I recently brought my car in to get a pan saver replaced, exhaust leak, and got a oil change. I forgot the mans name at the front desk but he was so friendly and made it overall such a great experience. He explained everything that was being done to my car and even broke down the cost of everything. I was told by another mechanic that my engine mount needed to be fixed, this place told me nothing was wrong with it! They aren’t just in it for the money, they genuinely want to help fix your cars. After this experience I am definitely going to bring my car here from now on!!

I called this morning for an oil change and they were able to get me right in. Jake the manager was great, told me what to expect, and said it wouldnt be long. I swear in about 30 mins the technician, George, was already backing my car out saying we were good to go. George even told me a few pointers on the newer cars to watch out for, but said the car looked great and he didnt see any other problems. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely be back! So happy we found Mr. Muffler and Jake!!! I am here from Boston visiting family and shortly after I arrived, I noticed (heard) what I assumed was a detached/broken muffler dragging on the ground. I had it towed to Mr. Muffler on the advice of a friend, fully expecting to pay hundreds of dollars for an Audi approved replacement. Note: I would’ve paid it without question. The team at Mr. Muffler charged us $0 — all that needed replacing were two rusted out screws, extra of which they had lying around, and they refused to charge us a dime. Not. A. Single. Cent. As a woman, I’m sure I don’t need to tell anyone how rare that is!! All this to say, don’t hesitate bringing your car here- you couldn’t be in better hands. Most professional and friendly front desk/manager Ive dealt with in a very long time! Muffler was dragging and Jacob had a bracket for an Audi just lying around, so he put it on AT NO CHARGE!! We had never been there before, but this is our new auto repair!!

The staff member who looked at my car put my car up and showed me what the issue was, how he identified the issue, a risk assessment on what the issue meant for the functionality of my car, an estimate of the cost of replacing the part and an explanation of the cost. I thanked him for showing me that and he said that he does that so people dont have to take his word for it. I appreciate his frankness, integrity and willingness to empowering me with information.

Stay away at all costs. After missing two days of work and spending $800 on brakes and calipers, the engine died on me one month after they told me it was in perfect condition. I had dropped it off for a full inspection to help determine my position on a home purchase. They told me that the engine looked great and I could easily get several more years out of the car. Then when the engine died I found out they never even looked at it because the bolts to the cover were still rusted on. I ended up having to sell the car for $300 and buy a new one. I also started the pre-approval process for a house after getting the inspection done. Big mistake on my part to trust these guys. Let this be a warning not to make the same mistake.

This is the third place I went to get my cars exhaust checked out, first place said it was too big of a job, second place said it would take 3 or 4 days. So, I called Mr. Muffler, dropped it off the next morning and they had the job done that afternoon AND beat the others estimate! And a lifetime warranty on the parts! Well done.

I came here after I got burned by a local place. Mr. Muffler didnt have availability that day but did put me down for as soon as they could evaluate my vehicle, which was two days later.I brought my car here that day and they were SO communicative and did not try to sell me on anything other than the issues I knew I had brought it in for in the first place!I ended up approving the repairs on my brakes and my struts, and they had it done and taken care of in 24 hours even though I know they were shorthanded. They even threw in a cleaning of the spark plugs because (I think) of the amount of money and time I spent here. The labor here is not cheap but it was worth it to me knowing that 1) I didnt have to do it myself & 2) the parts used were quality.As a young woman I have been through the ringer with shops trying to take advantage of me without realizing that I do a lot of my own maintenance & that I understand how to inspect my own vehicle. These guys were respectful, honest, and quick. I was very pleased with the work done after bringing it home and inspecting it, & will certainly be back in the future.

Was skeptic at first about having Internal Motor work done at an Oil change shop but with all the good reviews and the knowledgeable mechanics I spoke with I decided to give it a shot.Dean was well spoken and always kept me informed while the mechanics diagnosed the issue and fixed. Long story short they replaced the heads on my 8.1L 496 Motor and that truck needed it.Attached Images are photos that Dean sent me once they found the problem and the last photo was the motor reassembled.Now any shop can fix a problem but they paid attention to detail... previously I had a broken manifold bolt and Intake cover bracket was missing.. those were both replaced and repaired which just made the experience even better.As a Mid-level mechanic I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here

I came to Mr. Muffler to get an exhaust tip installed on my pickup truck. During inspection, I was informed that the exhaust pipe was rusted pretty badly up to and including my muffler. So I decided to get all that changed out and went with an X-cellerator performance muffler, along with new pipe and exhaust tip. I told them I wanted deep throaty sound, not high raspy sound, and they knew exactly which muffler to install. I was very happy with the results. The sound is not too loud where it will irritate the neighbors, but you can tell when I start up the truck. I highly recommend Mr. Muffler for performance muffler installation. Just let them know which type of sound you want, and they will take it from there.

