I like this Safeway. I actually feared going here, bc I was so used to Foster City.But this is as nice as a Giant (for DC transplants).And the employees are really nice and helpful..Shout out to Brain whos always in a great mood, even on a crazy day.

My go to grocery store. Safeway never disappoints. Their selection of items are always of excellent quality.

Good selection but should probably be avoided. It’s not clean and the staff isn’t friendly. The self checkout stations are a joke and barely work. They allow dogs inside which is odd for a grocery store.

The best thing I like about Safeway is that they are all laid out pretty much the same so its fairly easy to find what you want.

I ordered sandwich meat and cheese from the deli counter and the customer service was great. The quality of the turkey and cheese was really good. I highly recommend the honey roasted turkey.

A very nice and complete store, the employees; from the check out to as well as ones including stocking shelves all have been friendly and helpful!

Friendly cashiers and employees. But be warned theres a lot of crazy ppl that hang around. I almost dont like to go there. But I do because you can get stuff done pretty quickly here.

Rude employees, dont care about the customers. Completely ignore you when asking for help. Worst Safeway Ive ever been to. I dont understand why you would call it a 24/7 Safeway of they are closed early in the AM. False advertisement. People have things to do if youre going to advertise 24/7 and not have the doors open for the people needing the store youre wasting our time.

Overpriced and produce is pretty dicey, watch out for mold. Great location and staff tho!

They are always stocked up and have a good selection of organic produce. Highly recommend going through the self checkout since the normal lanes have really long lines.

Its honestly one of the nicest grocery stores around. There is a whole foods right across the street but I find myself going here nine times out of ten. Prices are low, things are easy to find, the selection is great, and the coupons are excellent.

If the cost of living wasnt so high, I would make this my one stop shop! Always clean always well stocked always has exactly what I need in a safe central location day or even late night.I do advise to watch out for the crazies that lurk and possibly loiter in the parking lot stay out side. I have not had any issues but my elderly mother did with an aggressive pan handler in a wheelchair who would not take no for an answer.. problems are non existent once inside other than the occasional rude or problematic dodger fan the rest of the shopers are well behaved.I am usually very quite and go in and out not wasting time but waiting in line for an other cashier one does get overly talkative sometimes. this is to be expected with such a large store. I discovered one bad apple in the bunch! I wont point fingers and cause a McCarthism scare because I always compliment them in regards to how satisfied i am with the store. This staff member still remains strong to there southern California roots with there support of the dodgers.

For the amount of money Im paying for groceries here, there should be baggers. There is not. Management got rid of them. Apparently we are on our own, no matter how old or handicapped you might be. Were not in Europe. So where is the money going to??!!

Safeway is an excellent place to find great food products. The meat and poultry department is solid and most of the produce tastes great. The strawberries and blueberries usually lack flavor. The Signature collection keeps growing and always finding good bargains.

Dont like Safeway.but I park there when I shop at trader Joes.LOL

As a driver in the transportation network community having a public restroom is a godsend. See if we have become a safe haven for restroom amenities. This one is pretty clean. The restrooms I mean.

It was terrible. I waited 10 minutes for someone to come and swipe their employee so I could continue. Clerks sae the flashing light, saw me waiting....and did nothing. I wont go there again

This store needs to be ashamed of how filthy the bathroom always is. The light is currently not working there’s trash all over the place and the bathrooms look like they need a deep cleaning and remodel. The service in this store is great but the cleanliness of the store is horrible.

Tried online order with pick up service. Never again. Not everything was there and I figure my option is to check my order before I leave? I know they have Kale and lots of it. If you go in to shop, there are always many obstacles in the aisles, like wooden platforms with goods that need to be shelved or there are many personal shoppers filling online orders. I was also scolded by a cashier who told me I had my items too close to each other on the belt. Really? All the years Ive shopped there or in any grocery store, its never been a problem. Maybe stop running the belt so fast and reach for the items so they dont get crushed? Going to Luckys now.

Way overpriced, endless lines at all hours, lackluster customer service, poor presentation, bad smells and sketchy clientele. Pictures are of the fun check out lines you will encounter at this location.

The store is quite disorganized. Lots of stuff on the floor. However theres a Wells Fargo, a Quest Diagnostics and a Starbucks inside. Quite convenient for doing all errands.

This store is always busy but I always find what Im looking for and the lines are long but the cashiers are great at speedy checkouts...one of the best Safeway in the Bay!

