I went in October 2021 due to my car being backed into and as a result knocked out my driver side review mirror and dented my front door and causing it to make a horrible sound every time I opened it. One of the mechanics, Steve, was so friendly and personable! The process was so smooth and easy. He gave me an amazing price for the body work job and was able to finish it within the day! I highly recommend this service for ANYONE!! I’ve been to many body mechanic places in the past, but this was by far the best and honest place I’ve been to yet.

Had to get the bottom of our bottom of our bumper fixed after we came down on a curb the day before a long drive home. Arrived as they were opening and we were out before the hour was finished, plus they fixed on our tire pressure. Great and friendly service, highly recommend!

I was involved in a light hit and run a few weeks back and needed a section of my car buffed. The manager brought in one of his guys and not only buffed the area I pointed out but went around my car to clear up other areas! Wow! Where do I begin in this review? Well, I am writing this review not even 10 minutes since Ive picked up my car. As you can see in the pics, I swiped my passenger side quarter panel on a pillar leading into my apartment garage. Very unfortunate situation -- I began researching auto body shops the same evening it happened. How fortunate am I to live walking distance from State Auto Body. With COVID going on, I was able to upload photos of the damage directly to the auto body shop, Steve called me about noon that same day and asked me if I was available to bring the car in. Everything was extremely smooth and it helped to keep my anxiety down about what had happened.Steve and Mario were extremely helpful throughout the entire process from helping me through submitting the claim to insurance to getting my rental car set up. Steve knows all about customer experiences and customer service; hes all about the customer and their happiness. As you can see, my car is back like she never left....dare I say looking better than before the damages lol. But they were speedy and kept me updated as often as I requested.If you are ever in an unfortunate situation like me and youre anywhere near State Auto Body, youre doing yourself a disservice going anywhere else honestly. The guys at State Auto Body do impeccable work. My car was recently side-swiped and it needed repair. Steve Paiva at State Auto Body took my call right away, walked me through the process both at State and with the insurance company (which was a bear and which Steve handled very professionally), and got the repair done as quickly as possible. He also arranged for a car rental company to meet me at State and it couldnt have gone more smoothly. My BMW is in perfect condition. State Auto Body does A-1 work and I highly recommend them.

State Auto Body is awesome. I had a minor fender issue that needed to be repaired. I first went to a large local dealers collision center and in typical dealer fashion they were just rude and their timelines were absurd. I understand things are backed up with COVID but they told me 4 weeks before I could come in and then another 4-8 weeks for it to be fixed for a simple bumper repair.I live right down the road from State Auto Body so I called them to see what the process would be like, right from the start they were super friendly and had me come in that same day. You can tell right away that Steve really cares about his customers and his businesses reputation and it shows in their glowing reviews.He ordered my parts same day(OEM-not after market) and called me as soon as he knew when they would be in so I could drop off my car and have it all fixed as quickly as possible. After years of dealing with dealerships who never provide updates and take forever to complete anything Steve has been a breath of fresh air and honestly seems like a great guy.Even though I havent even had my car fixed there yet, I already know its going to come out perfect.

I took my Jeep here recently to have some bodywork done and I am very particular when it comes to my baby! I couldnt have asked for a better job done, they went above and beyond with the work they did and it cost me a lot less than it could have at another mechanic. Steve, Mario, and the technicians at State Auto Body are some of the best in the business. I brought my Subaru Legacy GT in for repairs after an accident because they are one of the only independent auto body shops certified by Subaru in Rhode Island. Steve and Mario made sure that the adjuster accounted for genuine OEM parts for my repairs and did a great job keeping me in the loop as to what was going on. If you have a Subaru, Honda, Acura, or anything else in need of repairs definitely give State a call, theyll make sure its fixed right the first time.

I came in just to get a quote on the damage done to my vehicle. I had a dent in my fender which also prevented me from opening my drivers side door. The AMAZING owner (I believe) took his time to hear me out and came outside to look at my car. He asked me if he try to fix the dent as much as he could so I could at least in my car from the drivers side. He drove it into the shop and almost fixed the dent completely! I am so grateful that he helped me and at NO COST! He was kind and truthful about the quote and gave me helpful advice (since I asked him for it!) If anything else happens to my car, I will definitely bring it here!

I’d like to tip my hat to Mario and the State Auto Body crew for not only giving us great service but for also doing “the right thing”.My daughter had her vehicle serviced there and as they were repairing her Honda for different issues they notice that a certain repair that we authorized wasn’t necessary so they informed which probably wouldn’t happened at another repair shop. And that indicates to me that they are in the business of making new customers and retaining them. They also offer complimentary shuttle service which is a Godsend since my daughter closest relative lives two hours away.Once again, a big Thank You to Mario and his team which I def recommend and I’m not hesitant in rating them 5 stars.

Car was not drivable and insurance took about 2 weeks to come out to them and they didnt complain or charge for the extra long wait. Explained what was going on to me, priced out tires for me and easy people to talk to. Brought back car because of a concerning noise and they had me come next day no charge done in under an hour. NOT pre-accident condition! FIND A FACTORY AUTHORIZED SHOP INSTEAD! Poorly aligned panel. Panel bolts rusting, unlike the untouched bolts. How much effort would it take to align the panel and coat the panel bolts??? Also they didn’t step me through the gotchas and warn me about getting rental authorization with the insurance company. Or maybe they could have handled that since I contacted them 2 weeks prior to drop off. Instead, I went a day in the middle without a rental because I had gone over the customary 4 days rental. Also I think they were trying to be nice by armor-alling the interior, but they left dark smudges on both A pillars, which are light fabric, and I would have told them no-thanks had they bothered to ask me for permission first! PEOPLE PLEASE STOP HANDING OUT 5 STAR REVIEWS TO EVERYONE AS THAT IS THE MAIN REASON I CHOSE THIS SHOP!

