I think that Shipley’s donuts is hands down the best tasting donuts around. There are many local donut shops in the area and I’m not saying they’re bad, they’re just not Shipley’s. Shipley’s has such a unique taste that nothing else compares to it. With regards to service, they are fast to get your donuts, or kolache or whatever specialty donut they sell. Highly recommended.

As a donut shop the least u can do is teach your employees on how to back the darn donuts. Its also dispicable if a seasoned employee packs your donuts like this. Rediculous and waste of time and money

It’s disappointing to come home to the wrong order and have to trash it, not to mention the receipt is always right. This is a constant with them I order ham and cheese kolache and it never fails for them to give me a sausage( I don’t eat beef). Waste of money

I went in this morning and bought 30 donuts for my daughters class since it is her birthday today and she wanted donuts for her class. The ladies there were very rude and didn’t even say hi when I walked in. What made it worse is that I purchased 6 donuts in addition to the 30 to take them home and when I opened them they had packed them so tight that ALL the icing on the chocolate and glazed donuts had stuck to the liner. So disappointing. They need to correct this place before it goes out of business!!! *Attitudes and service is horrible!!

Is amazing how during high volumes of clients Shipley Donuts cant manage to keep things in order. During todays visit my order was incomplete after repeating it more than three times. It seemed that the employees were freaking out after seeing the lines of vehicles packed up. Nobody seemed to have a sense of direction or leadership. But oh well. If you want half of your ordered items come to this Shipley.

I give them a solid three stars. Sometimes they have the donuts and kolaches, sometimes they are out. Sometimes the service is good, sometimes they are rude. Its honestly a 50/50 chance, but there arent many other choices around at the moment.

The lady handling the money and cash register should NEVER touch the food! That is so disgusting!! I made a complaint because i saw the lady that took my card go to the back to package our food, and the other employee said they use tissue paper and not their hands, still horrible!! Do you all not use gloves?? If you are handling money from different customers your hands should not be anywhere near the food! I will never go back here, the ladies had an attitude with me when I asked for a refund...smh!

We purchased some donuts, their apple filled donut filling was spoiled. I told the Manager and they didnt seem to really care. Replaced my donut with a different type, but they left the remaining donuts on their shelf to be sold. I warned them that others will get sick if they eat them, they didnt seem to much care. Any medical trips for food poisoning and we will sue the snot out of them for sure.BewareAlso they made their cream filled bars very skinny, like 1 inch skinny, no longer the normal 2.5 inch width. Just an observation. Quality, quantity, and customer service have gone way down hill.

WHAT A DISRESPECTFUL COSTUMER SERVICEI ordered 20 regular donuts with no icing but the worker gave me 20 with icing. And then when we brought them back she said that we asked for 20 WITH icing. Best tasting do-nuts in all of Houston area. Shipleys do-nuts dont leave that gross greasy film on the roof of your mouth. Always fresh and the icing is the perfect amount. Well staffed, and clean inside. Drive-thru available as well.

The Hispanic girl at the counter is extremely rude. Once I realized my donuts order was not what I had requested, I knocked on the drive through window so she would fix it. She would not respond to the knocks or the honks for a good 5 minutes. After she did come back and took the box to fix the order, she started licking her fingers before getting the donuts, extremely unsanitary and disgusting. I would not go there again.

I have been going here frequently since they opened many years ago. Always had good service. We actually drive past another donut shop with rude workers to come here. The last few months the staff working here are AWFUL! A few months ago went inside and the lady literally almost rolled her eyes at us and acted like we were putting her out for helping us. She was rude and could care less. I had her at the window once and she had an attitude. The last time I went two weeks ago they were chit chatting with 5 people sitting in cars at the drive thru after I sat already for 10 minutes to pull up. Ignored me for several minutes. 6 months ago I would have given them 5 stars. Fire that asshat team and we will go back.

Shipley Do-Nuts is the place to go when you cant get to Krispy Kreme Donuts. Shipleys kolaches are always fresh and hot and if you get there at the right time their donuts are hot off press! Yum!

The lady at the counter this morning would not talk, was giving me dirty looks and when I asked her a couple questions like did you have kolaches or what are my choices of fillings she would not answer simply point at the menu or the shelf of donuts. The last thing I ordered was 2 pink frosted, with sprinkles for my granddaughters. I asked her to put them in a separate box so they wouldnt get smashed. She refused and shoved them in a bag, sticking the frosting on one to the other. I pulled one out and demanded a second bag. She scowled at me. I made a point to let her know That her attitude needed adjustment. I shop at this location each weekend.... NEVER AGAIN.

You never know if you are going to get a fresh doughnut or kolache or a day old. The fresh are fantastic the day old not so much. I would be nice if the staff cared.

