Someone needs to do their job and train these workers to do things the right way. First you tell my wife that she can return some eccentric bolts for store credit one day and then on another day they say they can return it to the card. Then you ask for my wife’s ID card when she is just returning something and could’ve used the store credit but NOOOOO! I guess I will have to boycott this store from now on since this store has issues. First it was a horrible manager and nothing was done!! Now you have workers just throwing things out there for answers. I bet half of them haven’t ever changed their own oil on their car and it shows by the way they act and talk in the store. You deserve zero stars!! I will be taking my business elsewhere
My friend and I were passing through and had some mechanical issues. We stopped across the street at OReillys and got treated very well. They didnt have one part that we needed so my friend ran across the street to this store. Upon entering, the employees were short with him and seemed to busy chatting with each other to be of any help. Very disappointing and reflected poorly of the fine citizens of Rapid City.
We are on a month long trip pulling an RV. Weve had a battery issue developing. The crew here was friendly and responsive.Thanks for your assistance, for stocking what we needed and welcoming our resident mechanic to switch out the batteries in your parking lot.
Every time weve gone to this location have gotten the wrong parts sold to us. The employees are to busy talking to each other to get the right parts. Maybe they need more training on how not to be rude and hold conversations about football when with customers.

During the coldest week of the year (-30 wind chill) I traveled 3 hours to Rapid City for a specialty medical appointment. To my dismay, the heater stopped working and engine began to overheat in my vehicle. Upon advice from my brother, I pulled into Auto Zone. The gentleman, DJ, did an outstanding job with assisting me. Even to the extent of locating a cab company to get me to my appointment. He insisted we wait inside in the warmth of the store. Which I might add was immaculate! My granddaughter and I noticed how ALL customers were treated with respect and kindness. Professionalism at its best! Hats off to this business! I appreciate you!

Went in to get windshield wipers after paying I asked the employee if he could put them on for me he said he could. Im giving the store and employees a five star rating because the store was clean and the employees was friendly, quick and polite
NOTE: This review is only for free parts testing and nothing else, customer service was great regardless of what happened afterwards.Dont go here to get your car parts tested. They tested two electrical components I brought in, and they said it was fine and not broken. So I towed the car to a mechanic and they tested the parts and said yes, the two things I could of fixed myself were the problem and nothing else. Get your car parts tested at nappa.

Do not trust the FixFinder OBDII scanner they use. I took my 02 Jeep Wrangler in for a misfire and check engine light. Their scanner reported that i needed to replace the cylinder head because of multiple misfires ($2,000). Turns out that i only needed a crank position sensor ($35). No telling how much they make from customers with that machine.

Pathetic service!! I called to check on a tool. The guy said he had two in stock. I came to town to buy one and the lady there was absolutely clueless. I asked for the guy I talked to and she just kept telling me they didnt have one in stock . She went around the store talking to different employees and never came back to the counter. Ill never go back!!

Overall AutoZone is a very good change regarding auto parts. Personally Im not a fan of the layout of the cashier versus the attendants were who would look at the parts for you when they get very busy it is very difficult for the employees to know who is in line who is first how to get help . AutoZone offers very competitive prices regarding parts theyre shipped to store and shipped home services are very good as well and I only give a three-star rating simply because the last few times Ive been in there the stores have not been able to adequately handle the customer flow which was resulting in lower customer service tender . It is what it is if you need auto parts sometime you just dont have a choice.
Went in with a after market light build that I had no luck finding a replacement for. I went to a few other places in town and they we’re unable to help. When I went into autozone I was met by Amy. She took time to help figure out the exact bulb assembly I had. She was very knowledgeable and polite. I can’t say enough about the great service she showed me. Thank you Amy!
I like the store, dont get me wrong, but made a purchase on a credit card and ended up not needing the item so I took it back for a refund. I dont understand why it takes 7-10 business days to refund money back to a card, when it didnt take 7-10 business days for them to take the payment, they get paid immediately and we have to trust that their system is going to work and give your money back 7-10 business days later...does anyone else see the problem?
The part I ordered got lost after waiting for over a week. Reordered same part. After waiting another week, I was told part order was canceled. Waited over 2 weeks for nothing. Very disappointing.

