Visiting the area and needed a bit of a morning pick me up. This place has plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. Plenty of natural light feed into the building with garage door glass windows. Greenery and natural wood decor make for a great feel. The large outdoor patio area was dog friendly and plenty of room to sprawl especially if one was to bring their own chairs or picnic blanket. The inside had room for solo adventurers with a large L shaped bar perfect for work or just keeping to yourself. Some room for larger parties but definitely a cozy feeling and the staff were friendly as well. It was a bit busy the day we came in and the wait can extend out a bit but all in all nothing horrible. Group favorites included the iced mocha infused with lavender, build your own breakfast sandwich options, and nitro coffee.

This is a beautiful coffee spot and roasterie with little to be improved on. Its set up to be very accessible with indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors, you gave the option of a bar, large conference style table, smaller tables, padded chairs, or couch. The drinks are excellent and the staff is friendly. The vibe is warm and cozy while still being very intentional and uncluttered with plenty of natural light. My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to be open past 5.

Best espresso we’ve had in Richmond! Traveled in town for a wedding and went to several coffee shops. From the first glimpses of the roaster to the grinder, you can tell that this place cares about their coffee. You won’t be disappointed. My husband and I tried the pippin and an iced latte. We loved them both.Not coffee related, but the bathrooms were great too! Really appreciated the cleanliness.

Have come here a few times and the coffee and food are always great. Last two times, service has been really slow. Totally understand staff is short and not at all a fault of theirs, but just something to be mindful of if going in during a busy time and ordering food. Wait was about 35 to 40 minutes. Will definitely be back, though!

Decent drink and disappointing blueberry muffin. After biting into it twice, I began to wonder if there were blueberries and kept being thrown off by how dry it was. Not worth the price. The Chai Latte was decent. I give the place 3 stars because they are doing their best. Cool building, but you can’t go in.

This coffee shop is amazing! I love trying new coffe drinks and this place did amazing! The drinks did not taste like regular syrups, the banana drink had actually bananas!! Whenever im driving by the area I will go back!

Amazing coffee shop. Excellent atmosphere, customer service, and drinks. This coffee shop is far less pretentious than *others* in the area and has a much friendlier vibe. I asked the cashier if they had any child friendly drinks for my toddler. They made him a chocolate milk and only charged me the price of a small coffee! Very kind. Excellent customer service. And their cold brew is my favorite.

The staff was wonderful, nice, polite, and patient when ordering. The outdoor seating was clean. Their drinks were full of flavor. I really appreciate that they had dairy free alternatives for their drinks.

The food orders take forever and the staff is not very transparent at checkout. I was told 15-20 min for an order, just to be told it would be 20-25 minutes more after 20 minutes because they were pretty backed up. The place is nice and food/coffee is good, but I think the service could improve.

I ordered the Hummingbird latte, didn’t like it. I asked if I could get a different drink and the barista told me if I wanted to order another drink, I would have to pay half price for it. Most coffee shops will make you a new drink no problem. Roastology is not one of those places. If you’re wanting to get out of your comfort zone and try something new, you can’t rely on the certainty that this coffee shop will be open to you ordering a new drink if you don’t like it. There are more coffee shops in Richmond!!

This place is amazing. The staff are very knowledgeable. They sell nice merch. The ambiance is great. It looks like the building used to be an auto shop. I also love that they sell coffee bags

Today was my second time visiting and I had a great experience both times. The food is fresh and tasty, the portions are sizable for the price. The coffee is fresh and you can tell in the taste. The shop is of course very aesthetically pleasing, and service is relatively quick. Definitely a must try in the Richmond area!

Their coffee is some of the best Ive had in Richmond, and their food is amazing too. Their gluten free and vegan options are awesome, and dont even taste like an imitation. I cant wait for the pandemic to recede because Im planning on spending some time working there, as the ambience is great too! Definitely recommend!

The Banh Mi was easily the laziest Ive ever had. No cilantro and meat tasted way pre-cooked. Just very bland and everything a Bahn Mi should not taste like.

Really good customer service. It was a stressful morning for us and this was our third place trying to get breakfast on a busy holiday. I requested a half sweet Chai and the girl at the counter explained their process for making Chai tea and how it wasnt as sweet as most places etc...but that if I got it and it was still too sweet to let her know. She just seemed unusually sincere in her effort to make me the perfect Chai tea 😂 It went a long way considering how busy they were. She also gave me a heads up about a long wait for breakfast so I got muffins instead and everything came out quick. She handed me the muffins and checked if I needed a bag also. Great experience and I cant wait to try more here on a less busy day in RVA!

While the coffee was good, the angry themed mask messaging was a total turn off. Post mask mandate choices are theirs, I 100% agree with that right. Unprofessional, negative and stand-offish messaging isn’t necessary. Positive messaging goes a longer way. Won’t be back.

Fantastic pastries, drinks, and baristas! Every time Im there Grace and Jacklyn are super patient with me even though I take forever to make up my mind(so are the rest of the baristas I just know I mainly bug these two).