Place was the worst Shipleys Ive ever been to. The lady cut me off mid sentence to answer the phone without any warning, she just left me mid sentence. I asked for fresh glaze donuts (I only go cause I like them hot) and they were all cold. Which is ok if they dont have any but, at least ask to heat them up. I didnt asked I thought they were fresh.And side note, they do not have the jumbo sausage. I dont want a wiener on bread. But thats not the reason for the one star. Its the bad service.

I love donuts but cannot come back here. I think their recipes are bad or the store is unclean but twice Ive felt very sick from the donuts and sometimes I ate them and they felt doughy. Would not come back. Prefer to get the donuts at WalMart in the prepackaged boxes.

As soon as we walked in, the cashier didnt acknowledge us until I said hello. She continued to just stand there PLAYING WITH HER HAIR at counter, ignoring us. I asked if we place the order with her and she responded yea, Im just waiting for you.I told her I wanted a dozen doughnuts, so she stopped playing with her hair and didnt wash her hands. While she was packing the doughnuts, her hair was almost touching the donuts and then she put the box against her mouth. Extremely unsanitary, rude,worst service at Shipleys and I have visited many locations before.Unfortunately this is my second visit here and its the same girl at the counter. If I had remembered I would NOT have returned.I would highly advise a manager to have the staff wear hair nets and not play with their hair at the counter (where the donuts are stored) and actually provide customer service.

Pity, just moved to Harvest Green. Decided to treat my daughter.First and LAST visit. She was going to cycle there and I decided to run her so I could pick up something from Ace. Firstly drive thru only. Guess kids cycling there is a no no.Secondly, I asked for Kolaches, if theyd run out Id have understood, its policy not to serve kolaches after 6pm, but you are open til 8pm!! I asked who made this policy and was told by a young Hispanic lad Dave so I asked what Dave last name was, he didnt know. What employee doesnt know their managers name!!This Einstein is going far, NOT.If hed apologized and said I relay your thoughts, thatd had been some customer serve. This bozo simply does didnt give a c#>p. So we picked up some donut holes and Bavarian cream only, purely so my daughter wasnt disappointed.Thirdly we got home and it was hardly fresh. You dont expect hot as its later in the day, but with a couple of hours till closing, their donuts tasted like it was two days old.Never been treated like this by any other Shipleys.Guess the owner needs Shape up there store or ship out. Id urge my neighbors to go elsewhere.Krogers has a great bakery or bring in a Krispy Kreme, it wouldnt be any effort to out do this sad excuse for a donut shop. Got a really bad vibe from the place. The worst Shirleys ever! I hate that this is the only one close to me. The Hispanic girl needs to be put out of her misery and fired for the way she treats the customers. He attitude is sickening and I find it offensive. I work at a hospital and if I treated my patients that way, I would have lost my job awhile ago. She looks at you as if youre wasting her time. I tried making a purchase with my debit card and she told me with the rudest tone ever that its a 4 dollar limit. I understood that, but when I decided not to use my card and continued to look at the menu, she asked, You want them or not? Luckily I was not in the mood to be confrontational, so I told her, Yes! Then, I went today to get fresh donuts, and the black lady with an accent proceeded to lie to me and say that they NEVER have fresh donuts at 12. They only have them EARLY when they open up. I knew this to be a bold faced lie because Ive happened to visit at a later time, so ib told her that. I said, Well, Ive come here at a little after 11 and never had an issue getting fresh donuts. She then changed her story and said, Oh yes, well, thats because you can still get fresh donuts at that time, but not after that! Lol...so convenient! I didnt even purchase. Ill make a 35 minute drive to Westheimer to purchase my donuts from now on. For the owner to allow this, it shows what time l type of person he/she is! Never visiting AGAIN!

This is the worst doughnut shop I have ever visited. They advertise that they are open until 8 pm. Someone needs to tell the employees that. On Saturday 10,29/16 My son pulled into get doughnuts. We went to the door first and saw the arrow saying Drive thru and the employees inside looked straight at us. We got in the car and pulled around to the drive through where they stayed right where they were and just stared at us. I knocked on the window and again they just stared at us. Their sign said OPEN. There was a young pretty Hispanic female sitting there who appeared to just sat on her phone next to the young Hispanic male with glasses on. They both looked directly at me. The male then moved his phone in front of his face and appeared to trying to hide from me, except obviously he wasnt. Hey Einsteins, the phone is smaller than you. The female then acknowledged me by looking me in the eyes but started moving around closing up and walked by the window several times but would not answer.I frequent this doughnut shop in the mornings but will NEVER EVER go to this location again. I hope the owner of this location will read this! These employees deserve to be fired.
