Almost immediate service... I came in for valve oil and the guy (who was busy on something) took a break to help me out. I also asked about mouthpiece removers, and although they didnt sell any, the guy wrote down the website I could find them on. Great service! Ill definitely be going here anytime I need music supplies from now on.

They are very customer service oriented. Derek does the best job ever with professional setups in guitars. Takes his time and evaluates the neck position, bridge and saddle. Makes thoughtful recommendations. Never oversells or recommends a change that is not necessary. Owner is there all the time and very helpful. Ill continue to go back. Great place.

My daughter takes guitar lessons here and her teacher Tony is fantastic! I cant say enough good things about him and this place. The lessons are 30 min and he is a fantastic and patient teacher with my 11 year old.

Ive bought two instruments here- its a great store for intermediate/more advanced players looking to buy a nicer instrument. Its great to have a store like this one- a lot of other music shops only carry cheap/lower quality instruments. This store has a great selection of Talylor and Martin guitars as well as high quality Kala brand ukuleles. Whenever Im in the market I always visit this store.

I have been shopping here since 1994 and considered it my home base for getting gear ever since. They have a great range of gear up to the highest eshellon guitars and amps, and can source anything Ive ever asked for. They are also never shy with good advice for lower cost solutions to your needs. Give this place a shot if you havent already.

I came here for a guitar repair and setup. The staff was friendly and recommended I work with Gene. My guitars head stock plate was coming off and I wanted that repaired. Also wanted my guitar set up and polished up. I came to pick it up and found a poor glue job on the head stock. The guitar wasn’t even set up and all the divots that I wanted fixed up wasn’t touched. Some spots that were not fix was completely understandable, however I feel liked I payed for an evaluation more than anything else. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if your looking for repairs.

This was a great non-chain music store. Lots of choices in electric and acoustic guitars. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Always a warm welcome from the staff when coming in. Ive come in multiple times and love coming in each time.

This has been my favorite Seattle guitar/music store for many years. They provide lots of knowledge about their guitars. Friendly, they dont hesitate to help you even when youre just browsing, which my dear wife thinks is always a dangerous thing. This is a small but excellent shop.

Been going to A Sharp since the mid 90s. Every instrument is in peak condition before it leaves the store. No need to have any additional neck adjustments, its already done. If needed down the road, they will do it at no cost!! Highly recommend!!

A Sharp has been my main guitar shop for over a decade. When I first walked in Id been playing for less than 6 months and theyve guided me though every step of my guitar playing and gear buying journey. Yes, Skip and his employees know more than you. But no, they will never make you feel silly or stupid for asking a question. I have also never once felt even the slightest bit pressured to buy anything. They have a great selection of both new and used instruments and theres no better place to have you gear repaired.

Beautiful set up job.Took in my telecaster to these guys for a set up. Ive owned it 10 years so it desperately needed another set up job. These guys turned it around quick and the work was great. From my experience with Portland Fret Works and 12th fret in Portland these guys are on par with some of the best shop setups I have had done on my guitars. I will definitely be returning when I need another guitar set up.

Great experience. I needed some basic work on my electric, getting a humbucker adjusted that Guitar Center had improperly installed, and they answered all my questions and got the work done very quickly. They also walked me through what I would need to do to wire up new pots and a 5-way switch even though doing it myself means Im not paying them. Good people, good store.

Great job restoring my Thomas guitar. My uncle Harvey Thomas made this one and my father Floyd Thomas played it for many year with the Evergreen Drifters on KOMO. It is very nostalgic and special to us and they took really good care of it. Thank you so much. We will be bringing in Dads Chet Atkins Gretsch next. A special thank you to John.

I have had guitars serviced there twice. In the first case, the guitar tech treated me as though I knew nothing at all about guitars. The second time, another guitar tech trimmed the pickguard I wanted placed on my acoustic guitar. He thought he improved it. It looked like a jagged fingernail. They have a nice shop, but its a little strange. I suggest Emerald City Guitars or Dusty Strings.

Folks are nonchalant but cool, never had a problem getting help with my wierd projects. Not a huge selection of amps and all but enough and LOTS OF GUITAR PARTS. The best spot in Kent for nut blanks/tuners/random stuff that breaks.
