This is a review for David Jenner and John Shaker on his team. I leased my car through David three years ago, and he was super helpful and trustworthy. So, three years later, I came back to him to purchase a car and he (and John on his team) was again very professional and kind! In fact, he somehow remembered me as well!I’d definitely come back to them!
I had a really bad and wasteful experience at Putnam Service center. After multiple inbound calls from Putnam, I scheduled the appointment with them. I came in and waited for 3 hrs on a working day. After 3 hrs I was told that the workshop is backed up and hence I cannot get my car done on time. No ride was offered or compensation of any form. It was a working day and I had to get back to work. I had to drive my unserviced car back to work. So, I wasted a full day and my car was not serviced. Really horrible experience. BTW, I bought my car at Putnam.
Leased my car 3 years ago. I received an email from Taz letting me know that hes my lease end manager and that I had to consider returning or buying out the car. I let him know that I was interested in buying out my car and that I was currently stuck in India due to a travel ban imposed by the US given the ongoing pandemic. He sent me an email which said that I would need to give power of attorney to somebody in the US and that they could sign on behalf of me. We sent emails back and forth until Taz let me know that the power of attorney route would not be possible. While Taz was very helpful it took a long time for me to receive this information and this was after I sent many follow up emails. I then receive an email from Jose letting me know that I need to have a friend return my car or that they would send a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle. I was absolutely appalled by the tone of the email when there was nothing wrong I did on my end - I was willing to pay for the car and I was willing to do the paper work online. I finally called Lexus Financial and extended my lease.5 days later I again receive an email from Jose that they cannot help me do the paper work remotely and that I need to call Lexus Financial. The email ended with him telling me that I cannot take weeks or months to figure this out and that he was only giving me a few days. This was AFTER I extended my lease already. Its absolutely disappointing to see somebody treat me like this for no fault of mine. I did not default payments, I did not refuse to return the car, I did not delay in responding to their emails and its not by choice that I am unwilling to enter the US.
Called the parts department three separate times of the day. I only ever got to the answering machine. Did not get a call back. Was able to buy the part from the Scottsdale Lexus for a lower price and free shipping.

I never have such a fantastic experience with this dealership, Ly Nguyen is awesome. You can actually get lots of deals from this guy, save me tons of money too. I would recommend him to everyone that want to buy a car. The whole process was so fast, took me only 3 hours. I am extremely happy with my new car.

I had a very bad experience there with 2 red flags, which makes me feeling that I cannot trust them at all. They are the only one around Redwood city and now I have to look into dealers in SF and San Jose.I was looking to trade in my car and get a new NX. First of all, I asked about the differences between 2022 and 2021 NX series and the agent said there is no significant difference, just some price change! However, there is HUGE changes between these 2 models as they redesigned both interior and exterior.2nd, when they looked at my car they offered only $8000 for a very low milage honda civic 2016 while KBB value for that is $19000-$20000!
Purchased the car and extended warranty from this dealership. And have them perform all scheduled maintenance. ONE MONTH after extended warranty expired they recommended $5000 repair work (on suspension). Really, you missed these while the vehicle was still under warranty? Spoke with service manager requesting at least some kind of dscount, but he would not help. Been a Lexus owner since 1998, this is the first big disappointment. Have stopped going to Putnam for further maintenance
Best leasing experience ever. Great customer service, professional staff, and an overall hassle-free experience. Khalil Alwazier gave me a fantastic deal on my new car and was super helpful throughout the whole process. Everything took under 24 hrs from asking for a quote to driving off the lot. Will definitely come back if I ever wanted to lease another Lexus.
We were shopping for a Lexus SUV, we searched thru the internet and found Putnam Lexus in redwood City has the one that we were looking for, as we arrived to the facility this morning, there was a lady standing at the front, she politely introduced herself as Maysa Hamza and she is a sales person for the dealer, as soon as we told her the type and the color of the SUV we want, she patiently took us around the entire lot and explained all the differences on each vehicle, with her diligent work ethics and the excellent services from the entire staffs in the office, by the time we finished, we drove home with a lovely brand new RX450H F sport SUV, we are so grateful to have Maysa Hamza as our sale person and can not thank her enough for the hard work, if any one is looking to buy a Lexus, I highly recommend her as your sales person, keep up the good work and thanks again Maysa!

