One of the best experiences I have had at a clothing store. Luis was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable. Being a bigger guy, it’s sometimes a pain to look for clothing and shoes. He definitely made the experience better. Go see Luis at this location for all of your business and casual needs!
Great selection for men, prices are a little steep
Great staff and selection
By far the rudest staff every went today around lunch. Staff had no interest in helping us. I have been a customer for years and love the shoes. Hopefully corporate can get this store new employees that respect every one. Very sad
I like the shoes and belts. Friendly staff.
Scott, the manager, was super helpful and friendly. He offered valuable suggestions for helping me match a pair of shoes with a belt that will be part of a suit for an upcoming wedding. From the moment I walked in he assisted me and made me feel like I was valued and important. The quality and the designs of the clothes are something I really like as well. Id never been before, but will definitely be back.
Very good customer service, quality products and good prices.
Ive now bought 2 pairs of J&Ms from this location in the last 6 months. There is literally no better customer service experience than what this store provides. Joseph is the man, very knowledgeable and passionate about their products. I even had an issue with a pair of shoes and they didnt question they just replaced them for me, no hassle. If youre in the market for a quality shoe, look no further. Great selection in stock and they have all the accessories available such as belts and shoe care products as well.
Worst customer service ever! I am a frequent shopper at Johnston and Murphy and have never had a problem until today! I ordered the incorrect shoe size and came in store to exchange for the correct size. In my haste, I didnt open shoe box until I got home. One shoe was still in the bag and the second shoe was scratched and obviously one that had been used on the store floor. I went back to the store to get two new shoes (since that is what I paid for) and was treated as if I were lying! I was told the scratched shoe was not used but simply scrathes easily...hmmmmm....so I have not personally worn the shoe...so how did it get scratched? Then I was told my size was no longer in stock in the store so they would have to reorder. No problem...I thought! Well, the transaction continued to go downhill when I informed the cashier that I also needed to return the belt purchased to with the shoes because I changed my mind. I was then told that I could not return a used belt! What!!! The belt and shoes were never worn by me and had not left the bag they were purchased with! I would never do anything like that and have spent a lot of money in this store! I am just appalled!
They had what I needed and the service was good. The sales guy was working to sell accessories. I forgot about the sales push as I have been mostly internet shopping.
Busy store with hard-working sales reps. They always seem to find a cutie to staff the register as well. Buyers, beware. 😜
Great intentions, but left hanging. I recently received a new pair of Johnston and Murphy dress shoes for a gift. However they were too big, so off to the Crabtree store we went to exchange them. Upon arriving, the associate was super helpful and promptly found the size I needed, verified the ones I was exchanging looked good and hadnt been worn, then started the exchange process. She asked if I had a receipt, then remembered they were a gift and proceeded on. The system wanted a name and zip code of the gifter to look up the order, I told her what I thought it would be, but no luck, it wasn’t pulling up. She then asked for manager assistance and he said, very politely, he wouldn’t be able to exchange them because he didn’t know if they were purchased from J&M, or another retailer. I still thought, it is an exchange, not a return, why does it matter? The ones I brought in to exchange were in better shape, packaged nicer, and still had the paper wrapping. The store ones were just thrown in the box with laces scattered. The store experience started off great, but in the end we left feeling defeated and a little embarrassed. On the way home I decided to call J&M corporate to see if they had any suggestions, another very polite associate greeted me and asked how she could help. After telling her about the sizing issue with the gift and recent store experience, she quickly said don’t worry, we will take care of it. After getting my information, she said a prepaid label and exchange form will be in your inbox within a few minutes, asked if there was anything else she could do, and boom we were done in less than 5 minutes, plus it cost me nothing. This is how customer service is done folks.I am not blaming anyone at the store, it might be a local policy, but it is hard to swallow if corporate can exchange without any fuss or issue, then why can’t the store? This is the problem with brick and mortar these days, and the reason why people shop more from home. Hopefully this gets read and the store fixes this issue.
You dont judge a legendary shoe company by one salesperson who probably doesnt even work there anymore. you judge by the quality of the shoes. I have 15 pairs of their shoes - which have lasted very well. I have 10 belts, and a few garments which have also lasted. This is why you buy their shoes - because they last. Im not sure of the review here where Max had a defect and bought one item. I have 25 and I would never buy any other shoes. Theyve been making them since the 1800s.
3 returns for same defect in 20 days (sent by mail from warehouse) Manager at Crabtree store said he had no control over the quality as they were pulled from a warehouse. Did not say sorry or anything to earn my future business.
This was a quick stop at a gas station. I stopped in for 2 bottles water. The cashier was not welcoming.
Great selection and customer service
Good quality, pleasant but pushy staff. Kept trying to sell you something else.
Expensive shoes for the quality and comfort but very nice nonetheless
Have to say when my three girls are behaving perfectly while my husband tries on several shoes which he is about to purchase which will cost us over $300 and the manager Scott walks in when no one else is in the store at all comes over and takes the box which has little stockings in it that pisses me off! The girls were sitting quietly and harmlessly putting one or two on their feet while their dad tried on shoes. How rude Scott! That’s not good customer service. I wanted to walk out and say forget the shoes but I know my husband liked them. Did you do that to make my children feel bad? How pathetic and shame on you. The young lady on the other hand that works with you that helped my husband with the shoes was very pleasant. Word to the public, I guess you shouldn’t take your family in the Johnson and Murphy store?
