I brought an old family Bible to get a new leather cover. Sarah was friendly and guided me through the process. My Bible was restored beautifully and in the timely fashion!
A bit disappointed. Was expecting like new book covers, but probably because I wanted to preserve the inscriptions inside the covers from the 1940s.New covers would have lost the inscriptions. Other than learning how to restore books, is there a craftsperson out there who can reduce the cost. Less than $150 a book would be an improvement.
Several years ago I had a large paperback book rebound in leather. The workmanship of the bookbinder was excellent and so now I am returning with another project. The shop has a number of example projects to assist in making decisions and demonstrate the expected quality.
They did a great job of hot foil stamping a photo album for me. They also make custom binders, books and more.
