I was in the mall about an hour ago. I go to this mall once every several months. I’m usually dressed up in a tie for work, so I go in pretty casually here.I was ignored as I walked into other places, even though I was 1/3 persons in their stores.1. This was the only store out of 7, where the sales person directly came up to me to ask me about something specific I was looking for. 👏🏽😳2. Then she talked about what I was looking for.3. And checked up on me while I was browsing.She knows customer service. Being acknowledged as a customer was great! Besides what I was looking for, I started to look for gifts but gave myself a time limit.Unfortunately I didn’t buy anything, but I was fully serviced.

Always love the staff at this store even when they switch it up theyre always hella knowledgeable and super nice.

During a pandemic, the way this store was conducting themselves was perfect! After waiting in a small line, I got pretty open access to roam the store without EVERYONE else crowding me. I spent more today then I had in years because I could actually LOOK at the product! Anyways OUTSTANDING service during the middle of the Christmas rush!

Friendly staff based on my experience (shout out to Lane who is very nice and helpful). Pretty good inventory of items. Well organized. Not too crowded normally, which is a plus. Easy to find in the mall. Would recommend and would return.

Nice Hot Topic store. Lots of variety with their products as expected. However giving a two star because before the pandemic there was an occasion where my latinx girlfriend and her brother were being followed consistently throughout the store while we were browsing. Multiple employees eyes were on them the entire time. I didnt notice much because I was doing my own thing but when we left they told me and I was so aggravated for them.

Hot Topic is my style. I love things that represent my interests. They always have clearance, sales, and other good deals. The only thing that bothers me is how clingy the staff is. I know they are just doing their job (i used to work retail), but I had one girl ask me if i was doing okay 5 times in 10 minutes. I couldnt even look around without her being after me. And it was not just one store, but two others. They need to change their CS approach.

This is my main hot topic I go to all the time for my favorite items, they keep everything updated and posted on there hot topic instagram so I know when some pretty cool stuff is heading there way. The staff are really friendly and are always ready to help you. Sometimes the store can be a mess but thats to be expected from a big store in a compact way, they keep things organized which is great. I recommend this hot topic to people

Every other time I go in the workers greet me. If they were consistent about greeting their customers maybe then Id give them a better rating.

They have so many trendy clothes and items that its hard to get just one item. Its more of a store for teenagers and young adults and its perfect for me to get the clothes I want from certain trendy bands, games, or TV shows.

Hot topic is a great place to get some knick knacks for me as they never carry my size of clothing. I would spend more money there if they did, but its a fun store none the less.

This is the best, and I mean the best store ever! This store is especially really really cool for teens. This shop has a lot of different clothes! But the not good part is, the clothing is super expensive! Well I mean you would problebly be like, well its a clothing store! Well for a deadpool backpack, it was $70. Thats a lot of money for a backpack. Other than that, this is the best ever store!❤❤

This review is for the employees. I love the merchandise at Hot Topic. I went in to purchase some apparel as this location was having a clearance sale on T-shirts and tanks. The WHOLE ENTIRE time, I had multiple employees hovering over me and interrupting me non-stop!!! I was asked 4 times within 10 minutes by the same employee if she could take my 2 items to the counter; I repeatedly said no because I was comparing and matching to other items I was looking at before I made a final decision. I got the feeling that they thought I was a shoplifter due to how much attention I was getting from the employees; both verbal and visual. 2 employees followed me around wherever I moved to look through bins. I understand they need to be on the lookout for shoplifters, but this was ridiculous. I could even hear 2 employees talking about me and my bags (from other mall purchases I had made that day; which hello duh that means Im actually buying things, not stealing them); It made me very uncomfortable and completely turned me off from buying anything. To top it all off they pressure you on sales here worse then a car dealership or furniture store. Very unpleasant experience.

Maybe quite a bit has changed from the past couple of months ive read of previous reviews.Store had a good selection of pop culture clothing and merchandise. However, customer service was lacking. No greeting when walking in the store or at any point of walking around looking at merchandise for a solid 15 to 20 minutes. Probably because it was more **Critical** for two employees to chat about personal life than acknowledge a customer at least once. Maybe its different staff from precious months but if you have a customer in a store for almost half an hour and cant even acknowledge them. Than maybe managment needs to hire some new staff and suggest these two workers get a job not in the service industry.

The blonde guy that works there was so snotty when I came in to do a return. Made me feel uncomfortable and like I did something wrong. I had bought the item for something specific and it didnt fit so I brought it back. His attitude was completely unnecessary. Perhaps Ill just shop online next time.

I dont usually leave long reviews, but I thought Id share how pleased Ive been with Hot Topic in recent years.I frequently get gifts for my kids here, (ages 9, 13, 15 & 17) and I can always find something they like. They have a good selection of entertainment and pop culture items, particularly for the younger crowd, both male and female pre-teens, teens, younger adults, as well as clothes, accessories and make up, and even some references to characters and other stuff for those of us who grew up in the early 2000s, 90s, 80s. They carry LGBTQ related merchandise in the store near us too, which is sometimes hard to track down unless youre in the right neighborhood, or order online.Anyway, what *really* stands out compared to when I was younger, is how helpful and friendly the people the associates are. Based on my visits way back in the day, I definitely didnt associate this store with good customer service, so hadnt gone into one since I was a teenager.That said, I was pleased upon returning a couple years ago. As a 30-something Mom on a search for a specific musicians merch for one of my girls, I was greeted by friendly and helpful people, and they really helped a lot with finding what I was looking for.Since then, I have been shopping for Birthdays & Christmas gifts at Hot Topic a dozen or so times, at a few different locations in Washington actually. Ive never been disappointed. Ive had my kids along a couple times, and everyone there is always nice. It feels like theres an emphasis on positive customer interaction that wasnt necessarily there a couple decades ago...and I feel so old saying that 😬But, the shopping experience is comfortable and less stressful, due to the helpful staff, and the store feeling more welcoming.

Always a great experience in here. Its been one of my favs since high school. Things can be pricey but they have good sales.

Let me start off with Ive been shopping at this hottopic since I was 14 and Im now 27. Ive done a lot of business here, met some really nice workers, had good experiences. My girlfriend went into the store today and was treated awful by the manager of all people. She had went to the store a couple weeks ago after work so she had her backpack to carry her work clothes, she doesnt have a car so she takes the bus and needs the backpack to carry her stuff. She went in there and was watched like a hawk by the manager Fallon. I understand stealing is a big issue in hottopic, Ive seen it happen before and know its the employees job to watch out for it but the way my girlfriend was treated was unacceptable. The manager made comments at her as she left the store saying Looked through all those t-shirts and didnt find anything in a snotty way. They were doing their hot mess sale where there are boxes upon boxes of shirts everywhere, in which its hard to find specific sizes or shirts. So she spent some time looking through them for herself and I. This upset me but we didnt bother pursuing the store over it. Today she went in there again, after work and was let with the same mistreatment by the same manager Fallon. This time she did one worse, she called out my girlfriend immediately asking her, you gonna look through those shirts again and buy nothing again. And proceeded to follow her around and harass her until she finally left. She had my girlfriend in tears, I will be reporting this to cooperate as well as reporting this to the better business bureau. And I will be taking my business to the Tacoma mall hot topic unless corporate doesnt want to make this right, then they have lost my business entirely.

Manager was extremely helpful and friendly. Every associate was friendly and helped my daughter find exactly what she wanted.
