Aside from being very good at what they do, it seems like a great group of people who appreciate And enjoy the cars they work on. Friendly, great communications and great customer service at a fair price. Finding a good shop to work on odd brands like my Lancia is a real treasure. Highly recommend.

These guys are fully dialed! Incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. Like any other person with a rare car they care deeply for; I had plenty of questions. Amy, Mike and their crew took all time time I needed and fielded every question I had for them. They performed work on my car while I was out of town and communicated very clearly as milestones were completed. They were very professional and went through the entire installation and cleverly routed new parts and cables to look very clean in the engine bay. I will absolutely be returning to Sports car Workshops for all work on this car as well as other/future cars.

These guys really know their stuff. I have taken 5 of my vehicles there for service and have had exceptional service at all times. Besides my older more classic vehicles, I have asked them to service my newer Audi TDi Q7 and Land Rover. Theyve exceeded my expectations, and when a new wheel bearing failed after a couple of months Mike really showed urgency in getting me back on the road and the replacement has been flawless. When my wifes car is out of warranty next year, well be bringing it to Sportscar Workshops too! Oh, and its always fun to check out what is in for service - theres always something interesting there.

Looking for someone you can trust with your quirky classic vehicle? Check out Sportscar. While on the way for some unrelated planned work on my old Land Rover, it broke down feet from their entrance. The team swarmed to my aid in my time of need and pushed it to safety - what gems.

My classic Mini was a trainwreck when it got to Sportscar. years of neglect had taken its toll..... and They brought it back to life. It had been at least a year since id driven the car, and the drive home was one of the best it had ever driven. Cheers to Sportscar!

Great shop of talented mechanics and automotive artists. Honest and competent. A little steep for traditional repair but a definitely specialized and worth it if you bring them an antique, especially if its foreign. Both antique British and Japanese cars have come back running great!

Sportscar Workshops is my new go-to shop for my 2007 E90 328i sedan manual, and I have no question about that. I was recommended to them by a friend of mine who has been working in BMW/Euro specialty shops for a long time. Not long ago I had a valve cover gasket/CCV fiasco with a small local shop I do not wish to name; They typically do not work on newer German cars...most GM and Asian compacts. Went to that local shop with a simple blown valve cover gasket and they ended up breaking some components of the CCV that are installed on the underside of the valve cover along with doing an extremely poor job of replacing the valve cover gasket. I had new problems immediately after picking it up. After a few days I knew it was something new and radical considering the issue had when I brought it to them, and really most likely to have come from poor work at the small local shop. I took it to Sportscar Workshops for them to re-diagnose and they found evidence of bad work which caused my CCV issues. They fixed everything, showed photos and texted to me as they worked on it, with descriptions of what they found and what needed to be done, and to get my permission to move forward with the work. As it turned out, the first shop had severely damaged the valve cover along with a few components to the CCV. Sportscar replaced the broken valve cover with a new OEM one within a day and finished up the rest of the work by the next day. I picked the car back up from Sportscar Workshop and it was just such a relief to finally have some real euro professionals work on my car that know the car, and the parts/issues they were dealing with. The car finally felt back to normal.About half a year layer, I brought the car back to them to replace the oil filter housing gasket and oil pan gasket as I knew they were seeping, and the amount of oil I was putting into the car dramatically increased, so I knew it was time. I also requested a transmission fluid flush and differential fluid flush since the car has 124,xxx miles on it. Sportscar Workshops special ordered my fluids so it took an extra day, but I was happy they were committed to putting the best/correct fluids into my vehicle. I picked the car up and it felt great! No leaks on oil and it felt better to drive than it had previously.Unfortunately, during the process of replacing the oil pan gasket, my radiator drain plug had been possibly knocked around while removing the oil pan or reinstalling in, resulting in my car overheating due to low fluid about 20 min down the road on my way to work just after I had picked it up. I pulled over immediately and called them about my new issue. Feeling a bit distraught since I had never had any coolant system issues previously, I was certain there had been some kind of accidental issue with the cooling system. After talking to the service team, the shop owner literally dropped everything to come to my rescue!!! He showed up and started diagnosing immediately. Ultimately he found that the drain plug on the radiator had been knocked loose and damaged in the process. He got it temporarily secured and filled the coolant tank, which was enough to make the last 10 min drive to my work, where he could safely put the car on jacks and inspect. They did not hesitate to get the car towed back to their shop on their dime once the issue was diagnosed, and they took care of it immediately. I picked the car up the next afternoon and all was well, as I knew it would be!Sportscar Workshops cares just as much about my/your car as they do their reputation. They are real gear heads and considering the cars they typically work on (old Ferrari’s, MG’s, Datsuns, 60s Jags, Audi R8’s...you name it on the weird old and new sportscars), I would imagine my 2007 e90 manual is a walk in the park for them. I will be back!If you have a new or vintage euro car, Sportscar, or any diesel car you need worked on, this is THE PLACE!Derek R2007 BMW 328i sedan 4-dr

