and the letter I got said the part that my Ford focus needs will be available 2019 for my tank the reason my gas was running out fast. Ford wanted to charge me $120 to check my engine light. Guess what! Took it to another Ford that did it for free and guess what.. I Do Need a new tank. Which I kept telling them all along. So when the part become available this year..the other Ford dealership will take care of me. They couldnt believe I was being taken advantage of. I have all my proofs .. either because I am a woman or black. Dont know.. I knew I was not crazy. They did not perform anyting on my tank because the parts that they need for it has not even been out yet issued out. so because my engine light came on like the letter said to keep my tank on half and to the part that I need for it come out in 2019 so they want to charge me a hundred and something dollars just to see why my light is on when thats the reason why my light is on because when I took my car to the other Force dealership they told me everything thats in that letter is whats wrong with my car after they performed the engine check
Leased a vehicle in June in 2019. First experience at the service department not good.Today I called about my first oil change which I was told my oil changes would be free. No one seen to see anything in the computer about my extended warranty or anything about a free oil change. When I got home from work I looked over my contract that stated extended warranty and something about Triple Care I really have been disappointed with this dearer ship. They fast talk you when signing your contract. When my lease is up I’m going back to Chevy. I work too hard for my money and to deal with unprofessional people.Well let me say this, a very kind gentleman by the name of Mark ( service manager) addressed my concerns regarding the email above. Mark addressed all my concerns, answered all my questions. I was pleased that someone took the time to even make an effort to do this. I would like to thank Mark and Sarah (cashier) who also show me great customer service. Thank you for making a believer in Ford.

The salesman that I talked to was very considerate until I told him that I lived in Ohio and the estimated payments jumped $300 dollars a month. Subsequently, this is not a way to treat a military veteran. I thought Ford was a supporter of the military. This is my personal opinion.
So, I was a longtime customer at Dean Sellers, where I purchased my 2013 Ford Escape in 2012. They made a lot of $$$ on me as I always use the dealership for my services. Then, they screwed me royally, basically admitted it, but wouldnt make it right. So, that led me to Royal Oak Ford. Wow! What a great dealership with people who actually care about your experience. My introduction was Sandy in service, and in my many, many years of owning vehicles, she is in a class by herself! Professional but sweet and as accommodating as you could ever hope. Then I needed to work with an advisor named George, who also could not be a nicer guy and knowledgable as you will need. This is not one of those gigantic dealerships with a massive lot and all the red tape that comes with them. It seems to be more family friendly, laid back, but efficient as hell. Thank you to all the great staff at Royal Oak Ford, and whomever owns the place, I hope you realize what a great group of people you have working for you!
