So simple and yet so delicious. What an amazing authentic French cafe. I can’t say enough about my experience. The atmosphere was very unique and cozy. You no longer felt like you were in a city when you stepped inside. All the vegetarian sandwiches were delicious and freshly made. My friend described it was an explosion of flavors. We will be back.

Sosta is a small, comfortable, and quiet cafe with phenomenal food and coffee. The limited menu helps keep the small kitchen moving fast and keeping the quality on a top tier level. The food is comforting and light with the portions being perfect for continuing your day without feeling like there is a lead weight in your gut. Everything is made fresh and it really shows. We will definitely be going back and enjoying the laid back atmosphere.

After visiting the Saturday Farmer’s Market in Raleigh, we found this great cafe in downtown Raleigh! Perfect find for vegans, vegetarians, coffee lovers and those that like conversation. The French owner was a delight and full of personality. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching, especially after the Presidential Election! Parking was free on the weekends

This is the Riviera sandwich. The most amazing sandwich you will ever tried.As a vegetarian, I have tried countless mozzarella, pesto sandwiches. The Riviera is by far, THE BEST SANDWICH! With a generous side of delicious couscous and bean salad.You must try it. You are welcome!

Super fantastic and delicious find today on our first downtown-Raleigh day since moving here. Many places are closed Mondays, but we were fortunate to find Sosta Cafe open and obviously a local go-to.We ordered the This Little Piggy vegetarian bbq sandwich, The Ultimate Grilled Cheese, and chose couscous and garbanzo beans salad as our sides. We were not disappointed and so impressed between flavor and portion size that we know well be making this a regular visit whenever we can.The ambiance inside is mellow and inviting, and seating outside is available for eating al fresco. Next time well save room for dessert and coffee, but today we were beyond full. Definitely give this business a visit.

Jerome asked me if I was staying, then he said to get the coffee in a coffe cup, not a paper cup, it will taste better. Sosta is 15 years in Raleigh. I travel for business and this was a great stop for coffee.

The food was so tasty and the ambience was calm. I loved the low lights! The espresso machine was broken but the barista/manager was super clear and polite telling us right when we arrived. Hope to try your espressos soon! Super cute restrooms btw 🙂

Stopped in today with my son for some lunch. WOW! So many wonderful options and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the little piggy sandwich and it was delicious. Flavorful and moist. You can tell it was made with fresh ingredients and love. We will be back and next time with the rest of the crew. Cant wait to share this wonderful treasure we found with everyone.

Delicious and healthy food made with eclectic ingredients from around the world. Tastes so fresh and comes in massive portions! Theres so much food that I literally cant finish it all in one sitting (and I can usually put down a lot of food). Also, theres an impressive vegan selection that you just dont find at many restaurants. Plus, the owner is like the nicest guy!

We stumbled upon this gem and couldn’t be happier that we did. The atmosphere was so inviting and accommodating and the food was excellent. They made us a more kid friendly dish for our two kids and the owner was so friendly. He made us feel welcome. Definitely recommend.

This might seem like hyperbole, but I honestly think its the best food in downtown Raleigh. You wait 5-10 minutes longer than youd expect for a sandwich because EVERY DETAIL -- the bread, the tomatoes, the cheese, the sides, the meat... -- is of exceptional quality. It is truly a hidden gem. Well worth going out of your way for. Its a slice of increasingly rare quality in a rapid go-go-go world. Sosta, if youre reading this, NEVER CHANGE.

The This Little Piggy vegan BBQ sandwich is the best Ive ever had. The bean and chickpea salads are also absolutely amazing -- the most flavorful bean salads, again, Ive ever had. To start, let me tell you, I have gone here probably 10-12 times so far, and the food is consistently the best Ive had by far.Ive ordered almost every sandwich, and theyre incredible. I dont know what the man and his shop does to their sandwiches, but theyre incredible every single time. Nothing looks put together in a hurry, regardless of how many people he has in the shop. Ive been there and Im the only one, and Ive been there and there are 10-15 people. It varies, and Ive always been treated with a smile and as fast as possible.The sides! Two sides with every sandwich purchase! Wow! And theyre not afraid to lay it on the plate. You will be full walking out of that restaurant. If you havent gone here yet, do it. I promise there is no better shop for sandwiches out there in Raleigh or the surrounding area, and I always try sandwiches wherever I go.Also, he makes lattes, and theyre absolutely fantastic as well. A small is about 16oz, and Its incredibly flavourful and the milk is steamed perfectly every time!One more thing... the shop has an incredible vibe! You will walk in and see vintage art and toys. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well, and he does to-go orders as well.Enjoy!

