After this whole year of shutdown, I can honestly say I am happy that The Road Show still has its doors open! No matter if I am going in for just a peek or purchasing something, I never leave disappointed. The boss has fair and very honest pricing for greatly manufactured products :) Keep it lit Road Show

This is such a fun place to shop for gifts! I came in looking for a specific piece of glass; the staff were super helpful and spent time listening to me to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Cant recommend this place enough!

Theres a lot of cool stuff and I really like the aesthetics of the store, but the almost complete lack of queer representation left a sour taste in my mouth. Sure, there were a few pride related items, but for an alternative store like The Road Show, why isnt there more? Heck, I wouldve been super excited to support the store if I had even found a single trans flag anywhere - I wouldnt even be leaving this review.

I love this store so much. Ive been coming here since middle school and there is no other place like it. Its no wonder this place has been in biz for almost 50 years! you guys are great!!

Wonderful place, great pricing, great customer service, clean & Wonderful reptile selection as we have bought some, Ive spent the past 10 years coming and spending tons of money around the holidays especially, it would be nice if the customers werent always followed around constantly and eye balled as if id steal. Its a bit offensive and rushes people like me with anxiety right out after I grab what I need. Other than that Wonderful place!

So beautiful, and a very wide variety of insence, candles, and crystals. Best place if youre into metaphysical stuff / fairy stuff. Even going there, if you dont buy anything, its still a great experience. They have a room FULL of UV light posters (you can see in the photos). Ive gone here twice and would go here a third time.

Ive been to the store probably 3 or 4 times now and every time I end up getting something. The staff is very friendly, incredibly helpful and pleasant. Theyre the kind of people that you would probably end up spending most of your time having a conversation with then shopping but thats okay. Cuz it makes the out of the way (45 min) trip worth it.

Cool head shop and more. An Eastside OG. Smoking supplies, reptiles and cages, metaphysical supplies, body jewelry, clothing, memorabilia ect. Just gotta come check it out to fully understand. Some items can be pricey in todays age of Amazon shopping but overall a good experience. My fav is the crystal section. Kudos to the people keeping it going all these years later.

They had rabbits in really upsetting conditions :( flemish giants in little pens and crates, sitting in their own waste and obviously stressed out. Half a dozen tortoises packed in a wooden pen. Every employee in there wore their mask under their nose. Was super excited to spend dollars here but I wont be back.

It was a really bad experience with the lady we encountered at the body jewelry table and she was really rude her voice was enough to me me feel like she didnt want me there and she refused to work with me when i was asking to see the rings. It killed the vibe for me. Never going again.

I just came to look at the reviews because i wanted to find out if their crystals are ethically sourced, but after reading them, i honestly don’t wanna come back to this store. the way the manager responds to any negative reviews is extremely rude. im honestly appalled. the only other thing i would say is to be really careful with the jewelry. i bought an evil eye necklace and it got wet in the rain, and all of the dye came off of the necklace chord and stained my shirt black. ive also had three necklaces break almost immediately after buying them. and no, before the manager says something rude, it wasn’t my fault. i literally opened the clasp on a necklace and it snapped off of the chain. really cool stuff and a great selection but im probably going to find somewhere else to shop after seeing how the manager responds to negative reviews.

Some of the worst comic book shows Ive ever had booth space at. 5 people in the building if we were lucky, with Bruce and Rick yelling at vendors to move their cars to the back, as if it would make any difference. Most of the vendors just ignored him anyway, and that store always smelled disgusting.

I make smoking clips out of mahogany wood locally I was wondering if you would be interested in selling them? They are hand crafted they are all different in size and shape .I can bring a bag of them up to the store and you can tell me what you think !!!

I love the road show! Its such a nice place and all of the woman (respectfully and just in a friendly way) are so beautiful 😍 and nice, they help me in all the ways I would need going there! The men there are so sweet and helpful, never met the manager, i saw him a couple times but he seems really nice and helpful! I absolutely love all the crystals and clothes, even tho I only got one set, I still wear it all the time (mainly the shirt, I let someone barrow the skirt!) Yeah some things are expensive (to me at least, Im trying to save so everything everywhere is expensive 😂) but the crystals there, the ones in the buckets are good price :) they have an awesome supply of incents (sticks, and cones!) And they have the stands! Overall I really just like walking around the store, even with no intention to buy anything (though I always do lol) will forever as long as I live in Michigan (even if I lived 2 hours away I will still come here lol) I will always come back!