The lobby is kept very clean and I’m just waiting to see how my vehicle runs since I had my work done. I did notice since getting my vehicle done a few days ago, my car is pulling to one side and since they were supposed to have done my front wheel alignment along with the tie rods It should not be doing this 🤔

I worked with Mike the whole way through and he was awesome. Its difficult to find a good honest repair center that you can trust your vehicle with. Even though I could only do drop off and pick up after hours and only spoke to him on the phone, the customer service was great. He was professional and more than happy to help. Took my Bmw for a muffler delete chad ended up doing a brand new custom y pipe which made my Bmw sound amazing. they did an amazing Job 100% recommend coming here, they have the best service couldnt be happier.

I experienced great customer service at Mr. Muffler. The services I needed for my car would have taken too long for the mechanic on hand to complete. Therefore, another appointment for the following morning was arranged for a mechanic to come from another location. He made the repairs while the original mechanic completed his appointed repairs ahead of me. I definitely will return for my future auto upkeeps.

Fast response, quick turnaround. Exhaust pipe cracked in the morning, had car towed there as had good reviews online and it was close by. Received a quote that was fair so gave the go ahead to have the work done and it was ready after lunch.

My car was dying constantly, it would sit in the driveway for a day without being driven and need to be jumped. I had taken it to another repair shop, who replaced the battery twice in a 5 month period, telling me it was the battery. I was fed up and decided to try Mr. Muffler, which is down the street from me. WOW! What a difference. Not only were they quick and efficient, they immediately were able to tell me that it had nothing to do with the battery itself and quickly diagnosed the problem. They were very up-front and straight-forward and did not try to charge us for unnecessary work. Michael is professional and courteous and kept us informed every step of the way. Mr. Muffler is a top-notch repair shop and as long as we are living in Michigan, they will have our business for life! Every time we need a repair they always are professional, reasonably priced and extremely nice. They give you all of the information up front before fixing anything, and they walk you through the process step by step. The staff was also very helpful when I had to come in with my toddler. Had an oil change a week ago. By mistake there must have been a small spill when the oil filter was removed. When I noticed a small spot of oil on driveway, I called and they told me to come on in. My car was promptly taken in to be looked at. After inspection the manager immediately admitted it was their fault and was apologetic. They quickly cleaned up the area and generously provided monies for a car wash. I was just happy that they cleaned it up and that it was simply a little accident, versus I had a leak or something. But to have someone readily accept responsibility, apologize and then provide an unnecessary gesture I was truly amazed! I have been taking my car here for years and will continue to do so! Heres the facts... This review is prolly because I was deceived. I cant speak to the workmanship, timeframe or anything you may care about but I will tell you even if they give it to you in writing (in my case waiver of checkout fee as I own a shop myself and told them exactly what was what it was simply about whether they could actually repair) it means nothing. After determining they couldnt do the welding/exhaust repair(but could replace which I could have my techs do) I was told... I know I told you Id waive it, professional courtesy for another shop but I cant... The district manager is here. So there was never professional courtesy, there was bait and switch to get me in the door.

Best experience I have had. Very honest. Staff was very easy to work with. They also walk you out to show you the issue in person. I walked out happy and a customer for life. plus my truck sounds amazing. Great job Mr. Muffler. 👍👍👍👍👍 I would recommend this shop to all.

I heard about Mr. Muffler in Royal Oak by Bob Dutko, a radio talk show host. My experience at Mr. Muffler was across the board a good one. From the time I walked in and met Mike Jett, who already had the parts I needed waiting, to my conversations with Dean Morse, who kept me informed on the progress of the work, it was a welcomed experience. I highly recommend this location for your auto repair needs.

Awesome place. I typically get work done on my vehicle by another place very close by. Chose to check out Mr. muffler due to all of the great reviews. Everyone was right. This is probably the best damn auto shop I have ever been to. they are personable, ask questions about you as a person, and try to give you the best deal possible and lower your prices if you are looking at paying a bunch. quick service as well. highly recommended.

My experience was good they only charged me $100 bucks to fix the huge gash in my exhaust that was so loud! Runs smoother now and no more noise! Only reason they didnt get 5 stars is because the price they quoted for my front brake job was a little high to me. Either way trustworthy guys and great customer service, overall good prices.

