Only through the design and contracting phase of a kitchen remodel with them but so far it has been great. We really appreciate Arlenes design expertise and responsiveness.
STAY AWAY Dont give them any of your time. This owner financially profiles his customers. The owner came out as we were looking to remodel our whole house, yes whole house and a very large project. John, the owner came out to see the project and provide us with an estimate, so far so good. The day after we went to their storefront to see some examples. I could tell in speaking with John while at our house he didnt think we could afford a major remodel. Even the next day when we went to his store he didnt give us the time of day. Well low and behold, he never followed up with us with an estimate. Cant say Im shocked as John thinks a lot about himself and doesnt seem to care about others. Just my opinion but that is how my wife and I felt. The good news is we found a great contractor at another company to do our whole house remodel and couldnt be happier. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT give this business any of your time or hard earned money unless you want to be treated poorly and dont get any follow up from them.
Remodeling Expo recently finished my master bathroom and I must say that its now truly spectacular. I honestly cant believe it. Their tile work is so accurate, even, level. The design is so awesome! And the install team worked so hard. Ive had other work done on my house and this company is among the best out there.Special thanks to Peter for installing it, Brittany for designing it and John for running the whole show.
Felt like we were profiled ...and found lacking. We wanted a quote for an entire house remodel. Not a small job and yes we knew, not a small expense. The owner gave us a rough estimate on part of the job, but said he needed to do some calculations to give us quote on building out open living room into closed with bedrooms above. The owner was glad to come out to our Johns Creek neighborhood, but then when he saw it wasnt one of the upscale ones he seemed to think we couldnt afford the remodel and then never followed up. We even went into his showroom the day after he came to our house...and we were basically ignored. Run dont walk the other way from this business. We are in the middle of this remodel with another company with no problems. The owner, John Hogan, talked more about how successful his business was than about our project. Steer clear. BTW one of 5 star reviews listed here is actually done by the owner of this company. (see the John Hogan review) How ENTIRELY UNETHICAL! they will probably delete once they realize it was noticed. against google review policies as well as being unethical.
Our experience with Remodeling Expo Center was very successful. We are very happy with our new kitchen. The project manager, owner, showroom staff as well as all the contractors were very helpful, skilled and knowledgeable. The only issue we had was the timeline (took longer than they thought). We would highly recommend for your remodeling needs.
My experience with the principal owner of this business should be a clear indicator of how your experience with them will be.. not to mention the rest of the reviews here.It started off great, called in, spoke with a wonderful woman who helped me get an appointment booked and we talked about some initial needs.A week later I met with the owner at my property and this is where it all went south.First, he showed up 15 minutes late. If youre going to be late to an appointment with a prospective customer, you call or text.Second, the guy was just unprepared. He knew nothing about why we were meeting, he asked very few questions to understand our context, and we had to lead the entire time. He seemed completely disinterested in being there. As a result, he did not offer any value in our discussions, and overall it just felt like prying teeth to just get the conversation and appointment moving along. The only time he opened up and took some initiative was to give us his pitch about how successful his business is and his back story. In sales this is what we call a Me and My product approach, its selfish. As opposed to a Customers and solving their problems approach. If the guy is as wildly successful as he took the time to tell me, then he should hire someone to do the selling for him because he clearly is not capable of selling anything. These guys think they can charge $55+/sqft for a basement without even asking ANY QUESTIONS about what we wanted in terms of style, size, anything. Every other quote Ive gotten has been faster, more detailed, and cheaper. Again further evidence that they are not interested in you, or your project. They want to throw a canned experience at you in hopes that you bite.Whats worse? He never follow-up from our conversations. A week goes by and I call him, his response was like we never spoke Apologies what were the follow-up items?.. I explained my frustration to which he responded I go on about 25 of these calls a week Im sorry I dont remember...Heres the kicker... my parents had gone to them a week prior, about a project on their home, and they ALSO got zero follow-up.EDIT: In response to the owners reply here to clarify... I asked for a quote and estimate for BOTH a flooring job for the entire first floor + an entire basement remodel. Timing wise? All to be done before we moved in July.... the fact that he cannot even remember the conversation well enough to realize this is pathetic.
I contracted with Remodeling Expo Center to finish my basement and I must say that it turned out way beyond my expectations. I feel like I live in a high end magazine. The designers there are artists, the installers are pros and their Design Center made it very easy for me to get the project done. There really is no other company that can bring all of this together. I interviewed 3 other companies and none of them even came close. I actually expected a much higher price from them based upon all them have to offer. I wouldnt hesitate to hire this company again.
