John and Ryan are great, and theyre always friendly and happy to help. Ive taken probably half a dozen vehicles to them over the years, from my old beater Oldsmobile to junk 90s minivans to my new 2018 Toyota. They do good work and stand behind it. Would recommend.

Recommended by a coworker and friend I called car-x . Thought the rear calipers were locked up.. Thankfully they were not. Replaced front and back brakes and rosters. but they gave me all the deals and coupons they could to help me out! Feel much safer now driving.

I came to carx and was assisted by Ryan Sports The assistant store manager # 1404 & (with out no exaggeration) was blown away by the sincere honest service as well as effort he put into helping me understand the issues I was dealing with; In regards to the actual safety concerns regarding his personal evaluation of my vehicle and what was discovered upon further evaluation. He assisted in incorporating the fair purchase of 2 rims that could not be purchased through their inventory and I had to make myself do this review for his shop because I get busy and side tracked; Fair and honest Is hard to find for me ESPECIALLY when it comes to automobiles and the needing mechanical repairs. I will not go anywhere else from here on out. Staff is very friendly. As a woman with little knowledge of cars, I never feel like I am being taken advantage of and they are always upfront about any problems. Prices are fair.

They were able to get me in immediately. They recommended new tires eventually, but I appreciated that they didn’t try to push the more expensive fix, and instead recommended something that would solve my problem and not cost an arm and a leg. I felt they were very honest. I will definitely return.

I have been a customer of Car x for years. I first started utilizing at the recommendation of a co-worker who is very mechanically inclined. I also am mechanically inclined but have chosen to stop doing my own work as I have aged and am impressed with their honesty. They do not pile on unnecessary repairs and their price is fair if not a value above others I have encountered.The staff is professional and customer oriented.Bravo for old school customer service and honesty.

The folks at Car-X were awesome. Had a wheel that was out of balance due to an improperly plugged tire on a vehicle I just purchased. We found out that there was tire slime in the wheel as well. They cleaned the rim and tire, patched the tire properly, and got me on my way ASAP. The price was good and no more highway speed shake. Definitely recommend!

This location is great! TRUST THEM TOTALLYI visited another different company for an oil change in the past two weeks. That location claimed I needed a new battery and wiper blades.This Car X location told me the truth, that my battery and wiper blades were good for more months.They also checked my brakes said they were fine and NO CHARGE.Very honest and fair staff.

Twice within the first several months we came to this shop, the manager told us we needed something replaced. He said the part didnt look original, so if we had the paperwork we could probably go back and get it replaced for free. He won our trust and we have stayed with them for over 20 years. They are honest and friendly. We continue to trust them and refer friends to them.

By far the best auto care experience Ive ever had in my life. Im 60 years old. On Christmas Eve I came in and got my oil changed I have never experienced friendlier customer service from the manager Ryan and the young woman that worked on my vehicle her name is Danny.Very professional, no nonsense, no smoke and mirrors and no switch and bait. Just plain old helpful, proud to be Rochester service.If I could I would give ten stars. They deserve it.

Ive been taking my car here for a second opinion after the dealer suggested I needed a new battery 3 months after it had been replaced. I feel the team is honest and costs are reasonable. I never feel they are trying to hustle my wife when she takes the car in. Service is always completed before or by the time they say. New to the area, but not San Antonio. Went looking for a care care center and pulled in. My husband took care of the mechanics of our vehicles, but he is no longer with me. Told them of a noise my car was making, and within 10 minutes they had it in a bay, did a courtesy check, then came out and told me the issue. I asked what I owed, and they said nothing! Think about that. Nothing! Said it was a simple fix, and they fixed it. I stopped at one other place on West Ave before them, and my gut didn’t feel right. Pulled in here next, and I truly believe they were meant to be my Car-X place! Thankful for these guys. Not to mention their personalities are spot on with the public! Glad you’re here!

I have an older Ford, so I am always worried about taking to any place for an oil change or any kind of maintenance. I feel like problems that my car may have will be blown up more then what they really are in hopes that they will make more money off me. My neighbor told me about the location on West Avenue, and I took it in for a routine oil change. Hands down one of the best places I have ever been to. No one was pushy, everything was explained and I even got a discount!! While there are minor repairs needed, I wasnt made to feel like it was life or death. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone needing a routine oil change or minor car repair.

The guys here are very friendly and and reliable. My fiance brought his car here several times a month for oil changes, since he drives a lot. The prices are great with their mailed coupons. We recently moved from MN to St Louis and we will miss these guys dearly. The day before we moved we had gotten an oil change. The morning we went to leave town on Saturday May 18th the check engine light came on. We sat in front of their store and waited for them to open. As soon as the gentleman got to the store to open, he came running out to help before they were even open. Luckily it was something silly but this just shows how great they are. Thank you to everyone at CarX!!

Honestly the nicest people I have ever met. My radiator blew 1 hour away from my house and although they werent able to do anything that day, they stayed late and helped me look for a hotel to spend the night in. They were very informative and helpful!

Quick and friendly service.

I called the night before wanting to take my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. I asked if I needed an appointment. I was told no, just bring it in at 9 a.m. and they would get me in, maybe 40 minutes. I brought it in and it took 3 1/2 hours before my vehicle was completed. I was the next car, when I brought it in. I left, after an hour, and came back a few times to see if it was done. When it finally got finished, they never talked to me about anything and my receipt doesnt say I got my tire rotation. Yes, they did apologize for taking so long, that the cars before me took so long.

Guys are great here. They will always let you know whats best for your vehicle. Glad to do business with Car-X.

Ive taken several of my cars to CarX over the years. Courteous service, technicians knowledgeable. Fair prices, I never feel that I am being taken advantage of. From tires, oil change to new brakes they have done it all for me.

When my starter went bad, they got me right in on Saturday morning (on short notice, no less) and had me up and running in just an hour. Fast, solid, dependable service! Would definitely seek services again in the future from here.

These guys are fantastic! Have taken both of our vehicles there for almost 5 years. They always call and tell you exactly what they found BEFORE they do any work and they tell you how much it will cost. They are always honest about what needs to be done now, and what can wait. They have never once done any work or charged me for anything that they didnt call me about first and I have always been happy with their work. I trust John and his team completely with my vehicles. I have no clue how their prices compare to other shops because I have never bothered to go anyplace else since moving to Rochester. I dont think they are more expensive than other places, but If they are, I dont care. Their honesty and integrity are worth it.

Bought a car at Car-X lot by its employee, he assure that the car is good and I can bring back in if any issue. When I drove car home, the radiator tube busted out and empty all coolant, and the engine was overheated. I checked the hose and see there are many plastic tape wrap around the broken area. I called the seller he said I dont even think about set my step there at Car-X. When I check back the title not even in the seller name. I wonder if Car-X let their employee do sell salvaged car abandon by customers and share the profit, if not then I hope the owner should figure out and fire the person who sell car using Car-X name, its terrible .

Very reasonable price for an oil change (about $22 after tax) and the mechanics dont try to haggle you into all the unnecessary extras. Ive also gotten fair quotes for tire changes here. The staff are speedy and laid back as well.
