Very welcoming upon arrival. Amy, our server, was friendly, accommodating, had a great personality, and attentive. We ordered steak tips and surf and turf (steak tips and whole belly clams).Food was delicious and portions were enough to bring home for another meal.Clean and comfortable restaurant and rest room.Worth every penny.
Staff are really attentive and go out of their way to serve the good food they have. The alcohol beverages are made to perfection. Will go there again.
Food was very good, had good selection of items on the menu. Service was great as well. Would recommend giving this place a try.
For what it is, its perfectly fine. It seems to be very popular with the older crowd. The place was completely packed at 6pm on a Friday. By 8pm it was a ghost town, which speaks to the clientele there and who their food caters to. That said, my grandparents loved their food, so they have their target demographic dialed in.
Service is really great and the staff are super friendly and check up on you a lot, which is fantastic. I cant say as much about the food, unfortunately, but Ive been spoiled, probably.I ordered the Delmonico, which at the time, was about $30. Side of sweet potato fries and French onion soup. Kids ordered the teriyaki steaks and one ordered a burger. The French onion soup was good, but a bit on the sweeter side and not as savory. I dont have much complaint there, but just note that if you are looking for a more savory soup. (Plenty of cheese though!)The Delmonico... was MUCH more fatty than I expected. And its kind of my fault that I got this, because apparently a Delmonico at one place is not the same as another, because its such a contested definition to this piece of meat. A Delmonico is supposed to be nicely marbled... not exactly a Waygu, but not exactly with large pockets of fat, either. (Or maybe Im just spoiled because Im used to tenderloin and filet mignon cuts.) It was also very, very underseasoned or not at all... it was very, very plain. Only the parts that were decent were of actual meat. There was a decent char that added to it, though... they got that right. (I had mine medium-rare, and it was cooked correctly: pink with a red inside.)The sweet potato fries were crispy and decent though!I tried some of the kids teriyaki steak (medium)... sweeter sauce, and the meat itself was good. Better than the Delmonico, really, and thats saying something. If I end up here again, Ill probably try the porterhouse and see if thats better-seasoned... but Im also a bit reserved. Well see.
I went here with my whole family, we had a reservation. I ordered filet medium rare. They ended up remaking it, twice. Everyone got their food before me and when I got mine, the steak was well done. I didn’t want to make a big deal of it because the social situation was already enough for me, but they took it back. (i ordered French onion soup in the mean time) My very kind server insisted on getting the manager and they brought me a new filet while everyone was finishing up their meals. When they brought me the new steak, someone bussed my soup I had only a few bites of. Upon cutting into the filet it was completely rare. I was honestly dumbfounded. I was embarrassed and uncomfortable. Staff acted so casual about how it came out the second time and tried to retrieve it from me before i could take a photo. I’ve given this restaurant a try several times, and it’s honestly not that great. I told them i did not want a third and didn’t want my family to pay for it considering everyone had already finished eating their meals. I felt like I wasn’t taken seriously. They tried to bring me a third and at that point I needed to not be in the restaurant anymore. The whole situation was extremely unfortunate. On the upside, my server was incredibly nice, comped my drink, and then made me another. That’s about all I can say about that. It was pretty disappointing and definitely in my top worst restaurant experiences.
I have several food allergies and commonly have problems when I try to eat out at other restaurants. This restaurant was truly AMAZING and made my experience so easy. I didnt have to settle for something simple when ordering as they made my meal from scratch. The food was amazing! Despite my numerous allergens, the waitress remembered each one and any time we ordered anything new, she made sure to tell me if there was an ingredient I couldnt have. The staff never seemed to mind my special needs and made me feel as if it was no big deal. Ive never had such an easy experience anywhere else. We will definitely be back.
We moved to Florida a couple years ago so since we were visiting the area, I just had to order the fried clams. My wife ordered the lobster mac and cheese, and they were both impeccable. Granite Steak has always been a sure go to for us in the past and still is. Prices are up as expected but you do get what you pay for. Wait staff is superb and friendly as well.
Went here the other night and had such a great meal. The new menu is fantastic, my son didn’t know if he would like Chicken and Waffles but thought he would give it a try. Staff was really friendly and inviting making sure all our needs were met. We will definitely be going back for more!!!