For years this is the only place Id go for parts if I could help it. NOT ANYMORE! Every single time Ive gone here the employees where kind and very willing to help, but not this guy. Unfortunately I didnt get his name. When I got there he was pouting just throwing shirts off to the side. All I asked was for a belt, showed him a picture and with a terrible attitude told I need this and that when I havent in the past for that same belt. Then I asked him for wipers like I have every other time Ive bought them from these folks. He asked me a price rage again with an attitude. I told him to tell me what you have, and with even more attitude, lets try this again... mentioned the price range. I didnt put up with it rightfully expressed myself and left. HOW ABOUT YOU HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS WITHOUT A DAMN ATTITUDE, SHOW THEM WHAT THEY ASK FOR OR KINDLY REDIRECT THEM! IT IS YOUR JOB TO DO THESE THINGS!
Great customer care, needed new headlight lamps (bulbs) for my 2005 Nissan Altima and was able to get the right ones. Gave professional advice on the electrical housings for my headlights (Previous owner got aftermarket ballast for Xenon lamps) and who would be best for getting correct replacements. Staff is friendly and professional, knowledgeable about vehicles and parts required for general and slightly advanced maintenance.

Its my usual go to for auto parts. This summer there were a few guys Ive seen at other parts stores working there and they were less than friendly. But I went back a week or so ago and there is almost a whole new crew working and they try to make sure you have the right parts and a pleasant experience. There are a few new hires that are still green but like I said, positive attitudes and I will definitely be going back for those odds and ends

This is the first RUDE individual I have ever encountered in an Auto Zone Store. Just thought you ought to know. Times are risky right now for STAFF and customers but neither need be RUDE.
I shop for my auto parts here for several reasons. First, the service is great and very knolagable employees. Second, AutoZone offers a military discount and on top of this if your part of the loyalty plan after 5 purchases you earn $20 towards your next purchase. Their parts guarantee is one of the best in the market also.

I’ve always gone through autozone for my car parts but a lot of times seem to have problems with brand new parts so I’ve recently started going through Napa and I’m a lot happier with the parts I get from there so far no problems

Just had an a amazing expierence with Doug! He went above and beyond to help out my friend with her blinker bulb! He helped us locate the correct bulbs and then even offered to replace it for us! Then he even let her know that she would need to cover up her brake light with red tape so she wouldn’t get pulled over. He was very informative and showed us what to do should it happen again. Put the tape on the brake light and replaced the bulb! Such an amazing employee!
Ohio here! We broke down at the top of Mt. Rushmore, over a thousand miles from home. My son called Auto Zone from Ohio, and a young man named Zane had the part ready and waiting for me when I got there. He was extremely helpful, and went above and beyond to help get us back on the road! Thanks Auto Zone and thanks Zane!

Cody was super helpful. Couldnt start my car in the morning so he instructed me to take the battery out of my car and bring it in for testing. Brought it in, they charged it up in about an hour. Took it back home, and my car started right up. They even tested to make sure my alternator wasnt the issue, all for free!

Ive always went to these guys first for the best price, but god damn, when you gotta call 6 times in a row to get someone to answer the phone, Ill go elsewhere. Hire the store some more help for gods sake, every time Im there I end up standing in line for 10 minutes. You can do a better job, take initiative and fix it after however many years of the slow service.

Some places you go to because you know they have what you need. I did not know what I needed, the guy at the counter listened to this non-mechanic and guided me to several solutions. If everyone who works here is like the guy I talked to, Autozone is great.

I had a trickle charge I thought may not be working and asked if they could hook it up to a fully charged battery to see if it still read the same as when I hooked it up to a dead battery and they would not do it they said there were no outlets close to the batteries so I went across the street to OReilly auto parts they hooked it right up and found out it was the trickle charger so i got a new one from them works great
After calling about 6 stores looking for an upper radiator hose, they claimed to have the hose I needed. I drove 3 and a half hours to pick up the part they were holding for me to get there and told there is no part. So I figured I can at least get a radiator overflow hose and purchased one, I asked the man named Cody behind the counter if it was the right size and with a smart ass remark said, its the one that pulled up so yeah. Woke up this morning to put it on and he gave me the wrong size. Employees were rude, unprofessional, did not care, and extremely slow, waited in line that was backed up to the door for nearly 20minutes. A group of high school kids would do a better job at running this store.

Bought a alt and belt from them with lifetime warranty.belt kept braking,but they always replaced it.till the last time i will ever shop there.employee found when i got the last one in the computer.he then told me sense i didnt have the old belt they would not replace it.i told him like i told them every other time it broke.how am i suppose to know when/where it broke.this was on a 1994 geo metro so nothing but idiot lights. so i paid for the belt and left never to return.