Dont even bother. We got other estimates from 3 other companies and Expo was 30% higher from the highest offer. All the other estimates had a cost per each item. Expo will not give you that, all you get is the total price. When I asked for it, they refused. I have never worked with a company without cost per item...mmm...they are probably afraid you would see how much they charge. The other companies got better rating too.
I had a great experience with Remodeling Expo. I worked with John Hogan, the owner, and he was wonderful to work with. He has a team of professionals that are the best in the industry. Id like to share something that is very important to me and thats contractors who stand behind their work. Firstly, their work is meticulous, accurate and just perfect. But there were a few items that I needed looked at about 8 months after the job was complete. And Remodeling Expo responded immediately. And then some 3 years later I had another potential issue. This was clearly outside the warranty time frame and they responded again. The issue really turned out to be nothing at all but its just nice to know there are still some companies out there that stand behind their work. Thats why we hired them again!
We met with John in his showroom on Jan 23rd and discussed our home remodel project. He seemed attentive and professional. Both my husband and I asked him twice to confirm our specific address and service area, which John agreed, “No problem”. We then set an appt with a specific date/time. On Feb 9th, the day of the appt, John called (30 minutes late) saying, “My current appt ran over and it will take me another 30 minutes to finish”. We then waited another 1.5 hrs until he called and said, ”I apologize. We aren’t coming as we do not service your area”.Bottom line: We were extremely disappointed, as we were looking forward to working with John and his team. And grateful to learn an early lesson about Remodeling Expo.
I typically do not post reviews but I felt compelled to share what a fantastic experience I had with Remodeling Expo Center. After many frustrating experiencing with home projects in the past I was relived to find a company that exceeded all my expectations. If anyone is looking for a company to give your Kitchen or Bathroom an update. Remodeling Expo Center is your go to!
If you want to remodel your Kitchen or Bathroom, call Remodeling Expo first. They take care of A-Z and did an amazing job with my complete kitchen and bath remodel .
They came out for a measure on my master bathroom in my house and never heard back from them. So I called about 10 days later to see if they had my quote ready... Still never got a return call back. Oh well, I will spend my money elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and dont let them waste your time, like they did mine.
This company offers the most awesome remodeling experience!
Fabulous start to remodeling our kitchen! Johns design was spot on to what we wanted. Now looking forward to getting started down the path to our dream kitchen with John and his team!
We have been looking for sometime for a company to do our remodeling project that we were comfortable with, we found it in Remodeling Expo Center. From the start of our Master Bath project, we loved their sales staff, designers, the project manager, and workers. Everyone was informative, helpful, and easy to work with. The after sketch we saw before we even started was amazing. We knew what the finished product would look like before we started. This helped us fine tune a few items that we would have never thought of. Their process is so detailed and went so smooth that there were no surprises along the way. The project went pretty quickly thanks to the project manager. He kept everything moving along. I was so at ease working with Remodeling Expo Center which made the experience stress free. I would definitely recommend this company to others.
Smooth Process, Great Communication, Awesome Design. Working with Remodeling Expo was so enjoyable. I was always informed, they finished on schedule and there was not a single change order. They have detailed construction drawings so theres no guess work. My husband was in awe about how they worked, and hes in the commercial construction industry! I cant be happier with the work they did. Thanks.
If youre looking for solid design and construction professionals, you will find them here. Ive done plenty of remodeling, so I know pros when I see them. Their kitchen expertise is top notch. My kitchen was big and complicated and it came out perfect.Remodeling expo really does send out a professional photographer to each job. (Photographer just left my house). Their work is worthy of this level of attention. Awesome company.
Do not even waste your time with this place (see all the other Yelp reviews) ....... the owner John is EXTREMELY RUDE. I had a $70,000 kitchen and half bath remodel that I was going to get done there. I called in and he happened to answer the phone one day, his horrible attitude was UNBELIEVABLE. During the conversation I ended up asking him if I should just take my business elsewhere and he stated maybe you should. So that is exactly what I did. Again, I suggest checking out the other reviews on yelp. It appears he is driving the company into the ground.
