Who ever the guy is in pro audio is a waste. More interested in his phone than helping customers. Complained to the manager and he just made excuses for the guy. Literally spent all day trying to get a component to work and driving back and forth to the store because this jackass cant be bothered to put his phone down and listen to his customers.

So I drive an hour to the Alta Arden store and bought the Squire Tele special in Butterscotch Blond. The fret edges were smooth and Lewis set it up and even adjusted the position of the pickups for the best sound. He took the time and went the extra mile to ensure my new prize was perfect…and it is! It plays and sounds beautifully.

We expected to find a large selection of acoustic guitars along with electric, they did have a decent selection of electric but a very slim selection of acoustic. They spread themselves thin offering all types of other musical instruments which is fine except youre labeled Guitar Center.

One of the smaller guitar centers, but thats why its 5 star. You get the professionalism of the bigger stores, but the customer service of a small town music store. Also, in store lessons available by top level instructors

Every staff member Ive interacted with has been extremely friendly (ESPECIALLY Fernando! And Bill too!), any questions I had! Just recently got work done on two guitars with Bri(y)an, he was wonderful! (left to right hand conversion), and their prices are great! Definitely reccomend GC, watch for their instruments on sale! Edit: Just picked up the store display model Epiphone Viola Bass, and I think it was plugged into too many times because in one use the bolt came off... They repaired it for me and Im finally practicing Bass! Amazing Employees!

The chain of stores has seen better days pre-pandemic, and while the selection is waning lately, the staff is still very friendly and helpful in finding whatever you may need. I went to pick up an online order with curbside pickup which they were quick to bring out, and then I needed to run inside to get a cable adapter and I was leaving with everything I needed 5 minutes later.

Always helpful staff and pretty good gear selections. Busy on the weekends so best to come am during the middle of the week.

Terrible store with unhelpful employees. Most of their instruments are dinged or broken when they actually have things in stock. But theyre always stocked with disinterested employees. Go spend your money at a locally owned store or buy online from a better retailer.

Picked up some drum sticks.

This was the smallest and most under kept guitar center Ive ever visited. And the staff was extremely rude. Upon entering the store I had forgotten to put my mask on the representative employee again REPRESENTITIVE employee rudely told me to adorn said mask. I happily complied and proceeded to ask about a product you sold. Rude and short the employee proceeded to show me the most expensive items. When asked about a more budget friendly version of the item I was looking for scoffed and proceeded to act like he was researching it on the computer. I pulled it up online in two seconds the web site said they had it In stock. I regret even spending the money I spent on guitar strings but I needed them. One star is to many.

This review is for the Roseville store only. I love this company, dont get me wrong. I have done business with this company for years; In the Sacramento Store.I have always had a great experience at the Sacramento Store. The ONE time I went to the Roseville location because my Sac location didnt have a certain item in stock, It was a terrible experience, BAD, BAD, BAD, customer service. The only reason I went to Roseville was I needed a last minute gift. Otherwise I would have ordered it to be shipped to Sac.Avoid the Roseville location, there are serious management problems there and it shows through the employees

Great store, they are very helpful on the phone and if they dont have what youre looking for, they will do their best to order it for you so you can pick it up! This is better than having it shipped to your house because if its something expensive you get to take a look at it before you buy!

Yes you can find almost anything you need to play music but this particular place is filthy, cardboard everywhere, nothing on its place, hard to walk and have a nice shopping experience.

Not gonna lie. GC is maligned in the musician community, and not entirely unjustifiably so. I have taken exception to GC corporate resting on their laurels over their past few decades, stuck in the 80s/90s, while other companies have leapfrogged them in selection, customer service, and (sometimes) pricing.With that said, GC Roseville has always taken care of me. Every issue I have had (which, in each case, has always been the fault of the manufacturer or another GC store) has been taken care of by the Roseville staff, usually exceeding my expectations. There has never been any high -pressure sales tactics, and help is always delivered with a smile. Sure, they dont always have the greatest selection or inventory levels, but hey, were in a pandemic that has affected manufacturing and distribution on a global scale.For their great customer service, the Roseville store earns my 5 stars.

I purchased a used guitar listed online by this very store early this very morn. I made the purchase and received the confirmation stating the completion of this transaction before the store had opened. I checked back online later in the day and and it said status: backordered which is very odd when it is a USED item already stated to be there.I chatted with the online expert who said that it should have been cancelled. The guitar was not there after all.This is the 2nd time this month that this has happened to me and the 5th time this year. I am sure the excuse is their standard some body must have been buying the same guitar right when I was! Hmmm but the store had not even opened yet!To add to this after THEY cancelled it(because they dont have what they say they have) you have to call in to have the hold that they place on YOUR funds removed or wait 5-7 business days.I dont have this problem with Reverb.

Have you been to a Guitar Center? Its one of those. This one is populated by welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Drums, gear and, of course, guitars.

Not much service. They try to get you out quick rather than let you spend more money. Interesting strategy for a retail company in decline. I understand only a few customers allowed in at once, but employees shouldnt be shooing customers out the door, guilt tripping them about the line outside.

Used to frequent the store before COVID. Now store is limited to 5 people in at a time, which is fine. But the guy at the door was less than desirable. Rather rude, not helpful and pretty much ruined it for me.

Staff were very nice, patient and enthusiastic. Let us try out all the instruments we were interested in without any pressure or hurrying us along. Pretty much had everything in stock we were interested in looking at.

I buy so my gear from guitar center because of prices on used gear and great return policy... nowhere else compares. The Roseville CA store inventory is lacking... they rarely cary higher end guitars but there mid-range and lower level inventory is good.

Price marked on the guitar we wanted was wrong. The cashier then took another 5 minutes to look and not find anything comparable. Most of the staff ignored my son and I.

Sloppy tech (the one with tattoos and long hair) Poor overall upkeep of higher end guitars. 50% of “high end guitars” had oxidized strings on them making them sound like cardboard. One $2500 Martin was missing a string. Check it out for yourself when you get there. When I brought up the oxidized strings issue to the manager she said they have no man power to upkeep the guitars 😂😂😂

We started music lessons right when they started offering it at the store and my kiddos really enjoy it. My oldest son has his lessons with Glenn for guitar and he loves it. Glenn is an awesome instructor who works really well with my son and has taught him a lot. Really glad my hubby talked me into it.

This place is amazing. I thought it was a guitar store but the have so much more! Keyboards, drums, sound equipment.. its a fully stocked musice and sound store. I talked to some of the workers, they were nice and let me know anything I needed they would order if its not in stock, no pressure sales just friendly conversation. Highly recommended, go explore.

Rolled in late since my wife surprised me with my first guitar! The guitar had not made it to the store yet, but she wanted me to get an amp, so we did. Lets just say it was obvious I was more excited than the clerk to be there hanging around all those cool instruments.

Ive been to a lot of Guitar Centers around the country. They are all great. But this one is in my home town and the people there rock the house. Josh in pro audio is my main man. Ive dropped thousands in that store and havent regretted a penny. Ive traded in gear and always been treated fairly. Great deals in the used gear too. Highly recommended.

I remember driving an hour to G.C. in Hollywood from Ventura to buy a 4 track recorder. It was fun to be in a huge music store. Back then the sales people were knowledgeable and gave sound advice.