I was treated so very badly at this Safeway the other day my my phone died and I need help calling a cab so I went to customer service the employee there was so rude I told her the taxi never came and he should call me another one she wouldnt . So I left the store and I asked another employee outside what do you help me and he said Im working right now and theres nothing I could do for you so let me tell you a little about me I have had four strokes and I cant talk very well I have trouble with my balance and they would not help me

Safeway is a little pricey specially when shopping for a larger family, but using the Just for U app really helps find saving. I can find what I need when I shop at this location, good fresh produce selection.

Been a customer for 20 years but this Safeway is losing me. Too many rotten fruits and vegetables. The meat department is dismal. Last time I visited, around 8:30 am, there was no clerk and all the meats were from the day before, covered with butcher paper.

Manager (Briana) juggled many responsibilities, yet remained attentive to the customers needs, restocking fast moving products, emptied a pallet of new products while keeping the front end flowing efficiently, courtesliey to achieve maximum benefit for the.... consumers / Establishment!

Great store lots of inventory well organized one problem is on checking out discounts arent applied automatically to the sale you have to be very careful to check your tape I had to get a refund of over $30 and I just went through the stand.

Clean, friendly staff, I can always go right on in, get my merchandise and get out.

Open when I needed it, didnt have to stand on line too long like during the day, and the checker was there and ready.

Roberto(the meat manager) is a total POS. I on many occasions have seen him being rude to many customers, me being one of them. He doesnt even greet his customers or even asks them if they need help. A few weeks ago, I (from a distance ) was shopping and I noticed a few customers approaching him for help to which he gives off an annoyed and response. A few seconds later a couple of women( Both attractive ) shopping and he friendly greets them, asks if they need assistance and begins going above and beyond to satisfy them. Afterwards, another customer asks him for help and his Nice guy professional act drops. and a few days ago I was facetiming my mom in the meat area and I overhear this A--HOLE making fun of me with his co workers over my appearance. This Guy is a total A--wipe and I feel disciplinary actions should be taken against him.

This location can be a little intense outside on certain evenings depending on your fear factor and past experiences. After a few minutes of people watching (good place to see folks from all walks..👀) I sometimes need to strategize my entry into the store when I did not bring enough spare change for all.I did learn a very good, unforgettable lesson one night from my bad habit of judging who I think is poor and who I think is not poor based solely upon ones appearance or story.I was able to give and he was blessed to receive in his truly crucial time of need. Dont cha love lifes unforgettable lessons!Ahh one more thing, if deli closes at 9PM why is it closed 8:30PM??

Things are becoming more normal. Both entances/exits are open. Every open cashier has its own line. More disinfectant wipes, paper towels, hand sanitizer, etc. Can bring your own bags now, too.

Store was very good. Had a wide variety of Amys brand products that can be compared to a modest library. Also enjoyed shopping for silk brand products as I am vegetarian. Safeway has a lot of vegetarian foods, you just need to know where to look.

I like going here for the wide aisles and selection of deli foods. Sometimes they dont have everything I want but its within the ballpark.

Always crowded.you can find what u need there.fruit is extremely high priced.The workers are not very nice there but the menlo park Safeway is great..5 dollar fridays is the best thing going..Every Friday.lots of items 5 dollars like Shrimp and Lots of deli items and the Roasted Chickens...check it out.

Some customers not wearing masks and not following the one way rules in the aisles. There was some aisles with customers going both ways and not using the distance rule. The management should have better control. Ill be going back to Luckys even though it cost more but I feel safer for my health.

Today April 8th Hispanic employees were arguing out load near by sushi kitchen and I was listening how unprofessional are Redwood City Safeway employees that they don’t have a proper room to discuss work issues but near the isles were costumers are listening all their careless problems

Yet another Safeway store. If you’ve shopped in one you know what to expect in most of the others. This particular location is quite large and very well stocked. Their house brand products generally have good value.

Scary today. Nobody disinfected carts, nobody controlled the amount of shoppers inside or entering. At cash register 6 foot distance requirement was ignored. On a positive, everything was fully stocked including toilet paper and cleaning supplies.

Its ok. noticed some cashiers are more friendly than others and have preferential treatment towards certain race. just watch and you will see.

Grumpy & Rude staff. Not enough lanes open. Long lines. People ignoring the people waiting in line and walking up to cashiers.Staff refused to check me out because I asked them to open another lane and didnt like the way I put my case of water on the belt. Threatened to call the cops because he doesnt like my attitude. And we hadnt even said hi to each other yet. Worst customer service. Avoid at all costs.
