Tried to get my father in for a booster and flu shot. He used the online option to make the appointment, and followed the procedures set forth on the website, printed out the form and arrived no more than 5 mins before like the website asked. Once my parents arrived, they were told that the form needed to be filled out day-of, a second round of paperwork was needed for his flu shot, and booster shots were only available at a certain time and not his appointment time, and turned him away. Only a small sign gave this new info, and none of it was available online when he made the appt. The pharmacy here has gone so downhill in the last couple years, and this proves that they just arent equipped to properly serve their patrons. Go to anywhere else for concise, clear care with well-outlined guidelines. I understand computer or communication issues, but this isnt the environment for these kinds of mistakes.

Given that Rapid City is growing by leaps and bounds, its amazing that the grocery stores in this town (Safeway foremost) are stuck in the 1990s. Safeway suffers from narrow aisles, poor selection, always understaffed. Stopped in today to pick up a few things - took about 10 minutes. However, when it was clear that it would take 30 minutes to check out, I booked. If there are any grocery entrepreneurs out there, please get RC the world-class grocery store it deserves - its 2021 for Gods sake.

Really gross. Most of the produce was rotten or rotting. Tons of freezer burn covering every item in the freezer, some of which were expired. Trash on shelves that nobody had the time/care to clean. I shouldn’t have to check the expiration dates of everything I’m buying because I’m worried it could be a month out of date.Edit: We purchased sliced Turkey and it was coated in some yellow slime in the middle. Seriously? Check your inventory.

There seems to always be an issue here when I visit. They have the products I want but checking out or getting around the store can be a chore at times.

This place has gone down hill BAD. They are always understaffed and the shelves are in disarray. Sad. I hope they get things figured out….soon.

The guy that checked me out was a @!#.Literally threw my groceries to the end of the counter. Decent help is hard to get I understand but this type of behavior is completely unacceptable. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

Came here to grab some groceries, lots of options to pick from as usual but prices are surprisingly high, seafood counter was closed by 5PM which is super early. Weekly ad for strawberries just started today and there werent any more! Needed help at self checkout, had to wait a bit for employee.

Store was clean and well stocked. Lots of options. Friendly employees. Bathroom was a tad grimey or would have given 5 stars.

Four stars only because there was no liqour in their Beer and Liquor department, only beer and wine.

Nice supermarket, surprisingly large for its first look. Clean and light place, good quality fresh groceries, courteous staff, - overall a very pleasant experience.

Neat and clean and the staff is helpful.The hardest part is walking around with all the smells (bakery and the Deli) and not get hungry.Prices are always good and the specials are even better.There are stores closer to home but worth the effort on occasion to drive out of my way too go here.

Extremely friendly staff. Knowledgeable and helpful. The deli crew is expecially to be commended, as they have gotten my order right 99% of the time.

Nice clean store but need to seriously redesign checkout area. They usually have 1 aisle with a cashier and rely on self checkout for rest. Nobody knows where to lineup for checkout and just gather in front aisle blocking traffic for rest of shoppers and frustrating people trying to check out.

I dont mind small stores, but I do dislike unfriendly staff in any size store. Thank goodness there is another, larger and kinder Safeway in town. This was convenient for a couple of items. Not again.

My family and I stopped by this store on 6/20/21about 9pm, while on vacation. I was immediately leary of the out side of the store....the trash cans were overflowing and there was trash all over the ground. The sliding door opened and there was also trash inside the the store on the ground. We found the shelves inside the store pretty empty. The produce was not fresh and things were very messy.I unfortunately had to use their restroom, it was filthy.They did have self check out which is always convenient.

Everything is great. However, Ive been looking for White Chocolate Mocha - 40 Fl. Oz for almost 2 months and nothing.I went to the other store with no luck. Honestly, thats the main reason why I go there.

This store was NOT typical Safeway. There was literally little or no produce! Filthy and disorderly store. We tried to ask manager a question and she blew us off. I did buy 2 things and they were gross. Never recommend this store.