I recently came in with my husband and 4.5 year old son to buy a car. Robert went ABOVE and BEYOND! During a pandemic, while they are undergoing construction, he took the time to answer all my questions while maintaining safety. He was honest and did not pressure us into anything. He gave us the perfect car for our family a Lexus ES 350 and to top it all off, when the sweet man should have just gone home to relax, he stayed late to make sure I (non tech savvy mom) knew how to operate everything. I can’t say enough good things about him or his GM. I hate buying cars, but this was a real treat. My entire family and I were safe and relaxed during these trying times. I can’t imagine a better experience and I thank Robert and the entire staff for their help and patience. We have had our car for about 3 weeks now and it still makes us as happy as the first time we drove it home. Btw, Robert has even further exceeded expectations by checking in with us and sending us photos of our experience. A true class act! Thank you so very much.
I usually dont leave reviews but I am making an exception for Putnam Lexus. I got a good quote without having to put up a fight. Everything was straight forward and I never felt like they were out to get me. They answered all my questions and I felt respected as a first-time car buyer. Ask for Noah if you can.

This review is mostly about my experience with the General Manager Edward in this store. Terrible customer experience. I wanted to trade in my Porsche Macan with a Lexus RX450H. First, the price is 10K above MSRP and theres almost no room to negotiate due to the lack of inventory. So I decided not to buy it, but they told me they can buy my Porsche. So after negotiating the price back and forth, the sales person Taz who by the way is super nice and helpful told me that the GM didnt want to buy the car. I was fine with that and walked up to the GM, wanted to understand the reason. He didnt say Hi, not even introduced himself to me, and just kept walking outside to the car lot. Super arrogant. I told him thats not the way how he treated customers and he didnt seem to care. Anyway, they lost me as a customer and I will definitely avoid this dealership by all means. On the other hand, Taz is a super nice and helpful sales person though. He sincerely apologized to me on what happened.

Horrible car purchasing experience.All what they care about is you signing the contact and picking up the car even if you were not approved by their lenders yet! So if you will do research you will find tons of the stories when after picking up the car in a few weeks buyers got a mail from the Lender that their loans were not approved by the terms Dealer was promising and they need to agreed to the higher rates or return the car (!). Its called yo-yo scams.Just be careful!DO NOT GO WITH PUTNAM LEXUS! SAVE YOUR TIME AND NERVES!
Such a good experience at Putnam Lexus this month. I was bound and determined to fix my car situation and the sales team assigned to me worked really hard to help me find the perfect solution at the best price. Kal showed me four different cars, crunched numbers on each one, and was creative in coming up with a solution for what I wanted. His manager, Abdel, worked hard as well to find me the right car for the best price. They spent 5 hours with me explaining each option, the various costs, and the difference between financing and leasing. Thats far more than my parents ever taught me! It felt so good to understand how this type of business works. Mark, who completed the financial side of the deal was also extremely helpful and set my worries at ease. To say I am happy with the result is an understatement. This has been the best car decision I have made and I am excited to be driving in style. Thank you so much gents! I bought my car from Putnam Lexus, and take my car there for regular maintenance at the Service Dept.I feel this place has both excellent management as well as talented and caring employees. They have a culture of assuring their customers are very happy with their whole experience servicing their car. My service manager Mario was very efficient and professional, keeping me updated via text message throughout the day on the progress of my cars maintenance. The loaner care was clean and almost new. And when I came to pick up my car, a random technician came up to me asking if I needed help loading my stuff from my loaner back to my car.Please keep up the great and caring service.
I had a great experience at Putnam Lexus. I have to say, it was the person that helped me, Taz that really made everything go smoothly for me there. I was making my first purchase of a Lexus and me really fought hard for me and gave me the best price on the ES. He really cared and understood what I was looking for and never ever pressure sales me. On my next Lexus, I will definitely go back to Taz! He is a gem. I highly recommend him!

Watch these folks! I used to work at a repair shop myself - they told my elderly Dad that his car needed $9000 worth of repairs, then tried to sell him a new car. Took it to another reputable shop & the same issues were resolved for $2000. Were done with Putnam!