Im astonished by the amount of food you get for the price.I had the chicken curry sandwich with couscous and chickpea salad and I really enjoyed it. The place was cozy and the owner was very friendly. My only complaint is it is a small restaurant so sound does travel so if you want to go eat somewhere quiet I would not suggest this place.

The best sandwich shop in downtown Raleigh. The tastes are so unique and bold. Pollabella, a chicken/mushroom/cheese/arugula mix on a bagguette is simple, yet amazing. Just tried the chicken curry wich, a giant meal, and so good. The sides are sooo healthy and delicious. A regular spot for me of course.

This is one of our favorite spots. Great coffee drinks and amazing sandwiches. Owner is amazing and the decor inside is fantastic. Very chill spot to read a book and enjoy the food and coffee available. I get the “Piedmont” which is arugula, prosciutto, and melted tallegio on a baguette🤌🏼Soooo good.

Ordered an Americano and their Alpine sandwich. My choice of sides were the Israeli Couscous and the Chickpea salad. Next time I will get double the chickpea salad because it is addicting! You can tell this place is loved by all that walk in. It is clear that the owner takes good care of his place.

The sides that came with our sandwiches were chickpea salad and pearl cous cous. The flavors..just amazing! I got the Dude, wheres my chickn vegan sandwich, and my boyfriend got the steak vegan sandwich. You will not be disappointed going here. Not only is the food great, the owner is very friendly, And you can tell that he takes great pride in his restaurant. I understand why, this place has fantastic food is downtown Raleigh!

Great coffee. Great service. I came for breakfast and had an extremely delicious omelette. You can tell the ingredients are all fresh. Spinach, onions, peppers, and cheese 👌. Definitely will be coming back to try one of their vegetarian/vegan lunch options, they sound awesome.

Three times Ive had lunch here, and its been perfect every time! The place is small and uniquely decorated, the staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic. The fresh made side dishes are so, so good! Highly recommend Sosta Cafe!

Stopped in on a walk around the town and it was amazing. The gentleman who was working (I think the owner) was great and helpful. They have an amazing selection of vegetarian and vegan options that really sets them apart from a lot of the other offerings in Raleigh. I ordered This Little Piggy with a side of couscous and cannellini beans salad. One of the most filling and satisfying vegan meals I have ordered in a very long time. When I visit Raleigh again, I will be returning and I suggest you do the same.

This is one of those great small spots, it isnt very big but the flavors and value is. Bunch of healthy options on the menu as well. I had the Ultimate Cheese Sandwich, no regrets...not much else to say than that.

Good eats & lovely people — I biked over to get the vegan sampler platter (which is fantastic). Although they were busy, the girl behind the counter took the time to repackage my to-go box so it wouldn’t spill on my commute back. Sosta went above and beyond on the service and continuously serves up delicious food. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Many thanks to the Sosta team.

The food was excellent! Everything we had was very fresh. The owner is extremely friendly too, he chatted with us for a good 15 minutes about the history of his restaurant. Its refreshing that he is more concerned about his relationships with his customers rather than just profits. Will definitely be back to support him

I like the art and the international flavor. The salmon salad vegetables were fresh but the fish was fishy and a very small portion (3oz?) on top of the salad. The couscous and the chickpea sides were nothing to write home about. Overall I enjoyed the visit but with all the different restaurants and coffee shops to choose from here, I probably won’t be back for a while.

Delicious lunch spot! Tons of charm in the decor and the food. Super friendly atmosphere and filling dishes. Literally happened by this spot by chance and needed a quick bite. Tried the Leah (Turkey), Poulet (Curry Chicken) Guido (Roast Beef) each had its own unique flavours that were an amazing fusion. The sides were all delicious, the baby in our party particularly loved the Israeli couscous! (And the staff was excellent setting up a table to accommodate a high chair)

The food here at Sosta is simply wonderful. Always fresh and very delicious. The owner is the most pleasant person you could ever meet and always goes the extra mile to make sure your food and the service is 110%. You can tell his heart is in everything he does, from the greeting he gives you as you walk in to the quality of this food.

Great vegetarian lunch options. Servings are generous and sandwiches come with delicious white bean or chickpea side salad and Israeli couscous. The vegetarian chicken salad was great! The owner and other staff members were all super friendly and accommodating. We live in Durham, but will definitely come here again when we are back in Raleigh.

As a vegetarian living in NC, when you turn up to a cafe and they have more than five vego options on the menu its like - Christmas has come early! They make their own yummy pesto, the coffee is great, the baguette is fresh, the salad sides especially the Israeli couscous are delicious! I could go on, but if this hasnt sold it you already then I dont know what else will.

Amazing food. My wife and I are so glad we found Sosta Cafe. We basically stopped eating anywhere else. There is nothing on the menu we havent liked. The coffee/espresso is excellent as well.
