Me and my family have been going here for 10 years. They always treat us with the utmost honesty respect and never try to upsell you anything. Their prices are fair and their staff is friendly and helpful. I almost paid for a service i thought i needed they were quick to tell me i didnt and saved me money. They even recommend i go to a store for tires to save money. Now thats honesty you just dont find to often these days.

I have been taking my car to EAC for several years. Armando and his staff have always been honest and upfront with the cost of what needs to be done. The work was always completed in one day and it is always done RIGHT. I was very disappointed with BMW dealer service and have never been disappointed at European Auto!

I had $800 worth of work done here on March 5, 2020. I had taken it in for a check engine light. The check engine light came back on a little over a month after that repair. They told me to bring it back for warranty check. I brought it in this morning and mr. Williams said he would have someone look. 30 minutes later I asked if it had been looked at. Oh yes he said and it is something completely different but you owe us $150 for diagnosing that. I expressed surprise and that it would have been nice to know I would be charged $150 to be told it was not their faulty work. I told them I objected but they forced me to pay to get my car back. I should have been told they were planning to charge $150 to look at it. The whole ordeal took less than 30 minutes. That is highway robbery. Just a warning...very sneaky and suspicious business practice.

Simply the best and most honest automotive repair mechanics Ive ever worked with. Absolutely first rate workmanship; fast and dependable. I wouldnt take our cars anywhere else.

Its a relief to have found this place. Armando and his team are for real. Honest, fair and knowledgeable. Its a tough business to satisfy everyone, but I would guess that they are close. Old school kind of service which is hard to find. Keep it up.

Best auto service Ive used, I have both a Mercedes and a BMW not only did they fix the problem but diagnosed it quickly and honestly. My cars run so good now. Armando is the man very knowledgeable

Great prices,(very fair and transparent). They have expert technicians. I recently brought my Audi A4 in for an oil change and they had the correct factory recommended oil at a fraction of the price of the Audi dealer. They also gave my car a thorough inspection... With the same recommended service that the dealer found 3 weeks earlier, again at a fraction of the price. The way I found this shop was that a few years ago my VW beetle was having an electrical problem that other service shops were unable to diagnose. Not only did their Volkswagen guy figure it out, but it was fixed quickly, at a great price, and resolved the problem completely. If you have a German car,( any other I would assume) this is the place for you.

I moved from Boston and failed Smog. My check engine light was on. They replaced a faulty check valve. A day later the light came back on. They took the car back, didnt charge me labor a 2nd time and identify a failed Air Flow sensor in the emissions system. Was not cheap but it was fair! they could have easily thrown their hands up and said it was going to be thousands to clean out the entire emissions systems but their mechanics took the time to really dig as deep as they could to help us out! I recommend this to others. If you have BMW and your complaining about cost go buy a Honda! Seriously......... Luxury comes at a price. Enjoy your vehicle because i love mine. Thank you European Auto. I took a star off for not enough smiles from the staff. Its very apparent they are a busy organization. I would hope they dont forget how important it is to visually show customers they are happy we chose their business for our needs. -Anthony

Absolutely horrible experience with this shop. I would not reccomend them to any one. They lied to me about parts being wrong and not fitting (I put them in myself, they fit) so I would have to buy new ones through them. Upon returning the parts I had already I was laughed at and told that I was completely played by the shop I took my car to. I was lied to about part pricing as well with 2 parts. After showing them in person I know how much a part was they said here look ill show you on my computer but he ended up showing me the exact price I was telling him the part should be... They were extremely rude to me, and would argue with me when I would question what they told me (because it seamed like a obvious lie). Which I find funny because In their lobby they have a sign about how important customers are, even with one of the lines saying something like customers are never somoensu to argue with or I shall never argue with a customer. Quote was $120. Was charge 630.Just another one of those shops that will lie and scam you just to make a quick buck. Not to build a long term customer. Dont waste your time. Go to a expert.

I scheduled an appointment for a second brake and light inspection after the corrections noted by tech were performed.Upon showing up the certified technician came in and whined about it being to hot in the sun to do it and all the bays are full.At that point I was asked to come back the next day. I already took time off work to meet this appointment. I pressed for the agreed inspections to be performed. Glenn, their so called certified specialist changed what needed to be fixed upon second visit. When confronted on why he didnt list it in the original check and write it up on paperwork, he through a tantrum and walked away. I wont even get into the brake inspection which he refused to sign off on anything and didnt even offer to work with me on what needed to be accomplished to get the vehicle passed. I wouldnt take a car there for service.

I have an old Toyota Corolla that I thought had seen the end of its days. I took the car to European Auto Repair in Old Poway to get a smog test for what I figured was the last year Id have the car. Armando and MIlan checked out something in the engine area, while doing the smog test. They found a hole in a small hose that was calling the engine to sputter. Also an electrical wire that was loose and causing a ground. They told me about the problems and said they could fix it for around $70. Well, for less than $100 bucks, plus the smog test charge, I was able to drive my old clunker away. No more sputtering engine, no more headlights flickering. That was in April and I still drive the car to work almost every day. To get my clunker fixed, I would have been willing to pay around $500, which I told Mr. Armando. Instead of charging me $500, they charged me $78. Now that is honesty! PLus, the guys at the office Rodney and Ian know some great jokes...haha.

We have taken all our cars and work vans to European Auto for thelast 15 years.I always thought they were honest, sincere and extremely helpful.We have since moved from Poway but continue to drive to EACfor any work on our cars.Gail Albertazzi

Great shop... Price performance and theyre close!

I hope this review may save others from being clipped by this shop the way I feel I was.Car mechanics have been taking advantage of motorists who have breakdowns since cars were invented. Thank goodness for the Internet, as mechanics will no longer get away with such nonsense over and over without others being warned about them.During a recent breakdown in San Diego, I had my car towed to EAC. The next day they quoted me $4,500 for a job that I a more honest San Diego shop (in my opinion) quoted for $2,200. When I had the car towed to the second shop, EAC presented me with a bill for $539 to get my car out of their shop...... EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD NOT COMPLETED ANY REPAIR AT ALL!When questioning EAC about this, their PR man, Ian, changed his justification story on the phone with me TWICE during the same conversation.In my opinion, this shop, managed by Arturo, is anything but honest.Based on my experience, I believe EACs sees people from out of town as grapes to be juiced.I feel lied to and cheated by European Automotive Center out of at least $300.In my opinion:If you break down in Poway, tow your car ANYWHERE BUT TO EAC.Even if you live in San Diego ...Avoid this shop like the plague!

I take all my family cars there for everything from smog tests to major repairs. I even send my friends and neighbors. If EAC overlooks something (which is rare), they always make it right. Been going there for over 15 years.