Great place. We knew what we wanted. We were pre-approved already with Credit Union. Just needed the car. Called the Dealer, told them we are over 2hrs away. They had car waiting for us and ready. It was that easy. Big thank you to Noah for all his help in making this happen for my daughter.
From the moment I was greeted right after pulling in to the Putnam Lexus Service area, I felt good knowledge about my car and good care was at hand. The waiting area gave me fast Internet and a table and plug so I could work easily. Fad I found me and kept me informed and was personable and of course, thorough. Best Lexus dealer in the Bay
I gave 1 star for PUTNUM LEXUS because I bought a new car only 2 weeks the front bumper jack plug cover on left was dropped when driving on freeway. But the Putnam didnot responsible to pay for that.
Wanted to buy a car, had payment details ready. Agent told me to postpone meeting two days later. While annoying, wasnt a big deal. I stopped my car searching because I found the vehicle I was determined to purchase. Today is now the day to go in, I just recieved information that the car will now take two more weeks to be completed, essentially wasting my time and efforts. When confronted, the agent responded very unprofessionally shifting the blame onto me for not being patient enough. When I used the analogy, if you order food, do you expect it to come that night or two weeks from now? The agent proceeds to make excuses and shift the blame on me. This dealership lists cars that arent even close to being ready and Im sure have already wasted 100s of customers time already. DO NOT BE A VICTIM
Customer Lounge is in a pitiable condition. In the Men’s Restroom. flush not working . No running water at sink, just drips, and the faucet was loose and ready to come off. When I brought up the issues, it was met with a mere grimace.

I brought my RX 350 in for a service at Putnam Lexus, this was my first time using Putnam Lexus. I found the service consultant assigned to me, Ben Nino to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly and was super clear in explaining details of the service report. I found the rest of the staff to be friendly and the service area was very clean and welcoming.Ive a Lexus dealership nearer to me in San Francisco but Putnam Lexus will be my #1 stop for everything Lexus related due to my great experience.

Worst car dealer I ever visited. Stay away if the sales person (internet manager) is Jessica and if the financial manager is Abdele.1. Jessica will attract you to come in by a decent price for a car that is not available, then suggest you to buy another available car without too much discount.2. You may even not meet Jesscia because she is work from home for most of time.3. Financial manager Abdele is very rude. I feel he even discriminates Asians somehow. If you have to buy a Lexus from this dealer, deal with another financial manger named David. He is a very nice person.4. Overall this Lexus dealer is a very small one without too many inventory. Its not a good place to find a particular Lexus you want.
Randy was great, extremely knowledgeable and worked closely with the technicians to understand what items I truly needed additional service on and what items were upcoming. I appreciated the insight. The waiting room was also excellent to work in while I waited and the included carwash made my RX350 look like new again! Really appreciated the great service and will be definitely coming back.
Fred Young is the most efficient, nicest andprofessional service advisor! He is always so thorough and helpful with my car. My experience was great! I always appreciate the car wash and detail. It would be great if you offered your patrons who wait for our car, miss the bagels and snacks! But evetything was super! If people were taking advantage, maybe try again by leaving a note to those “ please take one, be considerate of others “? Just an idea :)
The service at this particular location in Redwood City has always been outstanding. Ive been helped by the service advisers Fred and Val, both of whom have been exceptionally attentive and careful about my needs. I only get my Lexus serviced here because its been so great! I definitely recommend getting either one of those guys to help you.

Service done as promised in the time stated. Leaving with a clean car most appreciated. Fadi, service manager explained and rated service issues that need to be done on a scale of 1 to 3. As my car is quite old, I will work my way through the issues needed to be repaired from the most urgent to those that can wait. Very satisfied with the service at Putnam.
I bought my car from Putnam Lexus back in 2007 and have been taking it there for maintenance very since. The service department staff has always been prompt, friendly and incredibly informative every time I bring my car in for service. The lobby is clean and comfortable, and they have a great little snack and drink bar to pick at while you are waiting! I have been to other Lexus dealerships and while they were nice, they paled in comparison to Putnam. Keep up the good work over there!

I brought in my 2016 RX 350 for a 35K service. This is my first Lexus and also my first time at Putnam. Everyone was very professional, courteous, and customer service oriented, especially my service consultant Ben Nino.They go the extra mile to make sure youre happy. A couple of other employees from the service department said theyd been with Putnam Lexus for 20+ years. That tells you a lot.

Hello Everyone, I must share my story. I am looking for a car, but not exactly sure what I want to buy this time around. I thought I wanted a CT200H - F and went to see one. I met David Mehtabuddin, he showed me the car and we took a test drive too. He was very nice and knowledgeable. Now the important part, as we were walking through the show room a totally different car caught my eye. I left and came back the next day to drive that car. I loved the interior, but it was completely different than the CT. Anyway, long story short, David and his finance director, Josh, really worked hard to make this car work for me. They did everything; factory discount, dealership discount and other tweaks to make the deal work. After all that, I realized I really wanted to stay in my original direction and seek the right CT200H - F. Both guys were very professional, understanding and polite even after I said NO after hours of work! So, there you go...they are good, honest, and nice too. Most sincerely, Doug G.