The waitress Carrie was great. The food was not worth the price $20.00 for a 1/2 & 1/2. Got 2 small haddock nuggets and 10 native shrimp. As a rewards member I eat here often and this is 2nd time I have been disappointed. Also the onion soup that I usually rave about was terrible, onions were not cooked. It looked like someone took raw onions threw it in some broth and tried to pass it off as soup. Wont be returning to your restaurant.
Excellent food, but mashed potatoes were a little on the bland side. Highly recommend the poutine! The waitress was very nice and attentive!
Waitress was excellent, but the steaks were 3rd class at the best. The fillet was burn when they charcoal it and had a funny taste. Not what I would call a prime steak. The Porterhouse was slightly overcook, asked for medium rare, got medium. Their menu did state do to supply chain issue thye have struggle to get good meet, but to charge $40 for a steak it should at least 2nd class or close to first class
I had a great experience at Granite Steak & Grill when I went there for lunch with my daughter. We had fast, friendly service and the salad I ordered was delicious —fresh lettuce and perfectly cook chicken! Im definitely adding this restaurant to my favorite places to eat in the Rochester area.
The food here is very good and there is a large variety . We all had the senior liver and bacon with onions. The portion was large and delicious. The senior meal comes with drink and dessert which is an excellent value. We have eaten here before and everything we have tried, the prime rib, the lasagna, the seafood has all been excellent.
Was mediocre at best. Service was good. Waitress was friendly and accommodating. Had the prime rib and although it was not the worst I have had definitely not worth the price. I would say this is the most I have been charged for a prime rib dinner and the cut was mostly fat and gristle. Sides were not at proper temperature. Probably will not be back.
I got the Chicken Alfredo pizza..Outstanding! My husband got the senior clan strips..Again, Outstanding! This place is Consistently an A+. Servers are Always Pleasant.
The service was good at first and the food was avg but then I found an animal hair imbedded in my cheesecake🧐🤢 I told the server and a few mins later the manager came over and asked me if I wanted another one? Are you even Serious? Yeah, Id love another slice and bring extra hair with it please. Gtfoh
First time eating in side AWESOME service menu is awesome you can decide on the size of your plate dont matter when you go there that is so awesome Ill be back thanks for the service
We go there everytime were in the area or on our way further up north.Regardless of the recent price increases, the quality and service are second to none.Amazing filets and the fried lobster tails are to die for!!! Always gives us a reason to divert our trips through Rochester, NH...They have a vast menu of succulent delights. I cannot recommend this place enough. We love it!!!
First off.. Go to Charlies of Rochester its much better.So.. Hair in my baked haddock tonight. It was embedded in the bottom of the fish. Yuck. And they didnt have all our order. We had to go back because they forgot half our items. And EVERYTHING WAS COLD. Definitely not good.
Terrific service. Server was friendly and helpful answering questions. Great meal
They consistently take the phone of the hook. They even admitted to doing it.. Dont know if the owner is aware.. Bad business practices.
Many, many years ago my husband and I went to this restaurant and it was very good. My friend brought me back for a family dinner and now this is my favorite place to eat in this area. We have had several meals since I returned and never had a problem with the food or wait staff. The food is excellent, prices reasonable and more than enough food even if you choose from the lunch/senior menu items. Try the haddock (fish and chips), or steak and I know youll be back. COVID-19 rules are still in place.
Food is good BUT we just ordered curbside pickup and even after being 10 minutes later than they said to be there, we ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes in the specified parking spot for curbside. Finally my husband walked in and mentioned he had been there for 30 minutes (now 40 minutes longer than told to pickup) the young girls just said ok and handed him our food that was sitting behind them. 😳Again, GOOD FOOD but maybe staffing needs to be trained more on the curbside takeout.
Service and food was excellent, like it always is thats why we keep going back!
