Great Experience. Staff went over and beyond to get me driving that car out and leaving my old one there. Very reasonable prices for good quality. When it comes to used vehicles, if the price is too good then it is and you dont have to worry about that here. Good fair prices based on each independent vehicle and its history.No one likes surprises and none here. I went to all the big dealers in and around Wayne county and surrounding counties .I literally went to all Chevy dealers around, all the big names you see on those license plate frame. Glad I chose this one will never forget next time I or someone I know needs a vehicle.Good website too, stock was accurate and photos too.
The experience was very iffy. I originally contacted the dealership via the website so that I could reserve a spot to check out a used car since I work all week other than Thursday and Friday. Originally Micheal was helping me and he was very nice, then it was Tyrone and he contacted me very accordingly to make sure I was helped. But they called more than 3-4 times a day for almost 5 days straight as early as 8am which was a bit excessive. And even after I asked to put in a reserve on a car, the question was ignored and it never got put in and I lost the chance to buy it because of that. Sales Associate was amazing and nice but they call way too much after telling them to not do so, and ignored my request to reserve it even though that’s what the website said I could do.
Experience was perfect. My husband and I used to go to Suburban in Ferndale since that is where we live but the Customer Service there just lacked. Oil changes were promised to be done in less than an hour but usually took well over 2 and they usually forgot to do the tire rotation. At Matthews-Hargreaves, it was great. In and out in less than an hour. Lobby was comfortable. Checkout was quick. This is now our new service center. Thank you.

Service was fine but oil change price was astronomically higher than other dealers. Only reason I tried this dealer was because they were the only one that had an appointment. I will not return to this dealer until their prices are in line with other dealers. My oil change did not include a tire rotation either. Other dealership o had gone to included tire rotation. Also would never consider buying a car here because if their service prices are that high why would their vehicle prices be better compared to the competition.
Courteous, friendly and professional. My only negative comment is that an oil change, tire rotation and wheel alignment should not take 3 hours. I drive “past” one other dealership to come to your dealership.
Dropped off the car on Thursday, mid afternoon (via appointment). Understand that it might not be looked at on Thursday, but no call on Friday, no call on Saturday. We had to call Monday to find out whats going on. Car was finished Monday afternoon.The cost, wow just wow! The wiper fluid reservoir was cracked and had to be replaced, and we understood that it was more involved than we thought, but really? Over $600?This is exactly why people do not take cars to the dealers. We believe (and will be checking) that all warranties are expired so we will look for a dependable, reasonably priced mechanic. Sorry.

My new 2021 Colorado had a water leak. I took the vehicle in 4 times. On the 3rd trip I was told that they could not fix what they could not find and that I should shut my door harder. I had to get the GM executive office involved. I just dont understand why I had to initiate all the conversation and do the research on the issue. There are several forums on the internet about this issue going back over a decade which I did tell my service writer. The dealership has access to more technical information than me. I just cant understand their lack of concern and desire to investigate the issue and correct the problem. My vehicle was in the shop for almost 5 weeks. In that time I did not hear from the dealership once with an update. I find it hard to believe it took that long to find the issue. I did not receive any paperwork when I picked up my vehicle. I was told it would be jailed to me. I waited a week to receive it and finally had to go back and ask for it. I am so sorry I ever bought the vehicle. It has not been a very good experience.

One of the worst car buying, educational experinces of my life.Withheld information on dealership accesories, after signing the contract.GM financial deserves some blame too.Definitely wont come here in future.My GM experience is making used car dealers look like saints.They waste your time and keep you there forever to fatigue so make ill advised decisions.They video record you in financing to cover themselves and blame you after signing the contracts for dealership accessories.The salesman at George Matick,Al Serra in southfield and sterling heights were all honest with me excepts these people.Complete bait and switch.

I have a leased 2020 Equinox with just over 12,000 miles. I made an appointment for an oil change and told the service rep there was noise coming from the left front of the car. I asked if it could be checked at the appointment and was told it could.On the day of the appointment, I again told the service rep about the sound coming from the left front of the vehicle. This was especially after she told me that a wheel alignment was needed, along with the oil change, at a cost of about $300! This was based on sensors in the floor upon entering the service area which indicated uneven tire wear. She said the wheel alignment would also probably take care of of the sound. The repair detail indicates the service tech did an inspection of the steering and suspension system but did not note anything. The sound was still coming from the left front of the vehicle after this service.To make a long story short, I took the car to another dealership because of the continuing sound, and I was given a loaner car as I have no other means of transportation. This dealership inspected the car based on my information and found a defective ball joint on the left front of the car. This is part of the steering and suspension system supposedly inspected at Matthews-Hargreaves.The part was replaced and another wheel alignment had to be done. This was all a covered warranty repair!!I have since learned that a bad ball joint causes uneven tire wear (hello! wheel alignment). If left unrepaired, it can result in loss of control and a possible accident!I requested reimbursement from Matthews-Hargreaves for the wheel alignment/wheel balance that should have been part of a covered warranty repair. Service management hasnt been responsive so far.Since I cant give a no star review, one star is for the oil change.
My rep who walk me through everything was pleasant, he kept me updated and made sure I was getting the correct things service for my car and even got me a lower price than quoted. He a great service rep made the whole process smooth. I wish I knew his name but he sit at desk 2 from the waiting room door. My recent visit the same with holly sinta I hope I spelled her name correct it’s all a great experience.