Ive been taking my car here for the last year for various services for my 2006 car. The people Ive worked with have been upfront about the cost and completed any work very quickly compared to other places Ive been to. Another shop quoted me a price that was twice as high as my estimate here for basic repairs. Last month, my car was totaled and Michael was able to help me purchase a new car. He was able to answer all my questions and made the process incredibly easy on my end. Will be taking my car here again anytime I need maintenance.

When I bought my 06 Mini Cooper, I was so happy to find these guys to work on my car instead of taking it to the dealer. Roy was very personable, straight-forward, and did a great job replacing my water pump. He even sent me a text of the front of my car (because to get to that part, the front end basically has to come off)! He also recommended a better part for the replacement that would be less prone to wearing out. These guys definitely know their stuff, are always happy to help, and I really enjoy taking my car to them. (Also, they enjoy cookies!)

As a woman, I have always been somewhat suspicious of mechanics. I gave Sportscar Workshops a chance because they are locally owned and operated. My expectations were surpassed! Not only was I treated with respect, I was charged a very fair price and my car (Benz) was ready the next day. Because of the service and treatment, I took my BMW there when it needed servicing. I wont go anywhere else!! Roy and his team are the best!~Xine Bouthillier RVA

I have taken my Land Rover Discovery to Sportscar Workshops for a while now with them fixing brakes and odds and ends to major jobs with my gaskets and axle. I moved 3 hours away from Richmond for pharmacy school and had a head gasket issue along with an axle issue. My first choice was to do anything to get it down to Sportscar Workshops to fix it as they are the ones I trust and do a great job however it was not safe to drive that far. The Winchester mechanic could not get right after 3 tries but left it drivable so I knew it was worth my time to make the 3 hour trip down to Sportscar Workshops because I knew I could trust Roy as he is very personable, honest, and straight forward. Roy was very thorough checking the car out taking his time to make sure everything was done correctly and did a full run through to make sure there was nothing else wrong with the Rover that (as my mechanic up in Winchester failed to check the car head to toe like he had said he had done and Roy caught a problem that could have been catastrophic). Roy made sure to show me what problems there were and if I did not understand he would make sure to explain it in detail so there was nothing hidden and, as a woman that made me feel comfortable. Roy is always very honest in telling me what needs to be fixed and stuff that isnt necessary telling me I dont need to do that right now (as most mechanics just fix random things and bill you for it). The pricing was very fair. With the level of honesty, excellent work, fair pricing combined with everyone there being personable and accessible, I will keep bring my Land Rover Discovery back to Sportscar Workshops.

Very disappointed with Sports car workshop. Practice of lies and deceptions by Michael Moore. Take your business elsewhere!

Inexcusably high charges far exceeding estimate; could not possibly have spent charged time on auto. Total waste of 4,000.00 on 1,500 estimate. Basically charged thousands for hundreds of dollars of incomplete work. Took car elsewhere to have work redone. I was warned by other local car guys, took a chance, lost.
