I have always used Bray and Scarff for my appliance needs. The salespeople are knowledgeable and friendly. JR helped me yesterday, he answered my questions, made good recommendations and let me know what was in stock so my wait time on my appliances is not too long!

My husband and I purchased a washer & dryer from Best Buy in August, and were told it would be delivered on October 1st. A few days before we were anticipating our delivery, they contacted us to schedule it…even though it had been done in store…and the earliest delivery was November or December - maybe! We called them and were told they couldn’t commit to any timeline, which was frustrating since we had not heard anything in the month+ between purchasing and our delivery date. We cancelled and went to Home Depot, who at first said we could have a set delivered in 2 weeks — only to backtrack and quote us December as well. My husband did some research and found a good washer and dryer at Bray & Scarff, which they claimed to have available for quick delivery. I wa skeptical after our other disappointing experiences, but we went to the store and to my shock they actually followed through! We received our washer & dryer less than 2 weeks later (they could’ve done it even sooner but we had scheduling conflicts). They installed everything, gave us a demo, and even hauled away our old set. The only downside was the late delivery window; they gave us 3-7pm and they came around 6pm, so it was dark by the time they were done. I would’ve preferred to be given the option of a morning or afternoon delivery slot, but overall I am very pleased with the quick and helpful in store service, as well as on time delivery and installation!

We were able with Owen’s help to pick out appliances for our whole new kitchen in an hr or so. He was extremely helpful in helping us chose the right balance of features in the appliance lines vs the cost. This saved us much time and expense. The Bray prices are always competitive and he will get us an upcoming rebate offer. Would highly recommend this vendor for appliance purchases.

Bray & Scarff has been absolutely incredible to work with! Mahmoud has gone above and beyond to make our full kitchen appliances purchase easy and pain free! During Covid we weren’t sure what to expect with back orders and Mahmoud was able to get everything in before our kitchen was even ready for appliances! He has helped with a few issues we have had and has made everything so easy. Absolutely head to the Rockville Bray & Scarff-you won’t be disappointed! I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

I used the GE Appliance website to locate the refrigerator we desired (out of stock with most vendors) Bray and Scarf was identified and had it in stock. We reached out through their text connection to inquire about timing for delivery. We received a quick response via text that it could be delivered in a few days. I received another text stating if we want the unit a call will be arranged the following morning. Moe from B&S called me and the transaction was easily completed. The overall experience was simple and convenient, we’ll have the fridge we wanted delivered this week. Thank you

The positive is that they had a refrigerator in stock and it was delivered on time . The downside was that the salesperson was inept and instead of taking ownership for his mistakes he lied to me . The manager bordered on being very disrespectful by trying to dismiss my issues as not being that important. When i called him on it he should have said I’ll personally follow though with this to be sure it’s resolved. I try to shopLocal and was disappointed. What the manager fails to understand is that there are plenty of other places to shop.

I called Bray & scarfs looking for a microwave to fit a wall cabinet. Chris spent the next 30 minutes looking up different microwaves that could possibly fit. He eventually found 2 that would so I ordered 1 of them that will arrive in one week. I first tried best buy and was on hold for 15 minutes and never got an answer. When I called Bray & Scarface they picked up after the second ring. Thank you Chris.

We just purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer from the Bray and Scarff store in Rockville. Owen was our salesman, recommended by friends who have used him in the past. On the phone and in person, he was awesome! He listens and directed us to appliances that were perfect for us. Yes, we are on a list to get the washer and dryer, but we are relieved this part is done and we’re hoping our current washer and dryer will hang in there (they are 30 years old!) until our new ones arrive. We would definitely go back to Bray and Scarff in Rockville and will be using Owen for any future purchases! Thanks, Owen!!

When I ordered a clothes washer from Bray & Scarff, I was told it would arrive in approximately five weeks. I called customer service over five weeks after I ordered my washer. I was told I have to wait at least another month. In sum, the order was placed on June 1. I anticipated my products arrival sometime in July. I was informed in August that the earliest that I could expect the washer was September 15. But, the September 15 date was certain because this date in their computer system was in red. I canceled the order.