I really debated how many stars to give, hard to put the overall experience into one rating so Ill be more detailed on the different parts of the project. We ended up with a fantastic new master bathroom, the finished product is spectacular, as long as you dont look too closely at the walls. So why 2 stars?Design: 5 stars. We had a pretty good vision of what we wanted so that part wasnt too hard - but the staff at Expo did a great job of turning our ideas into a gorgeous bathroom design.Timeline: 1 star. It took twice as long to finish the project compared to what we were told.Tile: 5 stars. We have a lot of tile and it was done very well. Some minor grout issues that were corrected properly.Walls: 0 stars. The drywall/mud work the team did was just plain awful. They had to come back several times to fix glaring mistakes and Im still not happy with the end result.Project management: 0 stars. There was none. Trying to get updates was like pulling teeth. The only time we ever heard from the owners is when we owed them money. It would go like this: I would send an email/voicemail with a concern issue. I would get no response. 2 days later the contractor would show up, fix or partially fix the problem without saying a word about it and leave. This was the most frustrating part. As all work is done by sub-contractors I expected Expo to be on top of the project management and communications.Total, 11 out of 25.
Brittany designed a beautiful kitchen. Fred and his team did an amazing job implementing that design and creating an awesome laundry room as well. They went above and beyond to make us happy while still keeping this project within our budget and finishing on time!
I give Remodeling Expo a five star rating because of Vanessa our initial designer (unfortunately she moved on during our renovation as she was terrific and knew her stuff!) and Fred Perdomo our general contractor. It was because of these two that we chose Remodeling Expo. Fred was absolutely great to work with and he too knows his stuff and helped us throughout the entire six week process. Freds team of skilled workers were friendly and did an awesome job! Special props to Francesco, you were a breath of fresh air to work with! Our kitchen renovation was extensive, along with moving the laundry room upstairs, new wood floors throughout the main floor, new bathroom installed on main floor and bricking the fireplace from floor to vaulted ceiling and more, yet this team under Fred met the deadline and the outcome is simply STUNNING! You cannot go wrong with the Fred/Francesco combination!
Really enjoyed their showroom. Top-notch design work. Not to mention, the company seems to be at the forefront of blending technology with home remodeling. Very cool stuff. Will definitely recommend to others.
The Installation team was top notch, the designers were awesome and we couldnt have done it without their great design center. We really didnt know what we were doing but we knew we needed to remodel our kitchen and master bathroom. Brittany, our designer, held our hand through the entire process. Remodeling Expo Center adds such a high degree of professionalism; it was such an easy process. Perhaps the best part was the constant communication with the project managers. I know they thought we were a pain, but it was our first remodel. We entertain a lot and just about every one of our guests asks who did your kitchen? ( and then i take them to my bathroom!). Great job.
3 Bathrooms. They ripped them out and built up some awesomeness. I had no idea how spectacular these rooms could be. I followed their lead all the way through and they made it happen. I work a lot and I wasnt home for any of the construction. But what I can tell you is that I now live the life. Its unbelievable. If youre unsure of who to call. Call these guys.
They paint the exterior of our town-home and matched the strict guidelines the HOA have for your properties. Peter was very knowledgeable and accommodating since we decided last minute to do some extra paint of the window trims. The crew were very professional, and fast. They did the job in one day. They clean up as if no one ever came. They left the reminder paint for us to do latter repairs. I will recommend this company to my friends and neighbors.
I always wanted a new kitchen so I called Remodeling Expo Center. They were so helpful. I loved the showroom, I could pick out everything right there, Flooring, Granite, cabinets, etc. The designers were great, installers polite and the project manager was awesome. I live in Arizona, so I needed extra attention to get my Alpharetta home remodeled. My kitchen looks absolutely top notch.
Im a designed in Alpharetta and I send all my work to Remodeling Expo Center. There just isnt any place that has a design center and does installation. I know that my clients are safe with this company. Ask for either John or Peter, they run the place and they truly know how to treat customers.
We contacted Remodeling Expo Center after hearing Peter speak on Atlanta and Company. He was describing our bath exactly built in 1985, garden tub and all. We met with Vanessa and Elizabeth, picked out everything in one day, which included making shower larger, new flooring, new cabinets and a new toilet, painting, new trim, etc....Fred Perdomo was our project manager who supervised. He did a great job on getting every detail just like we wanted....We highly recommend using Remodeling Expo Center.Julie and Richard
Thanks to all. Designers, sales consultants and especially the installation team. Yall made my dream come true. I was so nervous about this whole thing but everyone made me feel so comfortable. All the installation guys were great. You were like family for 4 weeks. I hate to see you go, but I do need my house back! Ill say hi because I know youll be remodeling at least 2 of my neighbors!