I knew the repairs on the used vehicle I had would be expensive, but my jaw dropped after I took it in to the local Franchise service department. After my quote I did some online searching and quickly found that there was definitely some padding on the numbers. I came to Google for some good advice and notice Mr. Mufflers outstanding numbers and customer praise. One customer even keeps asking them for a job! I told Scott what I was looking for and he gave me a very competitive quote. I was even able to talk to Dean (a manager) and he gave me more time than I expected. I asked him if they would use OEM parts and he gave me a confident No, because... and launched into a great explanation of the aftermarket parts they shop and their increased reliability. He put his money where is mouth was and told me about the warranty on them that beat the franchise store. They earned my business for the timing belt replacement I need + several other things I can now afford by getting a fair deal. Ill update this after service is complete.

I have always taken my car to the dealership for an oil change & thought I would give Mr. Muffler on Woodward in Royal Oak a try because my time was limited & I did not want to spend a couple hours waiting. I am very glad I did, they were great! I did not have to wait long and the staff were very friendly and personable. I would recommend them for your car repairs or maintenance. They were reasonably priced too!

Came in on Saturday they were very busy but the man of front fitted me in for an oil change and he was very friendly and outgoing very could experience would recommend this to all my friends I was surprised that he had such great customer skills to fit me and like he did he could just ask me to come back on different day but I was fine in about 1 hour

I had an awesome experience at Mr. Muffler in April 2017. I had my struts and shocks changed on my car and was given a nice little discount. The manager also payed for a rental car for me to use overnight since the parts were not available right away so I would not be without transportation. I appreciate the friendly, helpful, and caring customer service and will definitely be going back again and recommending Mr. Muffler to all my family and friends :-).

Staff was very friendly and reasonable. They provide a thorough explanation of the work that your car needs, provide quality parts, and work with your budget as much as possible. I know I hate when I go in for 1 problem and auto shops come back with an estimate telling you to replace everything under the hood! This was not the case. They were straight to the point and prioritized anything additional that needed to be done while giving a time frame and separate estimate.Highly recommend!

My oil pressure low light came on today. As it was the second time in a week I knew it was time for an oil change. I saw the grand opening special for $9.99 and thought I would give this business a shot. Dean was awesome. He got me in and out in about 30 minutes including replacing my air filter. Even though this location is not near home I will definitely be back and will recommend them to others.

I had an aftermarket exhaust for my 2014 Sierra that I purchased from another source and had issues installing it myself because I needed a custom flange made to install it correctly. I went here and they were able to help me out by making the flange and installing everything for a very reasonable price and competed the work very quickly. Sounds great and looks just as good.

Mike took care of me, before i came here i went to midas. they said i needed a new radiator. i came to mr muffler, they said i needed a new radiator AND a head gasket. They showed me my old gasket, boy were they right! costed me a lot more money, but i am glad to have the piece of mind that my van will run fine in the long-run. thx guys

I took my 2008 Nitro there 9/26/2019 and the did a fantastic job replacing my lower driver side ball joint upon inspection for a wheel alignment. When I got home I inspected their work and notice the part was different from the original compared to the passenger side and went back to the shop. Nate and the mechanic who did the work explained to me that the manufacturer modified the part to prevent bushing wear in a very professional and respectable way, which is true customer service in my opinion. Great job guys.

Following the sudden retirement of our trusted mechanic of several years, we researched high and low for a local repair shop that we can trust. Trustworthy shops are hard to come by as we have been swindled in the past with shotty work and poor business practices. We were skeptical.However, we took the leap of faith here and were pleased with the knowledge of the staff, professionalism, timeliness of service provided and pricing. We have had two separate services performed on our family vehicle (due diligence maintenance of exhaust and front brakes) and the van runs smooth. Front brakes come with a lifetime warranty on the pads and rotors. When you wear them down, they are replaced at no additional cost beyond labor. No labor cost in the first year either. Plus there is a road side service plan included if you don’t have AAA.

Worked with Nate to fix my 2012 jeeps A/C. Very positive experience. They showed my Great customer service and fixed my issue within a few hours and for about $400 less than quoted elsewhere. WILL DEFINITELY KEEP ME COMING BACK hopefully not needed though 👍

After receiving a quote from Midas Muffler in Troy for $750 with a lengthy explanation about the catalytic converter and the need to replace xyz...I ended up taking our car to Mr. Muffler Auto Repair. I was quoted a price of $160, was shown how they would proceed with the repair, received immediate service and paid less than quoted price ($155). Excellent service! Highly recommend! Nice to find a place you can trust.