I have gone to Bray & Scarf for appliances for 20 years and the latest was for a new dishwasher. Owen Stevens provided great advice and made the decision very easy. He demonstrated the Bosch dishwasher’s features and responded to my many questions. He started by saying this model is available now, which was my #1 request after earlier reviewing my Consumer Reports ratings and deciding to go with this brand. Great customer service and prices! Owen helped me find exactly what I was looking for. He didnt try to talk me into a more expensive appliance and made sure everything was set up for the delivery and installation. I had gone the day before to one of the big hardware stores and left empty handed. I was told to go home and figure it out myself online.

Neither the Rockville store or Corporate HQ will return my calls to rectify a very simple solution to my needs as a consumer. Cant even get an owners/operators manual on the double oven we bought. Alot of promises and absolutely NO action. Take your business elsewhere if you are smart.

He is also assisting us get a new cooktop by sending over someone to conduct an at home survey to determine it will work well in our space. Owen is extremely knowledgeable and he did not base his recommendations on higher priced items but upon our needs.

Our experience with B&S was terrible after our 23-year old GE Monogram built-in refrigerator died suddenly. GE Customer Service told us GE did not have a Monogram that would fit our opening. We reported that to the B&S salesman in the Rockville store and, after declining to look at pictures of our refrigerator installation that we brought with us, he assured us the current GE Monogram would fit. So we ordered and paid in full on May 25th. After a site inspection by a B&S Field Technician on June 22nd, the salesman told us the GE Monogram would not fit and we must cut-back a corner wall on one side and cut-back the counter on the other side. He admitted he knew that GE had changed the geometry of the Monogram door hinges over ten years ago to require a wider opening. He presented a single option by phone to switch to a Sub Zero model for $2,800 more. When we refused, he proposed by e-mail Kitchen Aid and Jennair models that would fit. We had already found those models online. We then made and provided detailed scale drawings of both sides of our refrigerator opening and the relationship to the corner wall and counter. In response to our question on how much must we cut-back our corner wall and counter to permit the full opening of the doors, the salesman reported B&S Installation Dept. required two inches be shaved off the corner wall and counter. We then measured the door swings on the GE Monogram in the B&S Rockville store and drew the maximum door openings on our scale drawings to confirm we did not need to cut-back the corner wall or counter that much. We cut-back the counter by one inch and had B&S install the refrigerator. We then had our contractor move the refrigerator out from the back wall by one inch, refasten the refrigerator frame and trim the opening. We never cut-back our corner wall and both refrigerator doors open fully. Our other issue is the extended warranty that was included on our quote without any discussion and without any written description. This is the third time a B&S salesman included an extended warranty without prior consent or written description and urged us to accept it because we would receive a full refund if there was no claim in five years. That was partially true because the refund is only a store credit that must be used in 12 months. After multiple requests for a written description of the extended warranty, we received it and were told we could cancel and receive a refund. After the wrong model GE Monogram was installed on July 30th (GE’s shipping box had the correct model number on it but the refrigerator in the box was a different model) and the correct model was installed on August 18th, we cancelled the extended warranty that day. Our salesman did not respond to multiple e-mails and two phone requests to return our call on canceling the extended warranty. After taking multiple calls from us, Mr. J.R. Lopez was very gracious and processed the cancellation and refund of the extended warranty. We are still pursuing receipt of the extended warranty documentation for the stove and dishwasher we purchased at B&S in 2019.

Outstanding service from the sales staff in the Rockville location from answering pre-sale questions through post installation follow through. More specifically, our salesman, JR Lopez, was invaluable in assisting us with the selection of a 48 built-in counter depth refrigerator, and coordinating a somewhat complex installation. The three man installation crew, led by Cliff, did a great job of removing our old refrigerator and installing the new one without any issues or damage to our kitchen. These 48 built-in refrigerators weigh in excess of 750 lbs. and often times require both electrical and cabinet modifications, so installation and removal is not a simple task. Kudos to Bray & Scarff for both their sales and delivery/installation staff. Bray and Scarff is my go to retailer for all high-end appliances!

