Horrible service. Pick up order was set for 10am waited over an hour for our vehicle to be ready. Ordered a van and was told they didn’t have any left so would give us an SUV. 30 minutes later of waiting for our suv to be cleaned they said they have a van because someone canceled. They had a van ready for a person who canceled, but nothing ready for us when we have booked over a month ahead.... regardless we did receive a vehicle ONE HOUR AND THIRDY MINUTES later.

I was super happy with the place until... I needed service on a car I got the extended warranty on. Nobody mentioned the deductible no one mentioned that rental cars aren’t covered no one mentioned the 3 grand basically gets you nothing. I knew better than to go here I knew better than to get the extended package but they sure do make it sound amazing until you try to use it. Avoid the place at all costs. No wonder the company is going under.

I just bought a 2018 Chevy Sonic Premier, so for now all I can review is the buying experience. I appreciate that Hertz is a no pressure, no drama sales environment. There was no haggling and my usual, car buying anxiety was gone. Tony was quick to respond and kept up great communication. I would recommend this Hertz to friends.

Got a good deal on a 4day $35 a day rental then wanted to extend it 3 more days went to the office no problem we will add it to your card.extended it another 3 days by phone no problem. Final bill $796. When queried was told rates go up and down daily.At no time was I informed about a rate change .office manager said I was,but didnt know who i spoke to.Customer relations and billing said I must have agreed so they could charge my card.i signed consent the first rental period .was not informed of any changes thereafter.did not seem to care .be warned .

Hertz Car Rentals on Indiana Ave really came through for us at the last minute when another car rental business (HINT: starts with an E) called us 2 and a half hours before pick up to tell us they did NOT have any vehicles available after all. We called Hertz and explained our last minute search, and within an hour we were driving out of their lot with a Suburban. I appreciate Hertzs professionalism and dependability.

I wanted to buy a car that was reliable, so since Hertz has to maintain their fleet for rentals, I thought, they would be a safe bet. I had my mind made up that I was going to buy a car that day, unless the prices were too high. they have a no haggle policy, so I won’t have to worry about trying to get a better deal. After looking around at the information sticker, I noticed there were no prices listed,( I would have to have a sales person follow me around). I saw a lot of the same cars, but in different colors, but than I saw “THE CAR”!!! I told the sales person, that I wanted to buy it, so we started the process. I said that I had cash in hand, but was told, I would have to at least finance it until I got the loan papers. Since they only had 1, I agreed, but was not happy. I had 2 different people try to sell me additional coverage, even though I told the sales agent, I was not interested in spending a dime more than I had to. After waiting 45 minutes to have them process the paperwork, I was shocked to discover they charged me $85, for that paperwork. When I asked can I do this without, paperwork?, he laughed. How is that fine?? The final blow was the day I finally got my loan information in the mail, and found out from the moment I signed on the dotted line, I was charged interest. I paid it off the very next day.In closing they have a lot of inventory. I would say, the sales staff are polite, but definitely aren’t giving you all the information. They try to up sell you, to make more money for them and the bank.

I bought a car last year from Riverside Hertz, suppose to come with one year or 12,000 miles extended warranty.... I had problem with the car before the end of my extended warranty, I called the warranty company and was told they don’t have any record of my car (which basically means I don’t have a warranty) .... I called my salesman to inform him with the problem and he told me to call the finance guy ( and he gave me the wrong number of his own coworker ), when I finally got the right number I called 3 times and left messages But no one return my call .... now my warranty ( which never existed) has expired and my car need major repair work.It’s sad and unfortunate that the staff is nice, and friendly before and during the sale but ignore your calls and concerns once the sale is completed .....btw I do have the names of the salesman and finance guy if the manager care to know .

So they overcharged me for my registration which is pretty standard with a lot of dealerships. they sent me a check for $405 I deposited into my bank, it bounced, the bank charged me $20 for insufficient fund check. when I called them they said that they had filed bankruptcy and gave me an attorney’s phone number. I called the attorney and spoke with them. they returned my call a week later and said that the check should be mailed out they had permission to send it. I’ve been calling them for three months now and they keep avoiding my calls and will not return that money.