The Safeway on Mt. Rushmore Ave. is the prime source for fresh meat, vegetables and variety at good quality and fair pricing most of the time. I still recommend the smaller, non-corporate butchers, bakers, fresh markets for high quality needs but budget determines taste. Many times a balance of this Safeway Market store and smaller high quality ma&pas will fit an average middle income requirement well enough to stay nourished and health/flavor satisfied.

My usual store but beware of the meat. I was looking at chicken today 5/1 it needed to be thrown away the chicken was discolored and looked like a dry sponge. I never buy meat products from here. Im talking about the butches block fresh from raw meats! Not the deli

Safeway has the nicest check out people. Selection can be strained, but probably is most places because of stupid CCP bug. Good grocery store.

Constantly out of EVERYTHING.Never enough staff, always busy with a cramped space. Feels like everytime i visit all they have left is the stuff people DONT want.... you think they would change that to accommodate more of what people DO want.I try to avoid safeway at all costs.

Went to the store on the east side of town. They were out of pico de gilo. Otherwise I got everything I went for.

Unstocked shelves and produce, never more than 1 out of 5 isles open, and rude staff all make this place a terrible place to shop.I hate to say it, but Ill be taking my money to Walmart from now on. The shorter drive is no longer worth the saved time for me.

Dont come in the morning, no check out staff. I tried to stop for a quick item a week ago, one lane open, backed up down the isle and no self check out open, I went elsewhere. Today it was nearly identical, one check out backed up down the isle and TWO self checkouts opened that were also backed up, with one basically blocked by someone who didnt know how to operate it.

Cousins have used a few more cashiers on duty. Also a little grungy. Overall pretty average.

I have to give the employees props here, they are severely understaffed and yet manage to keep a good attitude even when impatient customers get rude with them. Keep up the good work, it will get better.

Nice produce and good meat love the delicious bread selection fresh baked from the deli. Picked up the monthly special 8 piece chicken, dinner rolls and a bag of salad plus 2 liter bottle of coke product for $5.

Finally found the creamer I like! International delight almond joy. And on sale, thank you very much to the tall employee who reached it for me! Also found a perfect prime rib, on sale!

I was just treated very rudely by your employee Sonia not sure if thats spelled right but I had one can of nice day she opened her aisle and said I can help whos next we were in one of the three lines and ran over there and she was like this is for whoever was next in line so I took my Canon left to a different one she didnt need to say anything she literally could have scanned my one can and the next person I could have came in 30 seconds but instead she decided to be rude and now I never want to come back to the store again

Was busy place but found what I wanted.

I do understand during these time people dont really want to work, that being said we had to go and get a cart from outside, multiple items where either out of shock or nobody to stock the shelves, the check out lines took about 8-10 minutes to get thought, the only staff seen was at the checkout, two checkouts open and the self checkout

Road construction hurt mount Rushmore Rd but its coming back fast. Lot of sale tax$$$ on mount Rushmore Rd isnt coming back fast . THEM and everyone else. ITS COMING BACK FAST EXT 56 OPENED UP WE WOULD ALL BE BACK TO NORMAL THANK FOR EVER ONE THAT HELPED.

Disgusting! I watched a female employee run out the door, puke 3 times then put snow over it and collect carts! Never washed hands or clean puke. I will never step foot in this store again! They obviously make sick employees come to work and infect the public!

It had been a while since Ive been in a safe way and driving by I thought Id give it a chance, wow forgot how nice and clean Safeway is and the amount of products they have And during this covet 19 I was shocked they had plenty of meat because other places I keep asking wheres the beef. Price is were very good The bakery mouth-watering end up taking more home than I need it. I recommend if you not been to the Safeway lately stop in and give it a try. Have a great day.

Absolutely love their deli and fresh sections!! Also the card ends up saving you so much money and the food(even their store generic brand) is better quality for the price as well as healthier choices and special diet friendly:)