Overall good experience made great by Fred Perdomo. He handled the install from beginning to end and is absolutely a pleasure to work with. He cares about doing the job right and it shows.I do have one caution and that is with the cabinets themselves. Make sure you are very specific about the quality you think you are paying for. We explicitly stated that we wanted inset cabinets, and no particle board at all. While what we received are beautiful, they are not what we requested during the design and contract phase.Overall, we are very pleased with our new kitchen thanks to Fred and his skill and professionalism, but it will always bother us that the cabinets are not what we ordered and the quality of the construction is lower than expected.
Beautiful showroom! John and the staff at Remodeling Expo Center are a pleasure to work with! They have excellent customer service and very high standards! Highly recommend!
I contacted this company to replace a large walk-in shower. They came out to my house, and spent over 30 minutes taking measurements. Three weeks passed, and I never heard anything from them. I called and told them I was still interested in getting a proposal from them. I was told they would get right on it and get me in a new shower in no time. The next day, I received an email saying that they were busy and that since I was not interested in doing a complete bathroom remodel, they could not help me. Then they wished me good luck. They did not even offer to give me a proposal when things slowed down. This is not the way potential customers should be treated. I was willing to spend 10 to 15 thousand dollars with them, but they were not interested unless I wanted to spent over 30 thousand. These guys might do good work. I have no idea. I will never use them after this experience. Be careful. They seem to take customers for granted.
So far so good. More reviews to come as projects progress
I spoke to Paul a minute ago trying to put a trash can inside of one of my cabinets at our kitchen and he basiciily saved me bunch of money over the phone so I can do it myself. Am I gonna do it probably not anytime soon but the fact that he cares enough to tell me about the website that I am save money speaks for his business and how he’s running it.I would use him for my next project.
I highly recommend Atlanta Renovation Store for any remodel needs in Atlanta - great services, great prices, and I am very happy with my new kitchen and bathroom!
Mediocre design, rude staff. We had an appointment to review our design and were thrown out of the consultation room because another employee wanted to show something to a walk in customer. Very unprofessional.
Just say No.Not entirely sure where to begin on this because there is so much to write.Well, there is so much to write about here. We hired ARS to renovate our master bathroom. We were told the job would be approximately 3 weeks to do. We paid half up front & the other half was to be due upon completion of the punchlist items. The job started off great! Prompt on the demo and clean up. Then the problems started... Now, we are not experts in design at all, and they provided one to us for tile selection. Turns out that the tile we chose for our shower floor had to be hand laid, which resulted in poor grout lines in the shower. ARS stated that it was due to the walls not being straight, but they had it down to the studs & could have fixed that initially. Then there was the project manager on our job... He was a new hire and supposedly had a lot of experience. Unfortunately, he had very poor communication skills and did not keep us up to speed on the work. Add in a poor attitude and lets just say that he wasnt easy to deal with. Then there was the bathtub... We were told to use Google image search to find bathtubs we liked. We did & presented the options to our sales guy. After trying to talk us into a different tub, he finally said that he could get the exact tub we wanted. It would be more money, but we were ok with that. So, I sent a confirmatory email (with picture attached) for it. When the tub was delivered, it was not the correct tub. We told them that & they tried to say that it was correct. Even the owner of the company, John Hogan, said it wasnt the same tub when we looked at the picture together. Then there was the shower... It was initially tiled by one of their guys. Unfortunately, the gout lines were not even and the shower floor wasnt even either. Needless to say, my wife wasnt happy. So, they told us it was because of the tile we picked. Again, we had no clue because the designer they gave us didnt let us know, probably because it was her last day when she met with us. So, they redid the shower floor, after getting us another designer. This time, they used their best tile guy. And it was certainly a better job than the first time, no arguments there! But, the grout was still uneven on the floor, even after changing the tile to one that they company said would be easiest to lay. Through all of this they kept saying that our satisfaction was their priority. To whit, the original project manager was fired, the owner of the company was to then be our project manager, but he handed us off to another new hire. This last PM tried his best, but even told us that Its difficult to come in and try to fix something that wasnt done right in the first place. My thought was, I agree! So, why not take it all down & start over? So, finally after 3 MONTHS of this, ARS comes to my wife & I and states, Look, were not gonna be able to make you happy. We settled what was left of our bill and they left the job unfinished. At this point, I am working with multiple subcontrators to finish the job. The sales guy, Jeff, and the second project manager, Fred, were the bright spots. Also, they did a good job on the floor of the bathroom as well
We have begun remodeling of our kitchen, currently working with Debbie Wolf on various designs. She has been absolutely wonderful, has provided so many ideas and alternatives. Looking so forward to seeing this through!
