My wife and I are Canadian and have been overwhelmed and frustrated with the terrible service we were getting at our Canadian lumber stores. We decided to look into the United States for help and ended up working with a great representative from Dillman and Upman “Paul Phedran. Paul worked with us and we decided to order our Timbertech decking materials. Paul was very helpful and made us feel very trusting and comfortable as we were about to commit a very large amount of money sight unseen. Today our order arrived with everything very well packed and in excellent condition. I cannot wait to visit their facility to place our next order to complete our double deck with the rail system Paul has described to us. Money well spent with people we can trust. We recently had our kitchen remodeled by Dillman and Upton and they did a great job. Everyone from the designer Ted, project manager Amy, remodeler Pete, electrician Scott, floors Joe, and plumber were all very professional. They showed up when scheduled, explained things, answered questions, and overall did a great job. I felt it was an easy process and highly recommend Dillman and Upton for remodeling projects.

Very well stocked hardware department. Some of the best quality lumber and millwork in the area at very reasonable pricing. Ive been buying supplies there for over 35 years. Dont buy at the big box stores without comparing to Dillman & Upton.

Supposedly they are a door dealer for Simpson Doors, I got their number from SimpsonDoors website. I called for a pricing and when told the guy what I called about he simply hung up the phone.

Disappointed. We have used this company for many projects (doors, remodel, etc.) although the products are nice, the workmanship and customer service have been disappointing. They failed to inspect a set of French doors upon our complaint and missed several defects in the warranty period. We had to fight to have the SET of doors replaced and stained (we were initially offered one unstained door. After many communications they finally made it right.) Now, a toilet they installed has fallen apart. It is clear that they installed a cracked toilet and knew or should have known it was cracked (it had UPC stickers holding cracked parts together on the back of the toilet.) They are refusing to provide us a whole new toilet and we are responsible for removal and installation. They clearly don’t care about keeping customers or doing what’s right. My family will take our business elsewhere in the future.

Started with window installation and is now my go to for wood as well. Great service and staff. Only issue is the hours of operation.. I do most of my projects on the weekends and after work.

I have used Dillman & Upton for a wide variety of projects for the last 15 years. From Building a new home from the ground up, to numerous remodeling adventures. The service has been outstanding every time. They stock high quality materials and deliver quickly. I enjoy interacting with their knowledgable staff. Every time I have a home improvement project it is the first place I go.

We hired Dillman & Upton for our kitchen renovation, because we thought that they were a reputable contractor. Apparently, things have changed. We used one of their designers, and she seemed like she had a good vision for the job, and my wife helped pick out the materials with her. The first couple weeks of the project went well, but then through poor communication and little attention to detail the kitchen my wife picked turned into the kitchen they wanted to convince us to keep.We have been waiting 8 weeks to fix the issues that we originally had throughout the process. Our kitchen has not been finished yet! My wife has been met with nothing but excuses, and we feel like after the first few weeks we were too small of a project to worry about.We are not angry or irrational people, although, it seems like with this contractor you only get what you want when you get mad. If you feel like keeping tabs on every subcontractor that comes in, basically do the contracting yourself, then this is the company for you. I guess the two large payments we made were enough for them.Just dont want the same thing to happen to anyone else!

Ever since we moved to the area 27 years ago, I have gone to Dillman & Upton for all of my hardware store needs as well as lumber. I cannot say enough about ALL of the staff there. They are extremely friendly and helpful beyond belief.

Ordered a fire door to be installed in our condo. The process was completed satisfactorly. Happy with the install. The communication back and forth through the process could use improvement. I complained about this and the owner Brad Upton personally contacted me and appologized.

They delivered 2x8s when I want home. The first time half were complete garbage. The second time only a few were bad. It took them three deliveries to produce suitable wood for building. The staff inside was pleasant and responsive. The price was comparable to other lumberyards in the area. The quality was substandard. I also purchased materials from Johns Lumber and Boulyards. All purchased between November 2014 and April 2015. Dillman & Upton had the worst quality wood. I havent used them since.

We originally decided to hire this company for their reputation and history in our area. We are all about supporting small businesses in the area. Our experience has been riddled with constant disappointment. Communication with subcontractors has been horrible. They have made mistakes with measurements, and each subcontractor has left a large detail out during each phase of construction. We feel that we have had to take over as the contractor, and we have been met with excuse after excuse. We have been waiting for the last 8 weeks for issues to be fixed, and feel like we are not important to them anymore. I guess after two payments toward the job they do not mind just leaving the little guy to wait.Our patience has worn thin, and we do not want this to happen to anyone else.

I am so disappointed in this company at this time. I have spent over 200,000.00 building 2 houses using this company and their products in the past 7 years. I have a broken Jeldwen window that I purchased thru them. I spoke with Russ and was told that it was an 85 fee for them to come and measure and do the work. He also told me that it would be more expensive to just have the glass replaced as opposed to a new sash (whole window). I went ahead and said ok trusting them, to find out that when they get to your house to measure, after Brian is done he wants $85.(JUST TO MEASURE) REALLY I HAVE NEVER PAID ANYONE TO COME OUT AND MEASURE SOMETHING THAT I MIGHT ORDER FROM THEM. Brian informs me that it is $85 to measure and $85 to install per hour. WOW!! So I call Russ which gave me the first information and he says I misunderstood that yes its $85 everytime they come out. Just received a phone call from Henderson glass and its 279.00 for EVERYTHING. Measuring was FREE and the installation price is in with the price of the window. Lets think about this...over $400 for the window with 85 how many times verses 279 total....hmmm ok Im done thinking. I am going with Henderson just on principle now. I will not do business with a company that cant tell you the truth the first time and blames me for the problem. I hope that $85 was worth it because I will NEVER do business with Dillman and Upton again and I will tell ALL of my friends about this and not to use them also!! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, THEY DONT CARE. When people spend large amounts of money in your store you should cut them a little slack for the next time...well there wont be a next time for me. Put that $85 where the sun doesnt shine!!!!!!!!!