Geary from Bray and Scarff was excellent. From helping me decide what to purchase to getting it all double checked and paid for in a reasonable time frame Geary was the best. Appliances are often out of stock now a days so I couldn’t include it in our kitchen repair job but B&S installment team specializes in putting in electronics among other things. They are fair priced for installation and makes sure everything will fit properly so I was glad to have them install our appliances. Had to knock my 5-star review down to 1. The purchasing experience was great. I bought a full suite of Monogram appliances for a new kitchen. I have issues with a couple of the items. Service has not been responsive. Sales team hasn’t addressed it either.So basically I tried to shop local, spent tens of thousands, INCLUDING the extended service plan. And still have ongoing problems. Very disappointing.

So far, a great experience shopping and ordering new appliances. Ill come back to update after delivery and installation, but today, its a thumbs up for the shopping experience! JR Lopez was the salesperson that assisted me and double thumbs up for him!I bought a townhouse where the washing machine and dishwasher went kaput. Worked through the home warranty company to try to repair/replace, but thats a whole other story. I had researched online a few of the brands I knew I was interested in and what the home warranty company would give me. So, I had a head start. I had a virtual appointment with another local store, and that didnt go well. So, I came back to my tried and true at Bray & Scarff.Made an in-showroom appointment online. Got confirmation and a reminder for the appointment via email. Although automated, it was reassuring to know they had me scheduled. I arrived a couple minutes before my appointment and it also happened to be when they opened on Sundays. Walked in and they remembered I had messaged about the dishwasher and washing machine the day before.The Rockville store had quite a few of the appliances on the floor which was great. Being able to see all the buttons and drawers in person was reassuring over seeing it just online. JR was friendly and professional. He was knowledgeable in the options and helped guide me to new appliances that will work for me and my needs. JR went through the options and the differences between brands and models. He made good suggestions. Then, checked inventory cause during COVID, everything seems to be delayed.JR went over Bray & Scarffs warranty program. Its good to know that the delivery/installation and repair team are all in-house. I did go with the extra warranty. Its good to know that if I dont use it, itll be available as store credit later. Really good experience shopping. Fingers crossed that delivery for my washing machine and dishwasher go just as well within the next few weeks.Will be going back to Bray & Scarff when its time to replace other appliances!

Our gas range died and we needed a replacement fast. We purchased our new GE Profile slide in gas range with the help of Geary Statham at the Rockville store. He was patient, helpful, and responsive to our many questions and concerns.We shopped other retailers and found Bray and Scarff met all our needs.Our installation required cutting the gas line and counter top. This was a problem for the other stores to arrange. Delivery was fast and the installation went very smoothly with Bray and Scarff. Everything was completed as promised. Bray and Scarff gets two stars because they have some very informative sales associates. However, I could not in good conscience ever recommend that anyone make any major purchases from Bray and Scarff. They do not stand behind the products they sell. The service department is probably the worst I have ever encountered. Two of our appliances arrived defective and instead of doing what they could to quickly get us fully functioning appliances, they continue to try ordering different parts to see if the can fix the issues. The parts take weeks to come. Then, rather than trying to get the part installed quickly, they tell you that once the part is finally in, you need to wait nearly another month for the next available appointment. It has been over three months that I have been dealing with the service department. I feel as though Bray and Scarff robbed me of the functioning appliances that I paid a lot of money for.

This review is solely for the service department at Bray & Scarff. While weve really enjoyed the three GE products we purchased from B&S a little over a year ago, our refrigerator recently stopped working--no cooling at all for the main part or the freezer. I called to report the issue on 10/17 and couldnt get a service repair date until Election Day, 11/3. I get that every department gets busy, but I would hope that they could do a little more for customers who were without a refrigerator than scheduling them 2 1/2 weeks out. Disappointing

I have been to Best Buy and Home Depot and no one was available that had the expertise to help me . When I walked into Bray & Scarff every question I had was answered . I got the washer and dryer I needed at a great price . I chose my delivery date. Every accessory ( hoses/venting kit) was included. The door hinge and vent location will be set prior to delivery. I would highly recommend buying appliances at Bray and Scarff. Chris Gavin helped me and he was very knowledgeable and helpful.

WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had. DO NOT BUY from this store. The customer service has been absolutely terrible. The sales manager, CHRIS GAVIN has been completely unprofessional. He refused to pick up the phone when I called in regards to my broken washer that I bought just a few months ago. I literally had to lie to his associate that I was a new customer in order for him to take my call. I still have my broken washer that cost over $1,000.

No one likes buying appliances because your old one broke but such is life. We went to B&S because we were close by - we were just looking. The guy was so helpful, no pressure, really no pressure. There actually are differences between all these various appliances. We thought we wanted one thing when we actually were better served with something else - that cost $1,000 less. They match prices so you won’t pay more to get better service. We went home, saw it for less (not much) and they immediately matched it. I have known about B&S for a long time but never went there because I thought it would be too expensive or high pressure. It wasn’t either. Do your homework, see what things cost, then go B&S to buy it, you will be far happier - especially when they actually care about the install! Very pleased.

I had an excellent delivery and installation experience today. I got a built in refrigerator/freezer and a built in dishwasher. It took less that 45 minutes to remove the old units, and deliver and install the new ones. The three installers were clearly very expert at their jobs. They wore masks throughout the installation. We had an excellent experience at Bray and Scarff. Robert helped us last year with a dishwasher and now that we purchased a home we went right back to him. He is very kind and patient, no pressure sales like other places. We came several times and he remembered us each time. And I must say, I LOVE our new wall oven with micro/oven duo on top. Additionally, we were so pleased with the service that we hired out their design and cabinet services as well to redo our full kitchen. I am recommend to seek another company rather this one, based on my wifes experiences. We order the kitchen hood vent, it was delayed, and more delays. Finally, the sale person form this place, make the suggest to us, to cancel the order. This cause problems for us, since we were in the process to remodel our kitchen.In addition, we order on line for the exact same models from Build.com, within 5 min. after the suggestion from the salesperson. We got it with the cheaper price and the free shipping. Wish we did a few weeks ago.FYI: Invoice number: EO4378 in June 2020, cancelled (EO4981) in July 2020. Do not call us.

I had very poor company responsiveness in getting a dryer ( still under warranty) repaired. The service technician was good, very professional. But the Service Department retired over 2 weeks to obtain repair parts, hard understand when the make is a Speed Queen, not exactly a cheap import.

We spent a lot of money on 4 major appliances for our kitchen remodel. The stove had a downdraft that required a downdraft with a blower directly under it. Bray and Scarff accidentally ordered and delivered the totally wrong blower. After returning the wrong blower, they charged us a 50% restocking fee which amounted to $365. We emailed the manager asking for a refund on the restocking fee and got no response. I realize the store is temporarily closed but hopefully a few managers are holding down the fort for when things return to normal...UPDATE 4/9/2020 - the manager has reached out and is checking into things.

A sub-zero refrigerator and separate sub-zero freezer were installed by Cliff, Andre and Enon on 10/2/19. This team was careful with both the removal of the old units and the installation of the new units. Cliff was able to overcome all the glitches associated with retro fitting units into spaces occupied by a different manufacturers units. Although it took 3.5 hours to complete the delivery and setup, the end result was excellent and I would not hesitate to use this crew in the future.

The store manager was terrific,. He was knowledgeable and willing to spend time with me as I made up my mind about which washing machine and drier I wanted, and the price was better than anywhere around. The delivery men also were terrific -- Stan, Shane, and Will. They did a great job installing and were very nice to deal with. I did not have great experiences with Bray & Scarff in the distant past but decided to take a chance and am very glad I did.

We had a wonderful experience at Bray and Scarff at the Rockville location. Paul helped us choose a microwave, oven and refrigerator. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, yet never pushing any products on us. He explained everything very well and helped us figure out which appliances would fit into our spaces. It was the easiest and best appliance shopping experience we have ever had and we have purchased many appliances over the years but none at Bray and Scarff. Next appliance that needs replacing, we will definitely go back to Bray and Scarff.

