Very polite and knowledgeable. I wanted to know if they worked on vintage instruments and they looked at my 69 Gibson EB3 and said yes they could do what I was looking for. No pressure and very patient. Explained alot about the controls on my bass. Parking is easy and entry very accessible. I enjoyed my visit

I recently did business with Mr. Anderson of Notorious Guitar Hospital. He claimed Id receive an honest evaluation, a fair price and work that would be guaranteed. After dropping off my guitar, I waited weeks to hear how much it was going to cost for the professional setup (fret dress, bridge height/action, intonation) and hardware cleaned up I wanted. As it turned out, I never received an evaluation on the work that was needed or an estimate of what the cost was going to be. Rather, Mr Anderson simply did whatever work he wanted to do without giving me any notice of what was actually needed or what was going to be done.If that wasnt bad enough, Mr. Anderson, also neglected to advise me that he was a cash only business until after he completing work, while grossly over charging me a $450 price tag. I refused to pay his outrageous price and sadly had to leave my guitar in his possession. I soon warned Mr Anderson that I was going to report what he was doing to the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau, and made him gracious offer to pay $250. He accepted my offer and I got my guitar back.Ultimately, all was a complete waste. When I got my guitar home and checked it, the intonation was way off pitch at the 24th fret on ever single string and the action was set far too low, as I was getting string buzz everywhere. Long story short, I had to redone everything and my graciously paid $250 was for absolutely nothing.Bottom line, Notorious Guitar Hospital is a business everyone should avoid like the plague. The guy has no idea what hes doing when it comes to setting up guitars correctly and his cash only prices are more than double what every other guitar shop in the Reno/Sparks area charges.

Jim is excellent at what he does and is very knowledgeable. I took a guitar to him with multiple issues and I got it back playing better than it ever has. He has great communication and walked me through every step of the process, letting me know what the issues were along with how those issues are fixed. I highly recommend him!

I gotta say Jim was super informative. I just bought a brand new telecaster elite from guitar center and guitar centers technician didnt know how to fix the buzzing problem I had seen across all of my strings. However, Jim took the time to not only show me how to correct but gave me a full lesson on how to set up my guitar in the future. He fixed all tonality issues and got rid of my buyers remorse. Hes a super knowledgable guy and Id recommend him to any musician here in town.