I purchased a car at Hertz Car Sales Riverside December 2018. It was missing 2 outer headrests on the 3rd row seat. They promised me they will order it because it’s a safety issue. It has been over 4 months and I still don’t have the headrests. It has been very frustrating following up. They don’t even call me to apologize. Instead, when I call to follow-up every week if that it’s in back order. I spoke to the manager several times and all he would say is it’s in back order. So I called Toyota if it’s not available. The person in Toyota I spoke to asked for the VIN of the vehicle so he could search and they have it in 3 different states but would take about 5-7 business days for shipping. The only thing is that it’s expensive. So now, I don’t understand why it’s been over 4 months and I still don’t have the headrests. Maybe Hertz is just waiting for me to get tired of following up. This is a safety issue and by Hertz doing this, it makes me feel they don’t care about their customers anymore after the sales. I tried calling their customer service too. They said they will inform the area manager and contact me as well. It has been a couple of weeks when they said that, and same thing. No one has contacted me about it. So frustrating. If I could give zero stars I would.

I can’t remember the name of the sales guy that helped me but he was an older Hispanic male and was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. I would definitely buy another car from him. I originally had an issue with the car I purchased (mechanical issues) and they went ahead and traded the car for another one at the same price.

I interacted with Tony, the salesman he was courteous and professional. Like any car buyer I expect to drive away with no major flaws on my major purchase. The van we looked at had a chunk of the rim missing when we asked the manager of the day to have the rim swapped out or fixed he refused so we had to walk away. I guess he wasnt worried about customer satisfaction or sales driven for that matter!

Love this place. Cars are fleet maintained. Add the warranty everytime, but havent used it since 2001. Price is always cheaper. Lots of selection. Between me, family, and friends, we have bought a dozen vehicles here since 2000. (They closed and reopened sometime in the mid 2000s). No pressure. Pick a car and buy it. Once, in 2014, I bought a car in 90 minutes, start to finish. I am here now, buying another for my wife.

This dealership has a tons of used cars at great prices. What I liked about this dealer is that they have high quality cars without the inflated price. We visited several dealerships and what we e found was that the prices at Hertz could not be beat. Also Hiroshi Torres was the salesman that helped us. He was really awesome. He was honest with us, not pushy at all and he was super knowledgeable about the inventory.

My experience here was horrible to say the least. Big word of advice just come in, do not sign up to be contacted for more information because you will start getting aggressive texts immediately. My salesperson was Louie who was incompetent and a bully to say the least. There was one car on the website for Riverside I really wanted and after asking me what color car I liked he told me the car I was interested was not in stock and to select other options. I told him that car was the only reason I wanted to go to Hertz in Riverside because it was an hour away from my house. He said I could go to any location but my credit score would drop each time it was run and I may not get approved again. Despite me telling him I didn’t want to go to that location he ran my credit score twice without my permission making it drop. He said in a text he wanted me to buy from him and was disappointed I wasn’t which is why he kept running it. I ended up buying at the Torrance Location because I was so unhappy with the service I received. I have tried to call the manager at this location and make a corporate compliant without a call back and with no success. Do not shop here end of story.

At first I was apprehensive about buying a rental car. I know that many times these cars can be abused. I dont think I would buy a performance car (Mustang, Camaro) or a luxury model as these are more likely to be rented on a lark. That being said, Hertz offers a very reasonable extended warranty on their cars. Even Dent and windshield repair. The price is hard to beat. The interest rate was great. The car was in very good shape and very little dings from stones and things of that nature. Considering that one day parked in a parking lot can mean the difference between a perfect car and one with a major scratch this was not a big deal. Maybe someone would be less likely to bother breaking my car in and giving me my first scratch or ding seeing that its not perfect? I am very happy with the car and the service provided. They addressed all my issues and even pointed out a few that I hadnt noticed, to make sure I didnt go home and become upset. I recommend at least checking out how much you can save, and the 3 day rent before you buy option, can be a real good thing if you are not sure of the car you want.

Rented a 300 Chrysler on June 13th from this Hertz. We left at 3 a.m. on the way to a 12 + hour drive. On the freeway we started to experience problems with the front end and called into roadside service for help. Well, because it was 3 a.m. no other Hertz was open in order swap out a car. We were told to keep driving and then call back after 8:00 a.m. and maybe by the time we get to the next city that has a Hertz location that possibly we could then swap out. Well, that did not happen, no Hertz had a car that they could give to us, so then we had to continue driving praying that we would make it. Then we called back and were told to go to a few different locations to pick up a car, first location did not have the vehicle that we were told they did have, the next place same thing, so on and so for 16 hours we received no new car. Oh, it continues for the next 4 and one half days. We were told to take the car into Firestone to have them fix it and they would pay for it. Not taking into consideration that were had plans and this was not our car. We were also told that they would come and pick the car and they would then end our contract. This would leave us Stuck with nothing. Roadside service is horrible has no consideration for the safety of their customers. In order for us to have the car exchanged we had to get approval from a General Manager who was at a Fathers Day function with his son and had to take the call from one of his employees in order to sign off on having a car towed from a city 3 hours away. this also ruined my Husbands Father Day. I could go on but this would turn into a book. So,. .. I will update you as to what Hertz does now that we are returning the vehicle. Note: I have one star because I had to under to write this review, however my true rating would be minus 1 star so basically no rating available.