They were really helpful and I seemed to get everything I wanted. They even let us get free drinks on the way out:) I could literally spend hours in this store trying to decide what I want. The only down side is the employees kind of look at you like you’re going to steal something or touch something the wrong way so it’s like shopping under pressure a little bit but when you go up to them they’re really helpful and generous.

Love your store usually but recently i came in to buy some new crystals and a young miss donnie was pretty obviously on drugs, seemed as though she didn’t know what was going on at all. Extremely unprofessional.

I could spend hours here. The Road Show has always been my favorite local business and they will receive my continued support. (Initially a five star review)Update: I have been a customer here for years now. I love it here and it is truly one of my happy places. I just felt uncomfortable with an experience I had trying to get a problem resolved. I needed to exchange something and I understood that much couldn’t be done to exchange an item I brought in, but I wasn’t Ed to try. The cashier seemed annoyed right off the bat, with questions I was asking. While trying to find the price of the item that would’ve helped with the exchange, I offered the card I used to buy it just in case they could look it up like that, but the cashier says “yeah that doesn’t help me” in a rude tone. I didn’t really appreciate the way I was being talked to, when I was just asking questions about the return policy. I have given hundreds of dollars to this business and I recommend it to everyone. I just felt off put by this encounter and I felt like I was a major inconvenience. Again, I realized that not much could be done to exchange the shirt in question, but when just asking questions, I felt as though I was annoying the cashier. I was even asked to move to the side to help another customer before she was finished giving me a store credit for the other item I brought in and returned due to a defect.After my loyal business and money spent to support them, even through the pandemic, I feel that I shouldn’t be made to feel like an annoyance when I’m asking questions about the return policy. I will continue to support this business, but they have lost a little bit of respect from me.

I bought crystals from this place and they fell apart the next day, I went to talk to the owner and tried to exchange he was very nasty and was aware that the jewelry falls apart. Most unique shop Ive ever been. They have handmade local items, cases full of unique knick-knacks and collectibles, posters and purses and t-shirts. They even sell reptiles, turtles and rabbits. They have a huge selection of incense and lots of glass wear for 420 use. Must see

My mom took me as a kid and I loved it. Got my first piece from there along with some cool art and bobble heads. She took me there as a kid and today I got to take my daughter there. She loved seeing all the different things and animals.

Everything is high priced if you ask me . I was sold a fake hematite ring and bracelet from here. I will no longer be buying crystals from here

My husband and I visited this store twice in one week (always like to give a business at least two opportunities)because my daughters recommended this store to us. We actually visited with one of our daughters and purchased bracelets and necklaces. Both young ladies that helped us were lovely on both occasions. Unfortunately, as a copper colored American in this country it is unsettling to be watched so intentively..especially my husband and to not have a choice to place your items in a basket and carry them up yourself to the register like any normal shopping experience. I understand this is probably some type of store policy to cut down on theft but consequently it treats everyone as a thief..this may be cool with some people but doesnt sit right with me. When we visit stores we pay attention to how were treated by employees, store managers and owners as well as how they treat each other..it tells you a lot about the owner and hiring manager. My husband waited at the counter while a older man(my daughter believes he was the manager or owner) made eye contact with him saw him standing there didnt speak to him or acknowledge him and went back to a, in my opinion, a unprofessional conversation about trash not being taking out from the previous night. They have nice things but you can find nice things anywhere..its the way Im treated in a store that solidifies my repeat business. Also, one of the bracelets my daughter just purchased broke after wearing it for three days. Not a big deal things like this can happen but I told my daughters that $230.00 is a small price to pay to see someones true colors even if its a business. Thank you again to the two young ladies and the one bigger gentleman that choose to go against the culture of the store and genuinely help us..we appreciate you!

