The sheer amazement I find myself in EVERY time I enter this adorable coffee shop, is astounding. I have never been so In love with with a place until I found this shop. Every coffee I have had thus far has been nothing short of perfect. Every treat I have tasted has been nothing short of the most delectable thing to have ever graced my taste buds. The energy is so peaceful even when there’s a buzz of business, it remains such a relaxing environment that people can continue their work without the fear of feeling distracted. The staff is just as amazing and sweet as well. You’re not just a customer walking in! This find has been a change of pace when I get to work. I pop out to get a coffee and breakfast or lunch, than head back full of energy just from the amazing authenticity of the employees positive and welcoming attitudes. The drinks and food are so creative that it’s apparent there are no limits to what these people can do! A simple thing like, avocado toast, gets transformed into something new that makes your jaw drop and mouth water at the thought. I went in for a second slice within a few hours just because I was so addicted after one piece. When I say you’re missing out if you never take the time to try this place, I mean the only reason you wouldn’t, has to be because you don’t want to smile for the rest of your day just thinking about how you found your new favorite spot!

Good coffee. I had mine with lavender syrup and it was very good. Reasonable prices. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Italian based cooking grocery is available in the store. Friendly people.I would go back again.

Best avocado toast ever! 🥰 Do yourself a favor and try this place. I eat avocado toast wherever I go when I travel and this was definitely the best so far! They have all sorts of freshly baked treats, cappuccinos, and coffee drinks. Soothing ambiance, mellow background music, and lighting . Just a very relaxing atmosphere! Great breakfast place. Vegan/Vegetarian options.

I was always curious about this place. Im glad I tried it. I had their Odissea with an extra shot. Lovely blend of flavors. The music and ambience was more than I expected. Cute little spot to get to find pastas, sauces and more. I will be back.

Great little place. Coffee crumb cake was tasty. My niece thought the drink she got was The Best she has ever had. The 4nof sat and played phase 10. Small place, but lots of character, would go again.

Remember in the late 90s early 2000s when a million European style cafeterias started popping up all over the place? Well this is one of the ones started by an actual Italian that is perfect and has lasted because of it. Also they dont have mustard.

What a RUDE service! I will no longer stop by here again!The checker lady who takes an order on the cashier desk is way far from the standard in a food/beverage industry.That morning at 08ish, I stopped by the cafe with my husband. While my husband continue his trip to work, I planned to sit in the cafe while working on my laptop for couple hours.So I asked the cashier lady what their WiFi name/&password is. Her first response is but you will order, right?. Helloooo duh..duh.. of course yes!!! I know the rule when you visit a coffee shop, it means you will order, silly!

Cafe Espresso is, hands-down, the best coffee in Richmond. Its the closest Ive found in the city to an authentic Italian coffee. It has a great, intimate vibe. Their food and pastries are delicious as well. Im lucky its not on my way to work or Id be broke!

Absolutely delicious, as always!! The sandwiches were perfect, toasted just right and excellent, fresh ingredients! Claudio makes the dough for his sandwiches from scratch every day, and the flavor is out of this world! SOOO YUMMY! Worth even driving out of our way to get food this good! His cafe espresso is EXACTLY like you would get in Italy, cannot be beat!Today we also got some of his pistachio biscotti.. OMG fabulous! He makes these from scratch himself as well. SO good, I bought even extra to take to work with me. Love the beautiful photography of so many romantic and historic places and architecture of Italy!Great place to stop for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a coffee break, and can even do a curbside pickup!Love Cafespresso!

This place is cute and cozy, I felt right at home. The specialty coffee I had was delicious. Cant wait to go back! I can certainly see myself doing work or reading a book here.

This is a hidden gem. I stopped in to get a chai latte (very good blend of spices in their version) with my mom. She had the in house coffee which she said was strong. The apple cinnamon scone was moist and flavorful - the best scone I have ever had. I usually dont like scones because they are dry to me. This one was like eating a fresh treat from the oven of your familys best baker. I also liked the decor inside with local artwork and a cozy corner with books to read. This is a really cool place.