About three weeks ago I was referred to State Auto Body. When I first contacted Steve he immediately took over dealing with the insurance company on my behalf because they were refusing to give me a rental even with the police report stating it’s the other drivers fault. I got my rental and never had to deal with the insurance company or adjuster. When I picked up my car is was immaculate! They went above and beyond with service and expectations I had going there. I will never take my car anywhere else from here on out!

I had an excellent experience with State Auto Body, who was recommended to me by Trish at Waynes Service (I would similarly highly recommend Waynes as a mechanic and from my experience there trusted Trishs advice very much). State Auto Body was extremely helpful and understanding both over the phone and in person for guiding me through navigating my insurer and the other drivers insurer, as well as the car rental, when my car was rear ended. This was a new and intimidating experience for me but they guided me through it. They also called up Enterprise for me and got me a rental right away (when I had initially just brought my car by for a look) so I could leave it then and there instead of having to make another trip. They made things easy for me by letting me leave the rental with them when I was ready to pick up my car, which they took care of (rather than needing to drop it at Enterprise and then get shuttled there). I did not even have to deal with the insurance appraisers because they just looked at the car on-site at State Auto and communicated directly with the people there. My body work took longer than estimated due to storms, difficult-to-find parts, and a mistake on the case of a company they ordered a new wheel from, and State Auto covered the car rental beyond what my insurance covered for the extra time it was in the shop. My car looks awesome after the work (which I know was difficult - they even had to paint my new wheel since they could not find the discontinued after-market wheel in the same color I had purchased it). Finally, they gave my car an immaculate cleaning and detailing and it has not looked so good since it was new. The only thing that could have been better was that because my car took longer than expected, I kept having to check in with them about the new anticipated done date so I could sort of plan my schedule for going to pick it up - they always were speedy to reply but could have been a bit more proactive about reaching out to me. That being said, I know a lot was up in the air on their end (they werent sure when exactly it would be done, waiting on parts, etc.). Thank you State Auto Body! I highly recommend their services and would use them again in a heartbeat if god forbid I need to (though fingers crossed I will not).

I came in here because the car had a 1 inch nick to the primer. I originally came in thinking Id have to spend a ton of money, but Steve walked me through, and instead recommended I touch up the paint. He forwent money for the sake of what was best for me both financially and practically. He is a stellar individual and I will be recommending this shop to everybody!

Came in for a repair on a Mini Cooper. They were able to perfectly match the distinct blue color. They said you might be able to see the difference if you look really close but it honestly looks like it just came off the line. Friendly too

After trying to remove two white marks with a kitchen sponge from my brother’s borrowed car; I quickly realized that I was scratching the paint and ruining the finish. I found State Auto Body on the internet and after talking to Steve, I no longer felt panicked. I was able to bring my brother’s car in and within 30 minutes, the scratches were buffed and touched up. This place is great, and the other glowing reviews are well earned. I brought in an older car with a broken door handle. They put the handle assembly back into place and told me that I could just order a handle online and put it in myself for a couple bucks-- for free. I got the part, but could not put it in myself, so I brought it by and they installed that for free too. Nice to be able to go to a body shop with the confidence that you wont be upsold on unnecessary repairs or labor.

Wow!! Just picked up my car from State Auto Body. They did a great job repairing my mini coop. Looks better than the day I bought it. Car was rear ended and needed repair to bumper and exhaust system. I hope that I never need another repair but if I do, I know who Ill call.

Ive taken two vehicles here for body work. Ironically, both repairs were roof damage related. The shop did a fantastic job restoring the cars to mint condition, and went out of their way to remedy an issue caused by a defective windshield. Theyll get all my business in the future!

I wont ever take a vehicle to anyone else, its great to have an auto body shop you can TRUST, they are few and far between.

Dropped my car off to repair a driver side fender damage. When I went to pick up my car it was in brand new condition. I could not tell a difference and they did awesome job. The people in the office are excellent listeners and go above and beyond meeting customer expectations. I will come back to these guys for any auto body repair and I highly recommend to take your car there.

The guys at State Auto Body replaced and repaired the bumper and quarter panel of my 2007 Honda Element. I knew from when I entered the office when I was dropping off the vehicle that these guys were meticulous and professional because the office was immaculate. I really appreciated Marios pleasant and direct approach. I truly believed he cared about the work and that he would take care of me. The body work took a little longer than estimated and he was always forthcoming with the information. The day to pick up the car it was cleaned and detailed like I had just purchased the vehicle. True professionals and I would recommend!

I got rear-ended and it was the worst possible time. I had a newborn at home and I didn’t know what I was going to do. A trusted friend said that they knew a guy. I never thought being in a car accident could ever be stress free or positive but that was my experience. They took care of everything with insurance and even down to the rental car company waiting for me when I dropped off my car and picking it up. The best part was, when I picked up my car telling them “I thought I just needed a new bumper and not a whole new car.” They hadn’t just fixed my bumper, they had it spotless inside and out. My car looked brand new and I am definitely glad that someone told me about State Auto Body. I hope that my review will help others find this amazing place. I can’t even explain how they took an overwhelming time in life and made everything work out in such a positive way.

When you walk in an auto shop and the place is clean, has coffee available and the walls are filled with certifications and awards, you know you are in the right place! Steve & Mario are extremely honest and helpful and repaired mine and my mom’s cars to pristine condition with minimal impact on our lives. Can’t say enough good things about State Autobody!