Terrible. Hair in my nachos and burnt but somehow raw steak. Got the nachos and found a long hair in it. Asked the server to replace and when they came back they said here is your refried plate.. so did they even replace it? Then got my medium-rare steak that was burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Did they pull it out of the freezer? I asked for medium-rare and they gave me fishstick. I asked the manager what kind of wellness the steak was and she just said sorry knowing it looked bad. I left at that point. This was supposed to be my last meal before I get ready for surgery. Thanks for making it Terrible
Been there before. Great service (I think her name was Tam ?), awesome food. Our top place to go to.😎😎😎
Everything was quite tasty. Quick seating and service. Filet was...ok. Had better but I cant really complain. No way to know how good a filet will be, within reason, by looking at it. FRESH potato skins! So used to frozen ones that I forgot how good fresh ones are. Loaded baked potato with dinner was very good too. Mini loaf of bread was outstanding! Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that with the name STEAKHOUSE, I would expect an excellent steak. THAT I didnt get. Came from Albany for the air show at Pease.
Our waiter was terrific! He was personable, accommodating and pleasant! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The portion size was huge! Would highly recommend and definitely will be back!
Ordered my steak medium it came done. it wasnt very thick. On the line of breakfast steak at a diner. the sides were bland. Outback is way better ! Ps this place is way over priced!!!
It was 90 degrees out and they had no air conditioning... malfunction Im sure...the food was very good and our waitress was awesome 😊
Excellent food and prompt service. Friendly staff. Everything that I look for in a restaurant.
Great staff, food was very good. Cooked the way we asked.
20 minutes before we saw the waiter, 45 minutes before the food arrived. Food was lukewarm when served. Did not even see the waiter someone else served our meal. The food was actually very good, but I like my food hot not warm. It seems almost like the food sat for a while before being served. They told me to be careful because the bowl was hot. It was not as I could pick it up and it was barely warm, which led me to believe it has been setting for a while.
Jucy but bland steaks. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Due to covid meat prices are 3x what we expected. Will try again once inflation and market returns to normal
Love the Pub down stairs. So much more atmosphere. Food was very good.
Joined up with friends eat and chatted a while. Great place for mingling.
Great food and service. Highly recommend
Prime rib was mehhh. Baby back ribs were excellent.
Great food, service is always great, and the value is incredible. Its the only place I can buy myself a 36oz. Prime Rib for around $35.
Ordered end cut of prime rib (which I always do), this time it was reheated on a grill and was dry and tasteless. So disappointed ☹️.
Cant say enough about this place staff is amazing food is great we passed by this place so many times and didnt go in I am so sorry for that we have been there many many times
Excellent service and the food was very good. I would recommend. This place is usually packed on Fridays and Saturdays.
Staff and food was great. Frankly I got a disturbing call and when I turned around the Manager asked if I was okay. That been than a quick drink when its empty. Thanks rough day!
Wanted a steak but wasnt going pay the price, is this the way of it now $37.00 for fila minion (spelling ?)....chicken parm was more linguini than chicken .....service was fine
Another of our go to restaurants around the New Hampshire Seacoast. Huge and varied menu. You can actually get liver & onions here with bacon on top. Delicious.
Always a great experience at Granite Steak & Grill, whether upstairs enjoying a family meal or downstairs in the bar. The owner Patrick Gagnon does it right on all levels!
Atmosphere is clean and pleasant the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is excellent! I love the Delmonico steak.
Always great food and we enjoy Smokeys Tavern on the lower level.
Its been a few years since I have stopped. I forgot how good the food is.
Not as good as it used to be. Steak tips were not cooked right. Prices were to high.
Great food great service. My favorite place to eat
Since covid hit, we have done a lot of takeout vs. eating in which we would often do.Their menu is packed with delicious food entrees and apps. The hardest part is choosing what to eat as everything sounds great and is always great to eat.Their takeout is also top notch with generous portions. And the new market place is nice also. Just locked up some wings for super bowl!!Great place to dine in or out!! Will continue to dine their !!!We have yet to be disapointed and that is rare especially today!!
The cajun shrimp was delicious and my husband loved his, though he cant remember the name, but then sausage that came with it was fantastic.
Kids love the popcorn at Smokeys
They never disappoint, always great service with delicious food
Wonderful service...fabulous food...I would highly recommend the BBQ ribs...
Got take away ready meals to go pleasant staff, reasonable prices
Super friendly service all the food was just so delicious I got a 10 oz. Prime rib an I wanna say it was the best prime rib I have ever had. Definitely will be back 🙂
Always have a great meal at Smokeys/Granite Steak. The staff is one of the best in the area and always makes you feel welcome. Seems were there weekly and its never a disappointment.