Jake Lewis was great! He was easy to talk to and got me into a brand new 2022 from my 2005! He made the process smooth and easy to follow. Even though we hit a few hiccups, Jake did a great job of making sure everything was resolved and always kept in touch!
Mike was truly an amazing sales man. He gave me all my options and helped me weigh all of them to truly decide my way to go. Everyone here is very kind. Even when I took my car in to have some service things done every was very kind and took care of everything in a timely manner. I am really bad with names but even the man that drove the shuttle bus to take me home was very kind.
Jake was so nice and helpful! He Wasnt like his other Co workers that were pushy and sleazy. You could tell they didnt care and only wanted to make their commission. Jake made me feel comfortable and joked with me through a stressful time I really appreciated that! I will definitely be coming back and telling my friends and family to go through Jake! I would give this a five star if it wasnt for the first man I talked to.

My experience at Matthews-Hargreaves was exceptional. I had my first oil change and checkup on my new vehicle and the team completed within 45 minutes. They followed all COVID-19 protocols, were extremely friendly and professional from checking in with the Service representative through checkout at the receptionist who took care of providing my receipt.
Came in for a number of service items. Service was quickly done. I asked about some services that were, after a review, not required. I bought this car 5 years ago and have been happy with the service Ive received ant Matthews-Hargreaves Chevrolet.
Run and run far! I have leased five cars between 3 people from this dealership there is always paperwork mistakes. Car comes up in the system under a name that isnt even on the paperwork had to go to the SOS to fix an error they made plus numerous other issues. As for service, never in my life have I felt so taken advantage of. I took my car in because the heat wasnt working they verified all the information was correct in their system for contact purposes because again people not on my lease were getting the phone calls about my car. Everything was right was told to expect a survey, I didnt receive it someone else did. And my heat still doesnt work right but I refuse to take it back because every time I do I get another bogus reason it could be not working, basically trying to put it all on user error. Ill live with it and make sure I have a blanket in the car. Ill have my GM engineer family member help me look at it.Update: Took the car to a different dealership and they were able to fix the problem within 3 hours, including an oil change, tire rotation, and multipoint inspection.

We were not sure why the engine light was coming on, but they determined there was a small hole in the exhaust system that caused the system to want to run too lean, or something. This in turn caused a problem with an oxygen sensor. Both problems were fixed the first day. We mentioned that there was a slow leak (flat in 1.5 weeks) in one tire, and they inspected it. There was an object going through it, which they removed and repaired. The repair on the tire proved to be faulty, so they repaired it for free. They even tested the patch job and showed me the leak on the spot. Its nice to know that when they make a mistake, they will own up to it and take care of it. I think that is the only mistake we have had in 5 years of service on this vehicle.
I wasnt sure if I was going to purchase the vehicle I inquired about. But, when I received the video that showed me the details of the vehicle like keyless entry, keyless ignition, the dashboard, the true model number, the actual color and the keyless trunk, I was sold!😁😁😁 I immediately said to myself and all my friends and family who viewed the video, Now thats how youre supposed to sell a car! LOL 👍👍👍

My vehicle was there Sept 15 thru Oct 13 for an estimated 3 day service. No one would return my calls. I called customer service to complain and they did nothing to satisfy me as a customer. My invoice was incorrect when I arrived to pay and pick up vehicle.
It is ridiculous that Matthew Hargreaves charges $90.00 for an oil change. I would not recommend any one there. That is the last time will get oil change there. I called Hamilton Chevrolet and Genesis Chevrolet and they both charge $54.99.
Bought a used car here almost a year ago. Everyone was friendly but I felt very rushed with it being the last day of the month to decide to buy. We ended up making the purchase because it was a good deal.Come to find out, the techs/mechanics straight up lied on the carfax report stating an alignment had been done but it very obviously had not. The replaced the brake pads but not the rusted and worn down rotors. Needless to say, I had to put a bit of money into it after purchasing. Still a good deal, but if they will lie about something as simple as that, what else are they scamming people on?