Decided to stop in with my cousin today since I’m from Dallas, Texas and wanted some crystals. In the shortest words, this store is nothing but AMAZING! Beautiful decor, wonderful selection of vintage art, custom prints, tapestries, crystals, even exotic animals! The staff was VERY knowledgeable and kind, and overall added to the environment in a very positive manner, no push to purchase or anything! Overall, this store has everything you could ever want to complete your metaphysical asthetic, and I ended up walking out with over $300 worth of stuff😂 AMAZING experience unlike anything else!

The staff was very friendly and didn’t judge you, but i’m not sure their crystals are real. i brought citrine which turned out to be heated amythest, and their clear quartz had bubbles inside. i was kind of confused because clear quartz is the most common crystal and if it is fake, so would the other crystals.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff that always goes above and beyond to help. Great selection of anything that your looking for and reasonable prices.

Just some advice for possible customers, ALWAYS pay this place with a credit card just incase someone swaps out what you pick with a knock- off POS. They will ALWAYS take what you pick out of your sight, ALWAYS.That way, if someone tries telling you thats what you picked you can let the credit card company stop the ripoff. Oh yeah, NEVER let your child wander too far away from you. There will be some employee uncomfortably close to them. Check out what you are paying for closely at the register. Caveat Emptor, especially here!

Horrible staff who feel that they can assault customers. I watched as they verbally and physically assaulted a woman. Do not go here as they are unprofessional and criminal. The most disgusting behavior I’ve seen in years.

I purchased a hoodie for my grandmother for Christmas. A very nice one of her favorite band hoping to cheer her up because she was in the hospital over Christmas. When she opened her present she was very happy and LOVED it.She just got back from hospital couple days ago and tried it on. It was too big for her and she told me she didn’t want to inconvenience me but if I could exchange it for a size smaller she would really appreciate it. (My grandma always thinks of others before herself) she’s amazing. I told her yes! no problem at all.I went to the roadshow to exchange it for a smaller size. Luckily I found the same one and size I needed. I told the lady about my grandmother and what happened. She said she cannot exchange it because past the cut off line for exchanges and pointed to a sign. January 10th is the cut off line. Today is January 16th. I purchased the hoodie a few days before Christmas. It hasn’t even been a month. I understand store policies but under some circumstances you can bend the rules a little bit. Now I have to go back to my grandmother with bad news. Unreal. Being a business owner myself I always make sure my customers are happy and satisfied and will bend policies sometimes if needed. I’ve been shopping at the roadshow since the mid 90’s. This is not the same place as it used to be. I’m very disappointed with there customer service. I don’t even want to tell my grandmother what happened. She’s old school and won’t understand this at all...as I don’t either.

I have been to the road show many times and usually bring a friend, telling them.how cool this place is. I went there this afternoon because the friend I bought there a couple months ago wanted to get a couple Christmas gifts she espied our last visit. This place must be under new management because the inventory has shifted to a more retail level and we were harassed constantly by employees. Most were obese but one was particularly offensive by following a ing us into the neon room and hearing at us to not touch anything. We were so turned off we purchased nothing on this trip and wont be returning because of the negative experience. To bad this used to be a pretty cool store to browse

I love this store. I have been going to this store for many many years. They have unique items, good prices, a great staff and this is why I keep coming back. The owner is also very nice. I had an issue a few years back with an item (which out of hundreds of items purchased, the only issue I ever had), he was very polite and took care of the problem immediately. Hadnt visited in quite a while and popped in for some incense the other day. The staff seem a lot better at balancing theft prevention with customer service than in years prior. I was asked if I needed help with anything or had any questions every few minutes or so while picking out sticks and she was friendly about it. There was a guy just sort of standing watch over things in the middle of the store who was also polite. The woman who rang me up was also friendly and professional. No weird social aggression the whole time I was in there, just a pleasant chill experience getting some incense sticks. Major improvement from years past.

I can not understand why you would put a choke hold on a young lady and take her to the ground. If she did steal, which the video does not show that is certainly wrong, but watching the video is unbelievable and we will not be back. Should have let the police handle it. No way was this ok

If you like to shop in stores with really cool stuff but are constantly followed and stared at like you have thief tattooed on your forehead then this is the store for you. They are probably upset about social distancing guidelines because they cant breath down your neck and ask if you want to buy that 20 times.