+ you get a good price for a car that you know was on a regular maintenance schedule for oil changes+low pressure sales- only comes with one key (wasnt told till after purchase)- no floor mats- Previous Issues not fixed to factory standards, just cosmetic Band-Aids.8/21/18 edit: contacted the email they left below my review, no response. Forwarded to another address they leave below others reviews and received a response. The response just said they would have the Riverside Hertz manager contact me, one month later, no contact.Be sure to check out everything on the car. My Hyundai Sonata came with a couple issues:-The bumper was glued in one corner before I purchased the vehicle. I took the car back to see if they could fix this problem and their solution was to use ordinary screws in the wheel well to hold it in place. Yes it works, but not fixed to a new status and the screws will probably rust after awhile.-Employee had to fill my tire with air before I left and there was a slight noise from the same tire that I thought was probably from sitting with a low tire. Took the car back to get the tire fixed and ask about the noise since it was still losing air. The shop that fixed the leak and both Hertz and the shop that fixed it dismissed my question about the noise. Months later the noise is still there from the tire being cupped, not a big deal but an annoying noise to deal with.Just be sure to check everything carefully before purchasing and dont ignore any noises while test driving like I did..

Coming into Hertz today I was completely expecting to have to deal with pushy, self-interested salesman who would see that I was a young woman and try to take advantage of that. Instead I was warmly met by Kurt, and the Hertz team. He walked me through the whole process with a warm heart and a genuine smile. Him and Anita went completely above and beyond when it came to financing my car, and I ended up leaving with a new car and peace of mind. I literally could not have asked for a better experience.

Very honest, kind, non-pushy dealership that was willing to help us find the perfect car pressure free. Great people and exceptionally patient, the cars were also very well maintained and had a detailed guarantee of inspection. This was a giant relief after visiting Hyundai of Riverside, who attempted to hide service records and sell overpriced used cars to us with broken tail lights and barbecue sauce smeared inside.

EXTREMELY disappointed in the service received at Hertz. After my husband got out of the military we relocated here (back home). We were trying to trade in my car because we were having issues switching it over from Montana to here and if we were to trade it the dealer would not have the same issues that we were having. We were assured that by the DMV and Hertz. We selected a car, started the paper work process, and were going back in forth with the sales associate helping us. He couldnt remember a thing I told him repeatedly and would consistently make comments as if he was unsure that it was a possible trade or sale? I have never experienced this before and my husband and I have bought multiple cars. I could never get anyone to tell me what they were going to offer me for the car I was trading after it was appraised and then I just never heard back from the associate who was helping us. Do not waste your time or money here. I then called to speak to the manager about this and immediately she blew up on me telling me that theyve called me multiple times and couldnt get a hold of me. I had ONE missed call from them and she was EXTREMELY rude. Dont waste your time here. Theyre all rude in my opinion.

Unfortunately I wont use this Hertz again. Had a reservation, but had to wait around for over 30mins while they got it cleaned and ready, then had to repair the slow leak in the tire! Instead of just giving us another car, we had to wait for the one they assigned to us! Not good customer service.

Bought a used vehicle here for a price that couldnt be beat. Very friendly staff that werent trying to upsell me. The salesmen recommended that I get the extended warranty on the powertrain and Im glad he did. 2 months after the purchase the transmission needed to be replaced and wouldve cost thousands, policy paid for itself the first use. Went on carguru and found a nice 2017 Toyota Corolla LE for a great price. Called into ask how much the car was going to be out the door to avoid any possible scams. Was sent pictures and scheduled an appointment the next day. HIROSHI had me out the door within an our and gave me the exact price we talked about and took the time to show me all the specs. GREAT customer service and very funny guy. Definitely not having buyers remorse.

After shopping around for a late model used car I ended up at Hertz Riverside Auto Sales and bought a 2016 Hyundai Accent. The salesman working with me was Chris and he was very patient as I test drove 6 cars trying to decide which brand/model I was most comfortable driving. Prices were easily 1-3 thousand below the used car prices at the various dealerships. The transaction went very smoothly as I was pre-approved by my Credit Union for the loan. Ive had the car 3 weeks now and am very pleased.