I am a busy mother of 9/business owner. I don’t have time for sales pitches but I also value a salesman’s input. I came in with what I wanted and my concerns with that purchase. The salesman didn’t push to another product, that in the end would have been a disaster if I had changed, but he did let me know the alternative. In the end I have a speed queen set, that though it does have a much smaller capacity, cleans like I have not experienced in the last 15 years and 4 machines later!Delivery was also painless!

I have been a regular customer of Bray and Scarff for the past decade and have generally have had a good buying experience with them. All the appliances that we have replaced in the past decade has been from this business (multiple locations). At all the times, the buying process was good - the sales people that we have interacted with have been very helpful in educating us and also helping us arrive at a decision.The after sales and delivery process has been good too, for the most part. Only one occasion was the installation delayed, but that does not lower our satisfaction in the long run.Plus its a local, family owned business and supporting them is better than the big box stores!

JR stayed late and helped me get a new one (great dishwasher - good price) over the phone. Second time, Ive selected an appliance that way and both times the selection was just right. My husband and I went to B&S in Rockville 3/30/19, our old range was purchased in 1994 had a bad relay oven switch. Unable to get the part, it would cost over $400 to recondition the control panel. So we decided to just get a new one. All of our kitchen appliances Maytag and were purchased at B&S by the previous owner.We went in and Brian P. came and showed us all the types of electric ranges. I was really looking for a electric coil range like my old one. The coil are more durable but a pain in the neck to clean. B&S did not have any coil ranges so Brian showed me the smooth stove top that they have. He was relatively new so Tommy Y came over to help. B&S was having a great sale so the price was very attractive. So we decided on the GE Profile Range.While we were completing the sale of the range my husband decided we should get a new fridge/freezer too. Our current fridge/freezer is almost 20 years old and the seal around the fridge was getting worn. We saw a GE fridge/freezer with outside ice/water dispenser on sale.The guys came and delivered, installed the new appliances and remove the old ones on 4/6. Everything was working and was told to wait 24 hours for the ice maker to make ice then throw out the first batch of ice.On Saturday morning, we discovered that the water dispenser was not dispensing water. The ice maker was working but no water. I went through the trouble shooting and did what was suggested but no water.I immediately placed a call to Brian P. at B&S but he was not in yet so Wayne took the call and assured me that he would send an email to their service department immediately and have someone respond to me. Their service department only opens until 12 noon but that there are no service calls on weekends.James Spencer called me about 10 minutes later and said that he would send an email (the best way apparently to get through to anyone) to their customer service department so that someone would call me to schedule a technician on Monday. He told me that I would be put on a Priority list since we just received the appliances the day before. So no cold water from Saturday-Sunday.On Monday morning I check the water dispenser again and behold water out of the dispenser! Everything was working again. When Joy from Customer Service called me around 9AM, I explained to her what the problem was and that the dispenser is working now but I still want a technician to come and check it out. She was very understanding and helpful. She told me that she would call her technician, Mike, and see if when he could come out. She said Mike is very good and very knowledgeable. Joy called me back said that Mike could come by early next morning.Mike called and came by a little before 8AM and he checked out a couple of things and could not see any problems except for the setting for the fridges temperature. I told him that I did not touch it and it was set up by the delivery people. The fridge setting was on 37 degrees and he said GE recommends that the temp be set at 39 degrees to avoid freezing in the water line that goes to the water dispenser. He said do not use the Turbo Cool function except when when the fridge is installed. I do remember the delivery person turning on the Turbo Cool when the fridge was set up and it came back on again later, maybe someone turned it back on. Now we know not to touch the Turbo Cool. Mike also said to make sure we do not block the vent and sensor in the fridge to avoid the pipe freezing.Overall, we are very pleased with the sales staff, the service dept. and Mike. The sale prices were great and we even got rebates on the delivery charge. Thank you B&S, hope we continue to have positive experiences.

So far, staff from Bray and Scarff have been impressively helpful and knowledgeable. They have been a pleasure to deal with. I only withhold one star to see how the delivery and installation of our refrigerator is handled.
