There is two parts to my story.Last winter an accident left me stranded at Wegmans on East Avenue, I was with my six-year-old daughter.No way to get home, and the store was closing.Unfortunately I had no money after the tow cost.Somehow the security guard picked up on this.He said to me after learning what my dilemma was, as it was freezing cold in the middle of winter, are you folks hungry, and my little daughter said yes.And I said I appreciate but I dont have any money left because I had to pay a tow. And I dont know what were going to do.Mind you the store was closing this is East Avenue.To my amazement, he gave us food he said I think that the management would understand and he also kept the store open a little bit later for us.That meant the world to me.Second part of the story.As someone who has struggled over the past few years including homelessness, and hunger. several times Ive gone to Wegmans and have asked management or whoever if it would be okay if I had something to eat.Never once was I turned down.Language used to have live music at two locations Calkins road and a location in WebsterIt would be on a Thursday or whenever and when my little daughter at 3 years old discovered this we used to go every week.

Plenty of parking and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of products in the produce department. The Asian section has Angelo Pietro Salad dressings. Plenty of sauces and items to choose from in the Asian section. The bakery has a cookie bar with fCookies decorated for the holidays.

I Love Wegmans its the best, freshest fruit and vegetables. The best meat selections and fresh. I Love everything about Wegmans. Its the only grocery store I go 2Wegmans Number 1

Easy to shop, found everything we needed ...wifes in a wheelchair, and had no problem taking her down the aisles and picking up what we needed. Love the fresh produce. Very clean.

Top on my grocery list was Marathon Bread. But I was told at the bakery that the Lyell Ave store doesnt carry the Marathon. What? Why not? Do I really have to drive 8 miles to the Paul Rd store for this item?

Not as crowded as expected, (Friday rush hour on Lyell Ave!) and carried a lot more products I was looking for, unlike East Ave, which is my regular-ish store.

OMG the prices here are absurd! Forced purchase of their store band in many product lines. Poor selection of natonally-offered brands. They wish they were Publix. Ha! Not by a long shot. DONT @ ME about your sweet little Wegmans...sorry its NOT a good grocery store.

I enjoyed my trip. I found most of what I was looking for. A little sad that they still dont carry the Marzetties blue cheese dip. It is the only one I use! I have noticed over the last few years, they have cut way back on the varieties of a lot of the items. Otherwise, very pleasant clean store!

I shop at this Wegmans because the prices are lower than the one by my house, and the Cashiers are much nicer...

Not one of the better wegmans in the area. Location wise you are better off traveling to the chili ave location. Last time I was in here two men were just screaming at each other in the sub shop line. Security just kinda stood there and let it play out even though it was very disruptive. Otherwise, this is a decent place to grocery shop and mostly find what you are looking for.

We came home to NY for a funeral. Getting to shop for needed things at Wegmans brought back so many memories and the Customer Service is the Absolute Best Anywhere . I read an article recently that compared Publix to Wegmans and Wegmans was by far, the Superior choice.My most favorite description of Wegmans is it is a Beautiful Self-contained City where people can meet together, shop and enjoy its top of the line products while feeling the warmth of home on Thanksgiving.I couldnt say it any better. If youve never been to Wegmans, you will be delighted. It is Highly recommended

Wegmans will forever be HANDS DOWN the ultimate grocery store! I miss the food bars but obviously with covid theyre no longer out however they did out the soup station back !! Very clean and goes above and beyond whats required for covid precautions! 👌🏼🙌💯

The pharmacist are rude discriminatory! I constantly have problems with them filling prescriptions that I get automatic refills then they give me a hard time about it!

I really only wanted to rate the end of my shopping experience at Wegmans a 3.5.The problem only started when I checked out. The young man that packed my grocery bags just threw my fruit and vegetables in on top of the chips and other perishables. I had to stop him from putting the soda on top of everything. When I got home is when I found a double pack of Cetaphil on top of the veggies. The last bag only had two boxes in it. I was very disappointed.

This place was very clean, lines moved fast...BUT the FOOD was AMAZING, I went in for a foot long tuna sandwich but while I was waiting for my food I walked over to the the sushi department and the asian department and they looked so good so I grabbed sushi and fried rice too...smh, but everything was Good, I enjoyed every bit of it

I ordered 3 subs...one Dannys favorite, one turkey w/banana peppers & one turkey w/just lettuce. Well, the guy, Jared, who made them wrapped them up & didnt put names on them. I asked how am I to know which is which. His response was, When you open them. Real a--hole. I never had service like that from Wegmans before.

Everything is so fresh. Its like being in another world. There is no other grocery store that can compare to Wegmans. The staff seems happy.

This store is pretty busy, and the way they have theirs set up its all over. How do you have pasta in 1 isle and pasta sauce in another 🤔. Only been here a couple of times but its just too time consuming when you are not used to the layout I guess.

The sub department I give a special thanks.My sister ordered a sub platter and the time she asked for pickup was not the correct time she gave me. I went there tray, was not ready but the young lady understood the situation and was able to prepare my tray early.

I went to the Deli section at about 7:45pm before they closed at 8pm. They had everything packed up, but the older lady still took my order. The tall young brunette girl walked to the back gesturing with her arms in the air talking to herself I guess because I came a few minutes before closing. It made me feel very uncomfortable like I did something wrong. Very unprofessional. Ive been coming to this Wegmans since the early 90s. This is how you lose customers

Nice items sometimes a little over priced but its close & of you know how to shop you know how to make it work. Not one of my favorites but I dont hate them neither. They are very expensive 😣. People as in customers are really rude in there though so you gotta move fast & get your things together but otherwise its a store. Nothing to write a book about. Its a Rochester NY staple.

The Wegmans at Lyell and Howard Rd., is always a great place to shop. Employees are very helpful and courteous. Items are easy to find. And the sub shop ALWAYS makes a fantastic sammich, but a little pricey. But over all, Its a great store. 5 Stars!

To say I’m disgusted by this store is an understatement! Today at around 4:30 I was walking in the store and past the pharmacy when I noticed an elderly lady on the floor !!! I went over and asked if she was ok and she said no she was very dizzy. Mind you she’s literally in front of the pharmacy!!! NOT ONE PERSON CAME TO HELP HER BEHIND THAT COUNTER!! I had to make a scene for someone to come help! Then after they came out the pharmacist just stood there and stared at her! Are you kidding me? Clearly the employees are lazy and cold hearted! Disgusting behavior! This isn’t my first terrible experience at wegmans either !

Wegmans has everything I need, plus helpful staff. I like the Marketplace location because its less crowded. They dont always have as much organic produce as their East Ave or other locations, though.