The most unreliable dealership experience Ive ever had. I made an appointment to view a car and was told that itd be there in the morning. Waited from 8am until 7pm with incremental updates - it is coming from the auction warehouse, its on its way, its almost here, etc. At 7pm I cut my losses and left. I never saw the car that I flew in to buy. The car has been listed in the inventory for 30 days. I dont think it actually exists. Nothing against the staff - people that work there are very friendly. Tons against the company and how it operates (or doesnt really operate). The company is so cheap it made me question the car I was there to buy - how well it was handled/serviced/maintained if Hertz is so cheap. Credit card / debit card not accepted. No WiFi on premises. Never again.

They sell cars cheap, & as is- meaning they wash the car & thats it, but have a great warranty with your car purchase. Beware! They REALLY low ball you on your trade in. I got $2500. more for my trade-in @ another dealer & their price on the same car( Fusion) matched Hertz & the car I wound up buying had 25k miles less on it.

Very poor experience with Hertz. I would advise going with another entity to buy a vehicle.My previous vehicle was purchased while I was in the military. It made it through Japan, Korea, Alaska with its harsh winters for a number of years, and being in California for four years. I took very good care of my car and decided I wanted a newer vehicle because why not treat myself.When I went in to buy a vehicle in September 2017, the employees were polite, helpful, and friendly. I’m usually a Honda person because of their reliability, but decided to get a Nissan. While removing the paperwork from the window, their employee ended up pulling a large strip of the tint off the window. Hertz agreed to fix it, but they could not fix it on location. They asked that I call back to speak with the manager. After months of calling and getting, “we’ll take a message and have him call you back,” I took the day off work to drive over and speak with someone. After speaking with the manager and him agreeing to call me back the next day once he could make a tint appointment, I went home. Never received a phone call. I called daily for 8 days, finally got spoke to someone else who said they were a manager and asked me to come in. I drive over, speak with another person who says they’re a manager, and they send me over to a tint place. He couldn’t even give me an address, just landmarks to look for. I was able to find it by going into another business and asking about tint repair on the area. I explained what happened and the man doing the tint took care of it right away. Great. Happy customer. It took me a couple months total to get it taken care of.Fast forward to January 2018. I’m having some mechanical issues, but the check engine light isn’t on. When I pressed the gas, the vehicle didn’t go anywhere at all. I call Hertz to have it serviced and any necessary repairs made. The employee I spoke to said they can’t service it unless the check engine light comes on. I asked to speak with a manager, got passed around through a few employees before a woman took a message and said someone would call me back. I didn’t receive a call back and none of my subsequent phone calls were returned, so I took it to other places. No one could tell me what was going on because the check engine light wasn’t on. The problem appeared to have gone away on its own, so okay.In June 2018, I started having an entirely different problem with the RPMs running unusually high. No check engine light. I called Hertz to have it serviced, examined and any necessary repairs made. The employee I spoke to said -as they did last time- that they can’t service it unless the check engine light comes on (how did you all manage to make repairs before check engine lights?). I asked to speak with a manager, the man I spoke with took a message and said he’d have the manager call me back. No call back even though I’ve called almost weekly for the last 4 weeks to no avail. I called the 1-800-Nissan-1 and they recommended that I take it to a Nissan dealership. I went to a Nissan dealership and was told that my warranty is with Hertz and a third-party company, so I would need to take it to Hertz or pay out of pocket.I work full-time and go to school full-time, so I don’t have the time or disposable income to keep going back and forth or pay for repairs that already paid $1700 for in my extended warranty. Since my warranty says I cannot drive my vehicle while it’s having mechanical problems and no one can find a problem without a check engine light being on (again...how did you all manage before?), I’m paying for a vehicle I cannot drive and paying for the city bus to get to/from work. Thank goodness I chose all online classes for the upcoming semester in school.

Have shopped at many dealers before and I prefer a place that has more to offer, it is okay to me that the sales people do not know every single thing about the cars, I had over 10 manufacturers to choose from!! I have purchased 2 cars from Hertz Car Sales in the past, and both times it was an exceptional experience, John who manages the rent to own program is a pleasure to deal with, in fact my experience was so good that I just got online and made a reservation to rent a Cadillac ATS to do a 3 day test run, I love the model so as long as the car is in the great condition my other 2 cars where in Im sue I will complete yet another deal with them. I do not recommend this dealer. The cars that I saw were not kept in test drive ready condition. Despite being prior rentals I expected the cars to be in much better condition. I scheduled a test drive several days in advance only to arrive to a car that was dirty inside (front carpet) and out. When I arrived the car was dripping wet like it had just been squirted off with the hose. I was only able to test drive the car on the street not the fwy were I could only drive up to 40mph which is negative. I was told over the phone that when I arrived that I could take the car for two to three hours to have a mechanic look at it but when I asked at the location I was told that it was not allowed. After explaining that I was just told that this was ok a couple of hours earlier I was told that I could take the car for one hour like they were doing me a favor which I declined. I was offered an interest rate that was higher than any other dealer that I had been in contact with and they did not get me down to an acceptable payment so I did not purchase a car. They let me walk out the door unhappy which tells me that they dont value their customers.

