I am delighted that my Subaru warranty has expired. While the dealership did fine (but if out of warranty expensive) work, I can now return to Autoscope where all my other vehicles are, and have been fixed and tuned and pampered for the past twelve years.At Autoscope, Joe and his sons treat you like family while doing the most professional and highly competent mechanical work in Redlands- or anywhere else. From the Jeep to the Toyotas, it doesn’t matter the make, they are on it with knowledge and precision.The work is very timely- they rarely had a vehicle more than two days even for complicated stuff. And while the quality of the work is high, the prices are surprisingly low… hundreds less than the dealership and beneath other shops from what I understand.I’ve sent friends and family to Autoscope and we are all treated with excellent work by friendly gentlemen.Autoscope has actually send me home several times with the assurance that work I asked for concerning that noise or rattle doesn’t need to be done quite yet.Here’s the bottom line with Autoscope- go see Joe, Nico, or Rick and you know you have left your car with family- and you will get top notch mechanical work- only what has to be done, for the best price in town.

The guys here are awesome, very professional and great about explaining whats going on with my car and they let me know what needs to be done and what can wait, and I really love that. Theyre very friendly and a joy to deal with.

The owner really nickle and dimed me. Charged me $65 more than originally quoted because I didnt pay cash, got 3 different price quotes from $695-915, also charged me a $75 diagnostic fee on top of the repairs (99% of shops waive the diagnostic fee if you have the work done there) . Also charged me $25 for bmw coolant, no one tightened my coolant cap and all my coolant leaked out overnight into my driveway. Now I have to pay $150 to have the coolant stain on my driveway professionally cleaned + another $22 for coolant..not a great experience for an Indy shop. Wont be returning.

This place is amazing! Joe and his sons are very nice and do amazing work. I’m so lucky to have found someone in the IE who works on VWs, my car runs better than ever every time I take it in. Autoscope has been incredibly accommodating in making appointments for me; they educate you on what’s going on with your car and how to fix it. I think they charge a fair price for the work and they’re professional and friendly. I’d highly recommend going here if you have a VW (especially the tricky ones like beetles).

Joe is an amazing mechanic! Fast, knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I asked him to look over a used truck that I purchased and give me any recommendations for service and/or repairs. Many mechanics wouldve used this as an opportunity to rack up the bill on an ignorant customer, but Joe only did what was truly necessary and did it quickly. Ill be taking my truck here from now on.

Ive only been here once, but so far I love this mechanic. I had my a/c serviced and they got it done fast and reliably. One of the mechanics was very quick to find what needed to be done, and another produced a very thorough estimate for the fix and it came out at a fantastic price. Not only that, but they stood behind their work with a warranty. After being screwed by other mechanics in the area, I think Ill choose Autoscope for any future repairs!

5 stars is not enough. They deserve more like 6 stars. These guys are simply amazing. My BMW got a major oil leak on a cross country drive and they fit me into their busy schedule and fixed my car quickly and at a very reasonable price. I was very impressed with them.

After a few telephone quotes to repair a power steering boot I went to the low bidder, Autoscope. The repair was done quickly because Joe had ordered the part in advance. As the other reviewers commented, Joe came across as a knowledgeable and honest mechanic. And lowest cost too. How often do you find all three in one place?

After taking my daughter to school I was coming back home and I accidentally scraped the wall and really messed up my girlfriends car doorI knew that was going to be it for me but I had gone to autoscope in the past and they always gave me good serviceI immediately called autoscope and I talked to Nikko to see if they can remove scratches he said yes come on by and 30 minutes later a lot of the very hardcore scratches were almost unseeable!!! thanks Nikko thank you autoscope I owe you a beer .

They replaced the clutch on my VW Jetta two months ago and I am back to shifting like a champ. I liked how they helped me think through the process of repairing or selling my 16 year-old wagon. I thought the quote was fair - it was in the same ballpark as other mechanics who didnt specialize in German autos and there were no hidden costs. I dropped it off on Friday afternoon and I was able to drive it to work on Monday morning. My only caveat would be to know that using a credit card here will incur extra charges; I dont remember this being stated up front. Hopefully I can get another 250,000 miles out of my Jetta!

Im sceptical about most mechanics, but Joe and his team are excellent! I had some issues with my car and I took it there based on several suggestions from friends and colleagues. Joe and his staff examined my cars engine and determined the best repair. It cost me half of what other shops were quoting (their reviews are less than to be desired). It took a day and my car has ran great ever since. Thanks to Joe and the guys at Autoscope!

Had a unique problem with my starter that was going to cost me an arm and a leg and my firstborn child as well at another shop. Super cool people, they found someone to finance me with low credit score.

I was able to schedule an oil/filter change appt in less than 24 hrs. I requested to use factory-recommended oil; added cost, but I expected this. At the appt, I also requested a tire rotation. The oil/filter change was completed on time. Tire rotation was not done as I was advised all tires needed replacing; a thorough verbal and visual explanation was provided. I also was advised on needing front brake pads. I was offered quotes but declined due to time constraints; staff was respectful of my decision.Follow-up 2.5 months later... Ordered tires and brake pads for installation near home (SF, CA). During the appt, I was advised I did not need brake pads as they still had 55-60% remaining. Not sure how driving 4K miles increased the life of my breaks. Downgrading 5-to-3 star rating for trying to sell me something I didnt need that I couldnt verify for myself.

Joe has taken care of my family for the past 10 years. As long as they are open I will never go anywhere else. He actually turned my business away once because he said it wouldnt be worth putting any more money into an old car of mine when he could have charged me thousands to fix it. We were able to save our money and wait for a new car instead. On another occasion he worked past closing over the weekend by himself so I would have my car on Monday. Always great prices, super fast turnaround, and the best customer service in town. Thank you Joe!!!

These guys are awesome! My daughter was out in CA for a concert in my truck and it completely shut down on her. She got towed to Autoscope, they diagnosed the issue within an hour. It actually only needed a battery and a battery fuse! They didnt try to take advantage of my 21 year old daughters lack of car knowledge and upsale her anything and were so honest and true.
