Passing through Reno and needed a quick iced Americano. This place did not disappoint. Fast and friendly service. And of course the Americano was perfect.

Staff is always friendly and i’m loving the changes that the new owner Jess is making! She has a passion for her customers and it shows!

Nice place and unusal place to have a cup of joe. Located in old post office location downstairs. Big place with plenty of sitting areas. Several shop located there. Just cool place to hang with friends if ypu love coffee drinks.Love

Beautiful ambience down at the basement. Its a great place to hang out and chill. Parking can he a hassle on the weekends, you will have to park on the streets, no dedicated parking lot.

A great little, hidden gem. Global Coffee serves up legitimate brew, with a knowledgeable barista who pulled a perfect cortado that allowed me to explore the basement of what used to be the post office. It was the perfect start to my day.

I’ve been a regular here throughout college. There is a new no cash policy and when I went in this morning I only had cash and couldn’t pay for my drink. The new owner was extremely kind and made my favorite drink on the house. I’ll never buy a chai latte anywhere else in reno again :)

Came by one morning for a quick drip coffee to go and was blown away by the flavor and freshness of it. I truly appreciate a place that doesnt skimp on simple offerings! Besides, the barista was very friendly and efficient.Downstairs in The Basement. Took me a minute to find, but cool place. Industrial chic.

Very cool underground coffee bar. They definitely do a nice job of making the best out of a cup of coffee. Chill spot to enjoy a nice cup and a book on a slow weekend afternoon.

Global seemingly made some great moves in the past few years. This particular location is creatively stellar, and their product was amazing.If you hope to camp out for work in The Basement, where this location lies, be sure to hang out near the actual coffee shop; the wifi plays tricks if you’re too far from their router.

Mikey is such a great guy to talk too. Always makes my experience a great time. Black coffee is always great at the best price in town. Also, Haley makes the best cinnamon rolls in town. Took five of my Cinnabon fanatic friends to try them out. They all loved it and agreed that every bite is like eating the warm and soft center piece of your traditional cinnamon pastry.

On my top 10 list for most unique venues in Reno. Great place for a coffee shop, with intriguing personality. Excellent coffee too. Looking forward to the next visit

Let me first say that I fully support all of the small businesses opening at the Basement. It changes the way we experience downtown Reno, and I encourage everyone to visit.A few of the great things about Global’s location here:- the shop is conveniently located near community tables.- the aesthetic reflects a sophisticated roughness and old-world charm that makes the Basement such a unique place.- during the few times I’ve visited, the baristas have been very kind and worked as quickly as possible, even when there were people waiting.- the menu selection is more than adequate and features espresso and specialty drinks.Going forward, a few considerations for improving the experience at Global:- the coffee, while adequate, doesnt taste extremely good. If you like the over-roasted qualities of Starbucks, then you might like Global. If you’re looking for more of an artisan taste (like hub, blue whale, or old world), then you may leave Global feeling dirty. The espresso drinks I’ve had also need work, though I imagine (or hope) they’ll improve as the baristas refine their skills.- there is seating in Global’s area of the market, but it’s more beautiful than functional. If the coffee shop becomes popular, they might want to consider more efficient chairs and tables, which would increase the “coffee shop” feel. As is, the seating makes me feel as though I’m waiting at a fancy hair salon.All in all, Global Coffee is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. So far, however, they haven’t matched the level of quality that the other shops in the market have. Considering Global has a prominent place at the Basement, it’s my hope that they continue to strive to provide an experience that makes coming to the Basement memorable.