Good deal on the right used vehicle. The staff an salesman was very nice an kind hearted. Only thing was I bought my car outright on a Friday an wasn’t able to get it till the following Friday, upon pick up my car was on a half of tank which every car I’ve bought in the past came with a full tank an my low oil light was on. My car looked like it was rushed getting detailed there was crumbs an a mess everywhere under the seat an cup holders etc. I had to spend about 1-2 hours cleaning an vacuuming it out myself.
Robbie did a great job helping us to find a vehicle during these challenging times and we feel like we got a great deal.
We returned to Matthews Hargreaves for a second vehicle because of the customer care we received the first time. Mike Damico did a great job not only finding the perfect vehicle for us, but also made it a stress free and truly enjoyable experience. We will be back for our next vehicle as well.

Pleasantly surprised. The service was done in a timely fashion. Instead of presenting the needs of future work without transparency I was given a list of the work that needed to be done and costs. The air conditioner has worked much better since too. Prior to me purchasing this vehicle I had come to this dealership and felt as though I was strong armed with an unnecessary credit check which caused my preapproved financing rate to be increased. I had frowned on going back but because they were the only one that had an appointment within the week I opted to go to have an oil change and routine maintenance and was pleasantly surprised.

Matthews-Hargreaves has been a staple in southeast MI for as long as I can remember. Having worked in Buick dealers in the Metro Detroit area, I am weary of the average dealer experience. Honestly, my experience with MH was anything but. My sales person Tyler and others found me a vehicle and plan, and trade for my vehicle that I was comfortable with. Tyler also made a point of staying in communication incase I had any concerns. I am a huge advocate for communication. I would also like to mention that I had a great conversation with the finance gentleman. Its nice to know that people can be human and not get lost in the numbers. I waited 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. It normally takes 20 mins. I wasnt told in the beginning it would take this long or that they were shorthanded. Im disbetic and my blood sugar got REALLY LOW it was lunchtime. I kept being told to wait. And wait. I got really dizzy. If i was told in the beginning it was going to take that long i would have re scheduled. This wasnt being honest with a customer. I will hesatate before coming to your place again.

Google review;If I could give this place negative stars I would! I brought my car up here for service (thinking I would get similar service I received from Ed Rinke) and was overcharged for a diagnostic test! I was told it would be $390 but that would be put towards repairs. When Brendan called with the results he said it would be $7000 to repair & he wouldnt be able to fix anything for the $390! My step dad called in just to see how much a diagnostic test was & he was told $130 dollars! I guess the guy felt bad and took it down to $300. Not only did they rip me off, they took advantage simply because Im a young woman! I will be sure to let my friends & family know to NEVER go to this dealership!!! I will also post the faulty print out they gave me as a receipt/proof! Don’t go there 💯

A bit under an hour snd Eric came for me. This was the first and quickest time I’ve experienced. Robbie had the car prepped and ready for me within a couple hours with all the new details I could ask for as well as pre communicating all the details with me and didn’t change any terms from our original plan. I elected for an extended warranty since I bought used which made me very comfortable with my new purchase. I will not be going anywhere else to buy a car except Mathew’s with Robbie!

Mike Damico was great. Overall good experience. There was a stumble with my credit app. Turned out fine. Then, Mike ended up having to wash the truck himself after the service folks plowed thru a puddle & splashed it dirty. I’m sure wasn’t intentional, however it did waste my time, and Mike’s.(This was the very rainy Friday 8/27)Then when I came into have my running boards installed (9/2) the paperwork wasn’t in place to install them. Mary the Service person had to wait for Mike to sort out.Once sorted out they were installed in about 90 mins. The truck coulda used a wash after. I’m a GM employee so I take this seriously. I will recommend this dealership.Thank you.
I have leased/bought 3 or 4 cars from MH. Brittney was by far the easiest salesperson to work with. She wasnt pushy, she respected our timeline, and she was extremely transparent when we discussed our options. We couldnt be more excited about our new vehicle and we are very appreciative.
I had requested for oil change and tire rotation but the tire rotation wasnt completed. I happened to see this because I was on the phone and standing outside. I asked the mechanic when he brought the vehicle back and he told me the tires were rotated. I asked another mechanic before leaving and he goes Im sure they were rotated, when I told him what happened he goes and checks with the other mechanic and comes back with the Tread measurement gauge and measures and tells me that we felt that it wasnt necessary because they are showing the same depth and we can rotate it next time when you come, if that is the the case then it should have been mentioned in the receipt but GM was billed for tire rotation. The main reason I wanted to get the tire rotation was to get even wear because it was past 8000 miles.After the car was brought back the service person never bothered to give the paperwork to the cashier, he was on the phone all along and I was waiting for 20 minutes at least. The cashier knew that I was waiting for a long time and she got frustrated with the service desk person and had to go to his desk and get the paperwork.Not happy with the sales people either, go a bill from GM Financial which was supposed to be covered under my $500 voucher, had to leave several messages with the sales person and his manager before it was resolved.
I was greeted immediately and pleasantly by the service staff. Richard Ransome was the member who helped me with my cars issues; he was friendly, engaging, and very prompt with communication. Richard and the mechanics team diagnosed my cars problems quickly and provided me with a list of the issues and their associated costs to repair, which was extremely helpful. The entire experience was very smooth and made me feel good about bringing my 2016 Equinox to Matthews-Hargreaves Chevrolet.