Staff doesn’t seem to like their job much. Little attention was paid; lacking curtesy. Comparing with all other dealers I’ve visited in the Bay Area, I’d recommend anyone to visit other dealers instead. Any will be better than this one.
One of the best car buying experience. One would be lucky to have Joshua and David as the sales person . They made the entire process quite simple. John was great in explaining the technical aspects of car. These guys stayed back after 7 and ensured everything thing was complete. Greatly improved customer service overall from a couple of years ago. Then, I had a bad experience with check in when they kept checking in cars behind mine even though I had an appointment and I was on time. I waited 30 minutes and even went into service desk and asked to be checked in and was told someone would be with me but never happened. I left without car being checked in. I left a “poor” yelp review.This time, check in was quick and efficient. Many more check in people on hand. They had my part that was ordered, they provided a loaner car with no charge, their price for this repair was significantly less than Serramonte’s price and the work was done well and I had my car back in a few hours.Great service, price, experience. I will update my yelp review to reflect this improvement.Great going!! Thank you.

Had a good experience purchasing our Lexus here. Service department is great...that is while you are covered by warranty and any service plans. Once you need routine maintenance or repairs definitely go to a local shop. They charge repair rates for a basic oil change...so expect to pay a ridiculous amount.
Great place to bring your car for service. Ive been bringing my Lexus here for 4 years and couldnt be happier. Staff is friendly and helpful, they have a nice lounge area and free snacks in the kitchen (In case you wait for your car and need a quick snack) nice detail!

Everyone was very nice and helpful. I appreciated the Courtesy shuttle service. The waiting rooms are well supplied with refreshments. If I had to complain, it would be that when I get the car back, some of my familiar settings in the car have been changed.

Putnam does a good job of servicing my vehicle. I always get a comprehensive maintenance report unlike other Lexus dealer shops. The customer lounge is smaller than others, but the good snack offerings make up for it. My wife and I recently stopped by shopping for our next vehicle. Other than a salesperson asking if we need help, they left us alone the whole time. I really appreciated the space they gave us.
When my car needed much more than what I had brought it in for (it is up around 78K miles now!), the service advisor that I worked with was very clear in discussing options with me, and worked with me on price and specials as well. Left a very happy customer!
The staff at Putnum are fantastic. Weve leased multiple cars over the years and have found the sales process to be quite smooth and not pressured. We have had all of our Lexi serviced here as well and are always greeted graciously and kept up to date on status.

Needed to get my car serviced. After hours dropoff location was easy to find, which wasnt the case with past vehicle manufacturers service center. The people there were friendly and helpful, and coffee was good. No complaints.
The service center was clean. The lounge area was large, clean, and had free Wi-fi. And there was a coffee/tea station and a large TV to watch.However, I did not know the process for checking in. I saw other cars in front of me, but no one approached me or my vehicle while I was waiting. So I asked a gentleman who happened to be working in his office and he guided me to Joe, who was very professional and courteous.At that point, I was told it would take about 2 hours but probably less since it was a 5,000 mile service. It actually did end up taking the entire 2 hours. They did wash my car, but somehow missed the large black smudge on the front right passenger door. Whatever it was, it was sticky, which might be why it didnt come off completely. In retrospect, I wish I would have taken the shuttle home instead of waiting. But...next time...

Patrick Castano and Sal were great! They were both very friendly and professional. I did an online inquiry the night of and went in for a test drive the next day. Sal had filled in for Patrick since he was with another customer. I was very pleased with the car; however, I did not plan on buying it that day so I informed Patrick I will make a follow up appt. He was very professional about it and gave me his contact info instead of trying to push us. Altogether from credit app to finance, it took about 2 hours. It was a very smooth process. Patrick was very upfront about what price he was able to give, so we did not waste time negotiating. Very efficient!!
I understand the limited space in the area, so the dealership is really jammed into its location, but in the 20 minutes I walked around looking at the vehicles, no one came forward to assist. I am replacing my 5 Series and wanted to look at the FSport ES, bilut got no help and left.