I was a little skeptical going to a metaphysical store for a reptile, but I was given a good reference so I stopped in to have a look. I was very happy with what I found. The store was well kept, the habitats were clean and seemed to be set up appropriately for the animals they were housing. The woman working in the reptile department was super friendly, super knowledgeable and was happy to help me out. Im fact, all of the staff I interacted with was the same way. I ended staying a little longer than I needed to just to shoot the breeze with the people working there. Its a bit of a drive for me, but I expect to make another trip out there in the future. Awesome place.

I have two small minor children. Which I take there once in awhile. Just to look at the exotic animals. Its a well-kept store. friendly people and they allow their children to look and sometimes hold the animals. My daughter and her husband frequent the store.

I really like this store, the employees are super nice and really helpful. They have so many awesome products here, from incense, crystals, to clothing, jewelry and vegan hair dyes like Arctic Fox. Their prices are great. Their reptile section is awesome. They also usually have adorable bunnies and hedgehogs.

Great store 1st time i ever went there and the staff are happy and welcoming. Lady was very helpful with my son choosing a spider and very informative. Went to two other places on Gratiot before this one and by far the most help and information. I was at first hesitant on taking my kids in there, but it all went great. No my kids didnt even notice there other products. I recommend this store great customer service clean friendly and inviting

Been going here for years, when I was a kid we used to go to TRS when it was in the complex next to Walmart if I remember correctly. My Dads snake actually had Babies and the roadshow bought the babies off him lol. Staff has always been great prices are reasonable and people treat u with respect. Glad this place is still around, my 5 year old daughter loves the store the same way I did as a kid. I’m glad a place like this still exists in 2020! We will be in there today lol

This place is just too cool. So many things to look at that are so unique and colorful. So many cool posters, tapestries, clothing, band memorabilia, jewelry, crystals, lamps, candles, smoking accessories, even a pet shop area, theres so much more.. I love stopping in here and the staff is super nice and always make sure youre taken care of.

Been visiting the road show for 9 years! They have the most unique items. Definitely worth the trip every time I come here. The staff is always friendly and helpful! Love the crystal selections they have now.

$50 loss after going up there with the wife to get her some jewelry amongst other things after a rough day, and the lady in the jewelry section couldnt even measure right. We came home and compared them to my double zero got from somewhere else, and they were the same size. Im not gonna wear flowers and gems... So its a shame theyre going to lose long time loyal customers who brought in a lot of $$$$ over something as silly as not being able to measure, and having policies like no return on body jewelry after they screw up. Theyre certainly not the only place in metro Detroit to get all your oddities and random finds, let alone on Gratiot. Move along skip this place, dont get ripped off with their outrageous prices on everything from rocks to the reptiles to the jewelry and house decor, just to come home and find out you wasted your money and time to go get stuff to sit in your jewelry bin! Thanks lady!Now that I think of it, we stopped going years ago and gave it another chance for her birthday (where we we once again walked away without something) but she really wanted a fairy statue and its the closest place. The whole we will bring it up there for you thing is another rip off. More than once weve walked out without all the stuff we bought, because they walk away with it, set it on the counter, sit there ringing you up and ask is this yours? While not putting half of it in the bag.... so its hard to keep track if your spending more than $20 aka one thing. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Learn from us, people.

Great customer service!!!! I havent been to the roadshow in very many years and Ive got to say......it made me feel young again being there. The merchandise is still totally awesome and the experience is fun. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I cant wait to go back!

Without a doubt the BEST, most helpful staff EVER! I cant explain it but even if Im in a horrible mood the moment I walk in that seems to melt away. The positive energy in that place is unbelievable. I walk out in a better mood than I arrived every time. It must be the wonderful staff they have and how they treat you like family. Some of the best people I know work there.