Horrible customer service. I received a call from this dealership and scheduled an appointment to come like at a specific car. I drove over an hour to come look at said car. When I arrived they told me that the car was sold two days prior and I was not informed. The sales representative that I was talking to was very unprofessional and unprepared to cell me a vehicle. I left and went to the Shelton dealership in Rochester Hills where I received excellent customer service. I bought a vehicle from them that day and have been very pleased with how they choose to do business.

I lost my keys and my phone was bout to die. I’m paying 350 for new key so why is it so hard to get a charger for my phone at a dealership. I asked someone an he’s like no. I said what is your name and he wouldn’t give it to me. I had to yell and be unreasonable to get a charger when I’m a paying customer. I’ve been treated better places and spent no money!!!!!

So glad I got up and left, when I did and I went to a different dealership and got what I wanted.The employees are only out for themselves and they had some harsh words towards me. His knowledge of not only the vehicles we were looking at but the overall process (including changes that were made to the GM friends and family discounts as well as the MyChevy/OnStar rewards) of leasing this car were exceptional.
I began shopping around a month ago exclusively online because face it the dealership experience can be overwhelming. I could tell you it was easier but thats not true. Worst experience my husband brought his car to change lightbulb last time they charged $170 and yesterday they charged $405 how do you charge doble the price for the same job you did 2month ago, the price is ridiculous and on top of that they did something to the hood that is not closing and they want to blame on us that it was like that when we brought it to them and obviously wasn’t, the was yesterday and my husband called and they say to bring it back then he brings it this morning and they say they can’t do nothing, The guy that did the job didn’t wanna come outside to talk to my husband thats a horrible place to go to.

We just replaced our AC unit under warranty (few months back) and you charge my wife for Coolant Flush telling here thats whats needed at 50k miles. You changed the AC unit you should have known we didnt need it. Go in for an oil change come out with unnecessary charges.
I was glad that I was able to get a “next day” appointment when I spoke with Sean (service engine soon light). When I brought the vehicle in, it was suggested that I needed several things, including a new manifold. It was appreciated that you gave me a complimentary loaner vehicle since my vehicle was there for 5 days (including a weekend).
The people were very nice and kept me informed about what was going on with my car. They did fix the problem that was on there computer when the code was read.
The team did a great job at calming my wife down (she was driving the vehicle home from work when the problem started), making sure she had a ride home, and found and repaired the issue very quickly.
I told my sales consultant I would not buy my truck unless it got an alignment as the steering wheel was crooked. I was told I would be called to schedule a time at my convenience. Its been WEEKS! Luckily I work at a repair facility and had one of my guys do it though I should not have had to. Also called the day I purchased it that I left my garage clicker in my trade in and no one took care of that either. Got my money and ran is what you did.Only reason they are getting a two star is for the overall value of the vehicle purchased for the price.

I arrived at this dealership after having a bad experience at Genesis Chevrolet. I walked in and immediately met my salesperson Brittany who listened to my needs and got right to work locating a vehicle for me. Although she was going to be out of office the next day, she made me aware of her schedule and that she would take care of me. Within a week, she had located my vehicle, in the color of my choice, had it transferred to her dealership and got the financing I needed for my LLC. Service returned the vehicle in non-operational, non-safe condition the first time servicing. Service did not provide details about the fix. Service made claims about the vehicle performance prior to service which were not accurate. Service charged for warranty parts which were already replaced.
Updated: The dealer fixed my issue at no cost to me. I’m glad that it only took 2 working days, and the rental was free, but still disappointing that I had to go in twice for 1 fix. Upgraded from 1 to 4 stars.My car’s emissions code was fixed on Monday and Ive been driving on electric miles since then. Today (Thursday), the CEL came back after driving on gasoline for a few minutes. Its clear that after replacing the broken part, whoever worked on my car did not drive the car on gasoline and only drove on electric miles when doing a drive cycle - and did not verify that the code didnt return.Ive had very positive experiences with Matt Hargreaves service department before, but its disappointing that my car still has the CEL.
Great overall support and service from my sales rep. Everyone was really nice and accommodating Im getting me what I and my family needed and wanted. We will definitely be returning again!
