And we were able to arrive at our destination safely..

It frustrates me when I bring my vehicle in for a specific service and they go off on rabbit trails and diagnose something else. Then they charge a diagnostic fee. 105.00 extra and what I wanted done is still not done. Other than that it was fine.

So I was referred to this place by my mechanic when he couldn’t get around to my truck. These guys were super professional, easy to talk to, and I thought they were well priced. They ain’t cheap, but I’d say it was well worth it.Had a bad ground to the motor and frame. Part was more then I really want to ever spend on a ground cable, but it’s super beefy. They even took the time to wrap new cable wrap around the wire and clean up the area. Totally unexpected really. They didn’t have to go that far and most people might not notice the little touch like that, but to me it really was above and beyond.While I hope I don’t have any other issues, I know I can get a quality automotive repair if I take it to them.

Quality Auto is the best! My late husband, who knew cars inside and out, selected this excellent shop! Since he passed, they have really been so kind and looked out for me and our cars. They are fair, they do not price gouge but put in quality parts, do excellent work, and the mechanics and staff are most courteous. I could not ask for a better team to care for our cars! Honestly good luck. If your car doesn’t have a check engine light they won’t be able to help you. The lady at the front desk knows absolutely nothing and has very bad temper would not recommend horrible place.

Frankie and Brandon were fantastic to work with. I don’t know a ton about vehicles and they thoroughly explained the work that they recommended and why. Also, this is probably the cleanest auto shop I’ve ever been into, which made me comfortable leaving my truck with them.

We broke down 175 miles from our home while Towing our Large fifth wheel. We were in a bad situation that was solved by Quality Auto Repair when they diagnosed our problem with our Duramax diesel truck to be a Blown fuel Injector pump. We were quoted a fair price and was informed of progress on the repair daily by phone call from Quality. We were also helped with getting our trailer home before repairs were complete by Frankie, who did all the repairs also. He is also finding a good Mechanic in our area to service our future needs with our truck. Frankie has gone above and beyond what we expected to help us. A#1 people and company!

My vehicle broke down on the highway (I-5) just above the exit and the tow company recommended that I use this shop. Received a quote (that I had to pay for) that total damages on the vehicle were just over $12k. Decided that sounded like highway robbery and took my vehicle to another shop who ended up completing all the work for only $4k total. Totally got swindled for the amount of the estimate since half the parts they said needed to be replaced were completely fine and didnt need to be replaced. Glad they were able to steal my $$$ for the quote that steered me away.

Quality Auto Repair is a great place to have your car repaired and/or smogged. Brandon was very professional from day one when I dropped my car off to have the a/c installed to when I picked up my vehicle. It took some convincing the computer that it now had a/c but in the end the a/c works great. QAR handled the warranty company like champs and kept me informed. I highly recommend Quality Auto Repair.

I was driving from Arizona to Seattle when my car broke down right outside of Redding. Quality Auto Repair was able to quickly assess the issue. My fuel pump went out, unfortunately there was no fuel pumps in Redding but they were able to get one shipped into town over night and had my car ready to go by 9am the next morning. Made it Seattle safely and quickly after they fixed me up. Highly recommend! Great customer service. Thanks again quality auto repair!

Our car started having engine troubles on our way to the Bay Area and we called Quality Auto Repair. They checked the car that same morning, ordered the parts ( stored the vehicle free for 3 days) and had it ready for us on our way back. Lacey even found us a rental car and Laura rushed us over to Hertz to get the last rental car in town. This shop saved our vacation and did the repairs at very reasonable cost. Well, when my vehicle broke down, I planned to go to another shop that was super cheap but it had mixed reviews and they didnt seem organized, professional etc. The tow truck driver recommended me the Frankie at quality automotive. I was leery to try a new mechanic but decided to take a risk. I arrived shortly and discussed the repair needs with Frankie and got my estimate. He was very helpful, accommodating to my requests as I usually repair my own vehicles. Im sorta particular that way. Anyway, he was very fast, did what he said he would do. His shop was very organized and he had a fantastic waiting room and clean and professional staff. Usually shops like this charge $120hr and charge you exactly what the book says. Frankie only charged me the time it actually took him. I found him to be very fair and honest, reliable. Thats why I rated them 5 stars!

The staff at Quality Auto are the best! From the moment you set up your appointment you can tell this is an above average, profession establishment. They are fair on prices and have always exceeded my expectations. They have earned my continued business indefinitely.

My partner and I werent planning on stopping in Redding, but a failing clutch kept us from making the long drive home and we needed to get it replaced stat. We called around, and most places said they couldnt see us for at least a week. Quality Automotive was able to take us on with a quick turnaround time -- we were on the road less than 36 hours later. Apparently they have specific priority for travelers who find themselves stranded, which was wonderful to hear. Lacie was so sweet and gave us rides to and from our AirBnb since our car was out of commission, recommended places to stay and food to eat, and offered us amazing customer service. The lobby is comfortable, clean, and has complimentary snacks/drinks. They got the fix done quickly, at a fair price too! Would absolutely recommend this place.

I was getting ready to leave on a long road trip and my rack and pinion steering went out! Frankie got my car fixed properly and in record time. The road trip went off without a hitch! Definitely recommend!!!

This has been the absolute best auto mechanic experience I’ve ever had. My fiancé and I started our roadtrip only 4 hours before our RV’s brakes started shaking and smelling. We also had issues in the engine with a belt making noise and smelling. We got stuck in Redding because we could tell there was no way we would be able to continue with all our issues.Every auto mechanic place we called either said they couldn’t see us for weeks, or they wouldn’t work on a RV. Quality Auto Care told us they would squeeze us in, even though they don’t normally work on RV’s, and would help us out.As soon as we walked in we received nothing but excellent customer service. The waiting room is beautiful and professional, with comfy couches, and complementary snacks, coffee, and water. Lacie was exceptionally sweet and accommodating, and made us feel right at home. She gave us suggestions on food in the area and things to do while we waited for our vehicle, and had an incredibly upbeat, positive way of speaking to anyone who came in the door.We are extremely impressed with the quality of service, price, and the timely fashion they worked in. Best mechanics & shop in Redding! Family owned and family friendly. Excellent staff. Comfortable waiting area with tv and coffee. We wont take our vehicles anywhere else.

Asked them to replace a rear piñon seal. Charged $400+ for piñon seal plus other associated parts and a $90 inspection fee. Never replaced seal, differential continued leaking until I brought the car to my home mechanic, about 450 miles later. Home mechanic graciously called quality auto and demanded refund for me. Ended up getting $118 back.

During a cross country road trip my car broke down and we got stuck with a horrific mechanic in a different town. After they messed up the repairs my car broke down near Redding and was towed to Quality Auto. The tow truck driver said they were honest people and he was right. They were extremely fair in pricing and helped me get back on the road as soon as possible. They also had a very nice waiting room that I didnt mind sitting in for a couple of hours. Wish I had this place in my home town!
