Never done a review for a store before...but thought Id start with this one.Richard was sincerely polite when we came in. To save time, I told him what I was looking for.He asked me a couple Qs and found the perfect piano teaching book for me. Thx Richard! It was a MUCH different situation at the Guitar center yesterday. The employees didnt seem very eager to help let alone barely looked up to say hello when I walked in. Just kind of a cold & uninviting feeling.Ill definitely go back to Music & Art...and keep that young man Richard on your staff. He will keep people coming back.
Ryan was great with helping me with my desired tech stuff involving mics. Recommend him for anything if your looking into producing.
This place has the best staff and super friendly instructors to boot. I love going here because the team always answers questions honestly, no matterthe situation. I appreciate how welcoming and informative they are. While Im there I feel like I am treated with respect and guided to the best decision for my needs each time. And as far as Ive seen even when theyre busy helping me or someone else, theyll stop and acknowledge each person and work effectively to make everyone as happy as possible with their trip into the store. I dont mind waiting the few minutes Ive had to on occassion because the employees are professional, polite, and theyve always been willing to go the extra mile.
Richard G is the best!!! He took the time to help us while helping others. We love this store and every time we stop in, everyone is so helpful. This is what a music store should be like. Great atmosphere and helpful people that love music. What more could you want?
We came in to buy a single violin string. The employee who helped us was courteous, offered to change the string on the spot, and went above and beyond by offering to polish the violin, as well! He gave helpful information to my daughter about wiping her instrument and strings after every playing session because of rosin buildup. Excellent customer service! We will always come here for our string needs in the future!
I came to this Music and Arts location in search of a cello to rent. Not only did they have what I was looking for, the sales rep went above and beyond in answering my questions, giving pointers, to even calling other Music and Arts locations in search of an available cello instructor that fits my time frame. The instrument is beautiful and sounds great, came with all the accessories and a padded case for transport. The price for renting was so low I almost didn’t believe it at first.Quality instrument and quality service. Will definitely come back for any of my music related needs.
I’m sure everyone is real friendly here but the store should open at 10 AM and I’m waiting outside still at 10:15
This place has great quality instruments. I bought my trumpet from here 5 years ago and my trumpet is still in good condition. I also come here to buy some valve oil for my trumpet. I just came here recently to buy a valve oil labeled Blue Juice. It was recommended to me by Richard the cashier, who was very helpful when I was deciding which one would be best for my trumpet. I would definitely recommend this place to any musician out there!🎺
Richard at the North Benson store far exceeded my expectations!!I had an issue with my acoustic/electric guitar and he fixed it right on the spot!! Less than half an hour!! KUDOS TO YOU RICHARD!!
I came here to look for something I can give to my nephew. Hes into music. Unfortunately, music doesnt like me. Gladly, the staff are accommodating and they help me choose something that he will surely loved.
Went to Music and Arts looking for an adult piano book. Richard was really great helping me look at the different piano book options and suggesting which would work the best for my purposes. He was very professional and knowledgable. I would recommend going to this music store for all of your music needs.
I absolutely LOVE this location!!! Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable about the instruments. He was very kind and patient with me, being that I know nothing about instruments. I would give this place more stars if I could. The service here is AWESOME!!!
Richard G. is terrific! I went to Music and Arts in Renton to take my son to his instrument lesson. I was interested in buying a guitar (in the near future) so, during his lesson, I decided to ask the staff questions because I know very little about guitars. Richard, the store manager, came over to help me. Well, it was my lucky day! Richard is a guitar player and he’s really good! He knows everything about guitars and took time with me and patiently showed me many different guitars. He explained the differences in brands, styles, wood texture, size, sound, resonance, strings and more. He did a demo by playing the same 2-3 songs on 5+ different guitars so I could hear the difference in the quality of sound. I felt like I was at a concert! It was awesome! I learned so much from that encounter that I decided to buy a guitar (and accessories) the same day and I feel great about my purchase. Thanks Richard!