Grear little coffee shop. The young lady at the counter was very kind, and recommended me a great drink, which was the Dante Paradiso. The wait was short and I spent it in a very relaxing atmosphere. The weather was nice so the outdoor seating was pretty full, as to be expected. I would recommend it for lunch meetings or just a relaxing sit-down. Overall it was a great place.

Had a great brunch here! Staff was welcoming and helpful when we told them we were vegetarian. They quickly changed their breakfast special with an assortment of grilled veggies instead of prosciutto. Great coffee as well! Would come back again :)

Delicious caramel macchiato. Grabbed a warmed croissant, that was yummy yummy. First time visiting. Didnt take too long. Waited outside at a patio table. Plenty of other treats to buy inside too, like pastas, cookies, snacks.

Ordered a cappuccino and an iced latte. This cafe is not hard to find and located in a small shopping centre. The vibe of the place is very soothing and relaxed. Curl up with a newspaper or book in one of the cushioned seating areas. Chat with a friend and enjoy the atmosphere. I am totally going to try their panini or their cannoli next time we swing by.

This is the second time I have ordered super in advance to show up and have them not even started it. Don’t go here unless you want unprofessionalism and people not caring about your time. Such a shame it’s wonderful food but the service is awful.

Small but cozy and eclectic interior and a handful of tables on the outside. Very friendly service by the owner. Had lunch and tried a couple of the paninis #1 Genovese and #8 Caprese which came either with chips or a side salad. Both choices were delicious and filling without leaving you feeling overstuffed and in a post-lunch food coma. As good as the paninis were, the real treat was the coffee... the Odissea (caramel sauce, espresso, almond and amaretto) was amazingly good. So good in fact that I got another to-go. Ill definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Where do I even begin? Im avid Starbucks Go-er! Today I decided that I wanted to support small business and its 2 seconds from my house! The staff was super friendly and quick! I ordered the blueberry scone and the caramel latte! AND WHEN I TELL YOU THE SCONE Was amazing, amazing is an understatement! The latte was wonderful too! Both had a homemade authentic flavor! I will forever return to this place! Thank you

Disappointed in the managements decision to disallow inside sitting, especially in the middle of winter when sitting outside is too cold. I have been coming here to have the coffeeshop experience - wont be coming anymore.

Went there for first time today with my friends and I absolutely loved it! Very cozy place, it feels like a little home. And the coffee, oh the coffee was just amazing! Not comparable with any other ! I had the Caramel Latte, that Im going back for it as soon as possible! Its a nice hidden little spot, that I shouldve discover much earlier!! Service was great! And Im definitely going back!!

Latte was weak. Tasted more of the milk than espresso. Maybe add more espresso to the lattes or use a stronger roasted coffee.I liked that the drink wasn’t steaming hot, could enjoy my latte as soon as I got it!

This is a great local coffee shop. The atmosphere is pleasant and the workers are knowledgeable and pleasant. We’ve been looking for a decent local coffee shop in Henrico for a while now, and we were glad to finally find one that has a delicious chai latte! The price is more than we’re used to paying, but it was totally worth it. Overall this is a fun place to go to relax and to celebrate the fact that you’re alive.

Went in for lunch, while they were busy, I waited an hour for my food and it was completely not what I ordered. I ended up having to get it to go and wasn’t able to eat with my friend while she ate her lunch. Otherwise it’s a cute place, quaint, and the food, when I did get it, was good.

Best coffee in the West End but you can never count on them to open on time. Finally had to leave at 8:10 with no one in sight. Ive been patient many times waiting on them to brew Sumatra when they get a late start, but Im not sure Ill be cashing in my loyalty card any time soon.

