My fav coffee shop Ive visited in Reno. Great place to work and great coffee. Its also the only coffee shop Ive been to in town that serves drinks in actual mugs instead of disposable containers for for here customers. I appreciate the effort to reduce waste!

The Matcha latte 🍵 on oat milk was not only so much needed, but also VERY good, foamy and light. Best place in Reno! 🙃

I enjoyed the atmosphere here more then anything. A nice local coffee shop that doesnt blast music and is not too crowded. The coffee was good but getting my stuff done in a new environment was great.

I would give it 5 stars but parking is a pain. Roast is good and the latte I had was great.

No decaf coffee unfortunately but their espresso was delicious, and everything is roasted in house which is always a plus for people looking to try new things. Great service, atmosphere and pre-roasted coffee selection

Their mocha is absolutely the light of my morning when I have to work on this side of town. My coworkers love their chai and their drip coffee as well. The staff are not only super helpful but also really kind humans. Cant thank them enough for being open.

Limited menu and only 1 employee so a bit of a wait for a longer line. My coffee wasnt great, but everyone else seemed to enjoy theirs.

Decent coffee, a little on the lighter side in flavor. If you usually drink coffee, I’d recommend going for a cappuccino or some sort of espresso to get an idea of what they’re really about

Exactly what I was looking for - no frills semi industrial establishment that small batch roasts and prepares primo goods. Knowledgeable and friendly barista gave me the low down on the local scene while making the latte art look easy!

Magpie is the best coffee. Also the barista is super cool and really dedicated!

Coffee was very good. I had a cappuccino. It was strong but smooth. Only reason for giving them four stars was that only one person was working the counter. It took a while to get our drinks. Not sure if that was normal for them. I would recommend this coffee house and will go back there in the future.

Nice place. Not overwhelming with the quantity of coffee selections, but the quality is nice. You can see the roaster right in the shop, pretty cool!

Magpie upgraded their seating and its super comfy! The WiFi is still crazy fast and the coffee is top notch! Service is fast and friendly, and they are letting Uncle Buddys food truck hang out behind the biz so lunch and breakfast are often available too! If thats not your speed, Plaza Maya is a quick walk too.

Best cappuccino-ever. Creamy, robust, assertive yet non-acidic, perfectly executed.Love to support small roasters but not ususually enamored by their product. Magpie is the spectacular exception. Beautiful space as well.

My go to coffee spot when I’m Reno.WiFi is slightly mehhhhh. But the ambience, customer service, espresso and food truck outside is so rad! Keep it up Magpie.You’re the only shop I recommend visiting in Reno.

Updated review: they charge an extra $1 on all drinks for non-dairy milks which seems exorbitant. Otherwise a great coffee with a relaxed attitude!

I was educating myself to become a better coffee drinker in means of Utube & discovered the Chemix coffee maker. I purchased it on the Magpie website & it arrived the next day, ( Very Prompt Service) I LOVE IT !! - It may take a few minutes longer then a traditional drip over coffee maker but is well worth it. I highly recommend anyone who is a Coffee Enthusiast or just needs a better cup of Jo to order a Chemix from Magpie & if you havent used one before I can guarantee if you watch a Utube video youll get it & enjoy it so much greater !!

A taste of simplicity. If youre a person who wants to get back to the gritty simplicity of a simple cup of coffee without the hectic flavoring come here and relax. A wonderful location downtown. Come and join youre friends here and chat, laugh and maybe get some work done.

Reno is home to some exceptional coffee talent. Maggie is among the handful of roasters that have the requisite chefs sense for starting from scratch, roasting, grinding and brewing a beautiful product with their unique stamp on it.

If you like fine coffee that is of a medium roast then this is the place to go best in town beans are roasted on site in plain view

Just had 5 Star experience at Magpie. Hip hop music and coffee makes this place brew to their own beat.AmbianceThe atmosphere is laid back and the room feels airy and spacious. The interior design is simple and clean offering ample seating.CoffeeOrdered a cup of coffee for $2.50. That particular days blend happened to be from Guatemala. I found the flavor to be bold and smooth.ServiceThe roaster was very knowledgeable on the business and took the liberty of educating me on the four different ways he could make coffee. Something i found to be quite interesting.I reccommd coming here if you wanna get some work done, meet up with friends, or your just plain looking for a tasty brewed awakening.P.S. They have checkers and backgammon available to play. For free! Haha

Espresso was under-extracted and the pourover was also a little weak. Didnt get a chance to try their regular coffee though, its possible thats more consistent. Friendly staff and generally cool place.

One of my top cafes in Reno.* Coffee quality - truly awesome. Magpie is one of my main gotos for bags of coffee to take home. They go out of their way to get unique coffees and their roasting is on-point.* Chill atmosphere - Mark, John and the others have a very relaxed vibe and its a great place to just sit and chill.I highly suggest getting one of their suggested coffees on Aeropress. Theyll probably hate me for nudging you towards slow-bar but its worth it.If youre visiting Reno, do yourself a favor and go a little out of your way to get down to Magpie.Check out my profile for more Reno cafe reviews.