Good food and atmosphere. They had delicious happy hour apps and drink specials. The fried avocados were top notch. Well definitely go back.
My husband and I attended Granite Steak and Grill tonight for the first time and we were very pleased with our entire visit. Our waitress was brand new (her second day) but was very good at making sure everything was perfect for us. She was so polite it made up for the rude blonde woman that checked us in at the door. There was a little bit of a wait time but the food is definitely worth it!! We will go back again for sure!!! Highly recommend checking this place out!!!
Too expensive for the area. Marginal food. Very clean and ok service.
Ate here two days ago on Sunday. Service in the tavern downstairs was good. My wife got a turkey burger and said it was very good. I tried the Memphis burger, ordered it medium rare, it came medium and coupled with pulled pork that was very dry I didnt get the juicy burger I was hoping for.(seemed like an opportunity to get rid of over cooked pulled pork) Nice place well try it again.
Nice place to eat good food reasonable price nice people
Great place to eat Tavern downstairs
I absolutely love this place! Great waitresses and a beautiful tavern downstairs. The menu is amazing and the Mozzarella wedges are sooo good
The food was great, the staff was fast and friendly. I recommend trying the BBQ soup when it is available.
Bad portions, high prices. Food was good but definitely not worth it for the prices.
Not only was the food good but the service was excellent. I highly recommend Tracy if youre looking for a good dinner and great service! Im most definitely coming back!
Food was cold as hell .100$ for two 8oz prime rib and one 12 oz .two cokes one beer 100$not what we expected at all.this food is nothing to Wright home about. Probably will never go back!
Food was good, but not anything special. Very extensive menu can suit all your needs. Felt like eating at Restaurant 99 even though it felt like a higher-end place. Decent place to eat for comfort, not worth driving an hour just for lunch/dinner.
Such a great staff. Deb an Rachel are the best.
We have never had a bad experience here! Their prime rib is perfection. Wait staff are courteous and attentive. Varied menus will satisfy many tastes. Prices are reasonable for the large portions.
The prime rib steak was tough and over cooked the service was nice but was not happy with the steak
I wouldnt even give it one star... they got my order completely wrong they gave me an appetizer I didnt even ask for. The whole reason we went there is because we wanted the baked potatoe boats and they gave me mozzarella sticks. The burger was WAY under cooked when I asked for well done and barley had and BBQ. The chicken on the nachos were slimy. Waste of $80 if you ask me.
Good food, good service, beyond the five star.
Great food. Great service. Love this place.
We had a party of 4 for dinner. We started with tasty appetizers. Amazing they were and we followed it up by absolutely tasty meals! The prime rib was cooked to perfection with a side of mushrooms and onions smothered in juices that were full of flavor. The seafood combo was a great portion size..cooked perfectly. Our service was top notch and never had to wait for drink refills or anything needed to complete our meals. A great place to go for an excellent dinner dining experience.
Delicious food great staff
HUGE selection of food options that will cover almost everyones taste. I got the delmonico and it was cooked to perfection. Great service and great food!
Very yummy, always great service and food!
Great food and service! A must try if you havent.
Tuna steak was good. They suggested med. rare I got it medium should have got it med well.Paul the waiter was great
Fantastic food, great staff!
Food was good waitress was a little bad. Didnt bring my husband oster crackers. Tartar sauce wasnt that good
Love this place food and service was great! Would have given a 5 but the Hubbys seafood platter wasnt hot as he likes. Otherwise all was delicious!
Food was really good this trip. Im not sure how they did it but it got better.
Food is so good! Service is great Cari H is the best server!
Friendly staff and great food and drinks.
Honestly this place has its flaws but they make some of the best chicken tenders ever. They also make their own ranch which is always the mark of a great restaurant. Try the honey sriracha sauce on your tenders with their homemade ranch...thank me later.
Food usually very good. Went there tonight was told 35 min wait was there OVER an HR with 3 people ahead of us. They continued to tell people 35 min wait. Got fed up and left. Will not go back
Food was very good and plentiful plus the wait staff was helpful as well