This is the place you should come whenever you are looking for sun shine, or need a room to settle your heart. Its a small, nice cafe that make you wanna stay all day.We visited on Sunday. Their staffs are very kind and polite. I like how they assist their customer. We have small kids and its nice their deliver foods to our table.I tried their Ham Panini (#6), my wife had Salad, and my son had bagel with butter and ham. They are not expensive but I feel I got abundant. And Coffee! You have to try cappuccino! Trust me, it will totally make your day.Wish you all find your inner peace in this lovely coffee place.

Caffespresso is such a switch from chain coffee shops. By walking in, you immediately notice the difference. Caffespresso has the feel of an authentic European coffee shop. With coffee, teas, croissants, and a lunch menu there are tons to choose from on the menu. Also, they use a tab system which makes it easier to just grab that second cup or pick out a pastry. You seriously need to try this coffee shop!

AWESOME local coffee shop. New to working on this end of town and was worried about my mid day refueling options. This place has it all including delicious baked goods (Bread Pudding Muffins!) and a great espresso menu with options well beyond the standards. The spicy Dante Inferno with chocolate, rasberry, and espresso was a real treat. If you need coffee in the West End, this is the SPOT!

You pay for your entire order only as you leave, which encourages people to settle in for conversation, reading, or a little quiet work. Tables for singles or small groups, plus a conversation area in the back with sofas and bookshelves.The crowd is a mixture of young suburbanites, moms with kids on errands, and retirees socializing. Usually two workers on duty, which can make the food service a bit slow, but thats only a problem if you are in a big hurry.Great West End alternative to the four, five, or six Starbucks out here.Meet you at Starbucks?Which one? The one at the mall?No, the other one at the mall.Not the one across the street from the mall, right? The one kind of at the mall but not -in- the mall.Right.

Gave it only 4 stars due to the music. The coffee was great, staff was friendly. The music was too loud and obnoxious, couldnt concentrate on the school work I went there to do. Ended up chugging my coffee and leaving. Will give it another go when I dont need to concentrate on anything.

I have come here a couple of times and it is always enjoyable. The coffee is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. I also enjoy the patio area. I have tried other places but I keep ending up here.

Caffespresso is our go-to coffee shop whenever we are meeting with friends or family. We love the relaxed, friendly vibe. The mochas and lattes are great. Breakfast squares are so good. And for lunch, the #1 panini with pesto is amazing. Weve also enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio a time or two. If you live in or are staying in the West End of Richmond, go!

I love this place. I have been coming here for 3 years and everything is always great. Iced coffee is my favorite. Tuna salad is stellar. If you live in short pump/ west end, you need to come here. Claudio and his staff are always so welcoming.

I called this morning to confirm what the hours are, as its New Years Eve, and was told they will be closing at 6. A friend and I got there around 3:15, and the whole store (a few tables were occupied) was told around 4 that they would be closing at 5. At 4:45, the man working there literally told everyone to just get out. Will not be returning - you can keep your horrible attitude and your overpriced food and drink.

This is such a gem of a place! If you are looking for a small community cafe that has incredible coffee, gourmet bakery items and great Paninis with great customer service with a neighborly like feel this is it! They have such incredible fresh baked croissants and their hazwlnut cappacino has to be one of my best. My favorite is the designs they make with the foam like in NY! Love this great place!

I am a frequent visitor here, some would say a fixture. I think their coffee is the best in Richmond, and their panini are also quite good, made to order with their freshly baked focaccia. They occasionally will make pizza, which is of the thin crust variety and very flavorful. One should also set some time aside to enjoy a glass of wine with their meal, as Claudio, the owner, has assembled a good collection of reasonably priced wines, both red and white. Most are from Italy, but there are a few French, Austrian and Californian wines as well. Every third Thursday is jazz guitar night, usually bosso novo style, or in the vein of Django Reinhardt. All in all some excellent music. The ambiance is European, the staff most pleasant, and the food and wine memorable. Plan on having a good time.