When you buy a used car from a dealership they got it from a rental service and dont know anything about it. Hertz on the other hand knows everything about their cars and history because its their own cars and you cant beat the price

This is the second car bought through Hertz for our family and I would have it no other way. Antoine was great from the moment we started looking for cars online and he called to me to see if there was anything he could help with. No pressure, listened to our situations and hopes... multiple times. Didnt bug, just followed up with finesse now and again. Once all was said and done, he hung around to take pictures and give my daughter a once over of the car. I highly recommend buying a car this way.

Ive been corresponding with the Hertz Riverside Dealership regarding the purchase of a vehicle. They quoted me a price in writing for a specific vehicle on their lot. When it came down to the purchase order, suddenly the price of the same exact vehicle increased by $1,100, and they were unwilling to honor their written offer. I find this completely unethical. I would not do business with this dealership as not only are they unethical, their internet sales team is completely incompetent.

I just bought a Dodge Avenger from Hertz Car Sales and I have to say that the experience was not what I was expecting. As a first time buyer I was very nervous to walk onto a dealership lot and buy a car. I thought it was going to be a very stressful and hard experience, but I was wrong. I had a stress free day and drove home in my new car with no problems. Everyone was very nice and extremely helpful. I would recommend hertz to anyone I know.

Made a daily reservation online and clarified specs in person to make sure I could turn it in early. Only to find out that employee changed my reservation to a weekly rental so now I have to pay for time I dont need the car! He never even ask me to change it or explained that I would still be charged for time I dont need it. Bad business. Last time Ill be using them.

I wish I could post a good review. But instead I will give a warning instead. But first, I have purchased Hertz cars at east 6 times, all were very pleasant experiences, until this time. The sales people really do just shoot the breeze while you wait for them in their office to do their stuff (run credit, etc.). After 20 minutes we actually got up and found them just doing that. Irritating and rude. We nicely gave them a time limit and they moved it right along. 40 days later we received the incorrect registration, with a lienholder and no tags. The manager said it would take a while since the bank would need to release it. Looks like they need new management. Try a different office, Hertz is all over the place.

I had so many problems with Hertz rental i don’t know where to start I was once president circle member with Hertz rental and I will never rent another car with Hertz rental they have the worst support Team every time I had a problem and Reached out to they support Team or they’re customer service department..they did absolutely nothing But give me advice . They hire employees with no customer experience I rented cars with Hertz for over 20 years I rented a car for up to a year at tImes without returning I Brought Hertz a lot of New customers when I first began a customer not knowing how I would be treated as Time passed I rented so many cars that I Became a President Circle Member and even as a President Circle Member I was Treated terrible By they’re customer relations department and they’re Customer Service Department I also saw so many customers treated poorly and once saw a fist Fight in the Moreno Valley and the Riverside rental office I had to stop renting cars with Hertz I now rent with AVIS and I’ Became preferred Plus Member in just 6 months because I rent so many cars and I keep the cars I rent for months at a Time this is my experience and my personal opinion.. Horrendous customer service, if you can call it that! I called three times to verify what I needed to rent an economy car. I was told each time to bring a bank card with a Visa or MasterCard logo. No problem. So I reserve a car, and on the day of my pickup to go to a teachers conference in Las Vegas, I show up, then Im told I need a CREDIT CARD, and only that will be accepted. I wasted money and time on Uber to get there just to find out they flat out lied to me by phone three times, consecutively. I choose another rental service, and within an hour of wasted time, I was finally on the road. Late, of course, thanks to them. I might also add that the woman behind the counter did not greet me, and while I was giving her my reservation number, she got up and left the room for several minutes without saying a single word! What on Earth? Just rude! She came back and never so much as said Excuse me a moment. Nothing. Terrible business! Please find another rental company.

Completely unprofessional gave me a car that broke down three weeks later they dismiss any problems that you have with the car can’t wait till after my lease is up I will never come here or recommend anyone here ever again
