Ive been trying to get a wiring diagram from the work that Smith & Sons did on my home for about 2 years now. First, it was that they had moved locations and they had to find the schematics in storage. No call back. Now they say it wont be a problem and theyll call me in a day or two. No call back. But, if I need something done from a security standpoint, theyre out to my home straight away with invoice in hand... Still waiting on my wiring schematic. Deliver on that and Ill take this review down.
We have been with Smith and Sons since 2005. This year, we decided to change to another alarm company for personal reasons. We spoke with BETHANN to get the disconnection process started. She was abrupt during the conversation and hung up the phone on us. They charged also with disconnection fee even though we have been loyal with them for 14 years and we weren’t under contract.We don’t usually write reviews, but we can’t pass on this one.
If I could give them a zero I would. It started 1 yr ago when we changed our hard wired system that was previously installed by Smith and Sons to a wireless system. They used the existing system and patched a wireless system on top of that. At first, it was working fine. But then it started to misfire and we would get woken up in the middle of night by the sensors saying that it lost communication or sensor to the main pad in multiple zones. This lasted for 6 months. They attempted several times to fix the problem. Each service call came with a hefty bill that included gas to drive here. They never fixed the problem and Ward did not call me back to address the problem. I spoke to BethAnn and Cicely and both were inept and unable to provide me with any solutions. I cancelled our service. We have been with this company for 15 years. I will never refer anyone to this company. To add salt to the injury I am still getting an outstanding bill for services that was not rendered.
Yes, Bethann is a piece of work, dont walk, run away and choose another company...

I just pay $270.00 to disconnect my service with this company that lie to me from the very beginning, that was because according to their watchdog Bethann their very aggressive communication manager insisted I had a 36 month contract, They never made me aware that I was not month to month and according to Bethann they dont work on monthly basis. but at the end after enduring her shameful attitude she lower my penalty from $499.00 to $ 270.00. That was $15 per month serviced and my only way out. The only thing I am grateful is that I will never have to deal with this company again and specially I will never have to deal with that sociopath named Bethann. Angelica G.