On our first trip here, we really liked the ambience inside. It’s a good set up with very nice staff hustling with a constant stream of customers at 8:30 am. The four tables with umbrellas in the converted parking lot were full but we were able to snag one while we waited about 10 minutes for food. The unsweetened green tea was green AF and watering it down didn’t really help so I think next time I’ll try the black. The coffee was really good. The breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño cheddar muffin was gigantic and good. The Ether was advertised as a grilled cheese sandwich which came with maybe a pound of delicious bacon cooked in various stages of doneness from rare to well done. We couldn’t see it at first but found the generous amount of delicious, unmelted Gouda in a warm mass under the tasty tomato and were able to spread it out and remove some bacon to make the sandwich an easily edible size. The bottom piece of bread seemed somewhat toasted, maybe on a panini press. We would have preferred it to be a little more grilled-cheesy and cohesive but it was definitely edible and guessed that it had so much bacon and cheese because we ordered it without egg. We brought home two half sandwiches to eat for lunch. We will be back and will probably give the Ether another shot, blood pressure and cholesterol be damned. (Pandemic note: it was open inside as well)

This place is super friendly and they make super delicious vegan goods. Except both times that Ive taken them away theyve kind of gotten destroyed in the box Ive been handed... The icing kind of slipped off the cake and melted all over the box for some reason probably before I even got it. It was still delicious it just didnt look very nice. The coffee was intact and also delicious.

Good-looking building that apparently was an MG car dealership back in the day, right on Cary Street. Tasty lattes available in 16-oz size for a reasonable price. Delicious, gooey grilled cheese sandwich. Im a big fan.

Twice now Ive tried to get a chai latte and it tastes like coffee. Some people really dislike the taste of coffee and that might be why they order a non coffee drink! The food is fine and they have vegan options

Excellent coffee shop built out from an old car repair shop. Has there own in house roastery. Lots of places to sit to work on the computer. The bonus is a nice sofa with two comfy chairs in front of a warm fireplace.

Just east of Carytown on West Cary Street is a coffee shop in an old warehouse. Painted black, the building is trendy. My house went during the pandemic and its entirely outdoor. Keeping a safe distance, you order from a protected window. Within minutes your drink will appear at a different pick-up window. There are a few tables safely distant from each other outside with heaters.I ordered a latte and it was one of the best I had in Richmond. It was well brewed and creamy and needed very little sugar to appease my sweet tooth. My housemate enjoyed a solid cortado.If youre into good coffee, go to Roastology!

This is my go to coffee place, the coffee/espresso is nice and smooth, never acidic. Theyve been taking covid seriously. Whoever designed their online ordering site was a saint, its probably the best local online ordering Ive seen during this whole mess. The indoors was beautiful when it was open. My only warning is the wait time is a little longer than suggested, especially if you order food, so just plan around that.

Coffee was good. Service was fine, barista was quick and friendly. Egg and cheese sammy left a bit to be desired.

The coffee is good and so are the baked goods, but the high-pitched bell on the door can go to hell.

Two stars because the service was great, but my fiance and I both got 16oz lattes and we couldnt even taste coffee in them. Mine (a regular latte) tasted like hot milk and his (the seasonal yam latte) tasted like theyd blended a whole unseasoned baked sweet potato into a cup. Next time Id get a cappuccino or macchiato to see if the espresso is any good.

Their chamomile honey latte is the stuff dreams are made of. Seriously. We also love to grab a bag of beans when we stop by... They make such amazing espresso at home! We love Adbibo!

Im convinced that Roastology has some of the best roasts in there city. Their staff is also super friendly, and theyre doing an excellent job of creating a safe environment. Theres plenty of parking nearby and the online ordering experience is simple. Happy to support a local business!

We are in love with Roastology! We’ve only gotten coffee before which is always delicious and super caffeinated, but today I got some more coffee concoctions for my kids and food as well. The breakfast sandwich is amazing!!! I have to say that for customer service, Roastology is my favorite. Everyone who works there is so nice and I couldn’t be happier that we finally have such a welcoming and incredible place to help us wake up each morning!

This coffee shop is probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing places Ive been in Richmond. I had a latte and it was very good. The foam was perfect, but the only thing I would change is maybe a darker roast (but thats just my taste preference). All in all, the place was wonderful and I hope to come again and spend a longer time.

Went to get a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Had a horrible experience. They never called my name when it was ready so when I got it it was cold, they forgot my water. Ordered a large coffee with vanilla and got a small with no vanilla. I wanted a regular biscuit and got a jalapeno cheddar biscut. Overall a horrible experience. 2 stars because it was a nice sized sandwich

The new location is open which is a great spot. Plenty of seating yet spread out enough so you would never feel crowded. Amazing environment, this is a great place to bring your laptop or to have a casual meeting. The coffee is on par with the best, and its priced cheaper than other local options and Starbucks. This would definitely be a 5 start coffee shop (maybe even one of the best in Richmond) if it werent for one massive downside; Their hours. Roastology closes up shop every day of the week at 5pm. Id love to try their food because it looked delicious, but sadly I dont know the next time Id be able to take off work early enough to come. Overall though, I was very happy with my experience. With better business hours and maybe a little more advertising, I could see Roastology even competing with places like Crossroads or Lamplighter.

Just off Carytown, this converted corner garage offers some excellent coffees in a casual atmosphere. Many varieties of beans available and the pastries are moist and delicious. Greeted with a smile and answered all of our questions happily with zero sense of snark sometimes associated with coffee shops. Great place to fuel up or relax after shopping!
