My mother purchased furniture from these people in April and they still havent got it delivered. She just told me this morning that she will probably never get to enjoy her new living room furniture before she dies. Shes 73 years old. She might not be lying.
I went in today and was looking for recliners. Anna greeted me after I walked in. She was very nice. I purchased 2 reclining chairs. everyone was very nice.

My wife and I recently bought a new living room group from your store in Richmond. Wendell was really nice when we first visited the store and then when we returned to purchase we dealt with the sales lady by the name of Katie. Everyone was very helpful and if there is complaint it would be why we had to buy the extended service on the furniture to get 24 months interest free after we were told that anything over $2000 spent would qualify for it on the initial visit. But the furniture seems really nice and hopefully will serve us well for many years to come. Thanks!

Lots of furniture to look at. Wide range of prices so its a good choice for lots of people. They usually have good sales around major holidays. Only reason they dont get 5 stars is it wasnt easy to find some sales help! To say its not a high pressure sales store is an understatement.

Worst customer service in my life! I would rate them less than a one star if possible. The sales associates are rude and not helpful. I ordered one couch and it arrived 4 days late. Then they told me my couch was not there because it had been returned to layaway to a different store. I had to take the couch on the sales floor. If that was the case, I could have taken that couch on day one! Then they did not offer any assistance moving the couch or take any discounts after their mistakes. I will not be returning here again. Save your time and money. Youve been warned of the headache.
I ordered a wonderful bedroom set for our spare bedroom in May. Drivers were friendly and very careful. They put everything in and together and one of the dresser door handles was missing (manufacturer defect). They wrote it up on the invoice and said someone would call me in a few days and have someone come out and fix it. It is now July 11th. I went in and talked to them a month ago. They said manufacturer sent the wrong part ( no they didnt call me to tell me this). I called today and they said they will call me tomorrow ( I will call them early). They do not follow up with you. And have poor customer service. I would recommend going somewhere else. Update: They still have not called me back. So I called them and keep getting transferred to the warranty and repair department that nobody ever answers. I have left numerous messages with NO REPLY.

April 2015 I placed an order for a couch. The sales woman (Pam) said it would arrive in 8 weeks. It arrived the first week of July (12 weeks later) Since then, I have fallen on hard times just like most all of us. Car repairs, family illness etc. Unfortunately, I am unable to complete the other $199.00 that I owe for the couch because my daughters safety is MORE important than a couch!! I am very disappointed that I cannot get a refund on the money that I surely could use for other MORE important things in life. But, I guess you all dont have any children or family that you would be able to understand. Pam only offered me store credit. What I need is credit to pay for car repairs that were a NECESSITY and get a couch later on that is not a NECESSITY!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I know where I will not shop again after this episode!!! FURNITURE WORLD SUPERSTORE!!!! I will read REVIEW before I purchase ANYWHERE!!!
Just want to say that Furniture World in Richmond is a fantastic place to buy furniture AND accessories to help you decorate your home. I was so pleased with the helpful sales staff. And, I was truly surprised when I received a handmade pillow ornament as a gift. I wish every store was as friendly as this store. :)
Spent over 2300 dollars,and they had 2 weeks before I pick it up, the table was damaged, the bed didnt have all the parts, I called them said come on by and pick them up, drove 1hr and 1/2 and they didnt have them, ordered them and had the parts sent, 3 weeks goes by, still no parts, called again, ordered them again finally got everything I needed a month and a week later! The bed head board wasnt assembled correctly had to redo the whole thing, re glued and screwed, I wasnt waiting for another month for that repair! I will not go back! So if you get something, box is opened dont buy it! Unless you like waiting!

Nice furniture no pressure from sales persons
I was there two days after Thanksgiving. I bought a couch, love seat, recliner, and a set of mattresses. The sales lady, Christine, told me that everything was there except the mattress set and she was positive that the next truck had those. She told me that I would get the delivery on Dec. 8. I called on Tuesday and Wednesday and no one knew if it was going to be delivered. I called back on Wed. evening and the lady that answered the phone looked up my order and said she didnt see my name on the delivery schedule. She gave me the number to the main warehouse in Lexington and the guy there said that all my order had not come in and it would be the 15th before I would get my order. My question is if all my order was at the store except for the mattresses, why am I waiting for a recliner? It was supposed to be there already.

Beware of this place! Their wonderful warranties mean NOTHING. After saving for so long and going in debt for a nice heavy duty living room suit we bought one here, a huge sectional... $2,700.00 with a 3 yr warranty on the construction and 10 yr warranty on the fabric. It started falling apart after a few months, cushions ripped, the arm caved in, the springs broke and came thru, the back support boards broke causing it to collapse. During all of this I called, complained, begged, went in and talk to managers,even talked to the owner in the lexington branch...they refused to do anything or honor the warranty. They tried making us feel like it was our fault. Upon moving it out crushed press wood fell everywhere, we opened the bottom to see it was framed with nothing but thin presswood. A crying shame. Shame on you people for doing good people so dirty. I will advise everyone I know to never buy from you.
If I could give this less than 1 star I would. My husband and I ordered several pieces of furniture from them. Our dining room set was the last one they had and it was on the floor. It took us a month to get the furniture that we ordered that was on the floor. It took almost 2 months to get our sectional that we ordered. When the delivery men called, they refused to try to work with our schedules. We work and go to school, theres no way we can clear our schedules the night before the delivery. They would not give a time frame of delivery until the night before which was a huge inconvenience. They told us our sectional would be delivered April 7th. When it did not come we called the store to inquire. They treated us like we had no idea what we were talking about when the delivery dates were written on our receipts. They were not helpful at all. We will not be purchasing furniture from them again. We do not recommend unless you have several months to wait for furniture.

Had the worst experience ever I bought brand new sectional the associate drug it across pavement skinned it up then the manager came out to look at it and insisted that it was like that already and was going to going return me $50 dollars back on a 1,000 sectional and insisted that was a good deal and I cld put shoe polish over it crappy crappy management and store!