My sister used to work here, so it was always fun when i got to visit occasionally, and as far as Im concerened Im pretty sure she liked it there! Everyone was always so nice when i came around though it was infrequent. I feel like the store has something for everyone, and it always made me so happy to see such unique things. Love this place, the people there are very friendly and always willing to answer any questions. My boyfriend and I bought these dog treats there and the guy that helped me said he was the owners son. He was such a good help with telling me all about the treats my dogs anxiety has gotten much better and I looks less stressed when we leave him home now. You guys are great thank you.

Very cool store. The staff is really laid back and friendly. They have a wide variety of products ranging from clothing to decor to crystals and incense, exotic animals and a head shop. The animals are all in wonderful condition, they breed and sell their own beardies and crested geckos. They also breed their own feeder rodents and offer live and frozen. The head shop has an awesome variety of glass pipes, as well as a nice little section for cbd oil. I am in here at least once a week. Highly recommended.

I love this place! ive been going here for years, the staff is amazing (especially the younger man with a beard who normally stands by the crystals or is walking through the store, give him a raise!) and there prices are low! only thing i dont like is all the animals kept in small cages but i know theyre well taken care of. amazing place for the whole family. i will keep coming back until the day it closes!

When a customer calls, to see if you carry a product & an employee answers the phone with an attitude like you are bothering them. I wont be buy any products from you, even though you are the only store, that carry Silkworms for my Bearded Dragon. I will find a vendor online.

Very unique and cool looking store with and a very wide variety of items for sale and have been a staple business in the are for a very long time, and multiple family members have shopped here for years. That being said I was a little disappointed with my recent experience. I went with a friend to check out the reptiles and crystals but was shocked with the condition of a couple of the bearded dragons, very malnourished and missing ends if tails and nails as a result of being housed together. Bearded dragons should not be housed together, I understand you guys dont have the space to individually house each dragon but some are thriving more than others. Prices were also higher other places with the same reptiles available(i.e a cuban knight anole for $60 which is way too much). Also didnt help that I was eyed down many times throughout the store. I love this store for a lot of reasons and think it is a good store but was just let down with the health of some of the beardies. That being said I would never want to accuse u guys of neglect but I would HIGHLY recommend trying to separate those beardies. not trying to leave a hateful comment or anything just trying to air so concerns i had

Awesome place to shop for exotic things. Awesome pet selection, great place for just the right pipe.

I absolutely love the Road Show and what it stands for. They’re products are wonderful, glass pieces are a bit pricey. The employees are fantastic and very helpful but there is an older woman who works there and she is the most passive aggressive person working in retail. I’m not sure what I ever did wrong to her but it seems like everytime I buy my crickets from there, she rings me up and I have an unpleasant experience. Today I was trying to buy my crickets using my girlfriend’s credit card, she refused me the sale, made me get my “girlfriend’s permission” to use the card, she made me feel like some kind of criminal even though I was there on my biweekly cricket purchase. I hope that one day someone will read this and maybe something be done because other that her, I really do love the store.

Ive been coming to the road show for 15 years or so, I go there for a lot of different things. Incense and oils, plugs, decorations and feed! I buy 90% of my reptiles from there. I love this place! much like family everytime I go in there I feel at home. Always a great experience!!

Its quite sad when the owners, management, employees, and friends bully and belittle people on social media. I used to love the place but will no longer return if the owners have such blatant disrespect for their customers. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else since there are so many other places that offer better quality glass, smoking accessories, and customer service!0

I love it here. Lots and lots of cool things!!But I do want to say that a considerable amount of people have their own stories about rude employees following them around the store, being condescending, general attitude when asked questions etc. I’ve had this same problem time and time again. I really do like it here and love supporting a local business; just wish I felt more comfortable going into the store tbh

One of my favorite stores in Roseville! Always go Christmas shopping there! The owners are truly nice people! And the staff is great and have been there for years. If you have not had a chance to check this store out,you really should make time! Quality products and prices!

Angela there is very helpful when it came to questions regarding our tarantula. Love this place and the entire staff has always been so friendly. My son loves going to this store and we always enjoy our visits.

This is one of my all time favorite stores. They have a such a variety of things, ranging from clothing to pipes to posters to crystals to single bowls to pets, etc. The staff is extremely friendly and the energy is just great. Definitely recommend checking it out if you havent
