I am wishing I would have bought my ring anywhere else. It is beautiful and I love it but I do not love Zales. I took my ring in to get the wedding band put together and they had it for over a month. When it finally came back a week before my wedding it had lose diamonds and needed to be sent back immediately after my wedding. Zales has to send all repairs out and I do not like the jeweler they use. What kind of a professional business doesnt check their work?
Worst experience with zales! I ordered a ring online, and after check out the first problem showed up! I did not get any confirmation email or anything. At first I thought okay it is not a big deal! When I did my online order I asked for ship to store and pick up(I wanted the ring as a surprise for my pregnant wife when shae gave birth so did not want it to be shipped to my address). They said that I will receive an email when the order is ready is ready for pick up! 20 days passed and nothing happened! One day I accidentally checked my account and I saw that the order was shipped few days before the time I checked my account!So I used the chat option in the website and they said that it is ready for pick up eventhought that I did not get any notice email!Finally, I called the store to see if it is really ready! I called them at 10:55am and they open at 11am!The lady who answered the phone said we are not open and I asked if she can check my order since she answered the phone and she hung up on me!!!! I called again and it went to the fax machine! Finally through customer service I was able to track my order and pick it up.Imagine what I have been through for a simple order! No communication! No polite store staff! The whole process was a bad experience for me. I know something though! Never order online on Zales!
Good products, very bad service. A blonde lady with glasses appathetically helped my fiance and I get a band for my sterling silver engagement ring with a single quartz stone (not from Zales), helped us buy the warranty so they we can get soldering done, and waited 2 1/2 weeks just to have the same store rep call me and say we dont work with quartz. I made it VERY clear in the store that the engagement ring is the same exact size size and same exact material as the band, and I had specifically asked if differing stones would be a problem. She had said only the band size difference could be a potential problem (and it wasnt in this case.) Again, she sounded like she absolutely did not care, no apology for wasting our time or anything. We went elsewhere for soldering. Ive heard from several people since then that Zales cant be bothered to assist anyone with anything once they make a sale, so be warned.
Went in Sunday 7/25....they did not have my ring under my husbands name, who bought it, or his phone number. Needed to get it resized. The blonde in a black dress and glasses was so unhelpful and rude. Pretty much told me I was SOL if she couldnt find my warranty number with his name or zip code. Thank goodness for the other worker. She had dark hair and light colored shirt. She said no I will call customer service. She found my warranty info within minutes. Need more like her and less like the other lady.
Took my ring in for regular check ups and was told that everything looked fine. A week later I had 2 prongs break and took it in for repair and they destroyed my ring. Looks like they heated it to much and it became unrepairable. I had to get a completely new ring even though we paid extra for the “good” insurance for things like this. I had to go to a different jeweler for a trade in and still didn’t get a ring anywhere close to my original.
Most Zale stores are a great place to shop for jewelry. But, I have not been to this store yet, so cant really say anything,Plus or Negative about it.

Our last recent visit was a very good experience! The consultants were very friendly, thorough and informative. I went in to do my inspection on my ring with plans to just get it cleaned. With their attention to detail they found a prong was broken and a few other details and made me feel very comfortable and confident with the process to get it fixed. We have been doing business with this Zales for at least 4 years now. Of course big staff changes can have questionable people at times, but again this last visit had great staff working.
My boyfriend and I found what we thought was the perfect ring (Snow White). We found online and he made the appointment and Zales confirmed that they would have the ring in the store in Rapid City and when we got there the sales lady was adamant they didnt have the ring wouldnt even go look. But why make appointments if you arent going to have it in stock?!
My fiance and I went to Zales in Rapid City twice in the past few months. We were helped by two different people and both were extremely pushy. We could definitely tell that they did not want us going somewhere else. The second experience was worse. The lady did not listen to my preferences. We then went to other jewelers which made Zales look even worse. At other places they found rings that matched my preferences and understood when we did not find one we liked.

WORST online experience EVER! I ordered a necklace online on Feb. 6th as a Valentine’s Day gift and the necklace apparently it won’t arrive until March 1st after free 2nd day air shipping was promised so screw Zales I won’t be buying anything there EVER AGAIN
Picked up an online order here... the woman was annoying and acted like she didnt want me to touch the necklace I paid for... she became more friendly when I wanted to buy a protection plan though
This place is rip off! And the lady Kaitlin is the worst employee I have ever seen! And going behind current employers back and taking a job at Riddles!
My husband and I went in to find myself a new wedding band. No one greeted us as we walked in. But ok, I see you all are busy. We walk up to the counter and a lady looks at us, saying nothing,walks by and then helps another customer. Another employee walks past us, says nothing but walks up to another customer and asks if theyve been helped.... ok. Maybe Im invisible. So we stand and wait patiently as others are being helped. After about 10 minutes of being ingnored, we went to Riddles and those ladies went above and beyond to find the band Ive been looking for. Never again will I shop at Zales. Riddles has my service from now on. And I will send all of my customers their way as well.
Went to Zales last night to pick up my engagement ring and the lady who helped us was SO rude! My bridesmaids and I thought we were being pranked on TV or something, she was awful. Horrible customer service.