I just asked my mom to buy some rosin and a mute for my violin and the customer service was nice to her. They even recommended a nice rosin! Highly appreciate it :)
I had one of the worst customer service related experiences at the Renton Music&Arts store. I purchased an alto sax for my daughter and the octive key didnt work. Upon return, the clerk was more concerned with offering excuses and a repair plan than other options (ultimately he finally ordered another one to exchange it). Came back a week later and he continued with trying to sell a repair plan. I wont bore you with all the conversational details, but on both occasions he was more concerned in offering excuses and selling a repair plan than in making the customer happy. It was one of the most frustrating experiences, I WILL NOT he going back to that location.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Good location, good selection of instruments, parts and accessories, staff is super helpful and knowledgeable, very friendly and welcoming, especially store manager Tym, great guy, helped me with exactly what I wanted. No pressure to buy anything either like allot of places Ive been,They feature open mic nights here, lessons repairs and more, also they sell name brand gear like Fender, Marshall, etc.Check this place out for sure,Nathan, from Kent.
Super nice and knowledgeable people. I got to talk to Richard and Yakov and they were both super attentive and patient. The store is clean, well organized and has lots of convenient parking. Ill definitely be back.
Friendly, knowledgeable customer service. We brought my sons Alto saxophone in for an appraisal and to we what our options were... They answered our questions and presented us with our options, no strings attached. This is a great place to do business.
We had a fantastic experience at the store today. Yakov our sales was very knowledgeable about the instruments. Not only he helped us picking the right violin that fit our sons current learning needs, we also learned a lot about violin in general. He is very patient with us and answered questions from all six of us, i.e.: grandparents, parents and kids. We went through different scenarios and listed pros and cons between purchasing vs rental... We left the store with our brand new violin at the end!😃
I love this Music and Arts store in Renton.Theyre very knowledgeable about instruments and all music needs. The customer service is amazing and they go out their way to help you. They have great deals everyday. They have the best prices in Washington
Yes it’s a chain store, but the employees and manager are helpful and polite giving this place a “mom & pop” feel. I’ve been working on an electric guitar and am learning as I go and often go to this specific store for guitar modifications and with questions. They have been more than helpful in answering my questions, and at times, taking the time to find the answers with me. I don’t know about other music & Arts stores in the area but this one in Renton is great.
Richard took time to show us all the guitars and play it so we can decide which one is better. Thanks for being so patient! We couldnt have gone to a better store.
Hi. I went here a couple days ago to purchase an audio interface for recording vocals and whatever I may record in the future. Told YAKOV about how I was experiencing some issues with my current interface and he explained why and even recommended me going home and checking my equipment before making my purchase with him. Went on to ask what type of music I make and even showed me some guys I could watch online to help improve my craft, expand creativity. Was really really really cool being treated like a longtime friend rather than just another dollar sign. Will be going back whenever I need anything music related for sure. Shoutout to Yakov
Asked for trumpet lyre and gave us Alto/Tenor sax lyre and said it was for trumpet. My parent trusted the man and bought it.Ps: going to return this
Ive had two interactions with this store. First was a simple transaction to buy alto sax reeds. No big deal. Second interaction was via phone to inquire about a beginning band book, called Band Today for Alto Sax, which my sons 5th grade band class uses. In those exact words, I asked if they had it in stock. The person on the other end clearly did not understand what I was asking and passed the phone to someone else (manager maybe?). Really, folks? I give you the name of the book and tell you that its a beginning band book for an alto sax, and you still dont know what Im asking for?
Top notch customer service at this branch of Music and Arts. Ricky was so helpful finding the book I needed for my student. Will definitely shop here again.
Great customer service, quality instruments and instrument rentals.
I dont know what has happened with this place. We rented a clarinet. After about a week It wasnt working properly. My husband took it in to have it looked at. They had no record that we were even renting a clarinet. We left a message for the manager to call us. We never heard from the manager. A week later, I called and they said someone would get back to me. Another week went by and I went in and left another message for someone to call me back because they couldnt find that we rented the clarinet, now we had it over a month. I went back in and the manager still couldnt find our rental agreement. He went ahead and switched it out for new one. We started a new rental agreement. I had my own personal clarinet that I needed cleaned and looked at to possibly replace the pads. They were going to send it out for an estimate. Two weeks later my new rental clarinet is now not working properly. They also called me to let my know that my personal clarinet was back. No notice of an estimate. I take back my new rental clarinet and guess what, they dont have a rental agreement for us. The guy just switched it out. He cant find my personal clarinet. I finally call a few days later. My personal clarinet is back, no estimate, they replaced the pads, didnt clean it. I wasnt charged for it, but they didnt do what I asked. I am just not sure what is going on there. Is there somewhere else i can take my personal clarinet too?
WE LOVE THIS STORE
